Question about MMS PICTURE messaging

I have t-mobile and i own a blackberry 8100 and when i try to access the MMS on my phone
to send a picture it is not an option, does t-mobile support MMS
MY plan includes unlimited text and picture messaging, how can i get MMS on my phone?

Sending and Receiving picture messages is a common phenomenon. But still it varies from carrier to carrier. You're in T-mobile USA or UK? As far as I know tmobile UK supports picture messaging. Check your carrier’s web site to know details of it.

A (hopefully new) question about MMS

OK - I have a question about MMS messaging and using email as a work-around.
I understand that I can send picture messages via email, and I have been doing so successfully. However, some friends will be traveling internationally and we would like to be able to send pictures back and forth.
Doesn't this mean they are going to end up paying approx. $4 per picture message because of data use charges rather than the $1.30 per message flat rate AT&T charges for regular international MMS messages because it is being sent as an email to me at [email protected]?

If you have an iphone, and they send to [email protected], you'll be getting a text that points you to the at&t site to pick up your mms. If they send it to your regular email address, then you'll receive it as a regular email when you check your email on your phone. I assume that's what you've been doing, but perhaps I misunderstand.
As for them, if they have iphones, they shouldn't use MMS, but instead find a wifi spot and send a regular email. Then they pay nothing for it. If they send over EDGE, then it's going to incur data charges.
If they are NOT using an iphone, and can send MMS messages, then they can send to you via MMS using the $1.30 flat rate charge (since AT&T will charge based on the sender, not on whether you're picking it up on an iphone or not).
For what it's worth, if they have AT&T, they can send to "121" and put your regular email address in as the first line, and you'll get it by email instead of a text pointing you to at&t's mms site.
I hope that makes sense.

[SOLVED] Question about GCC error messages.

I'm currently taking a course in C programming, and I have a question about the error messages returned by GCC.
When ever i try to compile a program containing syntax errors, i get cryptic and not very helpfull error messages.
If i try to compile:

int i;
i = 0
return 0;
I get following from GCC:
error.c: In function â:
error.c:8:2: error: expected â before â
But shouldn't the message be something like:
error.c: In function 'main':
error.c:8:2: error: expected ; before 'return'
or am I mistaken?

Woah. That is very strange. I've never seen that before.
I assume you're using Arch Linux. What text editor did you use to write the code? Which terminal application are you using?
...those questions are probably unrelated to the problem, but we might as well get them out of the way.

I cannot send MMS/picture message and I cannot send picture message through facebook too. Please help me I have check the use packet data from mobile network.

If you were trying to send them over Wifi, that may be the reason. For mms, you have to use the network data connection, it won't work on Wifi.

Problem sending MMS/Picture messages

Wondering if anyone else is having this problem:
I'm finding that if i try to send someone a picture message along with a typed message, as soon as i hit send i get a little message saying its converting and then it just stays stuck on "sending". It never actually sends the message.
I realized this two days later when a friend said they had not received my text. I resent the picture without a typed message and then they suddenly received BOTH pictures (the original with the message and the new one).
Sounds like a weird software to me? Any thoughts?

Thank you everyone for reporting this issue. I can understand that it would be frustrating to have to try multiple times to send the same message. I have a Nexus myself and tried with a few other Nexus' here and was not able to duplicate the issue. Since there are multiple people having this issue, I will escalate this issue to our product team to further investigate this issue. I will need more details to troubleshoot. Do you notice this only happening in a certain location? Does it happen when picking up 3G, 4G or both? Do you get an error message or what exactly happens when trying to send MMS? Does this happen only when the signal is low, or with full signal?
Also, try removing the battery and SIM card for about 30 seconds. Toggle airplane mode and network mode for a few seconds, then retest.

for someone to send me a picture message, they need to send it to [email protected]
do they need to open an email program on their phone or can they just put that address in the "TO" field of their text message program?
and do i receive it as an email with an attachment?

No this trick is a one way trick for you to send it
They would send it to your phone number or email to your phone with whatever email isp you are using if they can send email from their phone. If they send you a MMS picture you will get a link to goto viewmymessages.com which is probally the only website on the internet still using a 14.4 dialup modem

Old MMS (picture messages) have a blue question mark. New picture messages show up fine.

So my phone died last night and when I charged it back up, all of the Old picture and video messages just had a blue question mark as shown in the picture. I NEED some of the old pictures from my brother in law. New pictures are working just fine.
I have tried:
Resetting Network settings
Resetting all settings and setting up the phone again
Turning off iMessage and turning it back on
Turning off MMS and turning it back on.
Any ideas how I can restore these photos.

