Query about slamd config and load test dsee7?

Hey Guys
I am configuring slamd on a VM to do some load testing on DSEE
Now i edited the slamd_client.conf and edited
AUTO_CREATE_CLIENTS=5
MAX_CLIENTS=5
But the clients still show as 1 on http://127.0.0.1:8080/slamd
I know i had got this to work somehow previously (get multiple clients)
Anyone knows what I am missing??
Also alternate , anyone knows any free load testing tools which are easy and good as slamd??

Thanks
This is what I forgot.. I did run it once and gave me what I wanted..
so basically i start
1) slamd/bin/startup.sh
and
2) slamd/slamd_client/start_client_manager.sh
And ready to go!! and slam DSEE :)
missing anything else??

  • Performance and Load testing for Agentry applications in SMP2.3

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement to carry out the Performance and Load testing for our SAP Work Manager application (SMP2.3).
Please guide me if ATE (Agentry Test environment) /  Jmeter / or any other testing tool can be utilized for the same.
Would be great if you could provide me the steps / references for the same.
    Thanks,

    Hi Abhishek,
Please refer this document Agentry - Assets for Admins & Architects. It has very good content which explains about performance testing and performance tuning.

  • BI stress and load testing

    Hi all,
I am looking for Scenarios in BW/BI related to stress and load testing, does anyone worked on this area? I am looking for a scenario and what are the 3 rd party tools required for this?
any documents ..plz help me ..its urgent
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Not too sure if Mercury LoadRunner is the solution you're looking for.
    www.mercury.com/us/products/performance-center/loadrunner/
    http://www.sap.com/usa/solutions/solutionextensions/pdf/BWP_LoadRunner.pdf
I think one of the solution is to check with your SAP accounts manager and ask if he/she has solution to offer.  The last time we did a stress test (2 years ago) was to co-ordinate groups of users to refresh multiple massive queries...
    Hope this helps.

  • Stress and load testing

    Hi all,
How do you do the stress and load testing on queries( WAD) in BW, does mercury loadrunner supports this?  I am little bit confused with the portal and BW, where i hv to do stress and load testing of Web queries( i views)? plz help me

Stress and Load testing are the different types of testing used to test the Application in Development by increasing the loads on the application in order to test the applications behavior as to how it would react with the increased loads. Example in testing a website we constantly increase the number of users accessing that website at the same time in order to check how much of response time is the web page taking to show up on the screen, how is the back end of the website working and at a time how many users can log on before the website crashes.
Let me know if this is of any help  and assign points if helpful. Sorry for the delayed reply.
    Thanks,

  • CDN - Request Limits and Load Testing

I need to choose a CDN service to deliver static content for an ASP.NET web application. The content is mostly videos, flash files and images.
    1. Does the Azure CDN have an explicit or implicit throughput limit in terms of Requests per Second or Megabits per Second? (e.g. AWS CloudFront has a published default limit of 1000Mbps, which can be increased on request)
    2. I have a requirement to load test the ASP.NET web application which links the static content from CDN. Is there any threshold number of concurrent requests for videos (~10 MB size, 500Kbps bit rate) that the Azure CDN would allow to be tested through
lets say Visual Studio Online load testing service?
    Thanks.

  • Query about User Variables and Advanced Actions

    Hello,
I am creating a clinical-based project using Captivate 5.I have to give you quite a bit of information before I can pose my questions so please bear with me.
Users have to select multiple options from a checkbox widget (shown below).
Each options, for example 'location' is associated with a variable for example 'hpi0' (See below):
Each option has addtional data associated with it:
    Location = hpi0 (user variable)
Location data = hpi0data (user variable)
    Please see the screenshot below:
Notice in the image above that I have created a conditional advanced action - if the user selects Location (hpi0) on the checkbox widget, the data associated with that variable will be presented to them. That data (e.g. location data or hpi0data) is presented in a caption text box in the following slide. (see below)
I hope I have given you enough information. This is a complex project and this is just one of my many problems.I have had to create over 200 hundred user variables and more than 6 Conditional Advanced Actions in one project. The project is becoming unstable. So here are my queries:
    1) Are there limits to the amount of user varables I can create in a project?
    2) If so, how can I re-use the user variables I have already created? Otherwise I will have to divide this project into 3 parts and I want to avoid doing that.
    3) Are there limits to the amount of Advanced actions I can create in a project?
Again  I am using Captivate 5 for this project.
Any assistance, tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I am learning captivate as I go so If there is away to streamline this process, I am open to any suggestions.
    Thanks
    Tinukwa

