Few questions about difference between Satellite P70 , L70, S70

Hello, i have many questions about the series P70 , L70, S70 that come with a 1920x1080 panel.
1) What are the differences between the L70 and S70 series? Except of the HDD capacity and RAM, the notebooks look pretty identical.
2) Do P70 , L70, S70 support a 2nd HDD or is it just the P70 series that support it ?
3) Do all three (P70, L70, S70 series) come with the same TFT Panels ?
4) Which of the above series supports mSata ?
5) Do all of the model of each series come with a mSata support? E.g. Could it be that L70-a-13m supports mSata while the L70-a-146 does not ?
6) All of the above, come with a S-ATA II or S-ATA III interface ?
7) Which is the best of those series listed ? I am trying to understand what makes the big difference from S70 to P70 except of the casing for example.

What Sat L70 and S70 models do you mean exactly? There are different L70-xxx and S70-xxx models on the market which supports different hardware specifications.

As you can see in this [Sat P70 HDD replacement document,|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3903II0000R01.htm] the P70 series supports 2nd HDD bay BUT even if there is an 2nd HDD bay this does not mean that you could use 2nd HDD. In case the 2nd HDD bay would be equipped with HDD connector, you could use the 2nd HDD
I found also the [Sat L70/S70 HDD replacement |http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm] document on Toshiba page and there I can see that 2nd HDD bay is not available

See point 1). Different P70, L70, S70 models were equipped with different hardware parts.

As far as I know only some P70 models are equipped with an 256GB mSATA-SSD.

I dont think that SATA III is supported. I guess it would be SATA II

Not easy to answer because there are too many models released in Europea.
And not all models are available in each country. So I guess you will need to look for models which were released in your country.

Question about printing by page count

Hi
I'm new to this and I have a question about printing our invoices by page count.
We generate our invoice using Crystal 2008 we have invoices that can range from a single page to as many as 6 pages. I would like Crystal to preview/print the reports in order of how many pages are in the report. Example: print all single page invoices first then all invoices that are 2 pages and so on. Is this possible?

Thanks for your input. This is more or less what Carl was suggesting yesterday and I gave it a lot of thinking. The problem here is that I cannot go with "good enough resolution" - I need perfect resolution.
The reason for this apparently silly requirement (why would one sort a bunch of invoices by number of pages instead of Customer Number, as long as they end up in an envelope anyway?) is the proposed purchase of a folding/stuffing machine which could do very fast what now takes one person 4 days to achieve.
One type of machine comes with three settings - fold/stuff 1, 2 or 3-page statements. You need to have three stacks with all the statements that have 1, 2 and 3 pages. The ones with more pages will have to be folded manually, but there are only about two dozen clients that give us that much business. You feed the machine one stack at a time and set it to process the respective number of pages. Any statement that falls accidentally in the other stack will either cause the whole rest of the stack to be mixed up, which is very bad, or cause one customer to receive his invoice and someone else's, which is just embarrassing. I cannot afford any of these scenarios.
Given that the statement contains variable-length (and depth) messages that vary by month and by profit center, and it could also contain one or more groups of details, each with its own header, it is very risky to try to come up with magic numbers attempting to estimate the number of pages based on the number of detail lines. Someone will still have to eyeball very carefully the initial stack of statements in the areas where the number of pages increases by one and make sure that ordering by number of detail lines did not mix, for example, one report with two pages among two reports with one page. Of course, this increased scrutiny will be necessary only around the areas where the page number transitions from 1->2, 2->3 and 3->4, which is much better than trying to order by number of pages all 1500 statements, but still depends on one's manual intervention and focus and, as a result, makes me pretty uncomfortable.
I have taken a look at the "Group Sort Expert". If you select the "All" option (all groups) and you had some kind of summary value then you could sort the report by that value. The idea was to create a hidden Average field over the TotalPageCount runtime variable (which will always equal the TotalPageCount for that customer, since it's the same for all the pages in that group) and use that summary field in the "Group Sort Expert", which would have solved the problem elegantly. Unfortunately, there is no way to create a summary field over a runtime variable. I even created a formula that just returns the TotalPageCount, but that formula did not show up in the list of fields available for summarization (while other formulas did).
It looks like the reporting engine does not allow this type of "late-sorting". I wonder if it is possible at all, because in effect this would require the engine to execute an additional pass: first it should somehow generate the whole report grouped by Customer Number so it knows how many pages are in each group, then it should sort by the number of pages and only after that it could render the report. I'm not sure the engine can do this additional pass.
I would be very curious to hear about the other (more complex) ideas you mentioned. For example, I have seen (in Crystal 2008) a checkbox allowing "sorting by a formula". I don't know how to write a formula used in sorting, but the basic question in the paragraph above still stands: does the engine even support such a feature?

