Query:using cutom stylesheet in FPM on SAP Netweaver7.01

Dear All,
I am on SAP NetWeaver 7 Enhancement Pack1. Is it possible to use customize stylesheet for FloorPlanManager using GAF floorplan ?
I am referring the similar article  "Custom themes for WebDynpro ABAP applications without SAP Enterprise Portal integration".
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/7015b1f9-535c-2910-c8b7-e681fe75aaf8
I am following these steps :
a)  I have created a new folder "CustomerThemes" under the Mime Repository Path /SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR.
b)  I have imported a new .CSS file inside the folder using the report BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS  .
c)  For my WebDynproApplication which is using the component FPM_GAF_COMPONENT and interface view as FPM_WINDOW ,
I have maintained two parameters WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET = 'X' and WDTHEMEROOT = 'CustomerThemes".
Still , I am not able to use the customize stylesheet.
For the application parameter WDTHEMEROOT , if I give the value as SAP_CHROME or any other standard SAP stylesheet , I am able to use this stylesheet.
I want to know , is it possible to use the customize stylesheet using FPM . If so, can one please point where am I missing?
regards,
Amit

Hi Thomas ,
I have created a cutom theme using ECLIPSE editor , but when I try to upload the new theme in MIME repository using the report WD_THEMES , I am not able to do so. Instead it displays the  message:
Only non-importable themes found(with wrong version for example).Do you want to view a list of these themes?
For my ECLIPSE editoor , I have used the The Eclipse-based tooling - EclipseThemeEditorVersion2_ReleaseIndependentPlugin.zip
and a sample themes project containing all standard SAP Theme templates - Eclipse_Theme_Editor_version2_Project_File.zip
from SDN.

Amit

    Hi,
    see the link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/af752005c92fe1e10000000a42189d/frameset.htm
if you are running standalone WDA application, then u should not use
    WDFORCEEXTERNALSTYLESHEET = 'X'
when you run on portal then i guess you should upload your custom theme to Portal.

  • ABAP query using logical database KDF is not populating custom fields

    Hi Experts ,
    I created two following queries
    1.       VENDORCATKDF – uses KDF logical database
    2.       VENDORCATLFA1 – uses table = LFA1
I’m pulling the same information in both queries:
    ·         Vendor Number
    ·         Country
    ·         Vendor Name
    ·         Vendor Category  (custom fields added to LFA1)
The results for the query that uses the logical database KDF is incorrect.  It doesn’t pull in the flag on the custom field LFA1-ZMRO.   Even though the logical database KDF is made up of the table LFA1 and has these fields.
Is there something that can be done – so that all of these “custom” category fields under LFA1 (such as LFA1-ZZMRO) – get pulled into queries – when we use the logical database KDF ?

    Hi,
I have got the error removed by ensuring that fields from one table are a part of one line ( taking help of ruler) only. But the underlying problem remains, the output is not ALV but List output.
I do not think having additional fields in the query is reason for this.
Is it bcoz iI am adjusting the output length of columns to ensure no hierarchical error ?
Can we not have a query using LDB which is shown as SAP List?
    Regards,
    Garima.

  • SAP / ABAP Query - using logical database

    Hi ,
We have a mandate to implement SAP Query using only Logical Databases (LDB ) .
We understand that there are several issues using this approach .
1 ) Paralled tables in MM need to be displayed on separate lines .
2 ) Statistics based on fields from 2 different tables cannot be produced eg: EKPO ( PO Number )  and EKKN . (Cost Center )
    Please share your experiences .
    Thank you in advance .
    Kishore
    Kishore

    Adeel,
I do appreciate your experience and respect you for knowledge on SAP Query.
Joining tables seem simple to IT experts but not so for end users.  SAP Query is an end-user tool and users seem to need a simple user-friend, drag-and-drop solution to extract information using SAP Query based on a pre-defined infoset.  Various SAP conferences have been advocating the use of SAP delivered Logical Databses to create infosets in order to harness the various advantages of LDBs.
In MM there are several LDBs (e.g. ELM, EBM etc) to create queries on EKPO and EKKN.  The problem arises when you use the same LDB to extract information from more than the above two tables e.g. EKPO, EKET, EKKN and EKBE.  SAP expects you to display fields on multiple lines and also does not allow producing statistics based on fields from two parallel tables say EKKN and EKBE.  Moreover, multi-line reports cannot be produced in the ALV/SLV format.
We are also looking for best practise solutions in providing SAP Query to MM or FI users based on SAP delivered Logical Databases.

  • SAP QUERY using ASSHR and ASSOB tables

We currently have SAP query that reports on additional payments (Info type 0015).  The user wants to report the cost center held on the cost assignment (Tables ASSOB and ASSHR).
The existing query uses infoset created using PNP logical database.
How do I add or join the ASSOB and ASSHR tables to Info type 0015 to report the cost center?
    Thanks in advance
    Shamshudin

    Hi Sham
You may need to create custom fields in the infoset and create some code to pull out and display details from ASSHR and ASSOB corresponding to the ifnotype record.