    Hello Tinukwa
This is indeed a challenging project, and although I did create a lot of projects with advanced actions, they were never that size. You have to listen to Jim's words about using some widgets, he is a widget specialist which I'm not. I do not know if you are aware of the fact that the checkboxes widget coming with Cp was extended by Jim? He offers it on his website, I blogged about this extension and suppose you do know my blog. About the advanced actions, perhaps I could help but only screenshots are bit limited. So I wonder if either I could have access to the file and/or if we could have a Connect session eventually?
    First intuition tells me
we should look to re-use variables, but I do need more information; do you need the vars XXXXdata somewhere else later? If not, perhaps only to display it you could use one variable; now you keep the information chosen by the user in 2 variables: hpi0 and hpi0data (isn't that redundancy?)
and by choosing labels for variables, actions and objects in an intelligent way reduce the editing time because you'll need a lot of almost identical advanced actions. Usually I do a lot of reflection before starting to create labels, variables and actions.
About re-using what you already constructed: as I explained once, a template is the only way to be able to re-use a script at the moment. And Kevin Siegel discovered (so gratefully for that) it is possible just to change the extension of a standard CP file to cptl to have a template.
    Lilybiri
PS Jim suggest also to split up the project? Here I'm not sure if that is really needed.. should have been the case for previous versions.

  • Query about jsp2.0 and jstl1.2

    Hello all,
I am Raja Sekhar, I have one appliation running on weblogic9.2 and now migrated to 10.3. In earlier version we used struts-el tags and jstl1.1, in some of our jsps we have code like this :
    *<html-el:submit property="test" value="Configure" tabindex="1" disabled="${isReadOnly}" />*
But when we migrate , I was getting error at ${isReadOnly}, stating, setDisable(boolean) is not applicable for string values.
After some research , I changed the c.tld file version from 1.1 to 1.2 and removed "$" symbol from the tag, as follows:
    *<html-el:submit property="test" value="Configure" tabindex="1" disabled="{isReadOnly}" />*
Now its working fine. But just wanted to know the reason for this.
Can some one please help me in this.
    thanks in advance
    Raja Sekhar chintapalli

Is it really working fine? really? Does it come up disabled when it is meant to be? Where is the value "isReadOnly" meant to come from?
The struts-el libraries are only intended for use in JSP1.2 applications where EL is not understood implicitly by the container.
It let you use EL expressions with the struts tags.
With the advent of JSP2.0 they became irrelevant as the container interpreted ${expr} the same as <%= expr %> and so you could use the standard struts tags.
    My advice
Use JSTL1.1, JSP2.0 and the standard struts tags - not struts-el.
Make sure your web.xml file is updated to 2.4 - not declaring a 2.3 DTD.

  • Query about perishable item and serial number entry in RMS

    hi ,
can some one help me to explore the below mentioned option RMS
    1. how can we mark an item as an perishable item in rms
    2. where to enter the serial number for an item in RMS.
    regards,
    deepak

    hi erik,
yeah you are right its an unique number which is assigned to the product by the supplier which is not an barcode or PLU. when i tried to find the same i found vpn and LOV like upc , isbn and oracle retail number etc while i am in the process of creating an item.
i would like to know after we create an oracle retail number or the retailer's own sku number if we want to add multiple ean code and unique serial code how can we execute the same in RMS.
eg 1: a brand of a shampoo will have its common sku number but at the same time it can have multiple ean code/bar codes.
eg 2: mobile phones with common sku number can have IMEI and other codes .
    regards,

  • A query about SOA Design and development

    Hi
Why everybody these days are interested in SOA ??
The question i mean to ask is from a Service User Perspective , arent we coding our Application forcefully in the idea of making use of Other Software ??
    Isn't this is a draw back ?
(I am asking in the context of a The service consumer making use of a service provider .)

    Hi,
SE01 is the main screen of the Change and transport Organizer. From here the administrator can acheive all tasks related to transport requests - such as create, change, view logs, display client/delivery transports, etc. SE09 and SE10 can also be accessed from here. However, not all developers might be granted access to this transaction.
SE09 is the workbench transport requests transaction - here the developers can track changes to all ABAP workbench objects (dictionary, reports, module pools, etc). This is a developer-specific transaction and mostly all developers have access to this transaction.
SE10 is the customizing request display transaction - this displays all the customizing requests in the system. Again, this could be restricted to Business analysts if required, since they would be doing most of the customizing changes in the system.

  • Query about education version and if can have on laptop and desktop

We are thinking of getting CS4 Master Collection for my son.  Does anyone know if it is allowed for my son to have his CS4 programmes on his laptop and on his desktop as he uses one in class and the other in his room?

