also a Few Day's ago when I Wanted to Turn on My Apple iPod Touch 64GB it did not even want to Turn on or do anything & I Never Shut it Down or Turned it off???
I Was reading on the internet about this problem & it said that I Had to Restart My Apple iPod Touch 64GB & I Did & Everything went back on again so just needed to get info about this problem if anyone knows about this???

Things like that happen and is normal.
If you can't turn it on:
    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I have a question about the new ipod touch

I just got a 32GB ipod touch a week and one day ago and now i hear that a new one with more features is coming out. This is'nt fair since the new one has more features but costs $100 less than when i bought mine. Since i bought it recently is there anyways i can return it and get the new one instead? My ipod is still brand new without any scratches at all since i put a case on it as soon as i took it out of the box.

I purchased a refurbished iPod touch 8g about 10 days ago. I am thinking of sending it back. The question is it really worth the hassle? In Canada the 8g is going to sell for $259. I think I will loose 10% restocking fee plus shipping it back. Thoughts ??
    Is it worth it?
Should I just upgrade the software and call it a day? Or get the new one.
    Ideas...thoughts...opions???

  • Question about Shipping new iPod Touch

I ordered my iPod Touch on September 4th 9AM and said to deliver Sep 17 with Overnight. Online, if you buy now it is said to ship within 3-5 days, and you can purchase the 1 day shipping.
If you purchase the online one now, that mean it would get shipped to your house by 13th with the maximum of business days to ship from their warehouse; 5 days is the max. Should I repurchase my iPod since my pre order is not going to get to my house till the 17th? Sounds to me, like they ripped off the pre orders. ><

  • Quick Question about Moving from iPod Touch 2G to iPhone 4

I've had an iPod Touch for just over 2 years and am planning to get the Verizon iPhone 4 as soon as it is released. Does anyone know if I will be able to move all my apps with their data to the iPhone? For example, I have a weight watcher type app where I have been recording what I eat, weight loss, etc for months. I'd like to bring that information with me. Plus my game scores and levels I've beaten, etc. Before, when I have plugged in a new device iTunes has asked me if I want to restore data from my iPod 2G backup or from my iPad backup. If I do that, will it give me the desired result?

Ignore the previous post, as it's quite obvious the poster has no idea what they are talking about. App data is stored in your touch backups. Restoring your new phone from that backup will restore the data to your new phone. Follow the directions here:

  • Question About Texting on iPod Touch

Against my will I am being dragged into the world of texting.... that being said please forgive me if this is a "dumb" question but I'm a real "texting newby".
If I receive a text message on my phone ( not an iPhone )from someone that may, or may not have the same wireless carrier as me can I reply to that person using some type of texting application on my iPod Touch? If so, where can I find instructions?
    Thanks !

I use a free app I downloaded called textPlus. The itouch will only be able to send messages with a wifi connection. The person receiving the message will be charged for receiving your text. But messages you send from the itouch will be free.

  • Question about a lost iPod touch 4

I have an iPod touch 4 that I gave to my employers' 6 yo son. The touch is linked to my iTunes acct. Question: They lost it, out of state. They have looked for it, including gone back to stores, etc. Before I consider it gone, I was just wondering if by chance my contacts would automatically be on there, since I have a contact set up for me with my phone number and address.(maybe someone would be nice and mail it to me) Also, would I know if someone erased it? No, I did not have find my iphone set up on it. I don't think my account has been compromised I have an iTunes card balance that hasn't changed and no unauthorized purchases. How safe am I, and should I change acct info?

    lost/stolen
    - Someone may email you if you did not have the screen lock passcode. If I found an unlocked device I would go to the Settings>iTunes and App Store and send an email to the Apple ID email address.
No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or continue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

  • Question about the new iPod Touch 5G?

When in October will it come out? On the Apple site it says it will come in October. Does that mean October 1st? Also i'm debating in which color to get I might get yellow or blue, do you think the yellow color looks sorta greenish? Many people are saying it looks green a little and I don't see it! But I think the pink looks orange. I saw a test video of the new ipod in the store and the pink looked orange lol. thanks!

