  • LabVIEW for Linux, Drivers for DAQCard 500 & DAQCard-AO-2DC

I can't seem to find the drivers on the web site. If they are not yet available, when can I get them? Thank you, Harry

    Harry,
National Instruments currently does not provide any linux drivers for its daq devices. You can get all the related info you need about labview, daq and linux from http://www.ni.com/linux/.
Check this site out and it'll lead you to the Comedi project website from where you may be able to get open-source drivers for some of NI's data acquistion products.

  • Where can I find linux drivers for my laptop? Does lenovo support provides that to download?

    Dear All,
    I purchased a Lenovo G570 (Model Name: 20079).
Where can I find linux drivers for my laptop?
Does lenovo support provides that to download?
    Sincerely,
    Srinivas Nayak

    Hello snayak
Do not worry about Linux drivers for your laptop. All needed drivers for most of the machines are on the Linux kernel. Most hardware are recognized by latest kernel. So all you have to do is install your distro and enjoy Linux.
The best way to check if all hardware are recognized is booting up a distro in live mode and test the hardware.
You can make a test with Linux Mint, and install their new and amazing DE called Cinnamon. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

    where can i get them?

Creative have stated that they are working on closed-source Linux drivers for the X-Fi cards, which would enable full support for X-Fi under Linux. Read more here.Although given the current hassle with the release of Vista, I guess Linux drivers are on hold...
Thank you. I found this site soon after posting my request here.
I hope it comes to pass.
After installing my NVIDIA driver I appreciate how complicated Linux driver installation applications can be when you are designing an install app that'll work with every flavor and installation quirks of linux there are. My sincere thanks to the people at Creative who have to develop it!

  • Linux drivers for SUN Quad PCI card

    Hi everyone.
I have a question regarding drivers for a Sun QUAD network card. I belive it is a X1034A card.
The card is also marked with a label saying: *5015406063174* and a barcode. On another label it says: P04280713
Is there any chance that this card would function under a Linux operating system on an intel x86 server?
Does anyone know where I could find the drivers for this configuration?
    Best regards,
    Rod

Take a closer look at the actual card,
particularly at the central Ethernet chip.
If I recall correctly, it is a DEC DC2115x chipset for 10/100Mbit connectivity,
and should be natively recognized by Linux.
The 501-5406 QFE card, as shown on a 3rd party web site.
Install it and boot your system.
You should know in just a few moments whether it'll work,
or whether the Sun firmware is of any concern.

  • Oracle Ent. Linux  drivers for HP Smart Array B110i Sata Raid Controller

Trying to install Oracle Ent. Linux (OEL) release 4 update 8 on HP DL 180 G6 server. Where we can find OEL drivers for the sata raid controller ?
(HP Smart Array B110i Sata Raid Controller)
    Thanks in advance.

The HP support side shows a Linux certification matrix at: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/servers/linux/hplinuxcert.html
From there you can also download the necessary drivers and instructions or use HP smartstart CD which prepares the system for the OS you need to install. Oracle Enterprise Linux is binary compatible with RHEL. You will need to click on "Archive" to see support for Enterprise Linux version 4 and older.

  • Qosmio G30: I can not find Linux drivers for Bluetooth and TV Tuner

I have the Qosmio Q30 HD-DVD(PQG32) running on Ubuntu Linux. My Problem is I can not find drivers for Bluetooth and TV Tuner.
Does Toshiba support Linux? If yes when I find it?

TV tunner, forget it there is'nt a Linix driver for it yet.
    Bluetooth NO PROBLEM
First turn on your wireless card.
2nd runn the command toshutils -b I think
toshutils is a support program for toshiba laptops.
you also need to have the bluetooth drivers loaded on your machine.
If everything is working correctly a little B bluetooth logo will appear on the top toolbar

  • GNU/Linux Drivers for Tecra R840-10T PT429E-00M007EP

    Greetings Toshiba and ForumFolk.
I'm considering the purchase of said laptop, but i will only do so if i can use it with my "Other Operating System". :)
I'm guessing this laptop is somewhat new and i can't find reliable information anywhere, so i'll try here for starters. From what i see, the only drivers Toshiba supplies are windows ones.
The FOSS drivers only go as far as HD 5890 series for the graphics card. What's the difference between HDMI and DusplayPort?
I'm completely in the dark regarding which chipsets are actually used for the other components. Some drivers are said to be "OS independent", however, following the links to the 3G driver, i get a list of 3 drivers/utilities, all for windows.
I assume bluetooth and WiFi (a/b/g/n or b/g/n?) will be more straightforward and easy to support with FOSS drivers, i hope. The manual states that WiFi and Bluetooth operate in the same frequencies, is this so?! Any real-life usage risks (network dropouts, etc)?
I don't really care about the Optical drive (or speakers and card-slots), but what's that about not being able to use 2.6 or 5.2GB DVD-RAM?
    Any lights here?
PS: Are there any Toshiba laptops that don't have vents on the underside? It's rather silly of laptop makers.

