can any one please explain what is the use of infotype 589--->Individual reimbursements in indian payroll.

Individual reimbursement for the employees.
If you maintain the Reimbursement separtly and tax purpose. you can you this infotye.
For example Business promotion. This is the Reimbursement. If it is the taxable wage type you can use this one.

Is it worth using select query on infotype tables

Hi Experts,
I might be posting in the wrong column, but i just need to know is it worth using a select query on Infotype tables (PAxxxx)?? or should we prefer using the function modules for data fetching?
If select is not suggested, what is the reason for that?

Its not said that u cant write select on PAXXXX tables . Yes of couse LDB are there to fetch the data but it depends on
the requirement when to write a select and when to consider using in LDB .
Generally when you are looking at say 8 to 10 tables of infotypes with free selection , then LDB is suggested to fetch the data .
if you are looking to fetch the data for say some tables for a restricted selection (where clause) then select is used .
If i want to write a program using select only then fetching data from infotypes tables for large no of records will lead to
more time consumption which becomes easier in LDB as they are fetched in hierarchy level based on keys .
Normally it will be a combination of LDB and select querys in the development scenario

Regarding Modifications in Infotype 589

Hi,
I have a requirement that , our function guys want the infotype 589 shud be populated with default values when creating new record based on wage type. But how can i capture the data like which wage type is entered by end user ? i have used Exit PBAS0001 but the thing is i am unable to get the table control data .. can any tell me how to capture the data in table control in the infotype 589 and capture from user exit...

Hi,
You don't need a development for this. It can be enhanced/customized using PM01 tcode. Use Infotype Characteristics button and choose infotype "0589" there are customizing options to change behaviour of selection fields(So you can make this field editable if it is not a problem from functional perspective). If this don't solve your issue try to check other options in TCODE pm01.

Query in infotype 2001(Absenses) and 2005(Overtime)

Dear Freinds,
I have one query in infotype 2001(Absenses) when iam entering the the absence hours as 2 hours it is defaulting the start date time (beguz) 9.00 and end time (enduz) 11.00 ....which my user is not accepting ......they wantedn it to act like the overtime (2005) it is deducting the end of the time 18.00 (6.00p.m) as the Beguz as 18.00 pm and Enduz as 20.00 pm..........i would like to know can we change for the 2001 also in this way .......by using the concept of 2005 in the user exit EXIT_SAPFP50M_002 or in the BADI BAdI HRPAD00INFTY , however i am unable to change , could any one please let me know if you has implemented please let me know .

i don; think we can modify IT2001, since we have IT2005 to enter Overtime.
It is better to use IT2005 for overtime. One more thing here, how can we treat absence hours as Ovetime hours?

Hi,
Create a custom function to do that.
1. Go to t-code PE04, input function name and create
2. Define country assignment and input/output parameters, if your function need access parameter(e.g function with PCR, p0014 xxxx), also define parameter list and values.
3. Save and activate your function.
4. Check the payroll driver again and will tell you form FU_XXXX is missing, then create a include program with form FU_XXXX and implement your function logic.
5. In payroll driver, find the proper location(customer function operation include) to include your program logic.

Query fields infotype 0061

Hi experts!
We need a user query for the infotype 0061. Exactly we need the data of two specific fields: "CAC." and "Co.CA code".
The technical information of this two fields is:
Field CAC.
Table Name: Q0061
Table category: Struct.
Field Name: CCCEE
Data Element: PES_CCCTR
Field Co.CA code
Table Name: Q0061
Table category: Struct.
Field Name: NISSE
Data Element: NISS1
We have an infoset that includes the field "P0061-NISSE", but when we create a query with this infoset and when we select this field it doesn't show the value it seems tha the field is another. Also the other field "CCCEE" doesn't appear in the infoset.
How can I choose in a query this fields? How I should modify the infoset?

Hola Julian,
Could you kindly check if field NISSE of table PA0061 is filled for any record? NISSE population depends on customer configuration.
The infotype screen structure (Q0061) fill field CCCEE dynamically at run time (standard behavior is non-editable) according to ENISS feature configuration.
CCC value is granted according to personal structure at company level.
If you need to query this field in an infoset then talk to your abaper so to add some logic in field output:
*      form fill_CCCEE
form fill_CCCEE.
* Si el campo Q0061-CCCEE es no editable lo llenamos con una propuesta.
* Y si es editable pasamos el valor de P0061-nisse.

HR ABAP Query - Simulated infotypes 2501 and 2502

Dear all,
I am developing a report based on Simulated infotypes 2502 (Quota Statuses) and 2501 (Employee Time and Labor).
Since my report provides an overview of all the reporting quota types and reporting time type to the end-user, I need to extract data from both the infotypes ( 2501 & 2502 ) simultaneously.
I created a report with (Logical Data Base) LDB PNP and the HR report category is also set as required. In other words the attributes is set as same as in standard report (RPTBAL00).
In the declaration part of the program I mentioned the source code as.