Academic versions can be installed on two computers. Student versions can be installed on only one computer.
Perhaps I should say activated rather than installed. You can install on 1 milliion computers, but activate on a limited number of computers.

  • Query about tag extensions and custom tags

    Hello,
Can u please clarify me where are these tag extensions and custom tags are actually used. (in which conditions)
What are the advantages in using them...
    thanks in advance..
    Jaagy.

You have to remember that .tag are, in a way, jsp pages, so you can use other custom tags, etc.
We use them when we need template that are mostly html, with a little bit of logic in them that we want to reuse.
For example, we made one for or header and footer. In header.tag, we set all of our http info, from doctype to body, including default css, title, etc if they are not supplied as parameter, and in our footer we put the /body and /html tags. Now, our typical pages look like
    <%@ taglib tagdir="/WEB-INF/tags" prefix="custom" %>
    <custom:header title="Page title" />
    ... page content
<custom:footer />Now, if we want to change some attribute for the whole page, or to put a signature in each page, we just have to change the corresponding .tag file and the whole site is update.
Also, .tag file can be used to display selectively page fragment.
Take a look at Sun's tutorial for more info:

    Hope this helps!

  • Last query about Internet Explorer and Labview

    Hi there!
Ok, I've managed to open URL in Internet Explorer from within LabView
(thanks Dennis Knutson), but is there any way to include IE browser in
a labview container to make it part of a project, without using
    ActiveX (coz compatibility troubles) ???
    thanks a lot!!!
    Mesca

    Mesca,
Yes, but it is the long hard way. You can use the System Exec.vi to launch IE from the command line. If you give it a URL as a parameter on the command line (iexplore.exe http://www.ni.com), then IE will open that page. The downside to this is that this is all you can do. Once you launch the browser, it is a separate program that you have no hooks into. You would have to launch a new browser window for each page you want to launch.

  • Lenovo Yoga 2 13, Kali Linux 1.0.7, Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 8.1 install, config, and wifi fix.

