Query using Date Picker

Is it possible to have a date picker, like the one on the edit form, added to the generated query form?
I'm using version 9.0.3
Thanks.

Hi,
I tried the normal date picker as in the edit form but it doesn't work!
With the following code it is possible to select a date from the date picker:
<script src="/cabo/jsLibs/MarlinCore.js" language="javascript"></script>
<script src="/webapp/jsLibs/DateField.js" language="javascript"></script>
<INPUT TYPE="TEXT" NAME="NAME_TEXTFIELD" SIZE="11">
<a onclick="launchDatePicker('/cabo/jsps/frameRedirect.jsp?redirect=/webapp/jsp/calendar.jsp&locale=nl_BE&enc=windows-1252', 'FORM_NAME', 'NAME_TEXTFIELD', 'dd/MM/yyyy'); return false" href="#">
<img src=/webapp/images/FNDICLDR.gif align=absmiddle border=0 alt="Calendar for date entry assistance"></a>
You have to fill in the places where I put FORM_NAME or NAME_TEXTFIELD and it must work!
It works with me so I hope it works also with you...

  • Using Date Picker on form causes session values to be cleared on validation

    Got a really weird problem on a form (on a report). We have a basic form which has a date picker on. The form fires a number of bog standard validations when the Create button is clicked (values filled in, values are numbers etc).
    When a validation fails, the values inputted by the user are retained. So far so good. However, when the user selects a date, and a validation fails, all the session values are all cleared (not just the date picker) and they have to fill everything in again.
    At first we thought there must be a process resetting the page items - nothing. Also recreated the page from scratch and it still doesn't work. Strangely, the problem goes away if we change the date picker to a text field. Also, if the user doesn't select a date, the other session values are retained.
    Are we doing something daft here or is this a bug?

    Yes - we're using inbuilt validation to ensure it's a valid date. We tried turning this off and it makes no difference, the problem is still there.
    We tried changing the date picker to a text field and using the same validation (i.e. check it's a date) and this works fine. This is why we think it might be a bug.

  • SQL query for date picker

    On a reports page there are two 2 date picker items ( a datefrom and a dateto) along with a text field with autocomplete item
    When the page loads the following query is called
    SELECT
    "COL1",
    "COL2",
    "COL3",
    from "TABLE"
    WHERE MYDATES BETWEEN :DATEFROM AND :DATETO
    Which returns no records as no dates have been selected.
    How can I alter this so the WHERE clause on the date item searches is called only if and when the dates are chosen, and by default all records are shown.
    The other related issue is when I have selected a from and to date and search when I go back into the report view page after viewing other pages in the apex app, the form fields are still populated, how can I clear the session down for these fields when the user leaves the page?
    Hope this all makes sense?

    To_date('01.01.2100', 'dd.mm.yyyy') is going to give wrong results on 02.01.2100 :D
    A solution (maybe there is a cleaner one...) :
    WHERE
    ((:DATEFROM IS NOT NULL AND mydates >= :DATEFROM) OR :DATEFROM IS NULL)
    AND
    ((:DATETO IS NOT NULL AND mydates <= :DATETO) OR :DATETO IS NULL)You can change the "No data found" message by modifiying the "When No Data Found Message" report attribute.
    EDIT : And for the 2nd issue, Alex is right, but also be aware that Firefox retains form element values on page refresh, you have to switch the "Form Auto Complete" page security attribute to "Off" if you don't want to retain form element values.

  • Problem with date format using date picker

    In my application I provide to user ability to change date format. When using "MMM dd yyyy" format, the date picker paste to the inputbox something like "1111 07 2008" instead of "Nov 07 2008".
    To set the date format I use the following code:
    wdContext.nodeDateNode().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("date").getModifiableSimpleType().setFormat("MMM dd yyyy");
    I know that is known bug of date picker. But there should be other way to implement this functionality. Isn't it?

