Question about AAC formating

when you format songs to 128 kbps it makes a duplicate, my question is how do you tell which one is the duplicate. I know there is a "view duplicates" option but when i click it it shows both the duplicate and the original mp3 file, i still don't know which one to delete since i don't want two of the song on my ipod. also is there a way to always know which is the dup? thanks in ahead

Highlight one of the duplicate tracks and right click. Select "Get Info" and look at the Summary tab. You will either see the original format or the AAC 128 format.

Question about the format of an external drive.....

Ok quick question...
my external is formatted mac OS extended journaled. I need to create a new partition in FAT so that it can be read when I use bootcamp. However when I use disk utility to create a partition it says it would have to format the whole harddrive and I'd lose what is currently on there..
Is there anyway that I can do this without losing what I currently have on there?
I only need to have about 50 gigs read/writeable in windows running on bootcamp.

You might want to try out MacDrive, which will allow Mac OS formatted drives to be read from and written to in Windows. That could save you having to repartition your external drive completely. There's a five-day free trial available so you could try it out first.

Question about final format for integrated film clips and moving images in webpages created by Muse

About a year ago I gave up even trying to construct websites. There were too many new factors and technical aspects of correct scripts and coding to make it interesting for a designer with no interest in programming. It´s understandable that all new gadgets such as mobile surf panels, mobile internet on different cell phones, lap tops and stationary computers and a lot of different browsers made it impossible to run with just plain html. But when I found out that many viewers couldn´t even watch Flash movies or solutions with flash components I said enough is enough.
Now a while ago when HTML5 was released I heard that it made it possible to create films and almost identical content as with Flash films without using them. Bought some templates and realized that it really worked. So here are my questions:
What format does Adobe Muse CC use when I add films and stuff into it, and what format will come out of it when it´s an official website?
Do Adobe Muse CC convert film formats so they will be visualized correctly on the end viewers browser, computer or phone?
Will Adobe Muse CC advice me of what film or animation format will be the best for my viewers on the web or on a mobile internet?
Are there any guidelines available for how I shall save and export filmclips or animations before they are imported into Adobe Muse CC?

JStore where? Are we talking about a database? You should in that case let the driver handle the conversion and use a PreparedStatement.

Question about asc format in file server !

In the z program that exists here it what i have a problem with
When I use local file, I can choose the format for data (ASC, WK1, DAT, etc u2026) and the format I need is DAT (DAT ASCII data table with column tab)
But when I use file server, I can't choose the format. The output file is always in ASC format.
Is the file server inevitably in ASC format, or is it possible to choose an other format ?

when downloading the file (or uploading for that matter), you can define the format with addition:
IN TEXT MODE
IN BINARY MODE

Question about date format

Why if I format my date as SimpleDateFormat sdf3 = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MMMM/yyyy")
in my DB the date is saved for example as 2005-10-27 ?
Is there a way to save it the way I want it ?

I second what stdunbar said.
The database uses a binary format to store a column with a date (or timestamp) datatype. Assuming you're storing your values correctly, the full precision is stored in the DB, but may get rounded in the display, particularly in a utility program.
For example, with Oracle using the sql*plus utility:
SQL> create table foobar (a date);
Table created.
SQL> insert into foobar (select sysdate from dual);
1 row created.
SQL> insert into foobar values ( to_date('12/31/1999 11:15:30','mm/dd/yyyy hh:mi:ss') );
1 row created.
SQL> commit;
Commit complete.
SQL> select * from foobar;

Question about video formats

Can Macs run .avi or .wmv files? I plan on getting a Mac soon and this is a huge part of what I am putting into consideration. All of my animations are .avi and .wmv files.

AVI is not a format (codec) at all . It, like Quicktime, is a container with a codec in it. Some play, some don't. You will find a lot of AVI with XVid and DivX for example.
Flip4mac (free) plays back most recent Windows Media, e.g. 8 and 9. Perian (free) plays a LOT of files you will find from the interweb which means Windows users made them.
You can also run Windoze on a mac so that mean you can have WMP from MS as well.

Question about movie formats

Hello all,
I'm just curious why all movies are in .avi format and not in .mp4? Is that because of the conversion speed or quality? Lots of devices (iPhone, PSP, iTunes...) doesn't support .avi so why not to convert movies to .mp4? Isn't .mp4 also newer than .avi?

But I still don't understand, why people converting movies into .avi if you need some other supplies (codecs) to play it and you cannot play it in many devices instead of .mp4, where you don't need anything else and you can play it everywhere you want.
And if .avi is more popular why companies (such as Apple, Sony, etc...) doesn't support .avi format in their devices? It doesn't make any sense. If they would provide the possibility of playing .avi format, many people will use their devices for that. I know many people who own these devices, but non of them plays videos in them, because it is not in .pm4 and nobody want's to convert the movies because it takes so long time...

Question about well formatted xml

Does anyone know how to make a xml stream to be well formatted?
For example, if I got a String like:
String a = "<person><name>Jack</name><age>16</age></person>";
And I need to convert it to be well formatted like
<person>
<name>Jack</name>
<age>16</age>
</person>
Any idea?

Once you create a workbook, the structure of the workbook cannot be changed automatically (except for the sheet where you have inserted your qeury in which case, any changes you make in this sheet would be lost once you refresh the query or reexecute the workbook) . you can change a sheet that you have created in that workbook and it doesn have any query inserted in that sheet as per my knowledge. Let us know if you find something new.

Basic question about MP3 format

This is really simple (if you know how) but how but how do I convert a MP3 Disc so that I can play it on my ipod that needs MP4? Many thanks!

You don't need to convert. iPods handle mp3 just fine.

I'm loathed to ask the same question again about the ITunes library not syncing with my iPod but having just done a complete restore, ensuring the tracks are in AAC format.. There are still problems.. Apple are there with the tutorials..but no solvings!!!

I'm using iPod 4th Gen iOS 6.1.3 and an iMac with 11.3 .. All latest versions. I have 23.4gb music according to the file but when I attached the iPod the bar at the foot of the page says 18.3gb. Some tracks are missing. Most if not all have been ripped from cd's into iTunes which is creating AAC format for each track. Other tracks play fine, some show the song but not the Artist and vice versa.
I have tried dragging the tracks from the Mac library to the IPod music file..nothing. So I go to Safari, type the question in and read the same problems over.. Are Apple aware of their Tutorials without troubleshooting pages ? Do they care?
My Pioneer DDJ/T1 is set up with Traktor and only wants to work with iTunes.. So iTunes are edging themselves in everywhere for everything... But it's still not working as it should..
Anyone have any clues please... Tried most all the ideas so far...

I just noticed that one of the restore methods you posted was to put it into Disk Mode First rather than just use the resstore straight off, I Have tried that and seems to have solved the problem, If it has thank you. previously I have only tried just restoring it skipping this extra step. Hope my iPod stays healthy, if it doesnt its a warrenty job me thinks any way thanks again