Lenovo Yoga 2 13, Kali Linux 1.0.7, Ubuntu 14.04, Windows 8.1 install, config, and wifi fix.
I wanted to share an experience with everyone I hope will help others avoid what I have gone through the past 3 days. I bought a Yoga 11s that I loved but had some issues with the wireless, Lenovo being awesome replaced it with a Yoga 2 13. I love this laptop but ran into some issues with Linux install/wireless, which I wanted to show how to resolve in one place. Hopefully this will help someone else get through this quicker
I am going to try and write this for someone with little Linux experience, if I miss the mark please let me know and I will clarify the best I can.
For work I need Windows 8.1 and Kali Linux, while for home I prefer Ubuntu.
    My Yoga 2 13:
    I5 1.6 ghz
    8 GB ram
    256 GB SSD
    ORANGE!
    My requirements:
    I need Windows
I need Kali Linux (livecd, even with persistent mode was not an option as it would not save the wireless fix or system updates) – I would also like this on a USB drive and not the internal SSD
    I would like Ubuntu
    Needed to do this:
    1. 2 USB thumb drives (at least 8gb in size each) I used 2 Leef Supra 32GB drives. They are my favorite right now and are only about $27 at amazon.
    2. Phone that can USB Tether or a USB Ethernet card (External USB wireless will show as "Hardware Locked"). Again you can pick one up for sub $10 if you need the USB Ethernet route. I used my Galaxy S5, you will need to download 200-300 mb of items through this so make sure you have the data if you go that route.
    3. You may be able to get a USB wifi card to work if you do the following after boot. This only worked once for me.
                    a.Type ‘sudo rmmod iwlmvm’
    b.Type ‘sudo rmmod iwlwifi’
    4. ISOs of Ubuntu and Kali Linux (I used Ubuntu 14.04 and Kali Linux 1.0.7)
    5. Software to unzip the ISOs. I recommend 7-ZIP and will be referencing this in this guide.
    6. I will include the EFI boot files and the WiFi fix files if I can attach. Otherwise I will provide a link to them.
       Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
Recommended (these are just in case you corrupt something making your system not see any OS
    1.  I would call Lenovo beforehand and get a set of recover disks (this will take 2-3 days)
    2. In the meantime a USB Windows 8.1 or 8 ISO (the repair feature may save you)
*Note: At many points in this guide I detail steps and commands. Please double check that you understand the step before proceeding. There are multiple points where a mistyped command or clicking the wrong option will cause your entire system to fail and you will need to reformat the entire drive and start over. This also will make One Touch recovery not work. Proceed with caution.*
I did not need to disable ‘secure boot’ to do this, but keep in mind that you may need to.
    Steps:
First let’s go through the installs, and then we will go through grub config and wireless fix
    1. In Windows scroll to computer and right click, select manage.
    2. Go to “Disk Management”
    3. Select the main HDD (notice Lenovo puts a stupid number of partitions on here)
    a. I deleted the D: drive on here, if you do this make sure to copy the drives over to your main C: drive. You will want to run each of the installers and repair the drivers after.
    4. I used the space from the D: drive and pulled a little more creating a 50 GB partition for Ubuntu and my swap file
    a. You can also add more space by right clicking your C drive and selecting shrink
    b. Do not format the partitioned data as this will make identifying it later much easier.
    5. Open a command line
                    a. Swipe from the right of the screen and select search
                    b. Type ‘cmd’
                    c. right click and select ‘run as admin’
    6. For Ubuntu: Type ‘diskpart’ into the command line
                    a. type ‘list disk’
    i. You should see 2-3 disks depending on if you have one or both usb drives in the laptop at the time. I would suggest only doing 1 at a time so you don’t lose track.
                    b. type ‘select disk $’ (Replace the $ with the number of the drive)
    c. ***** Before proceeding make sure you have the correct drive selected or you can ruin your Windows install and Lenovo one touch recovery will not fix it since we have changed the partitions *****
    d. type ‘clean’
    e. type ‘create partition primary’
    f. type ‘active’
    g. type ‘format  fs=fat32 quick’
    h. type ‘assign’
    i. type ‘exit’
    6. For Kali Linux: Type ‘diskpart’ into the command line
                    a. type ‘list disk’
    i. You should see 2-3 disks depending on if you have one or both usb drives in the laptop at the time. I would suggest only doing 1 at a time so you don’t lose track.
                    b. type ‘select disk $’ (Replace the $ with the number of the drive)
    c. ***** Before proceeding make sure you have the correct drive selected or you can ruin your Windows install and Lenovo one touch recovery will not fix it since we have changed the partitions *****
    d. type ‘clean’
    e. type ‘create partition primary size= 3272
    f. type ‘active’
    g. type ‘format  fs=fat32 quick’
    h. type ‘assign’
    i. type ‘exit’
    j. By doing this we can maintain a portion of this drive as the install CD and still have linux install/ liveCD if we need to run it on another machine.
    7. At this point the drive is ready to have the contents of the ISO copied over.
    8. Right click the ISO and select 7-zip then ‘zip to /’ This should unzip the ISO to the location of the ISO into a folder named exactly the same as the ISO.
    9. Once this is done for Ubuntu ISO it is done
    10. Kali requires a little bit more to be ready
                    a. Kali will need some files added for EFI boot. --$--
                                   i. Thanks to: https://forums.kali.org/showthread.php?271-How-to-EFI-install-Kali-Linux
ii. EFI files are located within the wifi fix folder https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
    11. Now let’s start with Ubuntu
    Ubuntu install
    1.     Place USB drive into the laptop and press the “Lenovo boot” button next to the power button
    2.     Select ‘Boot Menu’
    3.     Select ‘EFI USB Device (Name of drive)’ Mine stated Leef Supra
    4.     Select ‘install Ubuntu’
    5.     Go through the Ubuntu install until you get to select the install drive
    6.     Once you get to the install portion it will ask you to select from one of 4 options. Select ‘Manually select partition’
    7.     Select the “Free Space” where we opened up some of the drive
    8.     You will need to create 2 partitions, I usually create the swap partition at the end of the drive
    a.     First I create the swap
                                              i.    Set at the end of the drive
ii.    Set size to 1024 mb
                                            iii.    Set type to ‘swap’
    b.     Second create the ext 4 partition
                                              i.    Set to beginning of drive
ii.    Set to remainder of the space
                                            iii.    Set type to ext4
iv.    Set mount point to /
    9.     Finish the install and boot into Ubuntu
    10.   You will notice that your wireless is ‘disabled by hardware’ This is fine for the time being and we will worry about this after the kali install. If we fix it now for some reason after installing kali we get the error again and would just need to fix it again.
    Kali Linux install
    1.     Place USB drive into the laptop and press the “Lenovo boot” button next to the power button
    2.     Select ‘Boot Menu’
    3.     Select ‘EFI USB Device (Name of drive)’ Mine stated Leef Supra
    4.     From the grub menu select ‘install kali linux’ both graphical and text work. I much prefer text install
    5.     You will get a few errors through the install but that is fine
    6.     The first we see is about network hardware and ‘load missing firmware from removable media?’ – Select ‘no’
    7.     Then select no ethernet card
    8.     It will have you name your machine then it will ask you for the root password
    a.     If you want to just use root *not recommended* place the password here
    b.     If you wish to use a non-root account then leave these blank and it will ask you for a name, username, and password of the new machine *Very Recommended* - this will also add this user to the sudoers file
    9.     It will then ask you to ‘partition disks’
    10.   Select manual
    11.   Now here is where it can get a little confusing so read twice click once
    12.   Select the USB drive from this list
    13.   Mine shows up under (sdb) – Leef Supra
    a.     It could be sdc, sdd, sde, etc… depending on how many drives you have plugged in.
    14.   You should see one primary drive that is 3gb or so that is formatted as FAT32. – DO NOT TOUCH THIS PARTITION!
    15.   You should see the remainder of this drive as ‘FREE SPACE’ select that
    16.   Create a partition at the end at size 1024mb and swap
    17.   Then create another one for the remainder of the drive and set it to ext4 with mountpoint of /
    18.   Continue through the install after you should see an error warning you that ‘you may not be able to boot’ that is fine, select continue
    19.   Then select from the menu of all the options ‘continue without bootloader’
    20.   It should finish up then reboot on its own.

