Query about data source 0fc_bp_items

Hi,
I have a requirement in which i have to show the open items, module is FI-CA, i have zerored in on two datasource 0FC_BP_ITEMS and 0FC_OP_01. Our logic is such that we have to extract the data from DFKKOP and DFKKOPW (contains the data about breakdown ).
Kindly tell me which datasource will satisfy my requirement best or i have to go for Z develpoment.

Hi,
I have a SharePoint 2013 form library library with an info-path form. I need to get the logged in user's 'Display Name' on my form load automatically.
I used REST service to fetch the current user details. In the preview mode of the form, its showing the right name. But when I publish this form to library I am getting the following error.
REST Service --> http://site url/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetMyProperties
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that an error occurred querying a data source with REST services.
It is defiantly permission issue with GetUserProfileByName service
and could be many reasons of this problem. You first try with UDCX file and make sure that UPS is running.

Error occurred querying a data source in office 365.

I have created a simple infopath form and in one of my dropdown box i am receiving the REST services.
when i run the infopath form 2013 in preview it was running good but when i upload it on to office 365 cloud it's showing me error. i had converted the services into UDL and save it on Data connection Library and it's approved.

According to your post, my understanding is that you got error when querying a data source in office 365.
Per my knowleadge, we cannot connect to SharePoint Web Services from InfoPath Forms within SharePoint Online.
Loopback protection is enabled on the SharePoint Online environment and will block calls to SOAP and REST from InfoPath Form Services.
For more information, you can refer to:

As a workaround, to look up data for some dropdowns from several external REST Web Services, we need to have a Data Connection library in your Site Collection in which to store the UDCX files.
The steps seem to be:
Create a Data Connection Library in your Site Collection
In the InfoPath ribbon, go to Data, then Data Connections. Your existing data connections should be listed.
Choose the data connection which is hosted on a different domain.
Clink the
Convert to Connection File… button
In the location selector, specify the path to the Data Connection Library you created above.
Leave the
Relative to site collection (recommended) radio button selected.
Click OK

So I know its a permission issue because full control users have no problem. I have found a suggestion here suggesting making sure the group has "Who can View Membership to the Group" but that didn't work for me - and
my test user is only a member of one group -

How can I get around this without provding users Full Control?

So I fixed this with exactly what I mentioned above by adding "everyone" "Who can View Membership to the Group" permission. My error initially was that I was looking at the incorrect security group.

Query as data source for APD

Hi,
I want to extract data from a query into a transactional ODS via APD. The query is based on an InfoSet that joins 5 InfoObjects.
But in APD, I cannot select this query as data source!
Is APD not able to work with such queries?

Multiple SQL Query as Data Source

I have an SQL Query as Data Source of my Crystal Report. It combine the contents of two tables.
I want to do another SQL query based on the previuos SQL Query.
Can I do this in CR ? How I can reference the new SQL query to the main SQL query ?

Report based on custom Query - Question about Data Source

Hello,
I am trying to create Crystal reports (EBO R3.1, Oracle 11g Database, CR2008) based on custom queries. Tried using different kinds of Data Sources but getting stuck once I export them to Infoview.
1. Using Oracle Server: This method works fine on my local & Infoview. But since I have lot of reports, I do not want the DB username/password associated to the report. I neither want BO to prompt username/pwd to my user.
2. Using ODBC(RDO):
Again, works fine on my local. Once I export to Infoview, it fails with this error: "Failed to open the connection"
Which makes sense, because the DSN is created on my local machine and not on the server.
How and what do I create on the server, so that the reports run?
I do not know if using ODBC(RDO) is even the right way for creating custom SQL reports.
I have been reading about Business Views, but not clear on how good they work.
My goal is to create multiple reports, using custom SQL queries which use some kind of connection to the database that can be managed on the
server in one place, and used by multiple reports.
Can any of you please help me here

Thanks for moving it to the right forum!!
But, if I setup in CMC, a default username/password that the report needs....what would happen if my password changes?
I would need to go to each and every report and update the password.
I am looking for using one common "connection" for multiple reports. So that, when passwords change, all I update is in one central location.
Can anyone please help!

Report Query - XML data source empty

Hello!
I built a report query, using the wizard, under Shared Components and when I test the query using bind variables I get the correct data, but as I click Apply Changes and get to the screen where it gives me the option to Download the data source for the report layout, the file is empty. I've repeated the steps multiple times, each time getting correct data when testing the query, yet nothing in my xml file.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

I actually am having problems on the "Report Queries" section under "Shared Components"...my query doesn't return any data when I try to download/open the xml file. Once I'm able to get this fixed, I'll be able to open my report on the page that has the branch.

PC 10.0 - Error in Ad-Hoc query in Data Source

Hi,
We are facing an error when running an Ad Hoc query in the Data Source. We have built a DS to monitor the job log table TBTCO and was running the query to check if data is getting fetched correctly. But the query does not return any data and shows the message "Table does not contain visible columns". Is this an issue with the configuration of the SAP table or is the error on the PC side?