  • Bex Query using BICS running fine in Rich client but v. slow in Launchpad

    Hi guys,
At my client client we are using BICS to use Bex Query in Web Intellience, and i created a report that takes less than 10 seconds once run in Rich client but when i create the same Webi report in Launch pad: the list of values take forever to refesh and the report runs for about 30 mins before it displays data..
In both cases it shows data but the time difference is huge.
Kindly direct me on what could be the possible issues considering this case.
    Regards,
    Sheikh

    Hi Sheikh,
There are some known issues with the BICS connectivity and LOV's when retreiving data in BI4.0
This is detailed in the note - 1581323 - BI 4.0 Web Intelligence very slow performance when using BICS
Basically there are some registry changes which need to be made to result in quicker data retreival. The full fix is scheduled for Patch 2.1. It may not be your precise issue but the registry change should help I believe.
Can you test with the registry fix and let me know if this improves matters for you:
    Resolution
The following fix is planned for Patch2.1 (w/c 27th June 2011):
Add 2 new registry entries (string keys) under
For the 32-bit using Rich Client: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\default\WebIntelligence\Calculator]:
            For the 64-bit Web Intelligence:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\default\WebIntelligence\Calculator]
    "BICSLOVChunkSize"="4000"
    "BICSResultChunkSize"="100000"
Note 1: In a specific test case, a value of 4000 yielded good results, reducing fetch time from 20 minutes to under 5 minutes.
    Note 2: Registry key usage:
BICSLOVChunkSize is defined as a string. It help create a chunk of List of Value of maximum the number given. The bigger the number the more likely the retrieval of the list of value will crash. Consider using a value between 100 and 5000. If you have 1000 values in your database and you set the BICSLOVChunkSize to 200. Then you will see a hierarchical view of 5 groups having eah 200 list of value.
BICSResultChunkSize is defined as a string. It limits the number of results that can be retrieved as a List of Value. If you have a List of Value which contains 1 Millions values and set the BICSResultChunkSize to 1000 than only the first 1000 rows will be retrieved. Therefore you will get a partial result set for the list of value.
    Parallel correction for interoperability:
A parallel fix has been delivered via component BW-BEX-OT-BICS by way of a correction attached to Note 1593802.
    Workaround:
Set all the values of column u201COrder for F4 Helpu201D to 0 (zero) in BW Transaction RSD1 so that the attributes are not retrieved.
-> List of members are now displayed in 20 seconds.
I hope this is a very helpful answer to you.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • How do I...Mimic Replacement Path with Query using Customer Variable Exits?

    Hello SDN:
We are on BW 3.5 SP16.
We are currently using a replacement path Query(RP) with variables
to populate a variable in another Query(T).
The problem we are having is with performance.
The entry of variables in replacement path Query(RP) is optional (This is necessary there cannot be required values)
When results from Replacement Path Query are small performance is fine. (e.g. 10 seconds)
When results from Replacement path query are large performance suffers. (e.g. 1+ minutes)
Users are free to leave the replacement path variables empty resulting in a large set of data to be replaced. This is the worst performance case.
We would like to discover a way to conditionally execute the replacement path query. That is if users do not enter values for the replacement Query(RP) variables do not execute the replacement path query(RP).
Does anyone know if this is possible within reason and in customer exit space?
We have reviewed the situation from all angles and the requirement for the replacement path FUNCTIONALITY and the freedom for the user to leave variable values blank remains.
I've been searching and reading SDN and SAP notes for about a week and do not find threads which address this situation.
We are also exploring Customer variable exits to mimic replacement path functionality
(different topic subject="How do I...Mimic Replacement Path with Query using Customer Variable Exits?")
    Any help will be appreciated
    Many thanks

  • ABAP Query Using LDB

    Hello Frn's
I need to develop a abap Query using LDB , for this a Infoset is allready created , which uses PNPCE LDB .
Below i am Descrbing the scenerio , for which we need to develop the query ....
    Dept/Div Transfer
Employees who transferred dept or division within specified date range:
    EmpID
    Last Name, First Name
    Date of transfer
    New department
    New division
    Current supervisor
    Old department
    Old division
How can i fitler out the data of our requirment ... because i want to use same infoset in diffrent query .
    Please provide some solution
    Thanks and Regards..
    Priyank Dixit

    Hi Priyank,
First you need to check whether all the required fields are available there in the LDB PNPCE(I guess you are using the same).
I think old department, old division must not be available there. Then you need to add it in your Infoset and write custom code for these fields. Once you are done with custom coding, you can use this infoset for creating queries.
Use trnx SQ02 to create queries, either SAP or Infoset.
Hope it helps. Let me know if you need some more help.

