Query related to OAM protected resource error
Hi All,
I am working on OAM 10g. In that when a User tries to access a protected page and he tries to login with invalid credentials the url is appended by default with the OAM error message which looks like %3DErrNoUser% or %3DErrWrongPassword% based on whether it is invalid username or a invalid password respectively but not the error message from the webgate.xml file. Is it possible to modify these messages so that we cannot make out if its the username that is invalid or the password? Can some one please help me out to close this possible security issue?
Thanks,

Need help in reporting of protected resources in web application
Hi,
I am using form based authentication for viewing protected resources of my web application. By j_security_check, it authenticates the user and if authentication is successful, then user can view protected resources of the site.
Now I want to generate a report of which protected resources are accessed by which user along with its timestamp.
Now my question is can I generate this report by j_security_check. I am not sure how should I call my ReportingDAO from web tier as with j_security_check the whole authentication is done by container itself.
ThanksThis is what I have done for form based authentication...

I don't know why my LoginFilter is not called? Filter gets called only when I change url-pattern of LoginFilter to /pdfs/* (i.e., same as the url patter n of the protected resource)
Can anyone please help me in this regard

[OAM] Customize System Error Page
Hi all,
we have a protected resource with an already implemented custom login form. This login form is not the one in the war, but an external (an static HTML).
We also need to customize the System Error page (blue screen) that is thrown when an server error occurs. I am following the OAM documentation but it seems confusing with my scenario here. It says to open the oamcustompages.war, modify the servererror.jsp file and re-deploy it. But then, documentation establish to configure "customWar" in the context of the authentication screen. I can't do this because I would loose the login page (and this is mantained by an external development team so this is not an option).
The customer wants to modify the blue screen not only for changing the look and feel, but also for catching error and perhaps make redirections (at now, the instruction is to know how to change that page).
Any help?Hi Matt,
I think the page you are being redirected to is servererror.jsp, which is deployed within oam-server.ear, within its own ngsso-web.war application. You could deploy your own version of this. I assume you could also modify the ErrorPage setting in oam-config.xml to define your own page, though I have not tested this. This would be a customisation, so you would be responsible for the system behaviour when doing this.

KumarHi Florent,
1. For the first error "The name has already been shared":
I recommend you can use the the cmdlet "Get-SMBShare" to list all share folders firstly before creating a new share, and check if there is share named "$unit" on remote server.
2. For the second error "The requested object could not be found":
According to your script, you want to creat a new share on remote computer, then add this share folder to the new created namespace on file server, please try the script below:
New-DfsnRoot -Type DomainV2 -TargetPath "\\$newDestServer\$unit" -Path "\\$RootNameSpace\$unit" -EnableSiteCosting $true
New-DfsnFolder -Path "\\$RootNameSpace\$unit\$site" -TargetPath "\\$newDestServer\$unit"
If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.

HTTP 403 when trying to access a protected resource
I'm setting up a very simple enviornment to test the basic functionalities of Access Manager 7.1 but I keep on getting an "HTTP 403 forbidden" error when trying to access a protected resouce. I think I've set the required policies, rules, etc., but still, I may have missed a step. Any ideas / advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Here's my setup and steps I took.
iamsys05.iamtest.com ¡V policy server, Access Manager 7.1 Update 1
iamsys06.iamtest.com ¡V protected resource, Apache 2.2.8 web server
On Policy Server (iamsys05):
1. Created ¡§Apache Policy 1¡¨ on top-level realm.
2. Under Apache Policy 1, created rule ¡§apache root¡¨ with service type = URL Policy agent and resource name: http://iamsys06.iamtest.com:8080/*
3. Under Apache Policy 1, created subjects ¡§all users¡¨ with type=Acess Manager Identity Subject and selected all users under the realm. One of these users is amAdmin.
4. Created agent profile user ¡§webagent¡¨ on top-level realm (amserver) [amserver ³ Subjects ³ Agent ].
5. Created user ¡§webagent¡¨ on top-level realm [amserver ³ Subjects ³ User].
6. Created role ¡§webagentrole¡¨ on top-level realm [amserver ³ Subjects ³ Role].
7. Assigned user ¡§webagent¡¨ to role ¡§webagentrole¡¨.
8. Set the privileges for webagentrole to ¡§Read and write access to all realm and policy properties¡¨
9. Added the webagent user account to com.sun.identity.authentication.special.users in AMConfig.properties file.
com.sun.identity.authentication.special.users=
cn=dsameuser,ou=DSAME Users,dc=sun, dc=com|cn=amService-UrlAccessAgent,ou=DSAME Users,dc=sun,dc=com |uid=dmgr,ou=people,dc=sun,dc=com|uid=webagent,ou=People,dc=amserver,dc=com
10. Restarted amserver application.
On Protected Resource (iamsys06):
1. Installed Apache 2.2.8 web server and set listening port to 8080. Tested by opening http://iamsys06.iamtest.com:8080. Home page displayed (It works!)
2. Installed Policy Agent for Apache 2.2.
3. Restarted apache 2.2 web server
4. Opened http://iamsys06.iamtest.com:8080.
5. Browser redirected to http://iamsys05:9080/amserver/UI/Login?goto=http%3A%2F%2Fiamsys06.iamtest.com%3A8080%2F
6. Access Manager login page displayed
7. Entered a valid ID and password (amadmin). This is the Access manager admin account I use to login to the AM Admin console so I know the id and password are valid. Hit Login.
8. After about 30 seconds, browser is redirected to http://iamsys05:9080/amserver/UI/Login?AMAuthCookie=AQIC5wM2LY4SfcyNiM%2B36w9DDhY5NmKc2PF6%2Fx4x2%2FUJ18M%3D%40AAJTSQACMDE%3D%23. Brwser displays "HTTP 403 Forbidden. This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage." I get this with IE6.
9. Using Firefox, I get a ¡§Redirect Loop¡¨ error message ¡§Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.¡¨
Thanks
-ArmandInstalled tamper data and from what I can tell, the requests go back and forth between AM server and protected resource. Here's the Request Graph output.

