Question about LIVE slide show

Hi,
I use keynote for my live presentation slide to slide...sometimes i need to jump the slide to the other slide immediately by hit the number of slide that i wish to jump to (say from slide 2 i wish to jump to slide 26 for the next slide ,i just hit the number 26 and enter i'll be there on the spot)
Question,
when i hit the number of the next slide as the above example, keynote will show a slide bar on the top that will show on the screen that i projected as well...how do i avoid the "slide bar" when i hit the number26?
Sorry for the complicated description above...cause,i really don't know how to descript the situation that i facing...haaaa...hope you all can understand..and give me some tips to solve it!!!!

Question 1 - Yes, exactly.
Question 2 - Rehearse Slideshow mode shows you what the Presenter Display will look like when you are in Play Slideshow mode, but for situations when you only have one monitor. A good example use case is when you are on an airplane and you want to rehearse your slideshow (hopefully not out loud) and you obviously only have your laptop monitor to work with. This way you can get used to working with the Presenter Display. When you go to Play Slideshow mode, it will look exactly the same, only your audience will be seeing your finished slideshow without the notes, Slide Browser, etc. from the secondary display output.

What kind of banding? Do you have a screenshot?
It could be jpg compression related, I think the previews are all jpgs.

Good day iWeb list,
All of a sudden the Play/Pause, Back and Forward buttons for my slide shows have turned into a generic looking blue question marks.
I noticed one other user having a similar issue a while back, and I believe the remedy was to re-publish the entire site. I've tried that to no avail. Resetting cache has not affect as well.
Any thoughts?

I've noticed that safari 4 sometimes does the ? thing with images... almost like it doesn't finish loading sometimes. Not sure if it's provider traffic or safari related but it can be annoying.

Well I took it off the site i was working on and just placed one picture there now- I made it in go live with quick time - very simple - followed a tutorial from a site by Terry White (I believe) - - worked fine on safari on my mac machine but not on windows vista on my friends computer - not an expert - do a few sites for friends and he wanted a slide show - I opened up quicktime in go live and presto - It worked......
any help is grateful - and I am surprised you couldn't read my mind:)

How can I have a live slide show via Apple TV?

I've got a second gen Apple TV with the latest sw and iTunes is updated as well. I can play a slide show from Apple TV sourced from a folder on my Mac just fine. However, when I add an image to the folder, the running slide show does not pick it up. I need to stop the slide show and restart it again for the image to be included.
is there a way that the slide show can pick up files as they are added to the folder? I would rather not stop and start the slide show every time a photo is added to the folder. Any other ideas of how I can do this?

Wmv to be play on a mac question; MS Photostory3 slide show usability

There was a woman who posted this note... and before I could answer, somebody set the note to "answered" so I couldn't reply. It was certainly not answered. The text was:
My son's school has started using Microsoft's Photostory3 to convert school event images into slide shows. As Photostory3 apparently uses an Image codec, Flip4Mac can't run the resulting wmv file. Craig on the Telestream forum says, 'Nothing on the Mac can play Image or Screen codec.' I can't see another save option on the staff member's pc that would allow any other save format. Does anyone know if there is an easy (and free?) software they could use that would be cross platform?
My answer is: It's true you cannot play a wmv file on a mac. A workaround is to use a free converter to convert it to a usable format, for example a Quicktime movie which has the extension .mov
One such converter is called FLV CRUNCH. google for it and give it a try. Good Luck!

If the person has an up to date system, they probably have the flip4mac plug-in, which allows macs to play most WMV files. Older macs may or may not have WMP. If they don't have it, I'm not sure you can still download it-Microsoft has stopped issuing it and recommends flip4mac instead. You will aslo find a fairly substantial number of mac folks who will not do Windows media under any circumstances whatsoever, I'm afraid.
All macs can play QT files, but again, if you want to use H264, the person would need to have a fairly recent version of QT installed.
A potential problem is that macs last a long time, so there are still many people using the old OS 9 operating system from 8 or nine years ago, and apple stopped issuing updates for that system a long time ago. Also, there are some WMV codecs that have never been released for anything but windows.

Few questions about live cycle 9.0 es2. Opened pdf made from indesign.

I am new to live cycle. I took a pdf which I created in InDesign. I have some questions so I may finish editing it in LiveCycle. When I go to group text by dragging the mouse using the field tool, some remains in text boxes, other text remains in light outlined boxes. I would like it to all group and stay within one box for editing. Also, I see no white space to move the text to to edit it off to the right of the form like in InDesign. Nor can I find a way to create a blank page to move the text to to do more editing if I would like. I also did not see a duplicate spread option to create a copy of the page I am editing. There is blurry and clear text after I opened the pdf in Live Cycle. How do I make it all clear? This includes an eps logo at the top of the page. How do I do copy and paste in place. Can I insert a pdf page after I am done edit this pdf page in LiveCycle? CAn brcodes take on alphanumeric, not just 1's and 0's? Thanks.

I tried to install ACF but I have NW04s SP16, and the ACF is only SP11.
So when I install that, it only shows a blue screen with "I am the placeholder control"
When I install ACF SP19 for NW04, the PDF shows again, but I still can't use the buttons or dropdowns. Is this normal?

Main questions----
I need to create a form with a few fields (of which some fields are mandatory); then I have to use a few BAPI's to check these fields and to save the content in a CRM system.
I've installed Netweaver Sneak Preview, and configured Adobe Document Services (made ADSUser & ADSCaller, set IIOP etc to Autostart, Installed the credentials). The tests seem to work fine, but I haven't developed anything yet.
My questions:
1) What about the ACF?