Hi Naveen,
The connectors are setup and we are able to monitor other tables but not this particular table TBTCO.
We have already added the table and the required fields into the Data Source. We are getting this error when running the query after that.
Is this because of the Delivery Class L of the table TBTCO?

I have one data source 0CUST_SALES_ATTR which is work on KNVV table.
I see data in KNVV table.
But i can't see data in data source via rsa3 in MP1
But data comes from data source at BW side.
So please help me.

Have you made any changes to this datasource?
Is it certain fields that are not showing in RSA3?
If so, please specify their names
Yet, you are getting all the expected data into BW?
Please be aware that field KNVV-BOIDT does not have change documents (DDIC def.
for associated data elements) and so no change pointers.
Without change pointers it will not trigger the delta at the end.
Please check if the following note re Customizing can help:

If the above does not help, then please check the associated logs, dumps, etc for any unusual messages or errors

Query about Data Model Design, UPDATED_ON

hi on a *.ppt called ODTUG2007_Advanced_APEX.ppt, that i found on google <www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/ppt/ODTUG2007_Advanced_APEX.ppt>, i found a something that might be very interesting in using in my APEX app... it said something about some Standard Columns, and "phrases" (created_by, created_on, updated_by, updated_on) that i would like to see and learn how to implement.
So i do appreciate if anyone has got an example, or can explain them to me...

There's another way to do that might work for you:
1. Create the fields updated_by and updated_on in the table;
2. Create in the page the items PX_UPDATED_BY and PX_UPDATED_ON of type "Text field (saves state)";
3. Go to the properties of the item.

- Source Value or expression: updated_by
- Post Calculation Computation: :APP_USER
Default:
- Default value: &APP_USER.
PX_UPDATED_ON

- Source Type: Database column;

When the user submits the changes, the table fields are updated.

Query about data fetched by MB51 report

Hi Gurus,
I am raising this discussion for better understanding about this issue.
I deliberately created a material doc. in MIGO with 311 mov.type, on today's date. Keeping the destination and supplying storage location same.
It shows a warning message M7104. that both s.locs are same and creates a doc after accepting the message.
The doc. in created as I can see in mb03 and in MSEG table but MB51 does not list this doc.
I am using MB51 , giving material, posting dates(today +/- 30 days), It does not list the material doc.
Can anyone suggest a note for this? OR explain what MB51 checks in the tables to fetch and filter material doc.
I ensure, I am using correct parameters in MB51.

MB51 reads the table MKPF and MSEG, if you selection criteria does match with these table entries, then you can see the entry in MB51 list.
Please post the screen shot of material document number from MIGO and post the screen shot of selection criteria of MB51.

If you want to get the data in a smaller intervals from the source then we will be go for this option, i.e, the data which is available in the source system till last minute will be available in the BI system for analysis purpose..

Query multiple data sources via keys (federated query)

I have a requirement to fetch data from two different databases, one financial and one operational, to make compound measure (a ratio). I need to fetch a value for the number of calls answered in a call centre from one database (we'll call this "CustomerCare" and the measure "CallsAnswered") I have a good degree of control over this system as it sits in my department so I can add foreign keys into the live tables or add mapping tables, etc. The other measure I need is the wage bill for the same period which comes from a finance database (we'll call this "FinanceMart" and the measure "WageBill").
My problem is that we run this for several joint venture companies and the query needs to take that into account allowing each JV to see only their data. To date all of my tests with OBIEE would issue the following query to both databases...
SELECT Date,CallsAnswered,WageBill FROM <DATABASE> WHERE JointVenture = "JV Motors"
... but that only works if the joint ventures are named the same in both systems and they are not. I need to report by the names in my CustomerCare database (they are familiar to the business) so the only thing I can think to do is to put mapping details (either keys or text values) into my tables and have OBIEE join on those. When I tried this OBIEE failed to issue a query against the FinanceMart as soon as I introduced the JointVenture field but otherwise it works fine when I use either the mapping field or when I use just date.
If anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Both schemas are definitely stars, this example is a slimmed-down version of the real environment (I have many more measures and dimensions) but I only need the one measure from the FinanceMart.
As an example the CustomerCare DB has the following JVs: Star Autos, Fulton Honda, Mortlake Scooters. In the FinanceMart the same three would read: Automotive Sales (UK) Ltd, Jack Fulton & Son Ltd, Peter Evans Motor Company Ltd.
That's why I need some kind of mapping, I just need to know how to configure OBIEE to join on one column but allow you to report by another.

How to avoid duplicate? --> Dont load same data twice..If delta is supported by the datasource then do a psuedo delta, or delete pervious request with same selections when you do a full load...
Plz elaborate on your question..
