Query in Configuration

Hi all,
I added a Context Node ( as a Model Node) to the view GenericItem of the Component 'BT116IT_SRVO' .
But I am not able to see the fields in that Context node under Configuration Tab.
Please guide me as to how to get the fields in that Context Node under the configuration tab.

  • Query Rewrite Configuration

    Hi,
I have a confusion on the •     Query Rewrite Configuration in OBIEE some one at workplace has raised a question on the configuration of Query rewrite in OBIEE
i think this is a feature of Oracle Database , but just wanted to know is there anything in OBIEE for Query Rewrite, other than the aggregate level setting.
    Help appreciated

Query rewrite is handled by the Oracle RDBMS. You would just expose the MV/tables in your physical layer of RPD as per any regular table.

How to write a query such tht if i give any title name in the five rows it should return the respective row
    please help me out.
    Regards,

    the query is: select TITLE,..... from movie where (TITLE =#title);
The second "title" will be the one which i am going to give in bpel console

    Hi,
We need to configure workflow notification mailer in production instance: The plan of action is as follows:
Change the mail_status to 'SENT' for all mails which are in queue.
Update the personalised status for all users to 'DO NOT SEND MAIL'
Select few users and set status to 'MAIL TYPE HTML' so that these users will be able to receive mails.
    Configure workflow mailer.
    Test the mailing service.

  • Query Governer Configuration Settings-URGENT

    Hi
When I run my report, sometimes I get an error 'Not all rows have been retrieved.Data may be inaccurate'.
Then i found out reason could be because of Query Governer settings (Tools->Options->Query Governer Tab)where i have checked option Limit retrieve data to 10 rows.
    My problem is
    1) I dont see an option to uncheck any of three features(i.Warn me if predicted query time exceeds.(ii) Prevent queries from running longer than (iii) Limit retrieve data to ) in Query Governer because all of them are disabled.
2)If I try to increse the value from Limiting retrieve data to 10 rows to say 15 rows,I get an error 'This value cannot be set higher thn the limit specified by your Discoverer Manager'.
Please advice me.How can i configure these settings.
    Thanks

Well, there are default settings, but they can be overridden at the user level. Do Tools > Privileges in Administration, pick a user, and you will see a Query Governor tab there as well. In Discoverer Plus, under options, there is also a Query Governor tab there, so as a Business Plus user, I can change those values there as well. Can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be.

  • Query Designer configuration

    Hi,
I'm trying to debug a configuration problem with query designer when it connects to my BI 7.0 server.  Here is the problem:
start - all programs - business explorer - query designer
I then connect to my SAP BI 7.0 system using my personal id that has sap_all sap_new authorities
From the Query designer I select query - open
    then I select -
info areas - human resources - personal administration - headcount and personal actions - headcount/change in staffing level
    Then Execute ...
My web page opens up with...

For some reason the hostname and port are missing.  Does anyone know where this is configured?
    Thanks,
    Lee

    Bhanhu,
Thanks for the quick response.  I am the basis administrator for this server.  This system was built by a redirected restore, so I'm trying to figure out where these settings are adjusted.  Do you know the profile parameters that would be used in RZ10 or the settings in RSPARAM.  I looked in RSPARAM but I did not see where this could be set.  Any leads would be helpfull.
    Thanks,

  • Query while configuring foreign server in JMS module

    Hi All,
I'm configuring foreign server in my weblogic 10.3 to access the queues in the remote weblogic server 10.3. while configuring the foreign server it is asking for the destination and connection factory JNDIs for both local and remote server. My question is whatever JNDI we gave for the local destination or connection factory whether it should be already existing one or do we need to give that JNDI value unique for that Foreign server. I mean whether we have to create queue and connection factory and use their JNDIs or no need to create queues and connection factory and directly giving the JNDI names.
And one more question is while configuring JMS adapter in Jdev11g what should be the JNDI name to be given in the JMS adapter configuration wizard.
    Thanks.

my scenario is I have created a queue and connection factory in one weblogic server A and i have created foreign server in other weblogic server B and using the unique local JNDI names and JNDI names of B in remote JNDI for destination and connection factory tabs. Now in the deployment plan i have created one connection pool in the resource adapter(in my scenario it is JMS adapter) where i have gave the connection factory as local JNDI connection factory.
Now I created one composite in which i have created one JMS adapter to place data into the queue and deployed the composite. when executing the composite i'm getting an error saying that the resource adapter could not able to find the JNDI name.

  • Creating Configuration MBean using RemoteMBeanServer

    Hi
I'm trying to create a configuration MBean using the RemoteMBeanServer. More precisely, I get a reference to the RemoteMBeanServer using the MBeanHome.
Then I use the standard createMBean method of the javax.management.MBeanServer to create a Configuration MBean. In my case it is a JDBCConnectionPoolMBean.
However, when I try to run this from lets say a webapp, it throws a quote: "javax.management.NotCompliantMBeanException: The MBean must be have a concrete class"
I know I can use the MBeanHome to create ConfigurationMBeans but for sake of reuse I'd like to use the MBeanServer's interface. I can use the MBeanHome to get the RemoteMBeanServer, but I don't want to use the MBeanHome interface for MBean management.
I can lookup/query the Configuration MBeans using the generic MBeanServer but I'm not able to create any.
The core of the code is something like this:
    ObjectName oname = new ObjectName("devel:Name=testPool,Type=JDBCConnectionPool");
    ObjectInstance oi = mbeanServer.createMBean(
    "weblogic.management.configuration.JDBCConnectionPoolMBean" oname );
where mbeanServer is a reference to a javax.management.MBeanServer retrieved from MBeanHome
How can I do this then? Do I have to use one of the other overloaded createMBean methods? different name?
    Hope someone can help.

