Question about google maps

when I press and hold on a place on a google map, a black popup comes up with the word "action" on it.what does this mean?

it seems to depend on what kind of content I place my finger, sometimes, there is some more info on the black pop up window, but no matter what I try, like sliding my finger, or clicking that black arrow pop up, nothing happens.

Questions about shared maps

Hi,
I have some questions about shared maps. Our Olite Applications has 96 tables. On these 96 tables, 54 tables are tables with DISABLED DML = UID. So, change on the client database are not uploaded to the server. Some of those tables have no where clause and some have a where clause which is the same where clause for all.
Is it true to say I could put all those tables as shared maps?
Are they automatically shared because DISABLED DML = UID?
What would be the advantages of putting those publications items as shared maps?

I looked into CMP$ tables and CLID$$CS is not 0 but egal to my usersnames. I use a java program to create my items and publications.
I also found in the table C$ALL_TEMPLATE_ITEMS a COLUMN named SHARED and they are all with the value N. So I think they are not shared.
I think I found where in the API I should make the table shared. It is in the addPublicationItem procedure of the Class ConsolidatorManager. I will try it.
If we want all users to have all the table data, must we use the groups you talked about?
If yes, how do i define those groups?

Questions about BLOG feature and about Google Maps Widget

Hi, just started using iweb & mobileme to take a break from dreamweaver & ISP host (I am so bored with both of them). iWeb 09 seems very VERY cool, but I chose a theme with a blog feature for a blog I am starting for our studio, and it works strangely. The entries are replicated in full on the blog home page, and that does not make sense. Read more? Why, you just read it all! Albeit in smaller print and different layout. But I am sure that I am missing something there:) Also, how do people comment on the articles? I see nothing there!
On google map, I want to add a pin but don't see how using the widget. It only gives me a google known address, which are few and far between in Nepal. So how do I fix that?

Any one have indea about Google Map for Cocoa Touch

Hi,
I m doing one real estate application in which i have to map the address and have to show google map with particular location using lat/lang or cityname etc.
I have created static map like "http://maps.google.com/staticmap?markers=37.2321357727051,-121.97282409668,blu es&size=400x400&zoom=12&key=MAPSAPIKEY".
But in which map is not move by mouse clicking and don't display information box with particular location.
Please help me if u have any solution ...............

Safari error about Google Maps API

On only one of my several macs, every time I go to a web page with an imbedded Google maps (like http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/service/), the page will not load properly, and I get an error message that says:
"The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This could be because the API key used on this site was registered for a different web site. You can generate a new key for this web site at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/."
When I go to the google maps web site that it gives instructions on how I can embed Google Maps into my own web pages.
This problem is only on one of my MAC systems. All others work fine. The first thing I tried was to clear my caches, but that did not work. Also, I get the same message when I go to a similar web page from a windows system running under VMWare Fusion.
Things to remember before you reply:
- This is not my web page. It is all web pages that have an imbedded Google maps.
- This happens only on my Intel MacBook. The problem does not happen on my Mac Mini, iMac, or Power Mac which are all on the same home subnet.
- This still happens when I visit another wireless web connection.
-It happens on all virtual Machines I run on this MacBook under VMWare Fusion, Including Win XP, Vista and Linux Fedora.
Therefore it is a problem with my MacBook, and not with any webpage.
I have even posted on the Google Maps API Google Group (http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API),
but they say I need to re-register my API for my web page.
Are there any other suggestions?

This question was never answered by apple or by Google, however, after upgrading to Snow Leopard, the problem has gone away.

What to do about google maps so so slow now ?

Using google maps now is so frustrating :very slippery zoom control :minutes to load street view :mysterious cuts to places way out .
Can I do anything about this ?

Its slow to boot
Rainbow spinning ball comes up frequently even when only Firefox is running
Freezes often
There's a slight clicking sound from the Hard drive
These are all indicators of imminent boot drive failure.
Backup just your users files folders (music, pictures, documents etc.,) off the boot volume A.S.A.P. and do NOT only count TimeMachine as your sole backup option as it's stupid and will restore corruption to your new boot drive.
Restore only your users files to the new drive + fresh OS X and programs for best results.
Most commonly used backup methods
Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
Install/upgrade RAM or storage drive in Mac's

IPhone Dev question Parsing Google maps

Hi I am trying to parse url data from google maps. I want to get a list of businesses.
I was trying to use the NSXMLParser class but the output of the url is not in xml format.
I want to parse out the business lists on the left half of this link.