Query relating to the creation of Managed Service Accounts
Hi Folks
I am studying for my 70-411 exam and have a query relating to the creation of Managed Service Accounts.
I have successfully created an MSA account named 'MSATest' on a DC using:
new-adserviceaccount -name msatest –dnshostname home-dc-01 -passthru
and
add-AdcomputerServiceAccount -identity home-ap-01 -serviceaccount msatest -passthru
However the guide that I am using now says that I now need to run: Install-ADServiceAccount on the host computer in the domain to install the MSA in order to make available it available for use by services.
So on my member server (home-ap-01) I have installed the Active Directory Module for powershell and ran:
PS C:\Users\administrator.PCECORP> Install-ADServiceAccount -Identity msatest
Install-ADServiceAccount : Cannot install service account. Error Message: 'An
unspecified error has occurred'.
At line:1 char:1
+ Install-ADServiceAccount -Identity msatest
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : WriteError: (msatest:String) [Install-ADServiceA
ccount], ADException
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : InstallADServiceAccount:PerformOperation:Install
ServiceAcccountFailure,Microsoft.ActiveDirectory.Management.Commands.Insta
llADServiceAccount
PS C:\Users\administrator.PCECORP>
However this errors, Have I misunderstood the purpose of the Install-ADServiceAccount ? or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for you help.Try using -RestrictToSingleComputer parameter when creating service account with New-ADServiceAccount.
Gleb.
Hi Gleb
Thank you for your help, it is appreciated. That did the trick.
All the best. -
Query related to workflows mail message text
Hi,
My problem is related to text chosen for Error mail unknown. An Error mail is fired in the workflow, now the text for E-Mail in English is coming correctly, But for FR language it is not seen properly.
Now My query is where this mail text is maintained in Workflows, so that it can be rectified for other language as well.
I have not found any text in notification and In task description.
The text layout of some WF error messages, if the WF is started by a french speaking user.
WF: MAT Plant Sichten anlegen
If it's an english speaking user, the text is the following
9999999 WF-Form 999999 Plant:9999
The work item "99999 WF-Form 999999 Plant:9999" (ID 9999999999) of type
B has the status ERROR.
Initiate a correction measure so that the respective workflow (ID0009999999) can be continued.
Thanks and Regards,
ManojThanks Kiran,
But in this case there is no task to send mail.
In my case, an activity(Task) step is going into error and one of the things performed by the workflow system for this step is to send an SAP office document.
Let me know if you need some more information to help me out.
Regards,
Manoj -
The query against the database caused an error in https: site
Hi
I have created a new Data source and External content type in sharePoint 2013
I have also given all the permission to this Content type (including "Users(Windows)")
I also having edit permission in the Sql-database.
I have tied almost all the possibilities given in the net for this error.
still the error("the query against the database caused an error") is there.
Is this because of "https:/ " in the url?
Can any one give a suggestion / solution for this?
Thanks
S H A J A NHi,

