Question about MP3

I have MP3's on my computer that I have converted to (AAC) and I want to burn them to a disc from iTunes. Can you do this? If so, how?

Yes you can do this with iTunes. If you want to make a audio CD to play and listin to just make a playlist of the songs you want and then hit the "burn" button at the top right corner of iTunes.
If your wanting to make a data CD for backing up your AAC songs, goto preferences in the edit menu and select the sub tab "Burning" under advance. there you can switch it from burning audio CDs to burning Data CDs

I currently have two dell computers one laptop and one desktop. I am planning on going to get a new Mac laptop this weekend and i had a question about the windows install disk that came with the computer i already own. the disk is distributed by dell and says only for installation on dell systems. could i use this to install windows into boot camp on my new mac, or will it mess up the bios and such?
It won't work. Dell only supplies recovery CDs. They have the hardware needed for the Dell and that's it. I would also guess that it does not have SP2 incorporated into it. You could mess up your Mac, but it would not install so why even bother with it?
You need the full XP with SP2 embedded or Vista CD or DVD. Anything less won't work.

  • I have a question about MP3 recorders but cannot even get contact us to work

My question is are the recorders in the Zen MP3 players mono and are they a .025 kHz?
However, I am disturbed that none of the links to "contact us" work is this a typical problem with
Creative? If not, how do I reach someone preferably by phone, but even by e-mail when I have a question about a product and even worse if I buy one about a problem thanks

As far as I know the "contact us" links are some sort of guided tour to some documents that might help, and otherwise an e-mail form. I don't know if you can phone them, but you can e-mail them and for general questions there is this forum.
The X-Fi 2 saves recordings as IMA ADPCM 6000Hz mono 64kb
    ps.
I'm not sure about other Zens, although I believe they all are mono, I think my Vision recorded in regular wave (uncompressed PCM) but since I don't have that one anymore I can't check.

  • A simple question about mp3's in a Flash music player

I have a music player for a Flash site that I'm working on that plays 3 mp3's.  Right now it just has some short sound loops, but I find them repetitive and annoying.  I'd like to replace them with mp3's of full songs.  Is it ok to add 3 mp3's of songs that are like 3 minutes long and are 128 kbps or will those be too big of files?  The mp3's are all between 2 and 3 mpgs.  Is it better to try to find ones at say 64 kbps?  Or is there a way to bump them down to a smaller size just for the player but still get decent sound quality?
    Thanks!

    Valeriy,
Please provide some more information about the technologies you are using to build your application in order to get some appropriate help.
For example, if you are using ADF BC/ADF Faces, I will say, "please read section 25.8 of the ADF Developer's Guide for Forms/4GL Developers," which describes how to do this using those technologies.
Obviously, if you're not using ADF BC, then it's not much help... so... help us help you; what technologies are you using.

  • Sound in FCP - Questions about MP3

    Hi
Which is the best way to convert MP3 to AIF file ( 48HZ & 16 bt) ?
(The sound that i am using in my project, i have it only in MP3 it's specific and i can't change it.)
Write now i make it with Adobe Audition CS6 - is it OK? or its best to do it with  Compressor? The quality is the same or not?
I am asking all of them because my project  export sound is  on 5.1 (for DVD)  and for the music  i put every file  to Pan Mode to Stereo Left/Right in order to have better perfomance but when i do that the music sounds very low!! The rest of the sound(effects etc..) its sounds very good!!
Do i have other solution? or i am making something wrong?
    Please give me your guideness......
    Thank you!!!!

Don't know about that. Good conversion to AIFF should be identical. I don't use Audition but I've never had a conversion lose sound level.

  • Question about mp3 file stor

i just bought a creative gb zen nano plus. just wondering if i take it over my friends house to get a 700mb .avi file do i have to install the software on his computer or will it show up as a jump or flash dri've.he all has software on his computer for a sansa mp3 player & his phone and says he dont want to install any more software which i understand. thanks in advance

That will depend on what type of OS he is currently using. If it's Windows 2000 and higher, you don't need to install any driver to work with the player.

