Bonjour,
Mon macbook pro 13" refuse de charger alors que mon chargeur est neuf. Je l'ai testé sur un autre ordinateur, il marche. En revanche mon ordinateur ne veut se charger avec aucun chargeur, je suppose donc que c'est le port d'alimentation qui est grillé.
Je voudrais connaitre le prix du changement de cette piece en magasin Apple?

Only Apple knows the cost of the port. Also, note that the problem might be related to the logic board or the battery, so in these cases, repair will be more expensive. If the logic board has to be replaced, you should consider the option to buy a new computer because a logic board costs half of the price or more of your MacBook Pro. Take your computer to an Apple Store or reseller to get it repaired

Hi i cannot change the brightness on my late 2011 macbook pro. It is stuck on the lowest level in which i can't view the screen without a flash light. Please i need help how to solve this. I have just changed my internal Hard drive on my MacBook pro. I had recently downloaded some movies on iTunes which I want to put into my iTunes library on my new internal hard drive. I have put my old internal hard drive into an external capsule but when I open the icon of the hard drive from the desktop I can't find my movies.
At the moment I have the new movies downloading again from the cloud but it is literally taking hours for even one movie to load.
When I changed the internal hard drive I restored my info from my old external hard drive which hadn't been backed up in a month and hence does not have my latest movies...
I am concerned that I might go over my internet usage limit (flatmate is refusing to change to unlimited package!!!!) by downloading all the movies again from the cloud never mind how long it is taking...
Is there any way to restore all my info and media from the old internal Hard drive in the capsule as well as from the external hard drive?

It means there is no bootable system on the drive. If you still have access to the old drive, then I suggest you boot from it then clone it to the new internal drive. Use OPTION boot to boot from the Recovery HD on the old drive:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
     1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu then press the Continue
         button.
     2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
     3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
     4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it
         to the Destination entry field.
     5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
         the Source entry field.
     6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Source means the external old drive. Destination means the new internal drive.

no, you’d need a Thunderbolt-to-FireWire adapter or Thunderbolt-to-USB adapter to be able to access your Thunderbolt hard drive from your 2008 MacBook Pro.

Go to "Network" under system preferences and choose "advanced"
On the Wi-Fi tab you can sort the sequence of the preferred connections.
Then just move your new router to the top of the list.

Thunderbolt port failure on Late 2011 Macbook Pro?

On a daily basis, I use a 1TB Seagate GoFlex external HDD that was originally a USB 3.0 interface until I bought the Thunderbolt sled (replacing the USB 3.0 interface) for things like Time Machine backups, photo management in Aperture and the like. Last night, I was on my Late 2011 15in Macbook Pro running a Time Machine backup and working in Aperture via Thunderbolt while charging the laptop when suddenly the drive was improperly ejected and the LED on the Seagate shut off as if no connection was made. I unplugged the Thunderbolt connections and tried again and the Seagate LED remained off and no drives showed up in Disk Utility. So I tried taking that Seagate and Thunderbolt cable and used it on another Mac, everything worked properly and as expected. So to further drive home the theory that maybe the Thunderbolt port on the laptop was bad, I tried using another Thunderbolt drive/cable on the Macbook Pro and sure enough, nothing happened. To me, this sounds like a bad port.
The reason for this post is that I've not yet seen anything on the interwebz regarding Thunderbolt port failures aside from a few estranged "display issues" via Thunderbolt. Has anyone else heard of this kind of thing happening? I find it a bit odd that with modern technology that tends to prevent overheating issues, this was able to happen. It almost seems like maybe a piece of solder broke off or something? Any thoughts?

Have you rebooted the system? Have you tried a SMC and PRAM reset?
If not do all three of those things.
If you still have a problem hopefully you have Applecare as if you don't the fix will be expensive. You will need to have the logic board changed to fix a bad, broken, TB port.

Every time I try to change my picture on iMessage it only changes until I close out of it and then it reverts back to the default.
So I know I go to Message --> Change My Picture --> Defaults --> Done

You have Thunderbolt or Mini DisplayPort. If you know which external display you want or you already have it, look at the ports it has got and get a Mini DisplayPort adapter for it. There are Mini DisplayPort adapters for DVI, VGA and HDMI.

My daughter just got a Macbook Pro and had filled in the registration info with her name and address but my other daughter told her it had to me my name and changed it all and registered it under my name. Did Apple changed the Expose & Dashboard keys in the MacBook Pro?

The new MacBook Air came with two new keys, mission control and launchpad. Did Apple changed the keys in the MacBook Pro they are selling or are they selling them with no change, because since now the dashboard is in a different place the key is useless.

No they did not, but I fell like they should replace the icons on F3 and F4 since they are so much easier to get to using gestures.

I do not know anything about audio consoles nor do I have an iPhone.
My iPod also does not show on the desktop but it is recognized in iTunes, Check if that is the case for your MBP.
Do you have the appropriate boxes checked in Finder Preferences?

If you have an external HDD, connect it to your MBP and see if it is recognized. If it does not show on the desktop, check Disk Utility.
Have you tried all USB ports? It could be that the problem lies in your MBP.

Photoshop CC Mac - Changer l'opacité par les chiffres sur Macbook Pro Retina.

récent propriétaire d'un Macbook Pro Retina (version française AZERTY), je ne peux trouver un moyen de changer l'opacité en entrant les chiffres, comme 1 pour 10% ou 8 pour 80%.
Je pense que le problème vient du fait que je n'ai pas de pavé numérique.
Par exemple, sur l'outil pinceau, si j'entre 1 (en appuyant sur Shift + &), je change le flow à 10% et ainsi de suite, mais je n'ai pas trouvé un raccourci pour changer l'opacité.
Sur l'outil de déplacement, si j'entre 1 (en appuyant sur Shift + &), l'opacité du calque actif ne change pas.
Dois-je acheter un pavé numérique additionnel ?

Bon, je pense avoir trouver une application incroyable qui résoud le problème, à la condition d'avoir un iPhone.
L'application se nomme Numberkey, gratuite sur App Store iPhone.
Il faut ensuite télécharger le logiciel Numberkey Connect, trouvable ici : http://numberkey.softpedia.com
Ainsi la connection se fait via le wifi.
Et ca marche !
Je peux désormais contrôler de mon iPhone, l'opacité et le flow de mes calques et de mes brushes !!
Je n'en reviens toujours pas... en croisant tout de même les doigts que cela ne fera point planter Photoshop.