  • Crystal Reports with BEx Query using Custom Exit Variable

    Hi,
We have BW BEx Query using Customer User Exit variable to derive  the Fiscal Week for Last Year (called it VAR2) based on another user input variable Current Fiscal Week (called it VAR1).
VAR2 is derived from VAR1 in CMOD via some codings and thus it DOES NOT have the "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx. VAR1 is user input variable, so it has "Variable is Ready for Input" flag ticked in the BEx.
When we create a Crystal Reports with the BEx Query using variable VAR2, and when we run it we got an error message saying "Failed to execute query; '[]<java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: No Selection State Support!ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK>'. Redesign your query or contact the data source maintainer to solve the problem".  (note: ZP_MI_LYPUBWEEK is VAR2 in this case).
Could anyone please assist? Surely, CR supports BEx customer user exit variables like the above, right?. I also refer to the forum below as it seems to have a similar issue (except mine with an error message), but it does not provide a solution in it.
Crystal Reports with BEx Query using Custom Exit Variable
    Thanks,

    Hi Vibhav,
We have the SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise XI4.0 Version 14.0.0. Not sure if SP0 or other SP, got to check with Basis Team later.
We tried that "mandatory" option and did not work either.
Anyway, SAP has now come back again saying it is something they will fix it in next release/version. We got a phone call from them and a reply below to our OSS.
23.08.2011 - 08:20:49 CET - Info for Customer by SAP
I have raised this issue on the Idea#s Place as an enhancement request

    https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/ideas/5586
This ER contains the information of including the customer exit

This ER can be considered for being implemented in the future

  • Fire Joint Query using JCO

    Hi All,
I am using JCO Connection from a Webdypro Java Application to access the ERP backend, and fetch all the vendors for a particular Purchasing Organization.
I am using the FM RFC_READ_TABLE. But I have to pick data from 2 tables here LFA1 and LFM1, as one contains vendor details and one contains Vendor - Purchasing Organization Mapping. Can I use RFC_READ_TABLE to fetch data from both these table using a single Joint query. Tried but getting exceptions while executing the functions.
First fetching all the related vendors from LFM1, and adding these vendor IDs to the query on LFA1 worked. But it seems I cant add more than 900 vendor ids to the query. And customer is targetting more than 1000.
When I added more than 900 vendor ids to the query, I get the following exception
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: Error in module RSQL of the database interface.#
So can you help me here with any kind of solution,
    1) Is it possible to fire a joint query with both these tables involved, through JCO.
or 2) is there anyway to avoid the exception mentioned above and add more than 900 vendor ids to the query.
    Regards,
    Prakash

    HI Lavanya,
Do you think this is due to time out issues.
Because so far, in my system and as well as customer's system we havent faced any timeout issues.
When I didnt pass any search parameters to the query I was still able to retreieve all the records in the table, without any timeout exceptions (though there were performance issues).
When I went through other forums, they said this particular exception occurs when they had used more than 900(approx) parameters in the query (IN Parameters).
    My query goes like this.
    Select Field1, Field2 from LFA1 where Field0 = '1' or field0 ='2' or field0='3'.... or field0 = '900' .
Saravanan had suggested to create a BAPI which does this Joint query stuff in the backend itself. But since customer is going live in a week approving any development in the backend is not possible now.
So is there any work around to get through this exception, or is there any other RFC already available that can take in joint queries.
    Regards,
    Prakash

  • Rename RKF and CKF in query using ABAP

    Hi guys,
I am supposed to rename RKF and CKF in query using ABAP.  (RKF: restricted key figures, CKF: calculated key figures)
Right now, I am using FM RSZ_X_COMPONENT_GET to load query definition. I can find and rename all used RKF and CKF technical names and rename them in returned tables and then save it using  RSZ_X_COMPONENT_SET.
But  I see that both RKF and CKF are reusable elements and they are can be probably used somewhere else.
Can you tell me where can I find information in what header table are they saved or maybe some "where used" table.
What FM am I supposed to use to rename CKF and RKF in given query and also in other parts of SAP system?
Even some information how to get deeply into this problem would be very helpful.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You can see the query element definitions in RSZ* tables, but not sure if you will be able to find complete info, like a particular RKF is restricted by following selections by looking at the tables. Also, please do not try to change the info directly in the tables even though you seem to have a lot of objects to changes.
    Hope this helps...

  • Query Using DENSE_RANK()

I'm trying to write a query using DENSE_RANK() but I keep getting an error.  It works in SSMS.  I tried to break it down to the simplest I can:
SELECT DocEntry, DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY DocEntry) FROM INV1
I have had problems in the past with complicated queries and variables but I used the workaround to declare the variables first.  But, I don't see why this query doesn't work.  Thanks for the help.

    Hi Neetu,
Yes, those will both give the same result.  I was just giving an example where DENSE_RANK() fails in the SAP environment but works fine in the SSMS environment.  Is there any way around this?  Is there a different function to use in SAP?  Is there an easy way I can code my own dense rank function in SQL?  Thanks for the help.