Question about live GB performance

Hey guys, may name is Gary and for the Armenian Genocide on Monday the 24th, I am required to play live for a large audience at UC Irvine. Now I am a major fan of Garageband and I love armenian music so I have composed a few armenian style tracks using GB.
My question is this: Will GB be able to handle the live performance? For my songs, this is my setup...There are about 5-6 tracks (Shimmering Strings, Beats, Guitars, Strings, Vox's, etc) that are basically the harmony to the music b/c I will play the piano part (the main melody for the songs) live and in person.
The way I did this was the following: Everything is set (the harmony and backup instruments) and all I do is just select the "Grand Piano On Stage" and play that.
At the beginning when i was rehearsing this, I had trouble b/c my G4 12-inch PB would quit while I was playing, but since I am locking every track (except for the piano) I have had good experiences with no hiccups...
Okay, is this a good way of doing things? At max I will be playing 3 pieces (2 of them is what I have described above and the last piece is a solo piano classical arrangement).

If it were me I'd probably export the song to iTunes, play the backing music (live) with iTunes and just play the Piano using GB's software instrument.

Question about live streaming screen capture

Hi,
at my office we conduct live video broadcasts using widows media encoder, and we're working on moving away from it to a newer method, which most likely will be something flash related.
how the procedure is done today is that a user logs in the windows media encoder program, starts the broadcast, the broadcast starts building an asf file in the server people watch, our users get the link and they join. once the broadcast is finished, the host that did the broadcast exits and saves the file, in the video server. the broadcast is a screen capture presentation of what a host has in his computer.
I want to achieve this or something similar, using a broadcast on flash streaming, so that both, users can log to a link we provide to them, the video server saves the file (preferably as .flv) and of course the broadcast is done nice and smoothly without interruptions or gaps (or at least with a minimum amount).
my question would be,
what process do you guys use to broadcast ? say other members. I'm talking about a simultanous broadcast for about 200 people, I guess it's similar to the numbers that you handle.
I'm pretty wide open on slight modifications on the process, such as maybe the host of the broadcast, saving the broadcast file in his computer and uploading it into the video server afterwards, although I would pprefer of course if it's pushed directly.
resources that I have available:
we have a windows media server -the one we're using right now, and we also have an adobe flash media server, with full license. we have a flash encoder but so far we haven't been able to figure out how to maintain a screencapture broadcast. it works, but only for about 2 minutes and then the player stops reproduction of the broadcast, however the encoding still goes on.
so, while you can answer my request, if you can talk about your broadcasting experience, on broadcasting screen capture...
I am open to all recommendations and suggestions, and I am thankful to all your responses.

Question about Live Update....

I'm reading about the whole live update process and I have a question regarding using it as a hardware upgrade medium. I need to swap out the primary boot drive in a sparc system with a larger drive. I've created a new boot environment on an external drive and I want to move it in in place of the current boot drive. Sounds like what I would do is create it then activate it, swap the drives and it should work, am I correct in this assumption? Seems I would not want to activate on boot though as when I physically swap these drives the external will assume the scsi ID, controller etc of the former boot drive, correct?

Question about Visited slide variables

Hi All,
I have seen an effect in a scorm course that I would like to replicate, unfortunatly it was not in Captivate.
I would like a button to contain a table of contents to appear when you hover over a button/image. Next to the title of the slide I would like a tick to show if the user has visited the slide or not.
There are 20 slides in my module and to represent this I would like 20 small squares at the bottom of each slide. Is it possible for them each to be a button that a) takes user to corresponding slide, b) Is red if it is the slide they are looking at, and c) Is blue if they have visited it as now they can technically jump to any slide.

Aside from using the Table Of Contents (TOC) feature, Captivate doesn't really offer anything like this.
If you want to be adventurous, you could construct something like that using images and variables and Advanced Actions to hide and show the images.

Question about eth0 not showing up in my OEL Linux 6 install on VirtualBox

Hi folks,
I'm using the latest Virtual Box VM software. I've installed O Enterprise Linux 6. This is on m laptop. My laptop uses a wireless network connection. I want to make the wireless network card work in my OEL 6 virtual host when it boots up. In VirtualBox, I've configured the Network to be Bridged and selected the Wireless device. I then click the Advanced and select PCnet-FAST III (Am79C973) for Adapter type.
When I boot up the linux host, I only have an lo network adapter. There is no eth0. I don't have a lot of experience with this so I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong or if this is expected and I have to then setup an eth0 device once the OS is booted.
Any help is greatly appreciated

This seems to be at least your third recent post about working with an OS on Virtualbox.
I suggest you find the forums at the Virtualbox site and ask your question over there.
The users over there will be better prepared to discuss such topics.

from ASA show isakmp sa, i can find some SA Type is user,some SAs type is l2l
all ipsec vpn configured type on this ASA is L2L, why the type of SA is user under some SA,
what is means of type is user?

we have many ipsec vpn connection configuration, same config, but only some of them showing Type: User,
I find when ipsec connection not in active state. show isakmp sa show Type:user.
is this a default state.
I haven't found detail explanation from CCO ASA document?

A question about HD TV shows in the iTunes store

hi,
are the HD shows for sale in itunes really only for watching on a HD TV via apple tv? do they look and sound on better on a MAC or ipod than SD video.

When you buy an HD episode, iTunes downloads both the HD and the SD version. You can watch the HD version on your Apple TV. You watch the SD version on your computer or iPod. The HD version won't transfer to the iPod.

What programs do you recommend for on-line presentations using my MacBook Pro? It appears that MAC Office does not support Live Meeting through Entourage. Thank you.