  • Create Query using data from 0IC_C03 to show stock balance

    Dear All,
    I have successfully setup 0IC_C03. I have loaded in the data in accordance with the documentation. I check the result and it seems the stock balance match with the data source.
    However, my question is how can I setup a formula in the query so I can look up stock balance based on the date I put in to run the query.
    For example, I loaded in the data on Oct 13, 2008. For material A,  I have a key figure called Quantity total stock which is the net of receipt and issue total stock is  10,000 LB as of Oct 13, 2008.
    When I run the same query using the date as of Oct 31, 2005, the quantity total stock show  -10,000 LB.  The stock balance of material should be 0 LB on Oct 31, 2005.   I know I can't just simply create 2 key figures - one using the loading date (Oct 13, 2008)  and one using the input variable date to add up together since I will have trouble if I enter Oct 13, 2008 as the input variable day because it will zero out.
    Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi Brian,
    Thank you for your reply.  After I double check, the setting was wrong in the DTP of 2LIS_03_BX to feed the infocube 0IC_C03.  it wasn't set to initial Non-cumulative for non-cumlative value in the extraction mode. after I change that and re-ran the whole process, the current and past stock balances are correct.
    However. the problem happen again when I test delta update.  I loaded 2LIS_03_BF delta update first to 0IC_C03 and compress with no marker update was checked. after that, I loaded 2LIS_03_UM delta update and compress with no no marker update was checked.  For some reasons, the quantity total stock doesn't add up. it should be 9600 LB in total quantity stock but show 0 LB as of Oct 08. When I ran the query for Oct 06, the quantity total stock show -9600 LB.  do you know why? Thanks again.

  • Update using date picker not working?

    Hello,
    This might be simple for a lot of people here but I can't get it going...
    The problem is that, I have a tabular form with 1 text field and 1 date field. I am using a PL/SQL anonymous block transaction to insert/update a view based on the field values. Insert is fine but update on the date field is not working - but no errors. The date field is a date picker('DD-MON-YYYY') column. Kindly help check the problem. Thank you.

    Hello,
    The output for g_f03(v_row) and g_f04(v_row) appear to be fine. g_f03 only has the actual text and g_f04 has the date(from date picker field) with format like 22-OCT-2009. Below is an excerpt of the code & debug log - might be of help.

  • Dynamic Actions not firing when using date picker?

    The dynamic actions don't seem to be triggering when selecting a date from the date picker, but trigger just fine when the dates are manually entered. Anyone else have this problem and if so is there a workaround to get it to work from the date picker as well? I am using Application Express 4.0.1.00.03
    And how can I report this problem?

    I'm already using Change.
    If it matters, I have it set to:
    Event: Select
    Selection Type: Item
    Condition: No Condition
    My action type is just an alert right now since all I want to do is to see if I can trigger it (as in you have to walk before you can run).
    Event Scope: Live
    Conditon type: Dynamic Action not Conditional
    Authorization Scheme: No Authorization Required

  • "Server Busy" error in Crystal Reports XI when using date picker

    Hi,
    I have come across an issue whereby I get a error pop up when using the date picker to select a date parameter as I run a report from within Crystal Report XI on a particular PC. While I am able to type in the date using the yyyy-mm-dd format, selecting the date picker displays an error message titled "Server Error" stating that the program is not responding and giving options "Switch To" and "Retry". Selecting either button displays the same error message and need to kill the application from the Task Manager to restart.
    I have run the same report from other PCs (including using the date picker to pick a date parameter) without the error popping up. All of the PCs have the same version of the application.
    Has anyone come across this and how were you able to resolve it?

    yes test is a formula that i used to calculate a difference
    that should work, but i would put () around the
    (if(remainder(({ztrptActVol.CPT}*{tlkpBblMileage.CPT}),1)>0 and
    remainder(({ztrptActVol.CPT}*{tlkpBblMileage.CPT}),1)<1) then
    truncate(({ztrptActVol.CPT}*{tlkpBblMileage.CPT}))+1
    else ({ztrptActVol.CPT}*{tlkpBblMileage.CPT})
    rounding in crystal is a pain in the &&

  • Filter using date picker

        Hi ,
    In the above  image if i select date from date picker (created from and created till)  it should filter Rowrepeater based on Created On date ,
    So far i have tried this code but not working,
    function datechange(){
          var fromdate = sap.ui.getCore().byId("FromDate").getValue();
          var todate = sap.ui.getCore().byId("TillDate").getValue();
          var filter = new sap.ui.model.Filter("CreatedOn", sap.ui.model.FilterOperator.BT,
              fromdate,todate);
          oRowRepeater.bindRows("CM_EventList>/eventlist",oVBox, null, null,
              [ filter ]);
    CreatedOn is a back end value.
    Please help me on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sathish.

