Query in Production.

Hi,
I had created query in Deve client and download them (query, infoset, usergroup) into desktop. I am trying to create tcode for Production client.if upload it to QAS client then it create query code and generated file name. This file not created in Production client where I am not able to put file in Tcode.
I dont know what happened in production client?

This is the practice:
1. The project team will build all the reports defined in the project plan, test and transport to production. These queries usually will be set not to be changed.
2. SUper users will be granted authorization to create their own queries, modify their own queries and delete their own queries. For this the auth object S_RS_COMP1 is used.
3. All the other users will be granted to access reports.

I Experts,
I have an issue. Someone has deleted one query in Production system.
How can i find who has deleted the query??
I searched the ans for the same i the below threads :-

But it didn't help me as i couldn't understand how to use the transaction SLG1.. Can Someone please explain me how can i find out who has deleted the Query..

Hello,
Please, remember the date on which date the query has seen last time in the production server. You can use the last date in the From date and To date would be current date and execute the SLG1 tcode. It would list you all the logs in the Object text you can search for BEX Query designer and sub object text column you can check for delete logs options.
Double click on the object will list you the query and name. From the user column you can find who has deleted the query.
Might be this can help you for analysis.

Question related to changing query from Production to Development

Hello friends i have a question,
I did query designing and transported it to production.
Now there are lots of modification needs to be done in it.
So can i change the queryin production or not.
If i have to do modification what shall i do?
If i do it in dev again, how to transport it back to production.
what precaustion i need to take.

Hi Kartikey,
Follow the below steps.
1.Goto transport connection in RSA1 of ur development.
2.Click on icon Bex.Create a Bex request.
3.Edit ur query.Assign it to created Bex request.
4.Transport it to Production.
Your previous query in Production will be over written by the new Query.
Assigning points is the way of saying thanks in SDN.

Hi,
You can get the time stamp( when it was deleted) from table RSRDELREPORTS. Based on that time check with basis guys to get the more info.

PS: all these tables are public to query or just allow oracle internal usage?As Apps user, you should be able to query these tables. For other database users, you need to check if the users have select privilege to access the tables or not.

Transport of ABAP query to production server

Hi!
I have developed a report with ABAP query in development server with transaction codes SQ01, SQ02 AND SQ03 respectively.
I also got the program name from SQ01.
Now , how to attach a transaction code with the program that is generated from ABAP query and transport it to production server
successfully.
If the program is attached directly to the tr code through SE93 and transported----- program is not found in the pr. server.
pls help me out , requirement is very urgent.

Modify Query in Production System !

Hello SDN s,
How ya all ?
We want to Modify a Query by inserting one more InfoObject in the Production System. When we try to Drag & Drop the InfoObject from the Dimension to the Free Characteristics it showed blocked symbol and hence we are unable to modify the Query.
We do have to Query in the Development but cannot use that for Transport as it holds another Query Structure which is used by another Production System.
Could anyone suggest us how to modify the Query ?
Will there be any authorization to maintain for the user ?

Creating Query in Production with Calculated key figures

Hi BW Experts,
Can u pls let me know that in case of Production System when we are allowing users to create reports with Adhoc Web Query Designer and using CKF + RKF
(Calculated key Figure) which is already transported to Production in a specific Package, Is Production system will allow to save report?
Pls sugges how to solve this problem ..to give permission for users to create reports in production server with CKF RKF?

rsa1 -> transport conection -> object changeability button -> Set query elements as everything changeable.
If you want to refine this you have to do by authorizations.

How to transport infoset query to Production serveR?

when i transport everything is transported to production server. when i run the transaction in production server it shows me the error saying . PROGRAM Does not exist .. how to resolve this..
can any one help me to transport my infoset query from step-to-step.

Well there is no button as such.
I hope you must have found the Transport button.
When you click it, it gives selection screen there you can find the redio buttons.
Export will create a transport request and Download will download it to local machine.
Let me know if it doesn't work. But you have to do more analysis as to how to go this way.

if create a query by copying an existing query and make some modification in production and sent it to client..and client is happy as it satisfies all his requirement .
Then what is the use of creating Bex query in development and transport it in quality and then to production if we can create directly in production ?

There is something called as SOX compliance..and three system landscape.
First of all you are not suppose to make changes to standard qeuries.
You can give it to the client a new copied query wirth required changes and it is very much accepted as well but how will it be tracked for future support.
Suppose there is a change in the underlying cube...this will affect all the queries and the new copied query which no one knows about will be affected too.How will you test it if its workinf fine with the new flow.
If you want to do the testing in production as well.... then you are not following SAP guidelines and may be you are violating the contract signed by you and your client.

Changing the Query in Production

My requirement is to make a small change in a query which is available in production with out changing in Quality .When i am trying to change i got the error message like Error :System is not set to changeable - Objects are not changeable.How to change a single report with out accessing tcode se06 and scc4 .Please advise.

Hi there,
No it isn't with a not changeable system. The only option is the one I've mentioned, which is make the query elements changeable even if you have a not changeable system, but this will be for all the queries and not a single one.

You can take the relevant fields from OWOR and WOR1 tables.
You can create a customise query and get the report.

Allow saving ad hoc query in production system

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to allow saving and modification of queries withing Global Area (Cross-client) by if i try to save created query, an error occurs with following text:
SAP System has status 'not modifiable'
There is a performance assistance memo with followed message number:
Message no. TK102
Could you please provide me more information how it occurred and how can I allow saving Ad hoc Query within global area in production system without mentioned error?

Error when trying to delete a query from production

Hi Experts,
When i tried to delete a query from production system using RSZDELETE, I am getting an error message like " Query object 42BYOKUXDNZBZKMC2VHR5Z19H is blocked. Deletion has been cancelled."
i went to E071 table using SE16,and found out the transports which contains this particular object.This transports have returned error code 8.
Can anyone help me on deleting this object entry from these requests?
How will I delete this particular object entry from these transport requests?