When in October will it come out? On the Apple site it says it will come in October. Does that mean October 1st?
Unlikely. And only Apple knows.  But when Apple is non-specific on a date, it almost never means the earlest date, and in some cases they have had to add days to the month, as in when the iPhone 1st gen was released it was the 32nd of the month :-)
Colors are a personal thing.  If you have a store that sells iPod Touchs, then visit the store when they start to display them, and check out the colors in person, as colors on computer screens are rarely "True" colors because most monitors are not calibrated.

  • A few general questions about the different iPod Touch models

What is the difference between the 2nd Generation and the 3rd Generation iPod Touch?
How often do they release a new generation model?
Does anyone know yet how the 4th Generation model will compare to the 3rd and 2nd Generation models?
    Thank you.

What is the difference between the 2nd Generation and the 3rd Generation iPod Touch?
    See:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ipod_touch#Models
As to when a new model might be released and what it might feature, no one here knows or can say. We'll all just have to wait and see. As Sandra indicated, you can read the various rumor sites, but as to what rumors if any you can believe, your guess will be as good as ours.

  • A quick and easy question about my NEW Ipod Touch.

Okay, I broke down and replaced my old ipod. This new one came with earphones, a cord to connect it to my computer and a little plastic piece that obviously fits on one end of the ipod. Here's my question: WHAT IS IT FOR?
    Thanks in advance!
    Annie

It's a dock adaptor. There are some devices (eg. speaker systems) which have a slot that fits the 30-pin dock connector for iPods, but the slot is the same size as the iPod Classic, as it is the largest iPod that is compatible with such systems. The dock adaptor that came with your iPod is supposed to fit around the base of your iPod and prevent it from being bent forwards or backwards, as this can damage or even break the dock connector.

  • If i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it as the option 'set up as new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos and ect?

if i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it to the option 'set up as a new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and log into my apple ID so i can just restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos, contacts, ect. and then later i can add contacts that i need/want instead of them restoring them from icloud?
The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...
and i hope you understand my problem..
i would REALLY REALLY appreciate it if someone could tell me a solution to my problem!!! thank you so much!
    -sierra

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Hope this helps. Good luck. Cheers.

i tried to soft reset my ipod touch with the top button and the screen button.  it turned off and then went to the blue screen with the apple like it should.  however, it now just stays on that screen.  it has a sort of clock looking thing at the bottom of the apple that does not move either.  it has stayed on this screen for over 4 hours.  i also can not hard reset it in itunes.  i am not really goood at this sort of thing.  does anyone have this problem or a possible solution?  thanks

    See Here for
    Frozen or unresponsive iPod touch
    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
    Restart..  Reset..  Restore...
Try this First... You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the iPod Off... ( if it isn’t already )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...
    Turn the iPod On...
If that does not help... See Here:

If you have forgotten your Restrictions code, then follow the instructions
below but DO NOT restore any previous backup. If you do then you will
simply be restoring the old Restrictions code you have forgotten. This
same warning applies if you need to restore a clean system.
A Complete Guide to Restore or Recover Your iDevice (if You Forget Your Passcode)
If you need to restore your device or ff you cannot remember the passcode, then you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and re-sync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
         1. Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
         2. Connect your device to your computer.
         3. Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
         4. Select the Summary tab.
         5. Select the Restore option.
         6. When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up
option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not
             necessary to create another.
         7. Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up,
you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
         8. When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple
             logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating
to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of
iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or
              you see "iPhone is activated."
         9. The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup. If you do not have a
backup to restore, then restore as New.
If you are restoring to fix a forgotten Restrictions Code or as a New device, then skip Step 9 and restore as New.

If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
         1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end
of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
         2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the
red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake
and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake
              and Home buttons.
         3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device.
The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device
charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then
             start with step 2 again.
         4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button.
         5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
         6. Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.
If you just wish to reset some items such as configurations: Tap Settings > General > Reset. Choose the option you prefer.
