I'm very confused by those. The jack clearly only has 3 inputs, meaning, left, right, center, and look to only be headphones, not a headset.

  • Question about sony NFC tags

    Hi every body,
I have a little question about the NT1 smart tags of sony.
I installed other app from google play to NFC tags in my phone.
I installed it, because the smart tag app of sony, don't have the action to turn on or turn off the GPS by NFC tag.
When I used with other app, and I written on the blue smart tag, I mark to became the blue smart tag to read only.
So, now I can't to write on him, and the phone is not recognazied the blue smart tag ( all other smarts tags is OK, because I didn't used them ).
When I scan the blue smart tag, the phone show a message: "unknown type tag".
Am I can cancelled it and became it back? that's mean that the phone is recognaized it and I can to write on it?
Or, is it one way, and I can't used with the blue smart tag again?

  • Questions about Digital Wireless Headphones CB2

    Hi everyone,
I have a question about the [url="http://nl.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=437&subcategory=438&product=6 44" target=_self>Digital Wireless Headphones CB2530[/url] I've never seen it in a shop here in Holland, so I thought I'll pose my questions here.
I'm interested in buying one for my Creative Zen Xtra MP3 player.
    My questions are:
    - if it's possible to connect it to the player?
    - can I use it while traveling (can i hear something if I put the player in my bag)?
    - is it a good idea to buy this headphone? (i already have a great headphone by Philips, but am looking for wireless)
I also have a question concerning a remote control. Is there one for the Creative Zen Xtra?
    I hope so...
    Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Eline

    Eline,
Yes, you can connect the wireless headphone to the player. Infact you can connect it to any stereo devices with the audio transmitter as long it's using a 3.5mm minijack. It shouldn't be a problem for the audio even if the player is inside the bag. It works about the same way as a mobilephone to a Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, the Zen Xtra player does not support remote control feature.

  • Question about Creative Earbuds

I just bought a pair of CREATIVE LABS EP-640's for my new zen. I had been using the Sony MDR-EX75's and wow, what a nice difference. My question though is are EP-630's really the Sennheiser CX300 and the EP-640's really the Sennheiser CX400? Pricing is amazingly the same...

    fr0ggyguy,
The Zen V player does not has any memory expansion slot for you to add in extra memory card.
As for the size of Audible content, I will leave it to others to advise you as I'm not a Audible user.

I just bought the ExtremeGamer Fatalty Pro series card and have a question. This is my first time building a pc.

  • Question About Sony Handycam Mini DVD + iMac

A friend recently asked me how she can compile all her half-hour long mini DVD's onto one normal sized DVD. She said she has tried several things but couldn't do it. I have a Sony mini DV recorder and thought I might be able to import the video from her camera the same way I import from mine to my iMac then burn it onto a disc. But I am not able to hook the camera to my iMac because there's no port for a firewire or a USB connection on the camera itself. Any ideas for how I can consolidate these smaller discs onto one DVD?
    Thanks

MiniDV (little cassette tapes) or Mini-DVD (miniature optical disks you can stick in a set-top DVD player and playback)?
The former is the format that you would use if you intended to edit the video, and the latter is the format you'd use if you simply wanted to playback the video as it had been recorded without modification. They are not compatible formats as the physical media is different, but so is the data stored on those media.
A MiniDV camera minimally has an i.Link / mini-FireWire400 port on it for data transfer to the computer. The computer can control the camera through this port, use it either as a live camera, or operate it as a VCR and capture the video as it plays back into the computer. MiniDV video is captured real-time from the camera, meaning that if you recorded 60 minutes of video, it will take 60 minutes to transfer to the computer. The capture data will be in DV format, which is effectively uncompressed 720x480 at 29.995 frames per second (for camcorders using the US' NTSC standard video resolution anyway).
On a Mini-DVD camcorder, the camera may not have a port for connecting the camera to a computer to transfer the video. If it does, it is probably a USB or mini-USB port that allows the camera to be used by a computer as an external DVD recorder. If it is a without-connector model, transferring video would mean taking the mini-DVD out of the camera and putting it in a computer -- however Macs cannot take the mini disks and require and external DVD drive to read them. The MPEG2-encoded video on the DVD drive is highly compressed and not really suitable for editing. Manipulation of the content will necessarily degrade it, so you will lose video quality in the process of handling it, reencoding it, and reburning it.

  • I want to question about the official service at the service center of Sony.

