Question about Business packages of self service

Dear all,
I have installed correctly EP and ERP 6.0 EHP 4, now I would like to deploy the business packages of ESS/MSS in order to test it, for what I understood, I need to download the following:
BP ERP05 ESS 1.41
BP ERP05 MSS 1.41
SAP ESS 603
SAP PCUI_GP 603
SAP MSS 600
The porblem is that for every one business package in the marketplace, there are like 10 SCA files to download, do I have to download them all or only the latest one?

Question about "BUSINESS PACKAGE FOR COMMUNICATION"

We want to configure "BUSINESS PACKAGE FOR COMMUNICATION_50_4_5" for EP 6.0 SP2. We have imported mentioned package in our EP 6.0. There are no errors in logfile.
In document "Transfer Collaboration Rooms from EP 5.0 to EP 6.0" (item 3.8) is described how we can create and configure systems for "Communication Framework", "Address Book Component", "Java Mail Connector" and "Mail Server", that was mentioned in documentation to "BUSINESS PACKAGE FOR COMMUNICATION_50_4_5".
But we can't create those systems because portal's archives: "com.sapportals.pct.comm.systems" and "com.sapportals.pct.col.sync.systems" are absent in our system (System Administration > System Configuration > System > Portal Content. Right click on directory and select "New From Portal Archive").
What we can do in this situation?

Hi Slava,
the Communication Package has been discontinued, it it not supported with EP6.
For the Coll.Rooms you have to configure the Groupware Connector according to the Admin Guide.

A question about creating packages as local objects in ABAP

Hi,
I have a question about creating packages with SE80. Whenever I create a new package it is assigned a new transport request. After that, I can create new programs inside this package, and each time I can choose whether to assign the new program to a transport request or just save it as a local object (I often do this for test programs that I don't transport and I remove them once my tests have been done).
What I would like to ask is that, is it possible to create a package (and not just programs inside a given package) as a local object? so that every new object created in this package will be considered as a local object?

Business Package for Asset Services, implementation & integration

We have installed Business Package for Asset Services in EP6.0 and integrated it with back-end system. The package works fine but on some iViews (equipmentpartners, functionallocationpartners, equipment, functionallocation, configurationshow) we have following runtime error:

Dear Ranko and others,
The problem lies in the lowercase and uppercase of the specific shared ressources within the deployed file default.properties of the business partner. Also the link to the PDV isnt the same anymore.
I had the same problems and by analyzing the logs of the nwa I found this solution. Donwload the files and replace the names with lowercase and making the reference to th PDV as well. Then upload this packaged PAR file again.

I searched for business package for Service Technician (Field Service Engineer), but I was able to find only a Business Package for Maintenance Technician. Can this busi. package be used for Service Technician as well? Has anybody worked on Customer Service business packages?

[makepkg] Question about split packages handling in makepkg

One question came to my mind, while I was looking at the vlc PKGBUILD. Does splitting packages have to be done in such a non efficient way? I mean, why do we have to delete for example, a directory, once make install has been issued, only to copy the removed parts by hand in the next function? Wouldn't it be better to just specify something like per-package %files section (like in RPM .spec files)? Is this approach possible in Arch without ditching all the work up to now? If there was any discussion about that, I would love to take part in it. I am also looking forward to listening some critical comments.

However, as far as I know, when Makefile has only one install target and we have to separate some files, we have to install all first, and then remove parts which don't fit into the main package just to copy them back in place in the next package-foo2() function. Question about optimizing packages int Makepkg.conf

I edited my Makepkg.conf file so that it knows that I have a Intel Core 2 Duo. Do I need to rebuild any packages? How do I go about it if I do?

Prescott is for the i686 version, Nocona is for x86_64.
Note that this is, I'm pretty sure, independent of what architecture your OS is running (32-bit vs 64-bit).
Yeah. What I meant was that if you're running i686 on your Core2Duo it's a Prescott. If you're running x86_64, it's a Nocona.