and another simple html region which have a button
called "send_mail" there is a process which executed when i press this
button and of course i did branch to this button which brings me to the same page 74
my question is do the sqlquery report region run again when the page in
rendering? or the apex save it as cache? and if not is there a way that it won't run again but stay in cache like"save state" ? cause i saw only conditional display and not conditional process of sqlquery report?
the reason that i ask this cause the query is very heavy

APEX is using the PL/SQL Web Toolkit extensively. I don’t really know the differences between every version, and I don’t think it’s matter. In some cases, a new version can fix some bugs (like in the rendering process), in others, can add new features (like caching) and in general, making the code better (optimizing etc.). So, I can’t really give you a list of things you are missing, but I can assure you that not using the latest version can damage/degrade the quality of your system.
There is another problem with not meeting the pre-required installation terms, because usually people will assume you are. It can make debugging really hard. In your case, you were lucky that Scott asked you right away about the OWA version. Unfortunately, Scott is unique that way. Other (like you and me) can spent a lot of time trying to figure out why something is not working as expected, without knowing (remembering) that the only reason is a faulty infrastructure.
Is there a problem to install the latest version of the PL/SQL Web Toolkit? As far as APEX concern, it will not harm your 1.6 instance, and should not damage any other database functionality, so why not upgrade?

Question about "Create Item" page

Im working on trying to Insert a new item into a Self-Service Web Applications page.
As part of my research, I have been looking at this doc:

The document does not seem to go into much detail about how to Insert an item on a page. I also checked the "OA Component Reference" document.
I checked the online help via "Create Item Page" - e.g.

As part of my testing / research, I would like to add a new Item to a page, and have the value of the item to be taken from an existing SQL Query.

From looking at the "About this Page" link, I can see there is a View Object called "oracle.apps.icx.por.reqmgmt.server.ReqHeaderVO".
This ViewObject contains an Attribute called "NoteToAuthorizer" with a Type of "java.lang.String".
When I go to the "Create Item" page, and choose and Item Style of "Message Styled Text" there seems to be no way to say which database field you want to include.
From looking at a previous customisation that a developer did, I can see you can pull in an Attribute via the "View Attribute" field, and link in the VO via the "View Instance" field.
When inserting database values into a Self-Service page, can we only insert Attributes, and not any of the other regular fields from View Objects?

In OAF sql queries are represented by View Objects and columns of query will be represented by View Attribute.
For every column in query there will be corresponding view attribute name, so while adding any item on self service page which represents data from database you need to specify view instance name and view attribute name, which will specify which column and from which query it will show the data.
*"When I go to the "Create Item" page, I can't work out how to tell Oracle that the Item I want to create should be the "NoteToAuthorizer" field from the "ReqHeaderVO" ViewObject."* so ReqHeaderVO1 will be the instance(by default OAF generates instance like this) and "NoteToAuthorizer" can be mentioned in View Attribute name property.

Question about Safari default page

I have the default page in Safari to a "blank page," however every time when I re-start Safari it goes back to the last page viewed. How do I turn this feature off? I always want to go to the blank page when re-starting Safari.

Question about building a page in fireworks and 403 forbidden

Thanks for any input you can give me on this.
I've been trying to recreate a page from our website in fireworks. The page can be located here:

I'm kind of new to this, and I have been able to generally recreate the page in fireworks by copying the images and rebuilding based on dimensions. It is when I try to upload the page that I am running into problems.
Once I have the page looking how I would like it I have exported it and saved it as CSS and images. From there it looks like I should open it in dreamweaver which I have done, but i'm not really sure what to do there. It basically seems like people just use dreamweaver as the FTP client. I have tried this as well as uploading it through my own FTP client, and each time I get a 403 forbidden when I go to look at the page.
Any help here would be great. Just trying to figure out if I am not saving it properly in one of those two programs. It gives me an .htm file, a css file and a png file which I have uploaded onto the server into the folder that I need it to be in. Just keep getting that annoying 403!

