Query on Infoset

Hi ,
I created Infoset based on two ODS. i can view the data of the infoset in the listcube. but when i create a query on infoset and executed it, its turning up no data in the report.
can anyone tell me how to solve this

Hi,
If you can see the data of an InfoSet in listcube, it should come up in report as well.
Please try to execute the query thru RSRT (T Code) and see what is happening. You may find the cause there.

Prompt List of Values in WebI - SAP BI Variable - SAP BI Query -BI Infoset

We have a Multiprovider built on an Infoset. SAP BI Infoset is built using 2 DSOs.
There is a SAP BI Query on top of this Multiprovider.
Multiple-Single Values type Optional Variables are created for some of the Objects of this SAP BI Query.
Universe is created on top of this SAP BI Query, using SAP Integration kit.
WebI is created on top of this Universe.
Prompts are created on some of the Universe Objects, for the WebI report.
We are facing a typical problem.
When a WebI prompt is created on one particular object, (which also has a Multiple Single Value type Optional Variable in SAP BI Query), its List of Values is showing up only first three values in WebI. The SAP BI Variable in BEX Analyzer shows up all the 8 values for the List of Values, for the same object.
The Output WebI report has more values for the object than shown up in the List of Values & this is the problem.
We tried to keep the settings in Info-object, DSO, Infoset, Multiprovider = Values in Master Data (for the List of Values).
Similar objects and similar variables for the same query / webi show all the List of Values.
Any guidance on aspects to be checked would be helpful.

Problem :
If an SAP BI Infoset is used in data modelling, and a restricted key
figure is created in the SAP BI Query; the resultant WebI Object Prompt
for the Info-object, only shows up LOVs which have been used for the
restricted Key Figure. Both the things are not related except for the
fact that some of the values for the same object are used for the
restricted key figure.
Details :
We have a Multiprovider built on an SAP BI Infoset.
SAP BI Infoset is built using 2 DSOs.
There is a SAP BI Query on top of this Multiprovider.
There is a restricted key figure in the sap bi query. KeyFigure "Number
of Records" is restricted for 3 of the relevant Info-object "Meter
Reading Status" values.
Universe is created on top of this SAP BI Query, using SAP Integration
kit. WebI is created on top of this Universe.
Prompt is created on the Universe Object for Meter Reading Status, in
the WebI report.
List of Values is showing up only the three values in WebI (which were
used in the Restricted Key Figure calculation).
SAP BI Variable in BEX Analyzer for the same Info-object Meter Reading
Status shows up all the 8 values for the List of Values.
The Output WebI report has more values for the object than shown up in
the List of Values & this is the problem.
We have kept the settings in Info-object, DSO, Infoset,
Multiprovider, Query = Values in Master Data (for the List of Values).
When we delete the "Restricted Key Figure" from the SAP BI Query, the
refreshed Universe and Webi have a complete set of List of Values
applicable.
Steps for Reconstruction
1. Create Infoset
2. Create SAP BI Query on Infoset
3. Create Restricted Key Figure for Number of Records and few of the
values for a characteristic info-object "X".
4. Create BO Universe on SAP BI Query
5. Create Webi on BO Universe
6. Create a Prompt on the characteristic info-object "X".
7. Check List of Values for the characteristic info-object "X" in SAP
BI Query and WebI.
8. LOVs in WebI are equal to the values used for restriction in the
restricted key figure.
9. Delete the restricted key figure from SAP BI Query.
10. Refresh Universe
11. Webi prompt shows all the values for the prompt on "X".

SAP Query and infoset rename

Is it possible to rename sap query and infoset at a same time instead of changing one by one.?

Dear Sathya,
SAP does not allow you to rename SAP Query & Info set at a same time.
Note:
The system has to lock the following objects before you are able to use the Rename SAP Info set function:
User group catalog
Info Set catalog
Query catalogs for user groups to which the Info Set that you are renaming is assigned,
Queries using this Info Set
Once all these locks have been set, the system can carry out the function.
Renaming an Info Set can, however, be very time-consuming. These locks may also prevent other users from working in the system for as long as it takes to rename the Info Set.

Query using Infoset (NW04s)

I have an infoset based on a CUBE & DSO. I create a query on Infoset. The query uses 0GL_ACCOUNT and uses a hierarchy. In the query result, there are instances where the a G/L account amount does not roll up to the associated hierarchy node.
Example
GL Node 1 -
$0.00
GL Acct----
$500.00
I don't get this problem when I run a similar query on CUBE.