Here my problem is when I execute the report for multiple employees data from simulated Infotype 2501 is deriving wrongly. The data for the first employee will always correct. From the second employee onwards date fields BEGDA and ENDDA will be 00000000. After a detailed debugging (setting break point at GET PERNR statement) I found that the problem is occurring only with Infotype 2501 values and not with Infotype data 2502.
I also note that this will happen only when I use both 2501 and 2502 at same time in the declaration part

Question is How to correct this date field values obtained through GET PERNR for Infotype 2501 when using both infotypes 2501 and 2502 simultaneously.

II.     Time evaluation should be run for at least one time to transfer data to simulated infotypes.
III.     Persons with less understanding of SAP HCM may have to take help of a functional consultant.

Query regarding Infotype maintain text

Since I am totally new to HR I would like to know the expert opinion from you guys.
Suppose for pers.no - 1000, I have Infotype 0019 having various task-types - Z3, Z6, Z5. Is it possible using following methods below to insert the texts only for task type Z6 ???
Also, would the statements below work for records where NO TEXT WAS MAINTAINED AT ALL. My observation is that records with text maintained previously are only updated others are not...any reasons why so ??? Please reply back.
Method 1 - EXPORT ptext TO DATABASE pcl1(tx) ID tx-key.
Method 2 - RP-EXP-C1-TX.PERFORM PREPARE_UPDATE USING 'V'.

My opinion is as below.
1. You can do this by ABAP coding. You can check the key where you have subtype also. Write a simple 'IF' statement & skip the record for other subtypes.
For e.g if key-subtype eq 'Z6'
EXPORT ptext TO DATABASE pcl1(tx) ID key.
endif.
2. I also tried the same program, for me also if text already exists, then the program is inserting values in the text. Till now I also did found why this is happening.Will let you know if I get the answer.

Portal Query: Enhancing infotype 77(Additional person) with screen control

Here is an interesting one. I am on EP7 and we have a customized infotype 77 development. The population of one of the infotype fields dictates the appearance of sub screens and other fields in the backend.
When i use the web dynpro iview and select edit enhanced fields, i see all the options and can see all the bespoke fields added in R3. However this is not what we need, we want the decision of which fields to appear decided dynamically the way it happens in the backend.
The other option I have is to use PZ56 as sapgui for html, but there is no function group for additional personal info in V_T588M_ESS.
Hence I am stuck, any suggestions or inputs will be granted points.

Adhoc query - length of service fields

Hi all,
I have question regarding the length of service fields in adhoc query (Actions infotype data fields PNP database).
When I select these fields I get different results according to reporting period; if i select a keydate then the service is calculated according to this date, but if I select a reporting period, then the service is calculated according to the start date of the reporting period.
Is this expected behaviour? Please let me know how this can be coded to reference the end date of the reporting period.

Infotype 0023 Other/Previous Employer

Good Day Experts
I have an important query regarding Infotype 0023 - Other/Previous Employer in Adhoc query [S_PH0_48000510].
When i try to generate the data in IT0023 using Adhoc i cannot generate the data. But if you check all the empoyee
in PA20 they all have Previous Employer Data in IT0023, this is in SAP Production. But when i test adhoc in SAP QA and Dev it is working properly i can generate the data...

Infotype 23 is often special in the way that begda/endda is previous to employee's hiredate. To be able to see these data in ad hoc query, you need to set a switch in the infoset.This is done under 'Extras' and the tab 'Coding' for the entire infoset.
The switch should be as follows
*$HR$ [P0023]
*$HR$ TIME_DEPENDENCE = 'INDEPENDENT'
Note that the * should be there, it is not a comment.
Square brackets should be around P0023 (doesn't show up in thie post)
In addition, you need to ask for period 'All'

I have one query from Infotype 0017 (Travel management). How to edit or select the indicator Trip Assigned under Employee has trips in Infotype 0017 as my user was able to select this before but now not.

Hello Esha,
The report RPRFLDEL reset the status of field 'has trips assigned' IT017. It will be make the field "blank". When you create a trip for a personnel number for the first time it will marked the field 'has trips assigned' in IT0017 automatically.
To reset this field the report RPRFLDEL is executed.

I am trying to write a PCR to Generate the Maternity Leave Quota, for that i would like to Query the Fields of 0080 Infotypes but am not able to find any Operation or Function to Query 0080 infotype,
could any one plz let me know if there is any Function or Operation to Query 0080 info-type fields with out generating Custom Functions or Custom Operations.
