Query regarding Purchase Org assignment

Hi All ,
I have a understanding that PORG assignment to PLANT is ALWAYS MANDATORY to create a purchase order in that plant but assignment of PORG to Company code is not mandatory ( as in case of Company group wide PORG i.e centralized PORG).
Is that correct ?
Also is there any way to create a Purchase Order without PLANT ( suppose if I make PLANT field optional in PO screen) , what could be the impact ?
regards
Shrey

You assign PORG to Plant and Plant is assigned to Company Code, so it is automatically assigned to the company code through plant

Why do you want to create Purchase Order without Plant. How will you track which plant will receive the material and where the material needs to be placed.

  • Regarding Purchase Org at plant and company code level

    Hi MM Gurus,
I am supposed to prepare an organizational structure,
The procurement of raw materials is done centrally at corporate level,
and other nonstock items are done decentrally at plant level.
Is there a way we can design the organizational structure, based on material type.
How to define a purchase org for different material.

    Hi,
Purchase Organisations can be based on material type.
purchasing org is where negotiations & vendor finalisation is done by the procurement team. this purchasing org is responsible for all material types.
you have decentralised policy of procurement. raw material is managed at corporate level, centrally. and non-stockable, fast moving items are managed at plant level.
You can have a individual purchasing org for each plant and assign it to them. a central purchasing would be assigned to all plants. You can keep the central purchasing org as reference purchasing org.
when you want that the prices fixed by central pur org should be applicable to all plants, then you need to create contract (OLA) in reference pur org. this contract is applicable to other plants by default.
    Hope this answers your query.

  • Purchasing org assignment

    Hello Friends,
I'm trying to assign Purchas Org to the plant of other Co Cd. But I'm not getting that plant in drop. Is it that we can not assign Purchas Org to the plant of other Co Cd? I think we can.
    Thanks.

    hi
u can asign P. Organization for 3 scenario
    1) Plant specific- assign P org to company code and only one plant in that company code
    2) cross plant - can assign P org to company code and all plants in that company code
3)Cross company- only assign  P org to plants o diff company codes
means in ur case if ur doing Cross company purchase u can assign P org. to any plant of any company code without assigning same to any company code

  • Query regarding Purchase Order Lines stored in database?

    Hi Friends,
While i extract Purchase Order details ,i found that in demo database, some Purchase order lines are stored in seperate entries in POR1..
eg: if <b>21</b> A00001 is ordered, then the purchase Order line for 20 item is stored in a row and purchase order for 1 item of that same item 'A00001' is stored in a seperate row in POR1..
In wht criteria SAP B1 take it as a seperate row for a single item order while storing in POR1--Purchse Order Lines
    Thanks in Advance
    regards
    Sooriyakala.P

    Hi,
Could be that 20 items come from a Sales Order (and line), and 1 from another one? If isn´t this data, could be any diffent one.
Then in the SBO GUI there is a field in the left botton of the item matrix called "summary type" (or something similar, I´m translating). Here you can say to summ all the items in one row, or not to make any summary.

  • Regarding Org assignment record create/delete

    Hi All,
I have created a postion and assigned a holder , as i have doen mistake in period creation i have deleated that position , and created a new postionand holder with correct period.
but in org assignment infoype 0001 these old and new record got saved. Is there any possibility to deleate thsi record.
    Regards

    Hi
Do remember that whenever an OBJECT ID start date is wrong, try to correct it with the program. RE_RHBEGDA0. This will correct the start date of the OBJECT IDs.
I think, the new record is in 0001 - Organisational Assignment.
    1) Try to delete the first record, then go to delete the wrong entry record.
    2) Try to change the first record with the date of the wrong entry date, so that it will get delimited.

  • Assigning Purchase groups to plants or Purchase Org

    Hi
Can the purchase groups be assigned to plants or purchase organisation? Or we can use the authorisation managment to restrict the user of one group in one plant to use purchase group of another plant?
    Regards

    Hi,
You can not link Purchase Groups directly to Plant or Purchase Org.
    You can use following authorisation objects to restrict the Purchase Groups;
M_BANF_EKG - Purchasing Group in Purchase Requisition
M_ANFR_EKG - Purchasing Group in RFQ
M_BEST_EKG - Purchasing Group in Purchase Order
M_RAHM_EKG - Purchasing Group in Outline Agreement

    We have two company code ( A & B ) assigned to a single Purchase Org .