  • Question about mp3 fi

I was just wondering if defragmenting your computer would affect the quality of music files since the computer moves them to a different location on the hard dri've. I know converting files decreases quality but I'm not too sure about defragmenting.

Defragmenting won't hurt them since you aren't changing the files, just the physical locations of the data.

  • QUESTION ABOUT MP3S

when converting to an mp3 from a wav file , does the mp3 lose alttle clarity?

I must add: it's better to work (read: mix and bast
of all record) your stuff at 96kHz samplerate, 24bit.
When possible of course. This way you don't loose too
    much data when mixing.
For the complete explanation see your reference
    manual p 288.
    Hi,
I usually test what I am going to records first...before deciding on sample rate...i.e. an electric guitar doe snot contain any info much above 15,000 Hz..so there is no point in recording it at 96kHz(48,000 hertz being the limit on that),just a lot of zeroes added on to make the file bigger, not better.
Also a LOT of microphones especially old ones do not pass audio past 15-18kHz either,so again, why record a source that does not give you anything above 20kHz??? I keep asking this, and people keep telling me they "hear" the difference...
I have been tested by an otolaryngologist (ear-nose-throat doctor) and he proved to me I can listen all the way to 26,000 Hz...
So when I cannot tell the difference between a source at 44.1kHz and the same one at 96kHz,it's not because I'm deaf...which I'm not,it's because THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE...the spectral content is the same...
    Cheers

  • Basic  question about MP3 format

This is really simple (if you know how) but how but how do I convert a MP3 Disc so that I can play it on my ipod that needs MP4? Many thanks!

You don't need to convert. iPods handle mp3 just fine.

  • Question about Charging ZEN MP3 Pla

Hello, I just got a brand-new ZEN 4GB MP3 player. I have a question about charging it. Is the device done charging when the battery icon blinking in the top-right displays as full, or should I be waiting for some other indication (done charging message, etc.)?
    Thanks,
    Brett

The icon should be a full bar with a little plug in the middle when it's fully charged.

  • Questions about using the Voice Memos app

I'm currently an Android user, but will be getting an iPhone 6 soon. My most used app is the voice memos app on my Android phone. I have a couple questions about the iPhone's built-in voice memos app.
-Am I able to transfer my voice memos from my Android phone to my iPhone, so my recordings from my Android app will show up in the iPhone's voice memos app?
-When exporting voice memos from the iPhone to computer, are recordings in MP3 format? If not, what format are they in?
-In your opinion, how is the recording quality of the voice memos app?

You cannot import your Android voice memos to your iPhone's voice memo app.  You might be able to play the Android memos and have the iPhone pick up the audio and record it.
Here is the writeup about sending voice memos from the iPhone to your computer (from the iPhone User Guide):
    App quality is excellent.

  • Question about Id3-tags and song managem

Hello, I am getting ready to buy a Zen Touch 20GB in a couple of weeks and I have a few questions about the management software.
(Correct me if I am wrong about something)
) Are songs organized into groups by Genre instead of just folders like on the Ipod?
    2) Are Id3-tags used instead of filename for identification?
    3) What parts of the tag are needed besides title and artist?
    4) Which version of tags does the Zen Touch recognize: Version or Version 2?
    5) If I edit my tags using an external program such as Id3-TagIT, will the tags carry over to the Creative software and to the player?
Thanks a lot for your help. I want to make sure I have my music collection in order before I get my Zen Touch.