    First setup/boot/fix grub
    1.     You should  be able to boot up into GRUB2 menu now.
    2.     You may not see kali linux in this menu (make sure you have your towel and don’t panic!)
    3.     Boot into Ubuntu
    4.     Once you log in you should see that you still cannot use wireless due to being locked by hardware
    5.     This is expected
    6.     Let’s fix grub then we will come back to fixing wireless
    7.     Plug in your device to connect to the internet (USB Tethering or USB Ethernet)
    8.     Once you verify that you now have an internet connection run the following from terminal
    a.     ‘sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer’
    b.     ‘sudo apt-get update’
    c.     ‘sudo apt-get install grub-customizer’
    9.     You can also edit the grub.cfg manually if you know what you are doing… I did not
    10.   Open grub  customizer
    11.   It should auto populate and you should see ‘debian (kali linux)’ somewhere in the list
    12.   It should be mounted to /dev/sdb2 or /dev/sdc2 depending on how many devices you have
    13.   At this point go ahead and save
    14.   Reboot and test that you can get into each OS
    15.   This is where my inexperience got me. I spent 2 of my days so I am including this error: If when you boot into Kali you get an error somewhere that says ‘/bin/sh: can’t access tty: job control turned off’ look above it for an error that looks similar to ‘ALERT! /dev/sdc2 does not exist. Dropping to a shell!!’
    a.     That error is due to the mount point being incorrect in grub, reboot and from within grub highlight the kali boot. Press ‘e’ then towards the bottom you should see ‘root=/dev/sdc2’ change this to ‘root=/dev/sdb2’ again the number doesn’t matter just make sure it stays the same.
    b.     Press F10
    c.     If this boots fine then you will need to go back and fix the grub.cfg or load into Ubuntu and open grub customizer again, it should fix this
    16.   Now you have 3 working OS on the machine with one being on a USB! Congrats!
    17.   You can remove the USB with no worry of screwing up your install, but you will not be able to boot into Kali Linux until you replace it. I would suggest only removing it and replacing it while the machine is powered off, but that’s just me.
    Fix Wireless
Now is the time to do what probably ¾ of you came here for. FIX THE DANG WIRELESS. This is a huge problem from Lenovo’s side that I hope they realize how important Linux is and will fix. I won’t hold my breath though.
Log into Ubuntu : This is well documented in the following forum post on page 3 by user Haohe:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2215044&page=3
His has you download quite a large file, mine should be much smaller.
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/puxnnoft3gn2b6l/WiFiFix.zip
    1.     Download the attached package with the fix.
    2.     Connect your USB internet device (tether or ethernet)
    3.     Place the packages somewhere easy to access, in this example I will place them under ~/Desktop/WiFiFix
    4.     Type ‘cd ~/Desktop/WiFiFix/’
    5.     Now we need to prep the tools we need.
    6.     Type ‘sudo apt-get update’ – we did this before, but you know, just in case

  • Load testing in Oracle BPM

    Hi,
Can anyone help me how to perform Load testing in Oracle BPM
    Regards,
    Jai

    Hi Jai,
What we are using is Oracle ATS (Application Test Suite) for both functional and load testing (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/app-test/etest-101273.html) .
Of course there are a lot of open source tools that you can also use such as JMeter.