I want to question about the official service at the service center of Sony.
long since I like the models and items sony. from start playstation, cameras, camcorders up, I've ever had. and a new camera that I bought two years ie compact cameras Sony Cybershot DSC H200. as of a month ago, a camera was having problems in lenses that would not close. and setting the automatic mode to move by itself. I came to the Sony Service Center in Makassar, precisely on Jl. Shop Pengayomann A5 / 05 (0411) 442340.
operator initially said only two weeks to work on my camera. but this week has been more dau even want to go in a month tomorrow, dated July 9, no news from the service center. and I kept the call to the office service. as well as assorted reasons. there are no spare parts or technical constraints, and the last one I call to his office, he said the factory spare part is damaged. imported directly from Singapore. I think, ko new spare part it can be damaged before using that? how the quality of this Sony spare part? ugly? not good? why?
I was disappointed with this situation, where soon it will Eid, want to return home as well to Java. but the camera has not been settled workmanship?
nah, roughly what is the solution of the Sony plagued with this problem? please help, because he did not know to whom to complain. operator had just said: it's up to the father alone.
once again I asked for his help. solution. if you can before Eid arrived.
    Thank you,

  • Question about adjusting an image to compensate for an alpha black overlay

I don't know how accurate that title/question is but please hear me out and I'l explain it as best I can.
There is a touchscreen monitor in my car.
It allows custom background wallpapers to be loaded via USB.
The touchscreen automatically adds what would appear to be about a 25% alpha black layer in FRONT of the image so the touchscreen controls and icons are clearly visible.
The problem is, I don't know what values I'm supposed to adjust on my image in order to get it to look the same way it does on my computer screen.
Would you adjust the brightness?  Contrast?  Tint?  A combination of all of them?
Or is this simply not possible because the ~25% alpha black tint is placed OVER the wallpaper?
I'd really appreciate some advice.  I don't mind tinkering with the values and using trial and error but I don't want to waste my time if this simply isn't possible.

Just so it's clear, you're not going to be able to "brighten it up" so it looks just like the original - at least not completely so.  An image can only be as bright as bright white.  If that has been reduced by an overlay, you're not going to be able to make the original image "brighter than white" so as to compensate.  Maybe someday, when HDR image formats are common...
The car is darkening the image on purpose in order to make the locations of the controls more obvious.  I can't imagine why you'd want such a busy image as a background, since it makes the actual controls difficult to find.
I read an article today that says that testing has shown that automotive touch screens distract drivers as much as a 0.08 blood alcohol level.  And you're wanting to make it more difficult to find those controls.
Whatever you do, please be careful.

  • Question about the new apple ipod headphones

Apple is selling a new set of apple branded earbud headphones on their website, which are supposed to replace the old ipod headphones.
I want to know if the jacks on the new headphones are shaped the same as the jacks on the old headphones.
I have an ipod case that will only accept headphone jacks that are the same shape as the original ipod headphones, and I want to buy new headphones.
So does anyone have the new headphones? Can you tell me if the jack is straight like the old headphones?

The Apple TV 2 can be programmed to turn itself off after 15 min, 30 min, 1 hour, 5 hours, 10 hours or even never.
Prior to writing this e-mail I tested Airplay from iTunes to the Apple TV*. I played a single song (3 minutes) through Airplay and after 15 minutes of inactivity the Apple TV turned itself off.
*Prior to streaming music or accessing other content you have to turn Apple TV on with the provided bluetooth remote. This is a major inconvenience when your Apple TV is several rooms away. Apple needs to enable wake-on-lan support.

  • White vs black macbooks (question about the material)

Hi, I'm trying to buy my first mac and I am really excited. But I'm not sure if I should get the black or the white macbook (same specs). Any advice is appreciated.
I've heard a lot about how the new Black Macbooks have a different finish than the white ones - matte compared to the glossy finish. In layman's terms, basically all I have learnt is that the black ones have a lot of stains on them. But I would think that the white ones get dirty pretty fast. Also I've read some reviews where some folks have said that the black has a different keyboard ... I tried both of them out at an Apple store and didn't notice much of a different.
Is there really that much of a difference between the two colors? If there isn't, I'd like to get the Black one just cuz it won't get dirty that quickly.
Any thoughts? Thanks for your time

I just went through the same dilemna. I had to decide whether paying $200 more for 40GB more of hard drive space and the black color. (The 40 GB is only worth $75 so you are paying $125 for the black color.) I ended up choosing the black. Sure, it smudges easily, however, that is really easy to clean. As for the scratches, once they are in the white ones, they are pretty much there for good. The black ones, you have a great chance of buffing them out if it is just a surface scratch.
I didn't need the 40GB of space, however, the black looks really cool, classy and professional and is easier to keep clean. Plus it accentuates the glowing apple far better than the white one. It really sounds like you want the black, so GO FOR IT!