The plant you have entered does not belong to the company code that was
    determined via the purchasing organization.
Any suggestion please. we assigned all the plants to the Purchase Org .
    Thanks
    JJ

    Hi,
While creating STO you are entering the plant.
Please check whether that Plant is assigned to the Company code A Error message clearly tells you have assigned the Plant to the company code A

  • BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BAdI:Purchase Grp & Purchase Org. are not getting changed

    Hi Experts ,
    Actual  Process:
As per the normal process when Purchase requisiton is created in ECC then  it will get reflected to SRM through BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER.So while SRM creating that it will assign some deflaut purchase group and organisation .
    Requirement given by user:
But user requires the actual purchase org and purchase group to be determined from back end i.e.ECC and reflect the changes in SRM  .So we have tried implementing the BADI ->Method:( BBP_PGRP_ASSIGN_BAdI->BBP_SC_PGRP_ASSIGN) using filter option EXTREQ_INB.
Now after implementation when we debug the badi the values are getting updated coorectly in the Change attriutes of Badi .
After the badi execution finished will Org values are not getting modified .So on further anlyses we found that in   CT_ITEM(Shopping Cart Item details) the value EB_LOG_SYSTEM  is showing as SRMCLIENT300(SRM System ID) but when we manually changed that to EBD220(ECC system ID) the data is getting updated correctly in SRM .
As per my understanding the back end system for SRM is ECC sytem id .But here it is capturing SRM system id.
So I want to know how the standard will capture the logical system  as SRM ..instead EBD ..?
    Regards
    Phani.

    Hi Sanjeev,
Backend purchase group is on under Act ECS.
Here the main issue is - Users placed under backend purchase group (org -model) However when we trying to  create ECS PO in SRM , noticed that system is picking local purchase group  . Hence not replicating to backend system.
I hope BADI should be enabled (BBPPGRPFIND) - could you please through some light on this ,how to proceed with this BADI?
    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Experts, a question about authorisation of purchase org? thanks!

    Hi Experts,
I have a selection screen with three parameters, one is purchasing group, second is the plant and the third is purchasing org, purchasing org is mandatory and it needs to be authorized for the logon user, how can I handle this? and Purchasing group (T024), plant (T001W) and purchasing organisation (T024E) are checked for validation. what does this mean? what is the relationship of these three fields? can anyone have an idea of it? thanks in advance!
    Kind regards
    Dawson

this can be done in following steps
    Create Authorization Field
    Transaction u2013 SU20
    Then go to
    Create Authorization Class & Object
    Transaction u2013 SU21
    Create Role, Profile & Authorization
    Transaction u2013 PFCG
    Assign Role to User
    Transaction u2013 SU01

  • Help purchasing org, plants & company codes

    Hi Gurus,
I have the following scenario which need some advice and clarification from all of you.
Plant A is assigned to company code A
Plant B is assigned to company code B
*Note that company code A and company code B are using different currency
PO is to be raised out of company code A and deliver to plant B. That is the Bill to address is to company code A and delivery address will be plant B address.
I tried assigned both plants to the same purchasing org A, and input company code A in company code field and plant B in the plant field as PO data. And encounter the following error "Please only use plants with local currency XXX" where XXX currency is the currency used by company code A.
Is this method incorrect? If yes, can someone advise me the right approach to handle such purchasing scenario?
    Thanks.
    New@SAP

    Hi Jürgen L,
the reason why they get company code A to pay for the plant B purchase is because company code A acts as a regional headquarters, sometimes it could be cheaper to procure in the country of company code A due to the tax issues. Hence, plant B is getting company code A to purchase on their behalf.

  • Std. purchase org.

How to create Standred purch. Org. (all path) ??
and  What is the use of Standred purchase org.  ????
    Regards
    Sanjay

    Hi,
    In addition to above......
Path in SPRO> Enterprise Strucure> Definition>MM>Maintain Purchase Organisation.
Purchase Organisation is Responsible for all activities of Puchasing.
    Possible organizational forms
You can organize your purchasing function in the following ways:
    Corporate-group-wide purchasing
    Company-specific purchasing
    Plant-specific purchasing
All of these forms can co-exist within a single client.
    Corporate-group-wide purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of different company codes.
In this case, you do not assign a company code to the purchasing organization, but specify the company code concerned for each individual purchasing transaction. You assign plants from different company codes to the purchasing organization.
    Company-specific purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of just one company code.
In this case, you assign a company code to the purchasing organization. The purchasing organization may procure only for this company code. You assign only plants of the company code concerned to the purchasing organization.
    Plant-specific purchasing:
A purchasing organization is responsible for the purchasing activities of one plant.
In this case, you assign the plant and the company code of the plant to the purchasing organization. The purchasing organization may procure for this plant only.