There will be two querry areas, check in which area you have created Infoset and user group. You will find the combination in relevant query area only.
Two area are
Standard Area (Client-specific)
Global Area (Cross-client)

I have query and infoset that it save in client specific , if i want to transfer them into the Q.A system
Which i must to save them to global area ? if yes , how can i to change area of query and infoset from client specific to global area without create them from the beginning ?

No relationships of any sort can exist between objects from different query areas
You have to create the same query from beginning in Global area and then transport it as follows :
1. By using the standard program u2018RSAQR3TRu2019
2. By using the transport option available on the application bar in Transactions SQ02 or SQ03.
Note : Order of transport should be :
                 User Group transport
                 Infoset transport
                 Queries transport

How I create query from infoset ???

Case 1 : I cannot create query from infoset
Case 2 : I cannot create query from multiprovider that is created from infoset
When I create multiprovider from infoset , I open query designer from this multiprovider... I received error message from query designer as below...

Currency Translation in Query on InfoSet

Hi Experts,
I need to do a currency conversion from 0LOC_CURRENCY to USD on an Infoset. The Data flow is DSOs --> Infoset --> Multiprovider --> Query. I want to do this Translation on Posting date which is in my DSO, Infoset and Multiprovider. I have created custom Translation Type on Postind date (with Exchange Rate Type = M, Fixed Target Currency = USD, Time Reference as Special Infoobject = 0PSTNG_DATE in RSCUR) in RSCUR but in the Query, I cannot see this custom conversion type available, as in report the infoobject 0PSTNG_DATE is available as '<Infoset Name>__FXX' .
Is there any paricular setting need to be done on an infoset to incorporate Currency Translation on Query ? Also, if there is any other procedure available for Infoset Currency Translation, please let me know.

As I want to do my currency translation on an Infoset the infoobjects do not appear in traditional format. 0PSTING_DATE has taken a name '<Infoset Name>__FXX' (like ZISCURTR__F24). How can I put this reference in RSCUR 'Time Ref' tab in Infoset option over there ? It gives only a F4 help option (donot allow to write something there) and my infoset is not available in the list. Is there any particular setting that I can do in my infoset to make that available in RSCUR F4 help ?

Errors While creating a query on Infoset in NW2004s system

I am getting following errors when we attempt creating a query with an Infoprovider of type INFOSET..
system error in program CL_RSR and form GET_COB_PRO-02
program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : Uncaught_exception.

If you use a characteristic that supports master data in an info set and you define a key date derivation type for this characteristic, the following termination may occur when you activate the InfoSet:
UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION in class CL_RSR, method GET_COB_PRO
Other terms
rsiset, key date derivation of characteristics type, cl_rsq_iset_vers, check_tmon_conditions
Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a delivery error/program error.

Creation of Query using Infoset

Hi everyone i have a problem with assignment of user goups to infoset in writing a query for generating own report. first i created user group, next infoset and later while creating query when the user group is selected the infoset which i created and assigned to user group is not showing in dialog box. it's showing something else. i have checked all the assignments so far everything is good but couldn't figure out. can one help in this? tks in adv.

Key date not work in query on infoset

hi experts,
i have a infoset, which includes a time-dependent infoobject eg.0employee and an ods eg. ods1
i set the ods time-dependent by setting from ods1-field1 to ods2-field2, and link the 0employee to ods1.
then i create a query on the infoset and set a key date in the query, eg20061231.
but the query result goes wrong, the key date doesn't work, the result shows below:
employ1 1000.12.31-2008.01.01 $123 (this record is right,because i want the key date to be 20061232)
employ1 2008.01.02-9999.12.31 $123 (but this record should not be displayed)
i haven't set any field in infoset to be key date, just set the "from" and "to".

DUMP in SAPDBEQI when executing a Query with InfoSet = EQI

Hi experts,
I made a Query that contains an Infoset, with the logical database EQI. When I execute the query it shows the following DUMP:
Runtime Errors = SAPSQL_AMBIGUOUS_FIELDNAME
Except. = CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS
Maybe is an error? I think it is, but searching for a SAP Note I don't find anyone.
What I could see is that the system is executing an extra validation, with this authority check:
* additional authority checks via BAdI
PERFORM authoritycheck_diaufk_badi_f01 USING diaufk 'IE07'.
This function is encapsulated on the include "DBAFIF01".
I am executing the SAP Query on version ECC 6.0.
