Query on STRIP Using DISKUTIL and Data Safty Issues

Here is an interesting (probably DUMB) question based on my current RAID config:
7x500GB (RAID5 - one hdd can go down and no issue) = Vol#1
7x500GB (RAID5 - one hdd can go down and no issue) = Vol#2
The above using Diskutil I have made on STRIP Vol#1+Vol#2 = RAID50.
From the above what are my chances of loosing data based on following three senarios:
1. what if one of the controller fails, will I still see the entire volume
2. what if one of the controller fails, will I loose everything on RAID50 (STRIP)?
3. what if one of the controller fails, I replace the controller with a new one, will I get my data back?
Please advice the above?

You will lose access to the entire volume. The data will be intact but you cannot access the volume (on either controller) until the failed controller is replaced.

No. Your data will be intact. You just can't access it.

Yes. The replacement controller can read the RAID configuration from the drives. Replacing the failed controller will restore access to your volume.
Just for the record I have over a dozen XServe RAIDs (including one of the very first revisions using 180GB drives) all working 24/7 in a production network and have never lost a controller, power supply, or any other component other than one (or maybe two) failed disks. In my experience the failure rate is very low.

Hi Kevin,
1. Well by default all the KF that you include in your query go into a Key Figure Structure. You can additionally have another structure for defining how your chars are laid out. A common example is a Calmonth structure where you have selections for 12 months, quarers and YTD values. This would be a char structure with different selections (for each month, qtr etc)
2. Yes, a selection with a KF is the same as restricting a KF. You can use am RKF is you have one on the left hand side, or if you need to do this locally in the query, right click the structure and choose New Selection, then proceed to choose your KF and reqd char values.

CAML Query help using recursiveall and date filter together

Please let me know what is wrong with the query below,

Per my understanding, you might want to use “RecursiveAll” with date filter in your CAML query statement.
I suggest you take the code demo below which writes in Server Object Model for a try in your environment to see if it can work for you:

Query Service - Filters using "IN" and "*" (asterisk)

Hi All,
Is there any way to use "IN" and "*" (asterisk of a regular expression) in a filter to be used in query services?
In other words:
1) How to create a query using a selection-options as it is done in SELECT statement
2) How to use regular expressions in a query (use of a asterisk)?

Yes, data used over 3G counts as data against your allowance.

How do you use voice and data at same time?

If you're with Verizon, you can only do this in a wifi area.
The simplest way is to tap the home button and then tap the icon of what you want to do. You'll either have to use speakerphone or an earpiece in order to see the screen .

I am unable to setup my 2011 Macbook Air as Wifi Hotspot. Tried both using LAN and Data Card(USB dongle)

Yes, I have updated to version 33, Now the problem is not as random as it was before. I found that I have absolutely no issues when I use FF for the first time after starting my computer. At this point there is no issue at all I can watch videos when both logged-in/logged-out and also they work perectly if I switch between flash and HTML5.
But as soon as I restart Firefox I cannot watch the videos at all. No matter if I am logged in/logged out, I did try HTML5 but still it didn't work. The error message was same in all the cases "An error occurred, please try again later".
We are secured by "Cyberoam" so I don't have access to proxy sites.
By the way these observations are for Windows 7.

Using Time and Date to create calender events

Hi all,
I want to create 'events' in a users calender through my apex app. To get just the date seems fine, but ideally I want to store both the Date and time of the event.
I have a data entry page that has 2 calender items(one item is a date picker, the other item is a modified datepicker that only displays time).
My idea is to somehow concatenate the 2 values together and insert those into one date column.
I was wondering if anyone has a elegant solution to this, surely I cant be the first person to come across this?

I've tried creating a procedure that to_chars the two date items then concatenates them and to_dates them into the final date item, but this doesnt seem to be working very nicely....

You have to follow the flow from the billing document to the material document. This will only work if the billing document comes from a delivery note.
Billing document => Delivery
LIPS-VBELN = VBRP-VGBEL
and LIPS-POSNR-VBRP-VGPOS
So you have LIPS + LIKP with the LIKP-WADAT_IST as the goods issue date.
Delivery => Material Document Number
You can use the table VBFA with the delivery item as the preceding document number (VBFA-VBELV) and item (VBFA-POSNV) ; you will also have to define the preceding document type as J (delivery) and the document category of subsequent document as R (material document).
Because in SAP nothing is simple, there might more than one material document, because the goods issue (601) movement might have been canceled and issue again. So you will have to decide what to do in that case.

Sap function used in crystal- date parameter issue

have a function developed in sap and it is using date parameters in the function
i can run the function in sap and retrieve records
when i create a report from the function and create my date parameter to use in the record selection
and i enter my parameter values to run the report, it doenst retrieve any records
i have hardcoded dates
i am using this in the record selection
if hasvalue({?Run Date}) then {?Run Date} else currentdate
any ideas?

Actually, what are you returning? In your record selection, what date are you trying to filter? Set your formula equal to whatever you want to return in the report:
if (not hasvalue({?Run Date})) then REPORT FIELD = currentdate else REPORT FIELD = {?Run Date}

Does moving sites using Content and Structure cause issues in SQL content db's?

I would like to be able to use "manage content and structure" to move sub-sites within a site collection (SharePoint 2010). For example I have a site that is right under my top level site and I would like to move it to be the child site of one of
its' current peers.
There is some concern from admins that this creates a mess in the content DB, therefore all moves should be done using powershell export/import.
Can anyone tell me, technically, what happens when we use the move command in "content and structure" within a site collection and if there are known issues with it?

It doesnot hamper Content DB, all changes are made within the Site Collection Content Database.
using Manage content and structure has benefits, like UI based content restructuring, no support required from Farm Admin. However if you feel to use PowerShell you could still go for it.
Enable developer dashboard, to see what happens in the backgroud while using Manage Content and Structure.

In above ocnfig, the port is configured as trunk and hence it can carry multiple vlan traffic on swithcport. As IP phones will have inbuilt switch which runs DTP by default and CDP to reciognize the conencted devcies. I am not sure how this config works as even it's configured as trunk the DTP negotiation is disabled and how phone switch can differentiate the voice frames and data frames. Please explain in loigcal as it's known that as we have confgiured vlan 10 as native and vocie vlan 16 as trunk it carries the voice traffic.

1. First question:

This is the ideal way to configure and in all latest IOS Switches and in latest ISR routers, we do this as the command "switch port voice vlan" command says to switch port that it carries the voice traffic as tagged and PC as untagged.
As we all know the default switch port of a switch will be either Dynamic auto or Dynamic Desirable which means DTP is on and in turn it means negotiation of trunking is ON. This is as per my understanding.
The Sub-Questions for 1st Question are below:
1 Does the trunk negotiation happen between Access Switch switch port and Mini 3 Port Switch within the IP Phone. If mini switch in IP PHone negotiates to form trunk based on DTP then what’s the default switch port mode of mini switch in the IP Phone.
2. As in above config we are no where mentioning the port to be trunk. But it’s still allowing multiple vlan’s traffic to carry on access port. The switchport mode is access when you do “ sh int fa 0/1 swithcport.”. Is it the swithcport voice vlan command does the magic?