IP Resource Errors While Building a Windows Failover Cluster on Azure
I have setup a failover cluster in Microsoft Azure on four VMs. I have two nodes in one subnet/region, one node in another subnet/region and a final node in a third subnet/region. The cluster passed the validation wizard and was successfully built, but the
two nodes in other subnets will not go online, reporting "Failed to bring the resource 'IP Address x.x.x.x' online".
Azure Vnet Setup
Vnet 1 - South Central US - 10.16.16.0/16 - Nodes 1 & 2 - Online
Vnet 2 - West US - 10.116.16.0/16 - Node 3 - Offline
Vnet 3 - East US - 10.216.16.0/16 - Node 4 - Offline
All three IP Address resources are DHCP. I've attempted to make them static but they still failed while coming online. If I click "Information Details" on the error I get:
Error code: 0x80071397
The operation failed because either the specified cluster node is not the owner of the resource, or the node is not a possible owner of the resource.
It seems to be an issue with the way Azure DHCP works, but I'm stalled. There must be a way to get his working. What am I missing?Hi Michael Lapidakis,
Starting in Windows Server 2008, a feature called an “OR dependency” was added to Failover Clustering which gave admins the ability to have nodes with a Network Name that
could use one IP Address OR another IP Address .In a multisite cluster, it is expected that 1 IP address is offline as it is an OR relationship.
You can refer the following related article to realize more detail settings of multi-site site cluster IP settings.

OAM 11gR1 resource issue.
OAM 11.1.1.5
Webgate: Deny on Not protected is unchecked. So any resource not present in Policy should be accessible.
We have following resource protected :- /ResourceRoot/xml/.../*
OAM is also protecting resources: /ResourceRoot/xmldef/.../*
There might be some bug with regular expression used to match the resource policy, where for /ResourceRoot/xmldef/ is matched to policy /ResourceRoot/xml/ ?Yes its a bug.

Help Please - System Resource Error
I have a demo tomorrow and I need to demo off my machine
(local). I have CF Server version MX7 and I am using MS Access 2003
database SP2 and I have just started to get the attached error. Is
this a CF server error or can anyone tell me how to fix?
The queries all run fine but I get this system resource error
after I try to run the same query twice.
Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
Attach CodeThe error is coming from MS Access, and is merely displayed
from the ColdFusion page request. The Microsoft support site shows
at least one known cause of the error such that queries that have
complex WHERE clauses can encounter this. Although your query seems
rather simple, it seems that you've hit some type of limitation of
the Access database.
See this for more:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918814/en-us
You might want to run the free MySQL database instead of MS

OAM11g - How to perform direct login without accessing protected resource?
Hi,
I think this should be a common requirement as website needs to provide a direct login page.
The OAM Documentation seems focus on the flow of starting from accessing protected resource then redirect to login page.
How can we perform direct login?
I tried from my custom login page directly, but it always gives me *"PolicyEvaluationException: OAMSSA-06191: The runtime request contains no resource"* once the login form submitted.
Anyone can advise? Thanks in advance. Thanks for the reply.
We need to cater for both the scenarios:
Scenario 1: User tries to access a protected page. He/she will be redirected to the login page. Once it is authenticated, he/she will be redirected back to the previously requested protected page
Scenario 2: User clicks the "Login" link on the homepage where the homepage is definitely unprotected. He/she will be redirected to the login page. Once it is authenticated, he/she will be redirected back to homepage.
I have tried to the "Success URL" parameter of the Authentication Policy. However, once "Success URL" is defined, Scenario 1 will NOT work...
Yes. There are some work around solution I can think about.
Example: use a intermediate page 'rediret.jsp' which is defined as the protected resource.
The flow is: clicks the "Login" link on the homepage -> a intermediate page 'rediret.jsp' -> login page -> redirect back to 'rediret.jsp' -> 'rediret.jsp' will redirect user to the Homepage...
But I think Scenario 2 should be very common and it should be a right solution for it. Please advise. Thanks -
No Oracle SSO support for POSTing data to protected resource [yet]
Hi,
I am using OHS infront of JBOSS and redirecting all requests from OHS to JBOSS after SSO Authentication.
Everything works fine except that I get 500 error when I try to post data from HTML form.
When i click on a button on a JSP page that submits page with the Form Post, the request goes to the OHS and is not getting forwarded.
OHS log shows the following
127.0.0.1 - - [11/Sep/2007:08:57:23 -0400] "POST /Sample/protected/standard.do HTTP/1.1" 500 788
Proxy_error.log shows the followin error
[Tue Sep 11 08:57:23 2007] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] [ecid: 1189515443:10.6.2.137:268:5568:74,0] \n[OSSO] E09: No Oracle SSO support for POSTing data to protected resource [yet].\n
Any idea?
Thanks
Srikar. This error does no occur in our dev or test environments, only production. A workaround for us was to disable SSO by commenting the line to load it in the file $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf. The line to comment out looks like: include "/u01/app/oracle/product/mid/Apache/Apache/conf/mod_osso.conf" where the /u01/app... above is the expansion of $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/conf/mod_osso.conf.
We do not use SSO for our application, so this is not a problem. I next plan to try to figure out why this behaves like this, so I can keep all the server configurations consistent.

Mark
