Question about project plan value and  availability control

dear expert:
I had built a project, and with CJ30, Allocated budget is 10000, in one of  WBS element.
I created  a network and internal activities,
when I  assiged a material component (Res + PR) and system can be saved even if the total plan cost value is crossing the budget value.(There is no PR created, now. )
But, Budget checking is showing error message that budget is exceeded when I created any external service activity and crossing the budget value.(There is also no PR created, now. )
My question is: what is the difference of the two plan value? Why one is relevant to the budget,and the other is not?
Note:1) the tolerance limit with ++ (all activity groups), usage say 100% & action 3 (error) to the budget profile. The budget prifile is considered with only overall budget.
2)In tables COSP, "value types" are all 01 (plan), but VRGNG field values ​​are different, components plan is: KPPE
Service activities are: KPPP
3)in CJ30 u2013 Extras>> Availability Control>> Analysis. I could see the following in red colour, these values system not considering into account.
Entries in this color make no contribution to the assigned value!
V: Value type not relevant ( Act./Plan/Stat.Act./Stat.Plan/Commt)
D: Delivery
S: Settlement to object with no budget control
R: Revenue cost element
C: Cost element is exempt cost element
M: Minimum from actual + commitment and plan per order value update
P: Plan value is not on apportioned order / network
B: Plan Costing Single Position
S: Funds Commitment in Balance

Hi,
Its not per item category. If  N or L sytem will check the budget if in your system if proper GL's are maintained in OBYC settings BSX and GBB > VBR nad cost elelemtns are created for them. for this you have to cosult with your MM / CO consultant.
PS is highly inteergratd with CO and all values are updated per cost elements. If values are not updated in cost elements then budget chek wil not happen.
In you case for material values may be updated in cost elements due to improper OBYC setting so budget check was not done.
Chekc your OBYC setting and try to create material PR system will check for the budget.
Check and confirm.

    I am creating Sale Deals condition type record in transaction VK11. I attached material in deal condition and when I go to "Detail" of that attached material item I am not able to see "Planned Values" frame and its component in screen. Could you please help solve this problem?
    Steps for Reconstruction                
    1. Execute transaction VK11
    2. Enter condition type as "Sales Deal" (KA00)
    3. In next screen enter appropriate " Sales Org", "DC", and "Customer"
    4. In the same screen look at "Customer/Material with release status" frame of table control
    5. Enter appropriate material and amount and hit <Enter>
    6. Select the item/row of the entered material and hit <F6> or click <Detail> icon in application toolbar.
    7. In the next screen the frame < Planned Values> and its fields like <Planned Basis> and < Planned Value> are missing.
    Does anyone know about this situation and can help on this?

    Try this..Go to t-code V/04 -Change condition table of ur appropriate access sequence..input ur Table number which description u want to change and press enter...
    inside u can see table number on top and its description..near to this description u can find "propose/maintain text icon" enter ur description and save...
    Now try in VK11..

  • Problem in activating the Funds Management BCS and Availability Control

    After running the program RGLIUGEN to generate the required includes in program SAPLGLIU, the generated programs come with syntax errors. When I manually correct the errors ,the program post the budgets and budget releases but does not update values for availability control to the effect that whenever one tries to post any amount against the budget, we get the following error  :
    Overall budget exceeded by 100.00 USD (FM PB Availability Control) for document item 00001
    All suggestions will be appreciated

    The following tolerance limits regarding payroll entries are currently configured in the system. Once the 90% level of the budget is exceeded, the system will generate one notice. After the 100% is reached, the system will repeat the notice every time an entry occurs.

  • Display Report Level Filter value and Input Controls Value

    Hi,
    Please let me know how to display Report Level Filter value and Input COntrol values in the report.
    I have 2 tabs in the WebI Report. The first tab has the summary details about the other tabs like reprot desc, prompt values, reprot filter values,etc.
    In the 2nd tab I have the actual report which has input controls defined, prompt values and global level report filters.
    Can anyone please tell me how to display the Report level filter values and the Input Control values in the first tab report.
    For ex: Tab 2 has a Report level filter: Region = NA
    I need to display in Tab 1 in as Region: NA
    I used the function ReportFilterSummary but that is giving me other details, I want only the object name and the value.
    Also how to dispaly the Input Control values in the tab 1.
    Please let me know if you have any suggestions for this issue.

    did you try
    =ReportFilter([Year])
    if you are making report filter over the year, it will return the value of the filter
    by the way, the filter should be applied over all the report not to a specific block to be able to get the correct value
    the Input control also considered as report filter, only if you're applying them on the level of the report, if you applying an input contron over a specific block or chart, you will not get the values for ReportFilter

  • Questions about Assumption of Liability and device to be used for unlimited data plan

