- in MOUNT state the controlfile is read, and now the instance is aware of the database structure. Looking for devices that can perform straight forward I/Q demodulation process
Hi guys,
I am looking for a high speed NI board that can perform the quadrature demodulation (for a 20 MHz signal), I have looked through the web but so far I can only find 5620, 5660 and 5142.
cos(wt) ----> Device under Test (DUT) -----> Acos(wt + theta)
cos(wt) is the original tranmitting signal (20 MHz). After it is passed through the DUT, amplitude change (A) and phase shift (theta) is then introduced into the output signal (the frequency still remains the same.) The purpose of this setup is to measure the amplitude change and phase shift, relative to the original signal.
Thus I need a simple I/Q demodulation board that can perform this job. Is there any NI board that one can recommend? Or is there a board that can generate the driving signal and do the IQ domodulation at the same time? I think 5620, 5660 and 5142 can only perform I/Q demodulation process...

SP 2013 - Error: This operation can be performed only on a computer that is joined to a server farm
Hello Community!
I am working with SharePoint 2013 and I built a farm inside the firewall. Then a decision was made to move the two WFE's to the DMZ. Since that time, whenever I try to access the site collections, I get the error below. Other information: All
the web applications are on port 80, but I'm not having any problem with accessing Central Administration which is on port 8080; the network team did screw up the DNS originally, but I'm told it's correct now; the two WFE's servers show in my Manage servers
on the Farm interface 2X, once with the server name, once with the fully Qualified Domain Name, the ones with the FQDN shows a Services Running status of Not Configured.
Has anyone else ever seen this error and if so please provide guidance and instruction for fixing the error.

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you moved your SharePoint.
This error occurs when the SharePoint farm administrator cannot connect to your configuration database. Please verify the followings:
Make sure that from the SharePoint front end and application servers that you can ping your SQL server.
Make sure that your Farm account has permission to the configuration database.
Lastly verify that your database didn't for some reasons go into recovery mode.
once everything is fine and you are still having issues, restart the SQL host service on the SQL server. Once the service is restarted you will need to reboot Central Admin and then your front end servers.
In addition, as you built your farm inside the firewall, please disable the firwall, or create rules for SQL Server service in the firwall on SQL server. More information about creating rules in firewall, please refer to the following posts:

I think below line is causing the error -

can you put that line within a try catch and see that causes an exception. If so, you might try as below-
SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges(delegate()
webAppBuilder = new SPWebApplicationBuilder(CurrentFarm);

I can not perform software updates or download any programs. They appear in the download box as images that are "not recognized". I thought maybe my antivirus software was setting up a firewall, but I have disabled it, so that's not the case. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
If the downloads are gone, it's possible that Windows is removing the downloads based on security policies set in IE. I realize that sounds strange, but it's related to Firefox's feature of submitting downloads to your virus scanner and marking them as having come from the internet.
To test this theory, you could try disabling the scan feature. I assume you have good "real time" antivirus protection which checks every file saved to your hard drive. (If not, you really should get that, and you can use Microsoft's free [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials Microsoft Security Essentials] for now until you have time to review all the available choices.)
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the filter box, type or paste '''scan''' and pause while the list is filtered

Please ask your client to clear Contribute preference once and try the same scenario.
Here are the steps how to clear the Contribute Preferences:
For Mac, Contribute CS5
1) Quit Contribute.
2) (a) Go to "user/Library/Preferences" and delete the file "Adobe Contribute 6 Preferences".
(b) Go to "user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/" remove "Contribute CS5".
For Mac, Contribute CS4
1) Quit Contribute.
2) (a) Go to "user/Library/Preferences" and delete the file "Adobe Contribute 5 Preferences".
(b) Go to "user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/" remove "Contribute CS4".
If you use CS3, then delete "Adobe Contribute 4.1 Preferences" and "Contribute CS3" folder.
For Win, Contribute CS5
1) Quit Contribute.
2) From Command prompt run the below two commands to remove the preferences
a) reg delete "HKCU\Software\Adobe\Contribute 6" /f

I can open Central Administration site just fine.
but now when I open any Site collection, I got this error.