  • SDK C# - query Security Role Properties like Views, Tasks etc

    Hi,
i have a Problem with getting information from the securityroles in SCSM. In C# i cant get the views, Tasks, templates etc. which are in the security roles. Can anybody give me a hint how i can query this configuration in c#.
    Thank you in advance.

So the "real need" is that your security roles are confusing and not well defined, so to address this, you'd like to make or find a tool that tells you quickly roles a given user is in, then you could go about troubleshooting
    the security issue.
I'd like to offer an alternative: fix your security roles.
a ideal* service manager implementation has 3 security roles.
Administrators, who can see and manage everything,
Analysts, who can work incidents complete activities and shepherd things through the process, but can't really change how the system operates
    Everyone Else, who get
implied permissions and not much else.
Sometimes those roles are broken out into different responsibility groups, which are queue filtered, but typically those are the three classes of people in service manager.
Those roles groups should be applied to the departmental or job groups that correspond to the people who do this job, i.e. you work in the helpdesk, therefore you get helpdesk rights in SCSM.
If you are going to stray from this ideal, you should have a good reason for it.
*note: ideal is not "most" or even "a good", ideal is exactly what it sounds like, an ideal goal state that isn't restricted to practical needs. Practical business needs are going to modify this ideal, but it isn't going
to change the goal, just how close you can get.

  • Query Logging Enabled but cannot find

As per the DBAG I should be able to find the query log hereHYPERION_HOME/logs/essbase/app/appname/dbname/dbname00001.qlg
When I use this path to I can only get to to app D:\EPM\EPMSystem11R1\logs\essbase\app there is nothing inside the app folder. Am I looking at the wrong folder?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hello,
    From the DBA guide
To enable query logging, create a query configuration file ... and add to the file the configuration settings that control how query logging is performed.
In the ARBORPATH/app/appname/dbname directory, create a query log configuration file. The configuration file must be named dbname.cfg, where dbname matches the name of the database. For example, the query log configuration file for Sample.Basic is basic.cfg. The output query log file is located, by default, at ARBORPATH/app/appname/dbname00001.qlg.
You must stop and start the application, so it can read the config file.
Contents of a query log config file:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/essbase_tech_ref/frameset.htm?launch.html
Query Log Settings File SyntaxThe query log settings filename must be of the form dbname.cfg, where dbname represents the name of a database. The dbname.cfg file must be located in the ARBORPATH\App\appname\dbname directory of Essbase. The dbname.cfg file consists of the following syntax:
    QUERYLOG [dimension_name]
    QUERYLOG NONE GENERATION generation-range
    QUERYLOG NONE LEVEL level-range
    QUERYLOG GENERATION generation-range
    QUERYLOG LEVEL level-range
    QUERYLOG LOGHAMBRS ON | OFF
    QUERYLOG LOGPATH path-expression
    QUERYLOG LOGFORMAT CLUSTER | TUPLE
    QUERYLOG LOGFILESIZE n
    QUERYLOG TOTALLOGFILESIZE n
    QUERYLOG ON | OFF

  • Query logging?

    Hi,
A customer of mine picked up this in the essbase log
Missing Database Config File [C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\APP\<app name>\OHead\OHead.cfg], Query logging disabled
The essbase app is used for planning.
I cannot find the file concerned. The other databases do not have a config file.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
    Nathan

You will only have a query loggin cfg file if you set one up. It is related to the query logging capability.
    From the DBAG
    Implementing Query Logs
Query logging provides a way for Essbase administrators to track query patterns of an Essbase database. The query log file tracks all queries performed against the database regardless of whether the query originated from Spreadsheet Add-in or Report Writer. Query logging can track members, generation or level numbers of members belonging to specific generations or levels, and Hybrid Analysis members. Query logging also offers the flexibility to exclude logging of certain dimensions and members belonging to generations or levels. Because the query log file output is an XML document, you can import the log file to any XML-enabled tool to view the log. For details about the query log file structure, refer to querylog.dtd in the ARBORPATH/bin directory.
To enable query logging, create a query configuration file (distinct from the essbase.cfg file) and add to the file the configuration settings that control how query logging is performed.
In the ARBORPATH\App\appname\dbname directory of Essbase, create a query log configuration file. The configuration file must be named dbname.cfg, where dbname matches the name of the database. For example, the query log configuration file for Sample Basic is basic.cfg. The output query log file is located at, by default, ARBORPATH\App\appname\dbname00001.qlg.
For more information about query logging and how to set up the query log configuration file, see the Technical Reference.

  • Configuring System DSN for UCCX8

    Hi,
I was just about to post a query re. configuring the System DSN for wallboards in UCCX 8.
I followed the instructions on pages 461-463 of the document below:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cust_contact/contact_center/crs/express_8_0/configuration/guide/uccx801ag.pdf
However when I tested the connection I got a message stating INFORMIXSERVER does not match either DBSERVERNAME or DBSERVERALIASES
My UCCX server was called UCCXDAT01 and I had entered UCCXDAT01_uccx for the Server Name.
After some troubleshooting (verifying that the machine I was configuring the System DSN on could ping the UCCX server) I eventually worked out the problem - the entry for the Server Name has to be in lower case. I changed it to uccxdat01_uccx and the test completed successfully.
Hope this helps others that run into the same issue.

Yes, Its little bit tricky when you are setting DSN connection - Always follow the below stated conventions
    ==============
•Convert all upper case letters to lower case.
    •Replace hyphens with underscore.
•Add the letter “i” as a prefix to the instance name, if the host name starts with a number.
•Append the letters "_uccx" to the instance name.
For example, if the host name is "802UCCX-Ha-Node1", then you should enter "i802uccx_ha_node1_uccx” in the server name field.
    ========
There is a interesting post on this