  • Questions about video studio

Hi.  Not an Abobe question per se, but I'm going to be setting up a video studio / green screen room  and thought some Abode users might be able to point me to an appropriate place to ask some questions about how this should be built.  (Planning a 16' x 16', room, but could be up to 16' x 20' if necessary, standard 8' ceilings (no way around that).
Would like to film a weekly show in the studio with anywhere from 1-3 people sitting at a greenscreen desk; would also use the room to record singing and piano.
Will be processing with Adobe master Suite CS6 (and Sonar X2 for music in conjunction with Audition).
I've done some greenscreen work with a consumer grade digital camcorder and hardboard painted green, Keying with After Effects and using Premiere as nonlinear editor.  But I'd like to set up something more professional now, while trying to keep the budget under control.  Perfectly fine with DIY softboxes and screens as long as they work well.
Have questions about lighting, cameras, preferred room dimensions, and any othter factors I should consider when having this built (and needs to accomodate the recording of piano and vocals as well).
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Thanks Steven.
I've been worried about the 16' being a little too tight - so will go with the 20' (even bigger might be better, but that's the most I can really do).
    A few other questions:
    1) I thought I was going to be limited to 8' ceilings, but depending how things lay, it might not be a big deal to put in 9' ceilings.  Would that help significantly with the lighting or is it not a big deal.
    2) Should I have electrician install lighting on the ceiling to illuminate the greenscreen (back wall) from above or to shine down on the talent from above and behind for backlighting - or should I just do all the lighting with standing softbox lamps?
    3) I've read that sound in a rectangular studio can be a big problem.  One recommendation was to hang black curtains on tracks that could cover all areas not in the shot - this would reduce bouncing of light and spill over from greenscreen, while also minimizing standing waves / echo.  Any advice on this or other economical things to consider as room is being built?
    4) I have a HV20 Canon consumer grade HDV camcorder - it has an HDMI port.  Anyone have experience with Blackmagic Intensity Pro - which should let you capture uncompressed raw video from the camera?
    5) Any one have advice on the Sony HVR-V1U MiniDV Camcorder  - can get used for under $1000 - would this be a giant step up and make green screening / keying much easier (using Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6) - or not worth the money?
    6) Any advice on what to do for microphpones during a show where 2-3 people are seated at a rectangular table facing one camera and talking?  Will also record some electric piano and vocals.
Thanks for any suggestions (including advice about any other forums where I should post my questions)

What "video out" does this laptop have? (DVI, s-video or d-sub)
Can I link the laptop up to a LCD-TV and watch movies on a resolution of 1080p? (full-HD)
What is the warranty on this laptop?

    Hello
According the notebook specification Satellite P300-18Z has follow interfaces:
DVI - No DVI port available
HDMI - HDMI-out (HDMI out port available)
Headphone Jack - External Headphone Jack (Stereo) available
.link - iLink (Firewire) port available

    TV-out - port available (S-Video port)

  • A few questions about Patone colors

I have a few questions about patone colors since this is the first time I use them. I want to use them to create a letterhead and business cards in two colors.
    1)
I do understand that the uncoated is more washed out than the coated patone colors. I heard that this is because the way paper absorbs the inkt. This is why the same inkt results in different colors on different paper (right?). My question is why is the patone uncoated black so much different than normal black (c=0 m=0 y=0 k=100) or rich black:
When I print a normal document with cmyk, I can get pretty dark black colors. Why is it that I cannot have that dark black color with patone colors? Even text documents printed on a cheap printer can get a darker color than the Patone color. It just looks way too grey for me.
    2) For a first mockup, I want to print the patone colors as cmyk (since I put like 10 different colors on a page for fast comparison). I know that these cmyk colors differ from the patone colors and that I cannot get a 100% representation. But is there a way to convert patone to cmyk values?
I hope that some of you can help me out with my questions.
    Thanks.

You can get Pantone's CMYK tints in Illustrator, (Swatches Panel > Open Swatch Library > Color Books > PANTONE+ Color Bridge Coated or Uncoated) but in my view, what's the point?  If you're printing to a digital printer, just use RGB (HSB) or CMYK. Personally, I never use Pantone's CMYK so-called "equivalents."
Pantone colors are all mixed pigmented inks, many of which fluoresce beyond the gamut limits of RGB and especially CMYK. The original Pantone Matching System (PMS) was created for the printing industry. It outlined pigmented ink formulations for each of its colors.
Most digital printers (laser or inkjet) use CMYK. The CMYK color gamut is MUCH SMALLER than what many mixed inks, printed on either coated or uncoated papers can deliver. When you specify non-coated Pantone ink in AI, according to Pantone's conversion tables, AI tries to "approximate" what that color will look like on an uncoated sheet, using CMYK. -- In my opinion, this has little relevance to real-world conditions, and is to be avoided in most situations.
If your project is going to be printed on a printing press with spot Pantone inks, then by all means, use Pantone colors. But don't trust the screen colors; rather get a Pantone swatch book and look at the actual inks on both coated and uncoated papers, according to the stock you will use on the press.
With the printing industry rapidly dwindling in favor of the web and inkjet printers, Pantone has attempted to extend its relevance beyond the pull-date by publishing (in books and in software alliances, with such as Adobe) its old PMS inks, and their supposed LAB and CMYK equivalents. I say "supposed" because again, RGB monitors and CMYK inks can never be literally equivalent to many Pantone inks. But if you're going to print your project on a printing press, Pantone inks are still very relevant as "spot colors."
I also set my AI Preferences > Appearance of Black to both Display All Blacks Accurately, and Output All Blacks Accurately. The only exception to this might be when printing on a digital printer, where there should be no registration issues.
Rich black in AI is a screen phenomenon, unless in Prefs > Appearance of Black, you also specify "Output All Inks As Rich Black," -- something I would NEVER do if outputting for an actual printing press. I always set my blacks in AI to "Output All Blacks Acurately" when outputting for a press. If you fail to do this, then on the press you will see any minor registration problems, with C, M, and Y peeking out, especially around black type.  UGH!
    Good luck!  :+)