I have the exact same problem Is there anyone who has a solution to this problem?

Question about transfering pictures and videos to my iPad

I just found out that I am getting an iPad as a birthday present, which is cool and all but I never ever even thought about owning one, the main reason is because I already own a pretty good laptopp with a good enough hard drive and the reasn why I love this is because when I go on vacation or whatever, I can take my Samsung camcorder which records in 1080p (mp4 files) and has a pretty decent 60gb hard drive but recording in HD requires a lot of space so whenever I run out of space in the cam corder, I just unload all the videos to my laptop in my hotel room and start again from sracth, that way I can come back home with 80 to 90gb worth of high definition vacation footage.
Now that I am geting an iPad, I want to use it as a laptopp replacement, it fits every category perfectly except the one I just mentioned, which leads me to my question.
If I purchase the usb adapter to transfer pictures and videos to the ipad, will this recognize my samsung camcorder? I dont remember the model as I dont have it here but it records in HD and the format is .mp4 so I don't see why I shouldnt.
the iPad I am getting is most likely the 64gb version, which is still pretty low on HD space compared to a regular laptop but if I take an empty ipad (no music and very few movies) to my vacation, I guess I still have a good 50gb or so to dump all my videos from my cammera and unless I am on a long vacation, I shouldnt have any trouble about running out of space but all of this would be moot if my iPad wont even recognize my camcorder in the first place. I don't even care if the iPad wont play the 1080p files properly (does it?) all I care about is if the ipad can at least store them until I get back home and transfer them to a real computer, thanks!

I'm not saying NO your iPad won't work with your camera, but you are clearly going to run out of storage space quickly, so it hardly matters.
I would try to convince you that you should think of your iPad as something to consume and share your media with, not store it. Keep using your laptop. BUT as you go through your photos and videos each night during vacation, throw the best ones onto your iPad to show your friends and family the next day. You can even set it up to down convert the videos for transfer to the iPad without losing the original 1080p files.
If the iPad DOES work with your camera (probably just photos), then you could do a quick transfer of selected photos and use the iPad to review them in the field (instead of your camera's screen). But I'd clear them off pretty regularly and just do proper transfers to the ipad of just the best stuff.
But anyway, everyone gets to use technology however they want. I don't think the iPad sounds right for what you want to do, but that's your call - why not give it a try.
(ever considered using mobile me or another cloud solution to store your photos. You can password protect them, upload from your iPad, and retrieve from your iPad (with mobile me and some other choices).

Cannot send or receive MMS picture messages or emailed picture messages

I have Sprint as my provider. This has been going on for three weeks now. I called Sprint to find out why this was all of a sudden happening on my phone and my husbands phone since we both have the 8330 Curve. They said it has been an on-going problem with Blackberry having an "outage". I don't know how true this is, but apparently on this site and on Crackberry.com several people with several types of blackberries are having this same issue. Has anyone else heard??
I have tried the battery thing, updating my software, cleaning my cache and cookies... Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions besides throwing this phone out a window??

"Can't send", as in you don't have the function to SEND when you press the Menu key, or what?
If you receive an MMS message, is the picture or media file not attached?

And no, it is not an "outage" of any sort, believe me if it were and going on for three weeks, you would hear a LOUD hue and cry from across the US. Sprint is just passing the buck, when they need to be looking deeper and/or escalting the issue for proper attention.

Question about "Linked" pictures and how to get rid of them?

I have recently upgraded from a 2011 MacBook Pro to a 2013 MacBook Pro and there is a picture under Users & Groups when you go to change the display picture under "Linked" that I can't get rid of, while that isn't really an issue even though I would like to get rid of it if possible, every time I change my picture on Messages, when I close the application and come back into it, that linked picture is my display picture again. Any suggestions?

MMS picture message test

I just found that my iPhone finds the E-mail for the phone# I sent a picture to!
Can someone test this out?
List of things I did for this to work:
1. Have the 10 digit # in my contacts
2. Sync my iPhone to the PC
3. Select a picture to send and start entering the # and not the name in the to field. You'll see the #'s E-mail in grey as a selection.

MMS/ Picture Messaging

Does the new iPhone support MMS??? If no, WHY? This is a normal function that all phones being produced in our world of technology have. I have a original iPhone that I purchased almost a year ago. And when the warrenty is up, I'm just thinking about getting a blackberry. Just because the iPhone does not support normal fetures. What are the pros and cons if I do this? Also, if i chose to go with another type of phone, will I still be able to use the iPod part of the iPhone?