Question about some packages in arch

Where do I report/ask about packages in arch *like in AUR there is a comment section*
The reason is because well the package (sdl) didn't had PulseAudio support so I was wondering where to report it and KTorrents didn't bring any plug-ins with the package (plus I can't compile it since there is a phonon error I don't get)

Questions about OS X Server Wiki Service

I'm trying to get familiar with Mountain Lion OS X Server. I got questions here and hope somebody would help...
When I start Websites and access it using "server.local" or "localhost", I get a web page server from the directory - this is correct. Then, I started Wiki and access it at the same address. I get served from the Wiki server. So, does this mean that starting the Wiki server will always replace the Web site hosting service? How do I easily make the Web server serve at port 80 and 443, and set another port for the Wiki.
If I want to use HTTP realm to prevent anyone from accessing the Wiki, what is the easiest way to configure it? (Basically, I want to prompt for password whenever the wiki is access. That is, no public/global access even though the Wiki is hosted on the public Internet.) If this is not easy to configure, then I can consider setting up VPN.
Further, in this documentation: [https://help.apple.com/advancedserveradmin/mac/10.8/#apd59153f0a-7ed3-4c64-9c74- 3a1fff831475], it says the collabd_url is running on port 4444. However, when I access it on that port, I get a blank page. Why?
And, on the same documentation page, there is a field called "use_sandbox_server" and the 'default' is "true". This setting is actually not found when I opened the 'collabcored.plist' file, and the Activity Monitor shows that it is not sandboxed. Can anyone provide some clues on what's happening?
Lastly, what are the software behind which powers with Wiki? (ie. what is the database, and it it actually a PHP appication, etc.?)

Try using this info, its for Rumpus (who make a 3rd party FTP server) but the same method can be used to make any virtual host, so you can have more than one service running on the same port (or appear to run on the same port)
OS X Server Users:
OS X Server uses the Apache Web service, but uses special configuration files in the process. Changing the Apache config files directly may have inconsistent results. Try creating a virtual server in OS X Server, and then modifying the OS X Server config file for that virtual domain.
For example, to set up an alternate service using the "rumpus.acme.com" domain name, you would create a Web site in OS X Server called "rumpus.acme.com". Once you have done that, look in the folder:
/Library/Server/Web/Config/apache2/sites
There you will find a file that includes the alternate domain name, like "0000_any_80_rumpus.acme.com.conf". In that file is a VirtualHost configuration block which can be modified to include the proxy directives shown above. Some of OS X Server's configuration options, like the "IfModule" and "Directory" blocks, can be removed, since the virtual server won't actually be processing files from the file system. Other config options, like ServerName and ServerAdmin, can be left as specified by OS X Server.
Here is an example:

Remember to stop and start the Apache service (using OS X Server if you have customized the OS X Server config file) after making changes to force Apache to reload changes.

Question about renamed packages in APEX 2.2

A simple question. If the packages in 2.2 have been renamed, do I need to expect any problems upgrading to that version. Some of the HTMLDB_UTIL functions and procedures are used in my application code. Or you just kept the old names as synonyms?

Just found this in the documentation:
In release 2.2, Oracle Application Express APIs were renamed using the prefix APEX_. Note that API's using the previous prefix HTMLDB_ are still supported to provide backward compatibility. As a best practice, however, use the new API names for new applications unless you plan to run them in an earlier version of Oracle Application Express.
So you should not have any problems.

Question about the distribution of web service or servlet

Hello,
I don not know how to distribute a web servcie or servlet on the web server. I can only use this web service with the open state of the glassfish. If I close the glassfish server, the servlet cannot be accessed.
I just want the web service or the servlet to be disributed on the web server. Web service and the servlet are available when the web server is on.

Question about how HP handles customer service issues

I am the owner of three HP laptops. Two of which are dead now due to the defective Nvidia chips they contained. When I called HP to report this issue, I was told by numerous HP customer service reps that they were not aware of any issues with the Nvidia GPU or that there had not been a high number of recorded problems concerning this. It has been proven in numerous documents made public recently that this defect was known about and there had been a high frequency of this issue. I would like to know why I was told these falsehoods and treated the way I was?
I subsequently decided to dismantle one of the computer to investigate the GPU. Sure enough the epoxy that reinforces the BGA solder-joint was cracked in the chip was no longer making good electrical contact with the PCB. What I found really perplexing was the 1/4" gap between the GPU and the copper heat-sink that was intended to provide cooling. I would assume HP was responsible for the cooling and chassis design? I would also assume it as HP who filled this GAP will thermal foam. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The recall was for certain models, did you confirm that your model was one of them?
