Queries are freezing in IR Web client

When BQYs are opened with IR Web client, and queried, it gets stuck at 'Retreiving Rows'. Pressing Alt+ End doesn't make it stop, it just gets stuck, so the entire browser needs to be closed.
After restarting EPM services, it works fine. But we can't risk this happening again and again.
Could someone please help me out on this?

I would suggest to open an SR with Oracle support.Might be there is problem with the query itself or may be the DAS process is running out of memory.A better analysis could you provided if you open an SR with Oracle support and provide the logs.
Thx

"Ad hoc reports showing in web browser but not showing in BeX, if added to BeX then appearing twice on web browser"
Edited by: RAMABHOTLA SHANKER on May 21, 2009 2:09 PM

    Hi,
There is no difference in queries elements between BEx and Web Browser, the adhoc queries/analysis/variants you create in web analyser doesn't get save back to BI server; its saving only in EP server.
Where as if you save any query view in BEx analyzer can also be viewed in Web analyzer, thats the reason you are able to see both of them. But actually meta data for both the query views are different.
    Hope it clarifies.

    Surya.

  • Customer exit text variables form BW queries are not supported in Webi

    HI,
so I need to  need to modify the headings manually in Web Intelligence.
Please help me I'm looking for a formular that give me the following result:
    I'm using the next formular:
    =UserResponse([L01 Calendar/month];"CalendarMonth")
    The result is JUN2010.
Now I want to change this result with a formular in Jun2009 (12 months ago)
Can anyone help me how to build this formular?
    thanks Peter
Edited by: P. Teussink on Oct 12, 2010 4:51 PM

The question really is, what are you trying to achieve?
If you only want to arrive at the string "Jun2009" based on the string "JUN2010"
    you can do this like this;
    =InitCap(Left(UserResponse("Calender Month");3))+FormatNumber(ToNumber(Right(UserResponse("Calender Month");4)-1);"0")
Also if you have all month of last year in the report you can use a where logic based on the same principle to only show what the label says.
However if you want to select this calendar month based on the month inputted by the user, then you will have to create a BEX variable that uses the user exit coding of the input ready calender month to select that month one year ago, like stated above.
    Good luck,
    Marianne

  • BI Services in WEBI client

I'm trying to use BI services so I can use my webi client queries in Xcelsius.  In WEBI client when I on "show BI Services", the component browser pops out and it sits on "refreshing, please wait"  When I click on Manage Servers I'm not able to see any servers or add a server.  I'm using the Business Objects Edge trial edition.  Does anyone know what's going on?  Thanks.
    Brian

Are you using a reverse proxy?  If so you may need to do this:
    Resolution
    1) Select Manage servers
    2) Select Add in the Manage Web Services Hosts dialog
    3) Host name: enter the hostname of the reverse proxy
    4) In the URL: change the port to match the port of the reverse proxy
    5) Select the new server you defined in the Host server dialog
    6) Click refresh in the Web Service Publisher dialog (you may need to first select the Refreshing, please wait... text)
Also, if that's not the case, check if you have a firewall or networking problem between the two machines.
Finally, if you are still having the problem, enable access logging on your Java Web Application Server and see if you are getting 500 errors.  If so, you may need to redeploy the dswsbobje web application.
    Thanks,

  • Creation of Tech Master data with CRM IC Web Client

    Hi Experts,
I have a query regarding creation of Technical master data via CRM IC Web client ( CRM7.0 & ECC6 for ISU)
    1) If we are using CRM IC web Client then , how the creation of Technical Master Data is triggered from web client ?
    2) Where the technical master data created first ISU or CRM ?
If anyone has the info on this please let me know.
    regards,
    Sagar

    Hi Sagar Arvind Phirke,
    1) You need to configure CRM Middleware to exchange data between CRM and IS-U;
    2) Data is created first in CRM, then it's replicated to IS-U.
    Check this helpful documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/46/66235fc77c453a8696f76c66e8014c/frameset.htm

  • [E2013][EWS][Windows] retreive outlook userproperties in web client.

