Query Bex direct input filter value doesn't work

Hi experts,
when I use a bex report and direct insert a value in filter on the left; the report doesn't execute the request.
For exemple I would like to filter a value in 0COSTCENTER; I inserted direct value on the filter cell and the report doesn't return the aspected value.
How I can resolve this issue?
The query is based on planning level.

Hi Leszek,
At the left I digit a value for “Centro di Costo” (0COSTCENTER); for exemple I want to digit the value 8213-01 (or IT01/8213-01) and then 'enter'... The report does a refresh but then don’t execute the filter.
The same procedure runs without error if I select the value from menu “select filter value”.

Hi guys,
I've a random problem on some bex query when I try to slect filter value on navigable info object of the query.
The problem is that I can't select filter value because of the message:
<b><Install error> Missing ActiveX component: Business Expolrer Selektor</b>
Have you never had this kind of problem? Somebody knows how i can solve it.

Query Designer - Hide Repeated Key Values - Doesn't work in the web

Hello Experts,
I'm facing a problem with a query. The user requested that he/she wants to see all the values of the key values.
I already unchecked the option "Hide repeated key values" in query designer, but it still hiding it. I tested in BEx and it's working fine, but when I run it in the web the key values are being hidden.
Anyone knows what is happening? I'm not using WAD and there is no possibility to use it.

Hi,
I have seen this problem - setting that option still does not show the repeated key values in web. You will indeed need to use WAD and uncheck that option in the properties of the analysis item. If you can't do that, the other option would be to do this change in the default web template (which is generally 0Analysis_pattern for BI WAD) but note that this will affect all queries.
Also, please note that if the query is exported to excel, it will show the repeated values. This is the reason sometimes the users ask for key values to be repeated - maybe you would want to confirm that.

How to access sort direction and filter value of columns? Can I catch the 'filtered' or 'sorted' event?

We have some columns being added to a table. We have set the sortProperty and the filterProperty on each of our columns.
This allows us to both filter and sort.
We want to be able to access the columns filter value and sort value after the fact. Can we access the table and then the columns and then a columns properties to find these two items? How can I access the sort direction and filter value of columns?
We would also like to store the filter value and the sort direction, and re-apply them to the grid if they have been set in the past. How can we dynamically set the filter value and sort direction of a column?
Can I catch or view the 'filtered' or 'sorted' event? We would like to look at the event that occurs when someone sorts or filters a column. Where can I see this event or where can i tie into it, without overwriting the base function?

Just wanted to share how I implemented this:
Attach a sort event handler to table - statusReportTable.attachSort(SortEventHandler);
In this event handler, grab the sort order and sorted column name then set cookies with this info

When i fill the grid with data, i check my cookies to see if a value exists, and if so we apply this sort:

Lightroom 5.2 radial filter tool doesn't work

I recently purchased Lightroom 5.2 and the radial filter tool doesn't work. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix for this problem. Is there any way to get technical support from Adobe or is this a ridiculous question?

I believe the problem lies with me not knowing how to use the radial filter tool and not the software in this instance. As I mentioned, I just purchased Lightroom software and I'm in the process of learning. Last night, my first instance of a software glitch was with the slideshow view not working. I get a black screen; however, this is the subject for another post. Subsequently, I was struggling with the radial filter and, initially, I thought this was another glitch; which it is not. When I went to the Adobe website looking for technical support, I could not find any place where I could call or send an email for tech support to get a question answered. Instead, Adobe directs customers to this forum where kind people, such as yourself, are willing to help others. At this point, I was very exasperated. Again, I sincerely apologize and thank you very much for being willing to help. Best regards.

SoftKeyboardType property of StageText : some values doesn't work on Android

on my Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.2, when I use the softKeyboardType property of StageText :
"number" and "email" work,
but "punctuation", "url", and "contact" doesn't work.

WebI Report on BEx ignoring the filter values

Hallo experts,
I have a Webi report on BEx query.
We have two BEx Variables; one for Manual input and other one is a Customer Exit to calculate YTD on 0CALMONTH(Calender Month/Year).
We've created Webi report on this Bex query.
When we selected a value in webi prompt then it is ignoring the value and delivering all the data for previous years also.
But when we selected the value in Bex variable then it is giving only values which we selected.
For example:
We have data in our cubes for 2013 and 2014.
We selected in webi prompt JUN 2014 ------ in this case webi is delivering all the data for all the months and years (i:e JAN - DEC for 2013 and 2014)
We selected in Bex variable JUN 2014 ----in this case Bex is delivering only values for JAN 2014 until JUN 2014 for only 2014.
So, BEx is working as should be but not Webi.
Any ideas to solve this Webi issues would be appreciated.

When I am placing input variable in a dummy key figure, I am getting values for one month less.
Example: i am selecting JUN 2014 and it is delivering values until MAY 2014.

Query is hanging on filter value

Hi..
In production, we are having BEX issues when trying to filter on a characteristic. The session either hangs or shortdumps. In SM50, it looks like the session is hung reading table /BI0/0300409094. I cannot determine what this table is tied to. I assume it is a master data SID table.
Is this a database table index issue? How do I resolve or determine the cause? I cannot view this table in SE11.

I guess you are trying to restrict the characteristics by choosing from one of the available values and system hangs when u choose from one of those values.
Instead in rows, filters etc..choose your characteristic , right clisk> restrict and directly give the value for filtering.
This will avoid the time to show all values of master data and than choose from one of them.