I have restarted all the servers: SQL server, WFE and APP servers but still cann't get this resolve.
Services on all servers are running, IIS - application pools are running.
Can someone help with where that could be a problem or if there is a solution.

Admin account can't perform some operations, that another admin account can
This is a little complicated to explain:
A friend of mine wanted to have 2 accounts on his brand new MacBook Pro 15" unibody (Mac OS X 10.5.6). I have set up them for him (let's call them account A and account B, at his request both with admin features) and installed some utilities (e.g. Perian, Flip4Mac, MPlayer, Skype etc...), all these in A. But he started to use B and already performed all the settings from his old computer (hours of work to set up everything) and he said, that the A account he wants just for seldom usage. I haven't seen any problem in this account priority switching, because I thought, that since they are both admin accounts, it doesn't matter. I was very wrong though:
- all the applications, installed in A account always show before launching the warning, that the app was downloaded from the internet - normally you see it just once, but here it shows up always. Very annoying.
- the worst part is that some operations always fail in B account, but perform normally in A account - Exporting movies in QT crashes in B, works in A
- Setting up PDF preferences in InDesign works in A, doesn't work in B (it sees Acrobat settings, but doesn't allow to work with them). Interesting part is, that InDesign was already installed in B account but works perfect only in A...
First step what I did in effort to fix this issue was repairing permissions (boot from installation disk, no good), then I erased the B account and performed repairing permissions again, but again still the same.
Is there any way how to force system to treat the B account (now the only account at the computer) as fully valid admin account, that can perform all the operations, that were able in A account?
I really wouldn't like to go back and start from scratch.It looks like it's just a seriously corrupt account.
Make a new one, and see if it all works there.
We could probably track down the cause, but it would take a LONG time, and it would probably just be quicker to make a new account and transfer files, emails, etc. -

I encourage you to read that help document to get the full information, but basically it's saying that you're trying to combine two datasources and Power Query doesn't know the relative privacy level of each source. We need that info so we can make sure
that we don't leak private data out to the world.
The error message suggests that you build the query from scratch. When you do that, you'll get prompted for the privacy levels of each source and you won't have this problem. If you want to reuse this query without rebuilding it and you're absolutely sure
that none of the data involved is private, you can disable the privacy firewall by clicking the Fast Combine button. That's located in the Power Query ribbon in Excel in the Workbook Settings group. (Sorry I don't know what that is called in Japanese.) -

Can I "hide" form queries that the respondent did not answer?
In the e-mail summary recap and the PDF report that is generated after each submission I get a print out/report listing all fields (70+) despite the fact that the user only has to answer/complete approximately 20 fields to complete the form. In other words, I only want to see what the user actually responded to/selected, not ALL of the possible selections. Please help - this problem is causing us to have to print out a 48 page report for every response (as opposed to the 2-3 page report that it should be).
We currently do not support this. You can use the "Create an idea" action to submit a feature request that can be voted on by other FormsCentral users.

Time Machine Has Never Performed a Full Backup that Can Be Restored From
I've been backing up my system via time machine to a time capsule. I'm using the same time capsule for both my mac and my wife's. My wife's mac is backing up fine with numerous full backups that can be restored from. However, when I recently booted into recovery mode, I discovered there were no full backups of my mac that I could restore from. I've been using this time capsule for about a year now so I'm concerned as to why there are no full backups. I can enter time machine and see my docs and files...just no full backups. Thanks for your help.
There was a bug in Mountain Lion that caused TM to fail to backup system files.

Honestly if you want a reliable full backup get CCC or other clone type backup and do a disk image to a USB drive that you can then test boot from. Then use TM for incrementals..