euph_jay wrote:Ok, so lets say I have all my music in folders right now seperated into different categories on my hard dri've. Some folders denote the artist, some the album, and some a genre. Example: Folder: Chicago Contents: Chicago .mp3 files Folder: Techno Contents: various Techno artist's songs What is the best way of organizing my folder system, so that the transition will be easy to the player?
Folders are pretty much irrelevant. What the software will do is look at the *tags* in the files and then use these to build the player's library.
Will imbedded folders work on the player? (like Techno->Crystal Method->Cystal Method .mp3's)
Again the player has no concept of folders, although if you set Techno as a Genre tag you will be able to view via this in the Music Library.
Or, am I misunderstanding how music is stored into the mp3 player. Instead of storing music in a "folder like" system (like the Chicago folder or Techno folder), does it store all the songs individually on the device? Then you have to sort it by artist, album, or genre?
Using your example, in the Music Library you have essentially three categories: Album, Artist, and Genre. So under Album you would see "Vegas" (the Crystal Method's album), under Artist you would see "The Crystal Method", and under Genre you would see "Techno" (and then either the album or artist under this... I forget which it is offhand).
    Make sense?

  • Question about sorting files in media library

    Hey,
I'm Sam Hoste from Belgium and I have a question about sorting music files in my media library in iTunes.
My music collection mainly exists of complete albums instead of individual songs. The problem is that I can not play the songs of an album in the same order as on the tracklist of the album in the media library of iTunes.
I also take very good care of the ID3 tags from my mp3-files, but that doesn't help.
For example, if I had an album with the following tracklist,
    01. Artist - Song 1
    02. Artist - Song 2
    03. Artist - Song 3
    04. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 4
    05. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 5
    06. Artist - Song 6
    07. Artist - Song 7,
every music file would have an ID3 tag for tracknumber (1, 2, 3, ...), an ID3 tag for artist ("Artist" or "Artist ft Otherartist"), an ID3 tag for title (Song 1, ...) and an ID3 tag for album ("Albumname").
When I load this album in my media library in iTunes, I cannot get them sorted by album and by tracknumber on that album. When I sort by artist I get this list:
    01. Artist - Song 1
    02. Artist - Song 2
    03. Artist - Song 3
    06. Artist - Song 6
    07. Artist - Song 7
    04. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 4
    05. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 5.
But that's normal, but even if I sort by album I get the same list:
    01. Artist - Song 1
    02. Artist - Song 2
    03. Artist - Song 3
    06. Artist - Song 6
    07. Artist - Song 7
    04. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 4
    05. Artist ft Otherartist - Song 5.
So the songs aren't in the same order as they are supposed to be on the CD. And I would really like my albums to play in the same order than on the tracklist on the CD.
I think the problem is caused by the fact that when you sort by "album" in iTunes media library, iTunes first sorts by albumname, and second by artistname, and third by tracknumber. In stead of sorting first by albumname, and then second by tracknumber in stead of the artist.
My question: Is there a way to make sure iTunes sorts by albumname, and then by tracknumber in stead of artist, so I can play my albums in the same order as on the CD? Or is there an other solution for this issue?
    Thanks and kind regards,
    Sam Hoste

  • Questions about Digital Wireless Headphones CB2

    Hi everyone,
I have a question about the [url="http://nl.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=438&product=6 44" target=_self>Digital Wireless Headphones CB2530[/url] I've never seen it in a shop here in Holland, so I thought I'll pose my questions here.
I'm interested in buying one for my Creative Zen Xtra MP3 player.
    My questions are:
    - if it's possible to connect it to the player?
    - can I use it while traveling (can i hear something if I put the player in my bag)?
    - is it a good idea to buy this headphone? (i already have a great headphone by Philips, but am looking for wireless)
I also have a question concerning a remote control. Is there one for the Creative Zen Xtra?
    I hope so...
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Eline

    Eline,
Yes, you can connect the wireless headphone to the player. Infact you can connect it to any stereo devices with the audio transmitter as long it's using a 3.5mm minijack. It shouldn't be a problem for the audio even if the player is inside the bag. It works about the same way as a mobilephone to a Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, the Zen Xtra player does not support remote control feature.