The question about Interface Mapping in BPM

Hello,
I am a few confused about an Interface Mapping in BPM at the Design step.
I have a task to transmit and trasform two messages of two sender file adapter to two IDOCs messages and then to send them to SAP system.
I use BPM.
But I don't understand what types of message interfaces should I use for source and target interfaces in Interface Mapping? As to the target interface I understand it must be abstract but which of interfaces exactly?
Actually there are some questions here:
1) If the source interface should be abstract or real in Interface Mapping?
2) If the target interface should be the abstract interface of Receive Step object or the abstract interface of Send Step object?
3) And what the message types should I use for the source and target message interfaces in Interface Mapping? If I understand correctly that these message types

you have to import the IDOC Types under the imported objects in the integration repository objects,
what are all the data that coming out from the file adapter, you design the datatype.
the target IDOC should be real and you do the mapping for the all necessary fields.

Question about scrolling map

i want to start some sort of game in java... and the only thing i really dont understand is graphics, so i figure i'd ask a question and maybe someone could point me in the right direction. i tried looking stuff up on google, but nothing that was revliant (sp) was returned.
basically, im trying toget some sort of moving map going on. ie, those games that has a big map, and as u move the map changes scenes (think grand thieft auto 1 and 2)

That's a though point for a beginner! I will not publish any code because it's too long but if you want some I'll send it to you via mail. The basic point is to build a map with square tiles ( I suppose you're able of doing sprites? If not, you should concentrate on sprites first ) that build a grid. First make a code that scrolls the map when hitting the arrows. I use an 2D array of ints that represent the tiles. e.g.:
int[][] tile=new int{
{0,1,2,3},
{0,1,2,3},
{0,1,2,3}
this code may be wrong, just correct it ;)
then when the image has to be drawn, make a double for statement that draws tiles from the scrolling position where the player is to the limit of the screen. e.g.:
for(n=posX; n<posX+4; n++){
for(i=posY; i<posY+4; i++){
// draw tile[n] at n*100 by i*100
this code assumes you have 100x100 tiles that must fill a viewport smaller than 400x400. Then you will be able to add code that will enable smoother scrolling.

Question about key mapping for bank data in SP3 standard Vendor Repository

Hello Colleagues:
The situation is the following:
1) MDM Standard vendor repository does not use Key Mapping for the qualified table data "Bank Details". This makes sense because normally you would pay a vendor in the same account and bank regardless of the company or R/3 system you are paying him from.
2) However, here in my project customer don't have the same bank data for all of the 3 R/3 Systems. Furthermore, they would like to pay a vendor in a diferent bank and account number; depending on where the payment is generated (Company or R/3 system).
Because of this, I though about creating a lookup table for the banks which would use key mapping. I did this and I had no trouble importing bank data in to it.
Now I have this tables:
1) Banks: Lookup Flat:
Country and Bank Key as display fields.
2) Bank Details: Qualified Flat:
2.a) Field "Bank" as a non-qualifier display lookup field which points to a record on "Banks" table (Described in number 1).
2.b) The rest of the fields (Account number, Account holder, Reference, etc.) as qualifier non-display fields.
This aproach works well in data manager.
However, when I try to import vendors from R/3, I'm not being able to map the bank details, not even with "compound field" functionality, because I cannot map the display fields in the "Banks" lookup table (Described in number 1); in the "Map Fields/Values" tab in the Destination fields pane, it won't show any fields from this table.
Also, I'm not very sure if I will be able to syndicate this data back to the R/3 systems correctly, this is; replicate only the banks which exist on each R/3 client system.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem? Please help.