    This is my first post on here. I have an opportunity that someone I know is willing to transfer his smartphone plan with unlimited data to me. I have read extensively on here and other sites and gathered some information, and also heard of many complications and questionable losses of unlimited data plans when making various types of changes to devices or services. Some of what I read may be outdated as well if Verizon has made changes in their policies, so I will start with the most obvious question: as of this date, is an AOL possible while keeping the unlimited data plan intact?
    If so, here are some other questions I have:
    -Will I receive a new SIM card by mail or do I need to use my friend's old SIM card?
    -If my ultimate end goal is to use laptop, do I have to connect through a smartphone (and is there any additional charge for that, or would it change the plan), or can I put the SIM card in a mobile hotspot such as the MHS291L and use only the data portion of the plan?
    -After getting the plan, is there any way I can get TWO SIM cards - one for a mobile hotspot, and the other strictly for voice and text? If so, how much extra would that cost?
    -If we went to a Verizon store to do this transfer or AOL, how can we be absolutely certain it goes smoothly, that no one makes any unauthorized plan changes and does not lose the unlimited data? I have unfortunately read some horror stories of it being lost in similar situations, no one seems to be accountable, and it winds up costing someone countless hours of struggle with Verizon to try to get it back (whether they are successful or not I don't know).
    -If at some point the SIM card was lost (such as if I lost the device), can it be replaced without affecting the plan?
    For what it's worth (especially for those working for Verizon), I am not looking for a way to hog up absurd amounts of data but simply to be able to do the basic stuff I need to online and maybe watch a movie once in a while without having really huge bills. Even if I used the internet without giving data consumption a second thought, I doubt I'd go much over 25-30GB most months.

    Hi NicandroN_VZW, sorry i did not see your reply in time but thank you just the same. I called the number for the AOL department and they were able to help me with it pretty easily and answer most of my questions
    I do have a couple other questions regarding the unlimited data plan on smartphones. I have seen various comments regarding these things online, and i can make a good guess about what "might work," but i'm really looking to know Verizon's official policy on these things, if one exists. In case any non-verizon employees are able to provide this information as well, if you have references to where i can find it in writing that would be helpful.
    First, i realize there is an optional $30 fee for mobile hotspot use. But does Verizon have any policy about whether this fee must be paid if i connect only via a USB cable (since it would not actually be a "hotspot," and could not connect multiple devices)?
    And my other question is, if i do opt to pay the $30 hotspot fee, is there any policy either for or against using that SIM card in a 4g hotspot such as the MHS291L?
    PS i am asking these things here rather than by PM because, given the wide range of opinions which can be found online and that others have looked into similar things, i am sure other people could also benefit from knowing Verizon's policy regarding these things.

  • Getting Started with CFBuilder - A Question About Project Settings

    Hello All,
    I'm just getting my feet wet with CFBuilder and giving it a spin after over a decade's worth of experience with Dreamweaver and I have a question about setting up my work environment.
    First of all, I have two computers that I mainly work from.  My home desktop computer, and a laptop for when I'm on the road.  I keep all of my web site project files syncronized between the two computers using Dropbox.
    I've noticed that when I create a new project in CFBuilder it stores a few files in my project root like ".project" and "settings.xml".  It looks like "settings.xml" stores information about which CFBuilder web server should be used for the project.  Unfortunately this messes things up for me a bit because on my desktop a web site project url might be:  http://desktop/myProject/ and on my laptop the project url could be http://laptop/myProject.
    The reason this isn't a problem in Dreamweaver is because dreamwevaer stores its configuration/preferences outside of my project folders so I can essentially define any testing server I want for both the desktop and laptop.
    Is there a way to configure CFBuilder to store project settings outside of the project folder?  Or does anyone have a suggestion for someone like me who syncronizes their project files from their laptop to their desktop?

    I would recommend using a distributed version control system (DVCS) with a hosted service, such as using Git/Mercurial and Github/BitBucket/UnFuddle.  With Git, you can use a .ignore file to specify files/folders that you want to exclude from being stored in version control (I also exclude my CFBuilder project files from my repositories).  You would then sync your local Git repositories with your service of choice, and they would be accessible from any machine. 
    There are many advantages of using Git and a hosted service over just Dropbox:
    Each computer has a complete copy of the code repository, including all code changes over the history of your project.
    You store code modifications in "commits", or small entries in the DVCS.
    Commits can contain user-defined descriptions that help you identify what you did at each step of your development process
    You can roll back commits if you break something in your code.
    You can create "branches" of your code when you want to work on a specific feature of your application, and that branch is kept in isolation from other branches until you are ready to merge it back into the main production code branch.
    You can have public or private hosted repositories on the various services, enabling you to work with a team or participate in open-source development.
    There are Eclipse plugins available for CFBuilder that provide GUI tools for working with Git and hosted repositories (unless you are comfortable with using the command-line to do all your Git interactions).
    I don't think you can separate the project settings from the project in CFBuilder.

