Question about IME reports

How can I automate report generation with IME? I would like to schedule reports and have them emailed. I can not find anywhere this proccess can be automatic.

Quick question about bug reports

Hi all,
I was just reading the reporting bug guidelines (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Re … Guidelines) and was wondering about the section "Upstream or Arch?".
I'm not an expert on the particular package I want to file a bug against, so I have no idea whether the problem is upstream or Arch. Should I just go ahead anyway? I cannot find a similar bug on any upstream bug trackers.

If you're not sure, try a quick post on the forums.
In general, once you've used your google-fu you should know whether the problem is distro-specific. Its normally highly unlikely that you'd be the first in the world to run into a real bug (if no-one else has reported anything, its likely user error, especially if you're not using [testing]).

Simple Question about BW reports p&l and balance sheet

Can u PLEASE clarify if 0GL_ACCT HAS two nav attribute which can be used as filter P&L Account and Balance sheet Account to distingush the between the p&l and BAl sheet
but now user want one field like "psbl" which will write on report either pl or bs
please tell how to make the field as free characteristic so that it will pop as pl or bs once user click on it .i will reward all points after this small help

Question about Crystal Reports 4.0 and "cross database joins"

Hi everybody,
in Crystal Reports 2008 we could use the cross database joining feature to put two or more BEx queries via MDX into one report and join them within Crystal Reports. We know that this might lead to performance problems but for some scenarios this was the only solution.
Now with Crystal Reports for Enterprises 4.0 the whole connection to SAP systems will change. Will we have a chance to make one report agains two or more BEx queries any other way than using subforms. The latter will not fit our needs.

Crystal Reports 4.0 is in RampUp right now. In case you are interested in the details I would suggest you join the RampUp.

Question about Crystal Reports and SAP 2007

Good day experts,
I am in the process of creating a Cross Tab report in Crystal Reports, When I get to the screen Cross Tab Report Creation Wizard, any UDFs contained within the source Stored Procedure are not available for selection.
I have tried adding other UDFs to the Stored Procedure and they are also not available.
Is this correct? To me a UDF is just another field in the SAP table.

Hi OB........
The UDFs you created and taken into the Query you have to cast it into nvarchar. And then only it will show it in your crystal......
Try this Cast(U_UDF as nvarchar) put your UDF code in place of UDF........

Question about Activity Reports

Hi,
I tried to use Activity Reports on our Portal to find out the each instance is doing, but the iView does data aggregation. Does anyone know how can we obtain statistics on dialog instance's activities? I was hoping the report would give me details on
1. how many requests did the instance server during a specified time frame
2. what activities did the instance do during a specified time frame

The details regarding the Dialog Instance that you require can be attained by the following activities -
Dialog Overview Monitor - You can use this monitor to check the most important values for the SAP dialog system and the number of users logged on, broken down by application server.
Features include -
1) Dialog Response Time

According to your description, you have some questions about your report design.
1. How to have non-duplicating child info?
In this scenario, since you don't want to hide the duplicate data, we suggest you filter the duplicated records on query level by using Distinct statement. If you want to do it on report level, you can group
records on chid id and use First() function on other fields.

2. How to have various sections that contain fields with numerous values?
We can also add these fileds into the child group of child and have them toggled by child id.
Reference: Add an Expand/Collapse Action to an Item (Report Builder and SSRS)
3. How to add a page break between each child?
Right click on the Row Group(child id)->Page Break->Select between each group instance.
Reference: Add a Page Break (Report Builder and SSRS)
4. How to select multiple child id when rendering report?
When creating parameter, select Allow multiple values in General.

In any of the report, in the 'Before report Trigger' add the following code to execute any number of reports.
srw.run_report('report=test1.rdf destype=file desformat=pdf desname=test1.pdf');
srw.run_report('report=test2.rdf destype=file desformat=pdf desname=test2.pdf');.....
Like this, you can add any number srw.run_report (this built-in package will run the report with the given parameters), so that you can able to run any number of reports by running a single report.

Question about PL/SQL Function in report

Hi all. I have a (basic) question about using a PL/SQL function in a report. In my report page I have an item (PL/SQL function) that has the following syntax:
return username from t1
where username like 'Le%'
I reference this item in an email process. Ideally this function would return all usernames that begin with 'Le' in the drafted email; however, its not looping so I'm only getting a return on the first name.
I have a few books on PL/SQL but I'm not exactly sure where to start - I imagine there is a loop process I need to integrate into the function but, like I said, I'm not sure.
I would have posted this to the PL/SQL forum but also wanted some feedback on whether or not using this method is the best way forward. Essentially I have a table with usernames and just want to send email messages based on some simple logic.

To be more specific,
T1 is a table containing the results from a user security scan. Username is a column in this table containing user names. What I have done is create a page in HTML DB with the following elements:
1. An 'Item' containing the PL/SQL function that is hidden. The purpose of this Item is to generate information from T1 that meets the simple logic parameters - in this case, the user names that begin with "Le". I have called this Item P145_TT
2. A 'Process' containing references to HTMLDB_MAIL. The 'Process' looks similar to this:
HTMLDB_MAIL.SEND(
P_TO => '[email protected]',
P_FROM => 'Anon Email Account',
P_BODY => 'Note: This message was automatically generated. Do not attempt to reply to this email.
These are the users that begin with Le: '||:P145_TT||' ',
P_SUBJ => 'Summary');
3. A 'Button' to submit the process and (hopefully) send the message containing all users that adhere to the logic in the function.
4. If I use 'return username from t1...' I will get a username generated, but like I said previously, it only gives me the first and does not loop.

Question about reports in sap fs-cd

I have got a question about SAP FS-CD (collection and disbursement)
If I make changes to the master data (FPP2) is there a way to view the changes I have made in a report.
It is possible to view the changes via tables but I was wondering if there is a standard transcation code in SAP-CD to view the changes

Question about Missing Timecard Report

I have a question about Missing Timecard Report. As I aware when we run it it will only pull employee who has Timecard required = 'Yes' in the GRE of assignment.
I just run it and it pull all employee regardless they have Timecard required = 'Yes' set or not.

After I Changed locale to chinese in Linux, I can not seen chinese in Oracle Enterprise manager. So, I think my lunux box can not support Chinese .
When I run my report on windows2000 (Chinese version) application server, I can not see chinese character. But after I edit the uifont.ali and copy ARIALUNI.TTF to $reports_path, I can see chinese character.

Question about reports layout

Hi ,
I have a quick question about report Layout.
I have created a report in 6i. Now if I want to change my
select statement and add new table to select from , it just
restructures my report layout again and set that to Default One.
Is there any way where I can set my Own layout as Default for
that particular Report ?

Try to give it alias names to the columns . Then when you
change the table your are selecting from . The layout should
not change.

Question about setting Rows to "All" for defualt Interactive Report

I have a default report with 2 user requirements that I have some questions about.
1. The report in the data sould be 90 days old.
2. The report show "All" rows.
First to set the date I have this page process:
apex_util.ir_clear(p_page_id => 2);
apex_util.ir_filter(p_page_id=>2,
p_report_column=>'REQUISITION_DATE',
p_operator_abbr=>'GTE',
p_filter_value=>SYSDATE - 90);
I also set the rows to "All" and save the report to be the default. However I think when the "apex_util.ir_clear(p_page_id => 2)" is executed it clears someting and my report opens with rows set to "15".
Any ideas on this or even a better way to do it?