    Hi,
We've built an outlook plugin that requires setting user properties to associate client & custom information with a particular mailItem. Currently we are creating an email web client and want to transfer and access those user properties on the web client.
Are these properties bundled into the message header or stored on exchange and retrieved through a saved key. How can I access these properties, on another mail server, do I have to transfer these to MAPI fields?
    Thanks,
    Milton C.
    Milton Cody

You can access any user properties you create in your Outlook plugin in EWS using the Extended property interfaces see
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn467898%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx . The only thing you can't do with EWS is read or write the userproperty definition blob (which just means you can't enumerate what properties a user has created). That should
really be issue however all you need to do is use a MAPI editor like MFCMapi or Outlook Spy to look at an existing item where the properties have set you should then be able to use them like
    ExtendedPropertyDefinition UserProperty = new ExtendedPropertyDefinition(DefaultExtendedPropertySet.PublicStrings, "MyCustomProperty", MapiPropertyType.String);
    Cheers

  • Systems are not available in the NWDS but in the Web-client

I'm at presnt using the VC 7.11 in the web client. For enlarging the default components by a couple of own one I'm trying to use VC in the NWDS. Now I'm facing the problem that the default systems (Busniess Objects, Portal Content, Portlet Applications, Services Registry, Visual Composer Model, Web Dynpro Application, Web Dynpro Component) are shown in the "Search" panel but not those which I have created e.g. our ERP system.
I have no clou what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Ok, it seems I was finally able to answer my questions by my own. For a System in the NWDS you have to create the system once again under Window > Preferences > Destination Configurations > R/3 Configuration ([https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102007?treeid=DOC-99669|https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-102007?treeid=DOC-99669])

    Hi All,
I am unable to log in to the IC Web client in CRM 2007. I get the logon screen when I go to
    http://<host>.<domain>.<port#>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_ui_frame/default.htm?
but when I enter my CRM user id and password it does not log me in. I can log in to CRM SAP Gui without any issue.
I have activated all the necessary services in SICF.
is there anything i'm missing out please advice?
    thanks,

    Hello Mike,
You mention that after you enter your CRM user id and password the system does not log you in. Do you encounter some kind of error message? Do you just see a blank screen? Perhaps you can describe in more detail what exactly happens.
If you are experiencing a blank screen, there are quite a few SAP notes (and quite a few other threads -- in both this IC forum and the new CRM 2007 forum which address this topic). For example, please check:
    - SAP note 1144511, Blank screen when starting CRM WebClient or IC WebClient
    - SAP note 741939, Blank screen or timeout starting IC WebClient
    - SAP note 805806, IC WebClient freezes at startup

  • Not able to access the Oracle I/PM web client.

I have started the Administration server and the Oracle I/PM Managed Server. Now I'm trying to access the Oracle I/PM web client at this URL: http://hostname:16000/imaging. But when I hit this URL, the following error comes up:
    Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.5 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

    Hi Srinath,
I have checked that as well, it is showing the IPM_server in running mode.
Also it doesn't show any deployment failure in the command line. Here is what it shows:

  • Long time to start Java Web Client (Analyzer 6.2.1)??

Does anyone know why Analyzer(6.2.1) takes a long time to start Java Web Client. Sometime it's even take more than 5 minutes. I think it is the Java Plug-in starting on the client computer. Any solution?

The key to Analyzer 6.2.1 running correctly is the version of Sun Java Plugin. The ideal version (most optimal) is 1.3.0_02.Secondary to this if Analyzer performs OK once you are logged in then it could be down to the speed of your connection. The applet compiles at runtime (unlike Analyzer 5 which was a one time download). The delay in getting to the login screen could be this download.Hope this helps.Paul ArmitageAnalitica Ltd.www.analitica.co.uk

Delete localstore.rdf or rename the file to localstore.rdf.sav in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to test if the file is corrupted.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf
(caution: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)
    Note:
Deleting the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] will reset the customizations of the toolbars to the defaults.
You can rename "localstore.rdf" to "localstore.rdf.sav" to test if that solves it.
Then you can restore the customization by copying "localstore.rdf.sav" to "localstore.rdf" if it didn't work.