  • Purchase Requisition Committment and Availability Control

    We are using availability control based on usage 1 i.e. during the budget allocation/release, the availability control gets activated.
    Now i have poject structure where a user have already created PR i.e. committment of 10000 USD and whereas i got an budget of 5000 USD. So when i go in CJ30 and CJ32, then system is not allowing me to release the budget as the existing committment is greater than the budget.
    My question is that do this PR committment is to be considered as Real comittment. My understading is that if there is no budget then the committment of any type should not be allowed at first instance. How generally it works?

    Rajesh, Not everybody will use the budgeting functionality for Project, So it is not forbidden in Std. SAP design. But, if you want to forbid posting of committment cost or actual cost before budgeting, then read these notes
    Note 599813 - Availability control before budgeting
    Note 602588 - Availability control before budgeting
    Follow the suggestions mentioned in the note.
    Is there anything by which we can avoid the committment creation by using the user status on WBS element (even though the commitment is created at activity, it gets rolled up to the parent WBS)?
    As Gokul mentioned, you can restrict creation of PR on WBSE by User Status, but you cannot restrict rolling up of Commitment cost from activity to WBSE by any user status.

  • NULL values and Data Control based on Web Service

    One of my ADF control is based on a Data Control created through a web service. Every thing is working fine except the way ADF control is handling the null values return by the web service based data control.
    For example for null columns the web service is sending the following:
    <ns0:beginDate xsi:nil="1"/>
    or
    <ns0:sourceCode xsi:nil="1"/>
    But the corresponding column in my ADF data control is trying to initialize itself using the value ‘[{nil=1}]’. It fails with the following error.
    2006-04-20 13:31:37.510 WARNING JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.util.Date with value:[{nil=1}]
    I will appreciate if someone could help me resolve this issue.

    I tried again, but it seems that I'm unable to reproduce this in a test project which uses another data controls but is still as similar as possible to the original project in which I've encountered this behaviour.
    However, using a data control based on the same web service as in the original project, [{nil=1}] appears again instead of emtpy values.
    Is it possible that there is a significant difference in the generated wrapper classes? The underlying PL/SQL is the same (in strucutre) and the corresponding elements in the response XML of the web service are the same in the two cases, always like <ns0:someResponeValue xsi:nil="1"/>, so I don't know how it is possible that I can't reproduce this behaviour.
    A short description of the projects:
    Services/Model:
    I created a PL/SQL funcition in a package that returns a user type object. This return parameter consists of a non-empty string and a null value string. On top of this I created a PL/SQL web service and a data control for that.
    View/Controller:
    A JSF JSP page which has a read-only form showing the return values of the web service.

  • Question about project manager on Flash CS4

    1 It seems that CS4 can not open flp, so how can I use CS4 to manager a project builded by CS3?
    2 if you choose a folder to found a new project in CS4, when you want to publish the whole project, you need to choose all the fla of that project...that will cost a lot of time if the project includes hundreds of files. But I didn't find out any quicker solution except check every fla by manpower. Is there any solution to publish a project faster?

    I'm planning on burning 1 master to a Taiyo Yuden White Inkjet Hub Printable 16X DVD-R disc.
    Make a disk image instead. It will be faster than a disc to disc copy.
    I have burnt tons of discs with the setting on "As fast as possible" with a 16x drive and discs. Never a problem. Some say that burning at a lower speed will increase reliability and decrease the chance of turning out a dud. Can't say that I have seen a difference.
    does it matter if I burn first and then print or should I print first and then burn?
    I would burn, check the disc and then print. If you do happen to get a bad batch, that's a lot of wasted time and ink if the discs don't work.

    settings for a video shoot from this camera?

    regarding that i would like to edit in real time, no rendering needed,
    and to have the best image quality that this camera can offer...

    FCE is designed to work with DV/HDV files. It cannot work natively with MPEG2 files. You will need something like MPEG Streamclip to convert your files to a format that FCE understands
    Streamclip is free but you need to buy Apple's MPEG Playback Component to make it work

  • Question about Project Lockdown

    I've been reading through Arup Nanda's "Project Lockdown". I understand all of his rationals and procedures, but a few things leave me feeling a bit uneasy. Maybe it's just fear of the "unknown unknowns". In particular is the discussion on changing the unix access profiles for the oracle binaries. I have this uneasy feeling that if I were to implement those particular suggestions, it would end up biting me somewhere down the road.
    Has anyone implemented all of the suggestions in this document? If so, what have been your experiences?

    It's not consulting which is situation specific. So, any work which is not prepared in context of a specific situation must be taken with that disclaimer - your mileage may vary. Understanding and testing is a must before committing the work.

    ArupThanks for the response. Besides worrying about the "unknown unknowns" I also have a question about applying patches, especially the quarterly CPUs. Since, at some level, applying a patch is simply overlaying a specific file with a newer version, will this cause permissions to revert to default? Would we have to go through the process after applying a patch? I'll go back and re-read the original doc several more times to make sure I have a good grasp of what's going on here.
