Query about to download Oracle Forms and Reports 11g

I have a Windows vista (Home basic).
I am trying to download Oracle Forms and Reports 11g to learning purpose from this link.

there is two links to download Oracle 11g for windows:
Windows x86
Windows 64
Should i use Windows x86 link?
please suggest.

I would like to install Oracle Forms and Reports 11g (11.1.1.4) on Windows 2012 Server. So could you please suggest me whether Windows 2012 is certified or not for installing Oracle Forms and Reports 11g (11.1.1.4) .

Forms 11.1.1.4 is not certified for Windows Server 2012. Further more, no 11g Forms release is actually certified by Oracle to run on Windows Server 2012.
I would use Windows Server 2008 and use Forms 11.1.2.1 (11gR2). 11gR2 is the best release from Oracle and will run much better than Forms 11.1.1.4.

Error while configuring Oracle Forms and Reports 11g

Hi,
I have been trying to install oracle forms and reports from last 5 days.
I have installed weblogic server 10.3.6
and trying to install forms and reports 11.1.2
Earlier while installing I did not configure it as it was giving some error so I just installed it but not again I have to configure it and I am getting the same error its as follows:-
INST-07286: Specified Oracle Middleware home location does not have version 10.3.5.0 of WebLogic server. If the version is incorrect then configuring with the Weblogic server will fail.
Provide a Oracle Middleware home location which contains WebLogic server with version 10.3.5.0 or upgrade the Weblogic server to 10.3.5.0 and restart the install.
I have latest version of WLS but still its not accepting.
Please help me guys , struggled a lot for it...What shall I do?

For this I downloaded the exact version 10.3.5 and problem got resolved.
But now getting new problem at the end of configuration part on Creating Domain, process is getting stuck. I waited for more than an hour but still progress is 0%.

Can i start oracle forms and reports 11g services in linux with opmnctl ?

Someone told me that to start oracle forms i need to this
[oracle@biz ~]$./startManagedWebLogic.sh WLS_FORMS
This scripts asks for a password and that's annoying... and it just stays waiting there.. i mean does not stay running in background... So if i finish my ssh session it will shutdown...
Today at oracle support they told me that i still can start forms with OPMN using opmnctl as we use to do in 10g... Is this possible? Does anyone here have a startup script for forms and reports 11g under linux? How do you guys start forms and reports?

with just opmnctl we cant run Forms I believe, we need to have WLS_FORMS also running ..
Forms requires ohs or wc to be up and running along with WLS_FORMS , thats is what is my understanding ..

If you're on 11.1.1.x (for example 11.1.1.5 or 11.1.1.4), please refer to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24269_01/doc.11120/e23975/upgrade_from_r1.htm for upgrade procedure.
Otherwise, if you're installing it brand new, download Oracle Forms and Reports 11gR2 (11.1.2.0.0 from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html

Install Forms and Report 11g, Weblogic, OID and SSO ?

I want to migrate our system from Forms and Reports 6i to 11g with weblogic server 10.3.3 and I have two questions:
1st: If we considered to obtain a system consists of (Weblogic 11g + Forms and Reports 11g + OID + SSO + Weblogic Portal + BI Publisher)
What is the steps and the sequence of products installation and configuration, and what is the required versions of each one ?
2nd: Can I abandon OID and SSO, is there a substitute ?
If so, what's the steps and the sequence of products installation and configuration ?

For Oracle Forms and Reports 11g Release 2 (11.1.2), download Oracle WebLogic Server 11g (10.3.5) from OTN or Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.
Be sure to select the proper Oracle WebLogic Server installer for your platform.

We finally started to migrate from Oracle iAs 10g Release 2 to Oracle Forms and Reports 11g Release 2 using Web Logic. I don't see an option to install Discoverer on the server.
My OS: windows 2008 R2
Installed Web Logic 10.3.6
Forms & Reports: 11.1.2.2.0_64 (64 Bit Forms)
How do I install Discoverer Plus in 11g? All I can find is Discoverer 11g Desktop/Administrator to run on User work Station. We were using discoverer Plus in 10g iAS.

How to run a silent configuration for Forms and Reports 11g ?

Hi all,
I've run a silent installation for Oracle Forms and Reports 11g R2 in Windows 7 64 bit.
I made it using a response file called install_only.rsp. Now I want to run the configuration also in silent mode.
How can I do it ?
I know that I can use a template called configure_only.rsp. However, i don't know what is the correct syntax for the command to start configuration.
Should I use the same setup.exe installer and inform configure_only.rsp as response file ?
The command below is the appropriate command for this task:
setup.exe -silent -response configure_only.rsp
Or is there another way to be followed?

Alright, I eventually found the answer.
Configuration must be run from directory on windows.
Command is shown below:
<FORMS_HOME>/bin/config.bat -silent -response <path-to-response-file>

Hi,
May I know why you need to start admin server in both the physically separated server. If you want to achieve HA solution for admin server, then do the clustering in such a way that Admin server will run in Active-Passive mode.
You can refer the same document that you have mentioned.

I am new to oracle forms & reports.here in my project we r using oracle forms and reports 6i.
Is there any option in oracle forms by which I can know which oracle form is hitting which procedure,packages ,table etc in backend database.I dnt know for which oracle form which packages has been called .
How to know database object name which is calling by oracle forms.
kindly help me to know package name so that i can start my development work with database packages..

What exactly you want to achieve ? What packages and procedures are being called, you would come to know by opening the form in Forms Builder and going to the relevant sections.

So I Google for it and found that this is version mismatch (May be I am wrong) and it tells that I have to install WLS - 10.3.2 with ofm_pfrd_win_11.1.1.2.0_64 (1 to 4)
But I am unable to get wls version 10.3.2.

That is a very very old product. It does not look like it is certified on that OS.