    I think your rowrepeater bindRow parameters have one 'null' argument too many:
    According to the API, it should be bindRows(sPath, oTemplate, oSorter, aFilters)
    Try with
    oRowRepeater.bindRows("CM_EventList>/eventlist",oVBox, null, [ filter ]);

  • SQL Query using DATS data type

    Hello people,
    I have a table 'TableA' with a column 'xpto' that has DATS data type.
    A lot of lines in this table has this field empty.
    I have to create a SQL query to select those lines with this field not empty.
    Select * from TableA
    where xpto is not null
    It does not work.... The result is all the lines in the table.
    What is wrong?
    Thanks!

    Easiest way to do this is :
    constants l_xpto   type tableA-xpto  value is initial
    Select * from TableA
    where xpto ne l_xpto.
    You can see the NULL/NOT NULL settings for the column through SE11
    Utilities -> Database Object -> Display.
    I tend to set the "Initial Value" flag when adding columns to tables, which creates the database column as NOT NULL with a default value (whatever SAP considers the initial value for that datatype). I think SAP does this by default, but I've had issues where it hasn't so I do this to ensure consistency

  • Looking for a "free" Date Picker

    I'm looking for a free to download and use Date Picker that I can integrate into a small Swing app. Nothing fancy, just a calendar (probably using a JTable) and the ability to select a day of year/month and (possibly) a time of day.
    I'm searching google but they're all commercial licenses and I'm simply building this app as a learning process, not for profit.
    If there's nothing out there, I'll just stick with my series of combo-boxes :)
    Cheers,

    Oh yeah, I should point out that I'm not just being lazy. I've spent a while trying to build it myself to no avail. I got as far as displaying the grid :P

  • Date picker in OBIEE

    I would like to use Date Picker on the OBIEE Dashboard. Is there any standard control/mechanism that I can put to use ?

    hi....can you explain it a little more???
    i created 2 dashboards prompts. from 2 dummy collums
    i set CAST ( NULL AS DATE ) and CAST ( '11/12/2008' AS DATE ),i choose calendar and i set 2 presentation variables,start and end
    in my reports i creates a single collumn(measure column from fact table) QTY where i want to se the quantity of the specified period of time.
    i set in the function...
    FILTER(fact.QTY USING (CALENDAR_DIM.CALENDAR_DATE BETWEEN '@{start}{04/01/2007}' AND '@{end}{06/01/2007}'))
    (i did that because i want to have 2 colums of qty in order to represent 2 qts of 2 different periods.
    i made a simple test only with one period but the result was...
    Κατάσταση: HY000. Κωδικός: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. • ADF Swing 11g - How to bind date picker

    Hello,
    My Swing application needs to use date picker control, and I decided to use JCalendar from www.toedter.com.
    Is there any example on binding such Swing component? Or are there other date picker control that can easily integrate into JDev and ADF for that matter?
    Thanks
    Regards,
    Rudi

    Mmm well i don't know if this can help you
    I am using a date picker too, this is the code where I use it
    <af:selectInputDate label="#{bundle[\'newPatient.birthday\']}"
                                          required="true"
                                          requiredMessageDetail="#{bundle[\'newPatient.validate.birthday\']}"
                                          binding="#{PatientCreateBean.birthday}"/>My binding property is PatientCreateBean.birthday
    and birthday is type CoreSelectInputDate
    I got info about the different elements to use in ADF from the following link
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/tagdoc/core/imageIndex.html
    I hope this can help you

  • Date picker - is there a way to restrict the minuit select list to 1/4 hr

    Hi,
    When using date picker item with format 'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI',
    Is there a way to restrict the minuit select list on the calendar to 1/4 hr instead of 00 to 59. Example: 00,15,30,45
    Thank you,
    Francis

    Hold down command key to select multiple songs, then "Get Info", and you will modify all fields at the same time.