    Hi
I tried to read through the thread and found several open questions from your side.
So I don't really know which one You are waiting for to be answered.
First of all - don't expect Toshiba people to answer questions here. This is mainly a User forum. Period.
You ask about LAN chip and I can see that the answer was given already, but here You go again: Intel 82579LM
You ask about WLAN standards supported. The only info that I can find is as was already mentioned: A/G/N.
B is normally always present although not explicitly stated. Without giving any guarantee, I don't think we'll see B disappearing from the feature-lists anytime soon.
You ask about chipset used. R840 is based on Sandy Bridge. In this case Intel QM67,
The Linux Kernel has been supporting this chipset for some time and any current popular distro with a recent kernel should have no problems configuring your unit.
However, booting from USB was not working for me using Fedora 15. Doing the same from ODD worked fine though.
You ask about CPU's. The answer above covers that question.
So hoping to have answered your questions I'll end this answer now.
If You have any more questions - please be specific and I'll try to answer.
    Cheers
    Tom

  • Linux Drivers for Y570

Hello there, I have a Lenovo Y570 laptop and I don't have driver support for Linux 64. Not on the cd provided, not on the website. Any help, please?

Now I am using Fedora 32 bit and it works good, but I don't know what is the situation with Linux 64 bit.
If  you do not hav any binary driver for 64 bit, first try to get the driver's source code and then build it and install it from a terminal.
What are the drivers you don't have?

    Hello,
Does anyone know where I can find linux drivers for the F20-136's tv tuner? I understand that the Qosmio Player is based on linux so presumably they do, but I have been unable to find them.
Ideally, I'm after Suse 10 compatible drivers.
    Thanks

    Hi,

  • GTX 460 drivers for Linux

    Hello,
I've been searching for the Linux drivers for the NVIDIA GTX 460 card and I can't seem to find them. There are no certified or beta drives on Nvidia's website for Linux x32 or x64. Anyone know if they exist? Some people on Google say they do, and vice versa.
    I have 2x 460s on SLI.

  • Can I use LINUX Drivers in Solaris 10...

As a beginner, I have installed Solaris 10 version 08/07 onto my system. The motherboard is ASUS M2A-VM, with integrated graphics, network interface, audio, etc...
My audio and network interface are not working... The motherboard came with a cd which has windows drivers and additional software.
It also has linux drivers for:
    Audio:
    Core5
    Core6
    Linux
    RHEL4
    SUSE10
    Other
    realtek-linux-audiopack-4.05f
    LAN
    FreeBSD
    Linux
    SCO_OpenServer6
    Unixware7.x
    Chipset, and RAID!
Has anyone used any of these ASUS Linux drivers with Solaris...
If so what steps do I need to take to get them to work on my system! (I hate to ask, I know you all have better things to do) Maybe you can point me to a good book that explains how to go step by step...
My question is how do I get my NIC to work (What steps do I need to follow? the sound is not an issue, as, I can do with out that. Will any of the drivers mentioned above work?) thank you in advance for your answers...

Drivers are the "connective tissue" between the Operating System and the hardware. The connections from the drivers to the OS are not compatible between different operating systems, so no, you cannot use Linux drivers in Solaris.
If the OS is similar enough you can sometimes get away with it -- example, using Solaris 9 drivers in Solaris 10. But between completely different OSes? Won't work.

  • Linux driver for GF4 Ti 4400

I bought a new computer a couple of months ago. Equipped with the MSI GeForce4 Ti 4400 128 MB DDR graphics card. It works fine in Win XP, but when I boot in Redhat linux 8.0 things get nasty! The X server dies a couple of times and finally comes alive in a low resolution and few coluors with the vesa driver. The nv driver kills the X-server. So I tried to search the CD¶ that came with the board for linux drivers, but could not find any linux SW at all!
OK. No problem. Just go to MSI website and download it there, I thougt. The product description for my card clearly stated that there were linux drivers for MSI GF4 Ti 4400 DDR. Following the link under "related" named "drivers" I thought I would find something to cure my flickering screen in a resolution so low it is barely readable. But no. Nothing. Only different microsoft drivers for their OS.
So where are the needed drivers for my card under linux? Any ideas would be gratefully appriciated.

  • Netgear Drivers for 64-bit Windows?!?!?

Has anyone else seen this slight problem? Netgear is more than willing to release 64-bit Linux drivers for nearly all of their hardware, although has yet to release a single one of their products. Has anyone been able to find any 64-bit drivers for the netgear NIC's? Preferably, I would like to get my hands on the driver for the WAG311 108MB/ps Wireless Network Card, so that I can use it with my 64-bit system.
    Thank you for your assistance,

I wouldn't hold your breath.  Their consumer product drivers (e.g. wireless router) won't even load in PAE mode (physical address extension) so I would be inclined to believe the marketting folks have told them it's less important than new stuff.  I had them working just fine in Windows 2003 server 32bit, but flip on the /PAE and they just won't load.