First, Dreamweaver is much more than a glorified FTP client! Dreamweaver is a Web site authoring and management application. That is the program you should use to build your HTML, not Fireworks.
Fireworks is a Web layout/design and graphics production application. Fireworks can export HTML or HTML and CSS, but that export ability is intended to create mockups and prototypes, not live sites. The code Fireworks creates is...well...awful. You need to learn how to write HTML from scratch, not let a graphics program write it for you.
The single .png file is also not going to work for you. The page you link to has several separate images. You need to create slices on your Fireworks document and export them as individual images, which you then reference in the HTML.

In Fireworks, you use the slicing tool (looks like a green rectangle), to draw slices over the areas you want to export as individual images. These green rectangles appear in the Web layer. You can set the export properties of each slice separately. When you export, you can export all your images, or just the images from selected slices. And I really haven't said anything, so start with the help files, then post back with specific qustions.
As to your 403 error problem, it's something with the configuration of the server, it has nothing to do with Fireworks or Dreamweaver. Read these articles:

where {@some_value} contains national characters. And in ptk1 I have only question marks. If I use {@some_value} directly, for example <xsql:query ...> <![CDATA select ... where field={@some_value} ]]> </xsql:query> it works fine. I have

Is it possible to get set-page-param working with national chars?

You've identified a bug in how parameter values are retrieved. I've filed Bug#1920676 to get this fixed.
Currently character set conversion is done between the servlet engine's default character set and the character set of the XSQL page template. The bug occurs because the character set conversion is being done in certain circumstances when it is not actually required.
Will post a status update when we've identified a fix.

for divorcees and I'm not getting my forms to work form some
reason.
Actually, I've never been good at making forms work the way I
want them to. From the order of the itemes to what is shown, I'm
content with getting a big mess in the email from the form (in both
PHP and CGI Script. I wonder if there is a good tutorial online
somewhere? video tutorial? anything).
At anyrate, the one page I am working on is here:

Question about the setup page for WRT54G2

I haven't really tinkered much on my router since I had a friend installed mine a couple years back but I did remember him saying to check for updates on it's firmware once in a while. I did just that but I came at a rather confusing point in my update... namely I found that you can acceess the page by typing in 192.168.1.1 in thhe browser but before I found that I ran into this site first:

that site is just a demonstration of what the Linksys router's administration page looks like. it's basically for instructional purposes only. anything you do on that page WILL NOT affect your router settings.
on the other hand, accessing http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change your router's settings.

Question about refreshing the page with frames...

hi, my website uses three frames... (the standard main one, top and left frame)
but when i go to different pages on the site and press the refresh button it goes back to the homepage but i want it to just refresh the page in the 'main' frame.
i understand why its going back to the homepage... coz when i press refresh its refreshing the index.jsp page and thats where the frames are, so the location for the 'main' frame page is the homepage.
is there any way around this?
i just want it to refresh whatever page is in the 'main' frame.

You can do it, but it means storing the currently viewed page in the user's session, and maintaining those sessions at all cost.

Question about Pagination and Page Number Display

I am trying to figure out a way to display just part of the
pages if there are 50 or so pages. For examples if the user is on
page 20 I would like to the numbers to display like this:
1 ... 18 19
20 21 22 ... 50
I could do this through JavaScript I think, but I was
wondering if the library itself could do something like this.
Or if you already have something like this, send me the link
to your site. :)
www.kayak.com has a good example of this as well.

You can change the spry:if condition that may look like this:
spry:if="{ds_CurrentRowNumber} != {ds_RowNumber} &&
{ds_CurrentRowNumber} + 5 > {ds_RowNumber} &&
{ds_CurrentRowNumber} - 5 < {ds_RowNumber}"

Question about the front page of Timers Reader?

It is impressive to see the Timers Reader, implemented by AIR and TLF,
As we open the Timers Reader, the first page into your eyes are a bunch of top news headlines. I am trying to figure out how to create this by TLF ? is each headline a paragraph element of TextFlow or a container of TextFlow , or just a TextFlow ?

I would guess that each one is its own a little TextFlow. If you are using the Flex 4 SDK, there are documented methods of how to create horizontal list-type component like that with item renderers that utilize TLF to render the text. You could also create a very simple component that uses TLF directly by using a TextFlow with either a container controller or a text line factory to render the headline text within the component.

Question about tables in Pages

Is it possible to adjust the sizes of cells in a table?

It works just like it does in numbers, Tap in any cell and you will see two bars appear, one above the table and one to the left. Touch that bar above the column or next to the row you want to adjust and drag the right or bottom edge for height adjustment
