Query varibale - display InfoObject attribute in selection screen

Hi,
At my Query I have a variable for ZSurvey (InfoObject), when I run the report I got the first screen to select a Survey (ZSurvey).
in This Selection Screen I have 2 columns ( Survey number & Description)
How Do I add third Column (Start Time) Which is Attribute in ZSurvey infoobject ( Time Depended)

Is Start Time navigational attribute ?

Need to display TEXT in web selection screen

HI All,
We are working on CRM-BW modeling. We have one field called "product" which will have key and medium text. We need to display both key + text in web reporting selection screen. When we ran first time text was not showing in web report. Then we found and change the configuration in search help in SE11 for that field. Then we can see the text+key combination in RSRT but still we can't see the text in web report selection screen...
Now what we have to do to display text in selection screen on web...
Please give your inputs ASAP.....we are in UAT phase....

Hi Arun,
For you case: Display key & text in selection screen.
In BW,
You can go to query designer, then you'll go to the info-object belong to the variable (selection-screen : product). Right-click, find for the properties, Then you'll see the option for display as.
Choose it for Key and text.
Then save it.
Go to the report, in the selection screen, when you're choosing for the help, you'll see the value displayed by key & text.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.

Display alv grids in selection screen based on the user event

Hi All,
I am workign on displaying ALV in same selection screen.I am able to display the ALV in selection screen.
But i have 2 buttons in my selection screen 'Create' and 'change'.
When i click on create i need with some type of data and when i click on 'change' my alv grid another type of data.Ex: if i click on crate mara data should be dispalyed when i click on change makt table data should be dispalyed and also i have user defined buttons are in my grids.
So i have used 2 containers to dispaly to different data.I am able to display the perfectly but the problem is first time when i click on create the grid is displaying when i click on change button the create alv grid is displaying down and change data is dispalying up.
I need only one alv grid at a time.Can anybody please let me know how can i do this.

through fieldcatalog (NO_OUT) parameter.

hi all
please any one tell me how one can display full text on selection screen because whatevery i have defined in text for selection screen variable is not displaying full text, some letters are missing.
for example :
Poste(s) du document de facturation
above text i want to display on selection screen.
but only Poste(s) du document de factur
is displying. some letters are missing

Effect
Generates a comment on the selection screen. For the name name , there are two options:
name takes the form TEXT-xxx where xxx is a three-character name for a text symbol. In this case, the contents of the text symbol are displayed at runtime, i.e. the text cannot be changed dynamically. name is another eight-character name. Here, you create a field with the name name in the length specified in the format fmt< /> and it is then generated as an output field on the selection screen. The contents of these comments must therefore be set at runtime (e.g. at INITIALIZATION or - in the case of comments in the database include program DBldbSEL - in the routine INIT of the database program SAPDBldb . They can also be changed when the selection screen is being processed.
Note
The field name is generated automatically and so cannot be defined with DATA .
With comments, you must always specify a format fmt (see variant ULINE ).
Note
You must program a new line yourself via the format fmt .

Hide display attributes in selection screen?

Hi @ All,
Does anybody knows how I can hide some display attributes of one characteristic in the selection screen in the portal?
For example, I have the characteristic 0plant with the display attribute 0ALTITUDE which I want to hide in the selection screen.
Any ideas?

yes we talking about BW report selection screen
0plant is my input variable in query designer. 0plant is also navigational in the infocube.
0ALTITUDE is an attribute of 0plant. It is not navigational and not input variable in query designer.
Any ideas how I only set some attributes of 0plant visible for the selection screen, and some not?

Navigational attribute in selection screen gives no applicable data

Hi Gurus
In the report i am using the navigational attribute in the selection screen.e.g Brand (attribute of material)
My problem is whenevr i enter value in the navigational attribute (brand) in the selection screen and execute its says no data found.
If i do not fill this parameter and fill only the parent attribute (material) in the selection screen , then i can see the results and from its properties (drilling down )i can see the values of brand .
If the values of brand exist why via selection screen its not giving vales, However Via material i can drill down and see brand values.
I have done all the necessary steps to make this attribute as navigational.
On top of this i have this same navigation attributes as one of the characterisitc in the cube.

I've the same problem... for new nav. attributes for 0Material.
Settings for nav. attibutes in BEx Q.D. are OK.
But in BEx Analyzer:
1- not display all values for this attributes. Some values are displayed, some don't.
I try display it with and without selection screen. The result is the same.
2- I try to display (normal) attributes - not nav. In this case everything is OK.
But I've 2 columns: normal attribute for all values and nav. attribute only with some values...
(the query is something like: 0Material + 0Material_NOTnav_attr + 0Material_NOTnav_attr)
It isn't a normal...
I don't know... Maybe it's depend of the time?
I can't clear all master data for 0Material, because they're used in some cubes. I had old characteristic without nav. attr. but with master data. I added nav. attr. in 0Material and activated it. Next I load master data (full method). Then I added nav. attr. in infocube, activated it, delete and load data into the cube (Init + Delta).
If I display data for the cube in RSA1, I can see nav. attr. for all records. I can't see it in BEx Analyzer...
Can U explain it?

For the infoobject in the query,
In the variable selection screen When i want to select any value it should display only key, and in the report i want to display key and text of that infoobject.

How to display error documents in selection screen level

Currently Iam doing Smartforms for journal voucher. Iam taking multiple documents as input and displaying relavent item data for each.
Now, my requirement is i want to display invalid document numbers at selection screen level. For example there are 30 invalid document number i want to display them before start-of-selection.

now when i am writing the code......

it is showing SAP's message not mine.
but ....if my s_ebeln-high field is 0.
then my message is showing.

Display Output on the Selection-screen

In-order for the Radiobutton selection process to initiate the 'AT selection-screen' event you need to add the 'USER_COMMAND' option to the parameter declaration. See code below.

In description it says that this method could display a list of users but
in reality it displays only one item.

I think you will need to give more information. What does your binding look like, what are the possible agents for the task you give in the binding? This last one if you get a list or search functionality.

I had a requirement where i had to display a picture on the selection screen, so i used the methods set_position and load_picture_from_url of the class cl_gui_picture to archive this, but now my selection screen has extended to more than one page because of this if i scroll down on the selection screen the picture is not scrolling it is remaining static to the screen ( i.e. if i place it (10, 10) after scrolling also it is still remaining at (10 , 10) with respect to the new screen) is there any way i can scoll the picture also i.e. it also moves up along with the screen?

There could be one option : create one screen and load your picture on that screen.
Within your selection screen, call the screen created above.