Best MMORPG for Iphone 3G and a question about gps maps

Could anyone tell me what are the best free and paid iphone 3G MMORPG games? And please tell me some positive and negative things in the games.
I didn't know where i could ask this so, i came here to apple forum, because i have subsribed to internet on iphone today. This topic doesn't have anything illegal.
Another thing, does anyone knows if using gps maps through 3g internet, spends a lot of internet trafic? today i've used gps maps for about 12km and it spend me 80kb of trafic. Is this possible? because someone told me that iphone gps spend a lot, but really lot internet trafic. I didn't used sattelite view.

The sattelite view uses far more data, of course - because of the photography it has to download. But the regular map is still a bitmapped image that has to be updated. It's not a massive amount of data, but not insignificant either.

Question about F10 mapping in Tom W. training video

I started going through Tom's FCE4 HD training video yesterday and there's a part about mapping the F10 key so that it will insert a clip into the timeline. It appears the video was an earlier version of OS X because my system doesn't do the expose action on F10, mine toggles the sound on/off. Also the icon in the video where he makes a change to the key doesn't exist anymore. What I have in system preferences is something called expose/spaces so I looked there since the one he was using also had expose. But changing the F10 to be Option F10 there didn't seem to have any effect.
I've only had the Mac a week so I'm not familiar with how all these key mappings work and are assigned but I will be quick learner.
Thanks for any help if someone can tell me where I need to make this setting change.

You have one of the new aluminum keyboards which are similar to laptop keyboards. The DVD was made before those keyboards were widely used. There was a mention I thought about using laptop keyboards. Go to the Keyboard section in System Preferences and in the keyboard panel there is a check box you have to click on. That will activate the F keys for application use. To raise and lower the audio or do other keyboard functions assigned to them by the OS, you have to hold down the function key, which is marked FN.

Question about message mapping

When I use the visual mapping tool, I specify the condition that:
<SourceValue> equalsA 1, <TargetValue> value is 1; else it's 0.
However in the source XML, sometimes source XML is like:
<Root>
</Root>
where there's no SourceValue element. And now the mapping has exception. Then I try to use IsNil functionality, however then another exception saying "cannot cast '' to decimal" occurrred.
Is there a way for me to judge in the mapping so that I can pass through, e.g., when there's no this element, the target value is also 0.

Another Question About Google AdSense

Can you choose the ads you put in or does Google do it automatically on publishing?
I have added it to both my sites and started by putting two boxes on either side of one page, however when I published only one box appeared.
I have changed it now, but the ads that have been added do not really have anything to do with my sites. What can I do and how can I change it?

You may think it's a joke but much of that thought process is because you probably don't fully understand how the program works.
Ooops, sorry about that Mireille. That's what happens when I respond in the middle of the night after finally putting a crying baby to sleep. LOL
Just to make sure you saw the same site, it's www.NaturalHandyMan.com . ALL of his money now comes from Google Adsense. When he first started the site, he accepted outside advertising in addition to advertisers from Google. Not too long later, he opted out of that and now only uses Google Adsense. I can ensure you that's where all of his income is made - Google. If I didn't know of his site and experiences first-hand, I would have thought his income is exaggerated but it's not. I also know he's spent a significant amount of time building his site (look at how many articles there are!). Then again, he also collects articles from other people. I know, if it's so great why am I not doing it? Well, actually I am in the process of becoming more educated about the program, what works and what doesn't, have built the shell for my new site to post my book on it, and will continue working on it. I certainly don't think it's as simple as putting up a small amount of content then expect to make lots of money. In fact, it's a lot of work.

Question about google search and icons on iphone interface icons.

Hey everyone. I noticed that I can look up images on google but nothing comes up when I do a web search on anything I got what I needed from yahoo but the page just stays blank on Google. I restarted my iphone with no luck. Has anybody else noticed this issue or is it a preferences setting? My second question is, can I get rid of things I don't want on my iphone interface like the weather or stocks programs (icons). Thanks for the help.

Thanks for getting back to me. What I meant by my first question is, when I go into Safari and then select google in the bookmarks I can't get a result when I enter a key word in the search field on the Google page. I touch the search window and the keyboard pops up. I put in something I want to search for and nothing happens. Any ideas would be great.
