Querying so-called email from 'Apple' asking me to "verify the email address accociated (sic) with your Apple ID."
I'm guessing this is a fraud?
Yes, it's a phishing attempt to get your id and password - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

I can't reset my security questions and answers. Every time I try to have the reset link sent to my rescue address all it does is ask me to verify the email. I keep doing this and still it wont give me access to the reset questions. Anyone know what else to try?

Have Apple asked me to verify my email address?
I've received an email addressed to someone else asking me to verify my email address as a new rescue email, I'm guessing this is a scam?
Dear Aaron Gardner,
You recently added ***** as a new rescue email address for your Apple ID. To verify this email address belongs to you, click the link below and then sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Verify now >
Why you received this email.
Apple requests verification whenever an email address is added to an Apple ID. Your email address cannot be used without verification.
If you didn’t make this change or if you believe an unauthorized person is attempting to access your account, you can reset your password by going to My Apple ID.
Sincerely,
Apple Support
<Email Edited By Host>I would go with the presumption that it's phishing. Or at the very least, someone tried to do something with your account.
I'd change the password on your Apple ID, but don't do anything via any link in that e-mail. Sign in via your iTunes and do it through a known good link (as in via the manage your ID part of iTunes) -

ICloud account keeps asking me to verify the email
....address. I have gone to the site and resent the email about 5 times, it's not coming through at all. I've also checked the spam and junk, it's not there. I am getting all other emails from Apple regarding password changes and account alerts.
macirney,
The article linked below details what to do should you not receive your verification email.

Suddenly I seem to be sending blank emails to everyone from my third generation ipad. They receive the email but nothing is in it yet if I look at my sent mail it appears there. What happened?
Hi, ybg, and welcome to the Community,
Your detailed report (thank you) indicates to me your account has been compromised a second time. Change your Skype account password immediately if you have not already done so, as well as that of any saved payment method on file. I would also run a maintenance cycle on your computer/laptop, ensuring all patches and updates are installed. Also run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware suite using the most recent virus signature files available.
You are right to contact Skype Customer Service to report this incident. I have read that people experience problems reaching them, however please do continue to do so, choosing a different path through the various steps than you used the first time; try also using a different web browser. I have also read that the instant message chat sessions with Customer Service agents appear as a pop-up dialogue box, which needs to be enabled or the connection to the agent will not process.
Here is a link to the instruction on how to contact Skype Customer Service via their secure portal: Contact Customer Service
As a general proactive precaution, I would recommend reviewing how you access the internet, particularly seeking any vulnerabilities or patterns common to the first incident and this one.
Regards,
Elaine

I tried to start face time and it said that it would send an email to the address provided but i didn't realize that the email address there was an inactive one and now i cant use face time since i havent verified it yet. I was trying to see if there was a way to restart the process so that i can get that email sent to the corrent email address that i actually use.
If there is no other way around this, is there anyway to completely wipe the phone then??
The Apple store agreed to give me a new iPhone 4 as a warranty replacement for $150 (I travel a lot and I have a factory unlocked phone, so this is still worth it for me). But before I trade it in, I would like to make sure all my data is backed up on the device first.
When I try and restore the phone now on iTunes, it says I have to turn off Find My iPhone on the phone first before I can restore it. Now since I can't use the screen I can't really do that.
So how do I completely wipe the iPhone???
Thanks! -
My primary goal: I want to browse to some Apple website where I have already logged in using my Apple Id and password, and I then want to click a link that will bring me to a page that will show me the Apple Devices that I "own", that are associated with either "me" (whatever that entity Id should be) or with my Apple Id. Most importantly, I want to do this without using iTunes. I have seen my list of devices before on an Apple web page, and it even shows the MAC addresses of the devices. I did not reach this list by using iTunes.
I know for an absolute fact that an Apple Customer Service rep on the phone showed me some trick for viewing all the devices that I had purchased. There was even a device that another person had purchased and then had sold to me, and this Apple rep showed him how to "disown" the device and she then walked me through how I could take over ownership of the same device).
The procedure that she walked me through might not have anything to do with my Apple Id. It might have had to do with some other unique way of identifying myself. I simply cannot remember, and I cannot imagine what that Id would have been. I have searched and searched via Google and every result returned by Google always talks about using iTunes to associate an Apple device with my Apple Id.
My secondary goal: If this is not the appropriate community to which I should have sent this question, all I can say is that it was the closest match that I could find. If no one here can help me achieve my primary goal, can you please suggest another community to which I should post my question?
Thanks! After hours and hours of failed searches, I must have used a different keyword in my Google search, and here is the website that I was looking for:
https://supportprofile.apple.com
And here is the guy whose website I found that helped me solve my problem:
http://www.marcomc.com/2011/01/how-to-find-the-list-of-my-apple-registered-produ cts/
I was going to rant here about how badly Apple designed their "Apple Id" stuff, how they strongly distinguish between using your Apple Id at the online Apple Store vs. using it at the App Store (which you have to get to via iTunes ... quite ridiculous) ... but I won't. :-)
Anyway, I hope that the two previously mentioned websites will be of help to others. -
Apple asks me to verify my email address but when I do, I never receive a verification email
Im trying to use my current Apple ID to set up my iCloud account on my iPad2, iPhone4 and both mac computers. On the ipad, i go to settings>iCloud and enter my apple id and password. It gives me a message telling me to verify my account. So I log into my apple ID settings and click verify account, and I dont get a verification email..... any advice??
Not sure who you isp is, but some have reported that the verification e mails are getting sidetracked into a spam filter. Check there.

I am getting emails from itunes asking me to renew my ID with bank account, creditcard and sortcode! to much information to be credible. anybody else have this problem?
They are not from Apple/iTunes, they are phishing attempts to try and get your account and payment details - don't click on any of the links in them.
If you still have the emails then you could forward them to Apple : [email protected] -
i have an apple id . while trying to install any application, they r asking to verify the email which hal already been verified. what to do?
For anyone that comes across this. I managed to fix the problem. It had something to do with the date on my computer. Mavericks installer apparently does a date check of some sort and that is where the error is coming from. Open terminal and check the system date. It may be wrong. Another poster in the forums told me how to to check the date and change it. Click here for the link to the explanation. Be careful because the date is in a weird format.

Did Apple recently send out a communication asking me to verify my email address?
You are welcome...it is always good to ask about things like this...this phishing one has been taking many forms, verify, change info, all kinds of things you are asked to provide.