Bex Property of Info object doesn't work when Infoset is Used

Hi,
When I use Business partner info object ( example 0CRM_SALESP or 0BP_ACTIVIT etc) in a query build directly on a ODS(DSO) or infocube, the Bex setting "Query Def Filter Value Selection = Only Values in Info provider" defined in the 'Business Explorer" tab of the infoobject, works perfectly. This means that if the info object has 1 Million records in the master data table, but in the transaction data only 100 are involved, when you define a varialble restriction for the info object , in the selection screen the F4 will only show these 100 data as help.
Although this feature works fine when the query is directly developed ON THE INFO PROVIDER. However when I define a infoset on the same ODS and define a similar query, the F4 value shows all the data from the master data table instead of the ocurance in the transaction data( info provider)..
Is there any way , I can get over this issue.

I guess, I couldn't ecplain the issue properly earlier.
What I am saying that even though I have the proper setting in the BEX tab ("Query Def Filter Value Selection = Only Values in Info provider") for the info object , It behaves differently if the query is defined directly on ODS then on the infoset which is built on top of the ODS.
When the query is build on the ODS the setting works fine
However when the query is defined on the Infoset, the F4 help get the value from the info object master data.
My question is , why this two different behaviour for the same info object? And how do I over conme this to get the same bahavious in info set as of the ODS.

Parameter default value doesn't work in Discoverer Desktop 4i

Hello,
I have a parameter called 'Organization' in discoverer report.
I want to set its default value to one organization from the list of values. I edited the parameter
and selected that value from the list in the Default value field. But,when I run
the report, it shows the recently used value for that parameter,
instead of showing the default value.
I have the same problem with all parametrs in workbooks in Discoverer.
I am using Discoverer Desktop 4i (4.1.41.05.00).
Is there anything i can do to make Discoverer show me the default value for the parameter every time i run the workbook?

Unfortunately it seams that seting that p[reference doesn't work for my version of Discoverer.
That option is introduced with version 4.1.43 and we are using version 4.1.41.05.
I suppose i can't solve that problem on another way in this version of Discoverer Desktop..?

Language input switching shortcut doesn't work

Hi! I always use command-space to switch between English and Chinese (Cangjie) input (having disabled this shortcut for Spotlight), but all of a sudden it stops working. I know the command key works and the space bar works, but when I press command-space it does nothing. I have to click on the little language flag to switch language. I also tried restarting the mini.
There is also something weird about the Chinese inputting now but I'll ask that in another post.

I've been having a similar problem, but a little more elaborate.
It started with my Finder switching on its own from US (my default) keyboard input to Hebrew. I would just switch back using the shortcut (command+space bar), a shortcut I have been using for years without problems. Now the shortcut is giving me problems, and sometimes doesn't work, as steveappleotp describes.
While in Safari, the shortcut failed to work. I checked my System Preferences for language input and nothing had changed. When I used the mouse to open the language input menu, 3 of the 6 languages were grayed out. But this doesn't happen consistently. All of a sudden everything is okay and I don't know how to recreate the problem.
Thought I would post this here as it's recent and related, but maybe I should start another thread.

Snap to Absolute Value doesn't work in Logic 9

I recently upgraded to Logic 9 and things have been good except that in my Piano Roll the "Snap to Absolute Value" setting stopped working for setting the ends of my notes. I migrated my settings over from Logic 8 and all my keys commands and preferences work perfectly so I am wondering if there is a new setting in Logic 9 I have to set to get the snap to work. When I try and lengthen notes whether I have "Snap to Absolute Value" set or not the resolution for changing the note length does not change and I can't get my note ends exactly where I want them. If I zoom in on the note ends and have "snap" on I can get the not ends to an absolute value, but I thought the point of the "Snap to Absolute Value" setting was that you didn't have to change your zoom to snap to absolute value. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Are you using a locale different from the default (En-US)? Can you check if the phone locale that was installed on the CUCM is compatible with the phone firmware? Can you try a higher phone firmware and higher locale which is compatible with that phone firmware?

Query property "Save and reuse variable value" doesn't work in BW EHP1

We have a workbook which contain 4 queries, every different worksheet is a different query.
All the queries are on the Same InfoCube and all the queries use the same variables.
In the properties of the query n.2 we set the parameter "Save and reuse variable values" then we refresh the 1st query and all work fine (the system asks the variable values) but when we refresh the 2nd query the system doesn't use the same variable values that we have inserted for the query n.1
We don't have the same problem in 7.0.
Any help is appreciated.

I suppose, you need to set the 'Save and reuse variable values' for each query individually in the workbook. I am not sure however there is a option where you can specify to apply the settings of one query to all queries in the work book.

If you want to copy list item with Person column to another list, here are two solutions for your reference:
1.Use SharePoint Designer workflow to create item in another list when there is item added in the current list, there is a workflow action “Create List Item”
will meet your requirement. The string in Person column will still be a hyperlink in the other list and you can apply filter on it.

Why customer exit variable to grab the current month value doesn't work?

In CMOD, input the following code to grab the current month value from the system date:
Grab the month value with System Date
WHEN 'CURMONTH'.
    CLEAR l_s_range.
    l_s_range-low = SY-DATUM+4(2).
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.
In Query Designer, create a formula variable CURMONTH processed by customer exit and the dimension under the Currency/Unit tab is "Number". Put the formular variable in the column as a KF. When running the query, the column with the formular variable shows values of "2,0000000" other than just "2" I want for the current month. If the dimension under the Currency/Unit tab is "date", the column with the formular variable shows values of "00/00/0000". Any idea? How to grab the correct current month value which is 2 from the system date.

Oh ok , try the below options, As such I dont see any errors in our code .
Not sure if you have ABAPER's in your team, just check with them once on the FM we are trying to see .
Next , do you hvae 0CALDAY available in your report ? If so try to restrict that field with variable "0DAT" and write the same code you have written for your formula variable , but instead change the variable name to "0DAT" and try if this gets the month . let me know if I'm not clear .
