Question about texting photos

My iPhone has been working fine, but recently when I go to my photos and try to send a photo via text , the blue send button won't press enabling me to send it...... But I can go to messages and attach a photo and it will send it just fine. What's the problem?

Go to Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field and make sure it's set to Off.

  • I bought a Canon 8400F scanner- question about multiple photos being scanne

    Hi,
I have a question about about scanning photos. It was posted that if you scan something with multiple photos, it will separate the pictures.
If I put 6 pictures on the scanner, will it automatically scan them and separate them, or is there something in the software where I select it to separate each picture.
    Thank you

I'm not at my Mac right now but it should be real obvious in the CanoScan software. Open it up and play around. It will jump out at you.
You don't tell it to select "each" picture. You merely tell it that there are multiple pictures and it then does everything automatically.

  • I have a question regarding a small blue question mark instead of photo, I asked about this and was directed to a question about text edit, which, by the way, a neighbour helped with.

Email photographs not seen, photograph are replaced with a small blue question mark.....what do I need to do to see the pictures ?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that sometimes when you receive an email it contains a small box with a question mark for the attachment. It sounds like what you may be seeing is a windmill.dat attachment. • Questions about iPod photo and Apple Protection Plan

I have an iPod photo and an APP that expires May 2007. My
iPod's battery has permanently run out and I plan to use my APP and send it to Apple. Here are my questions:
    1. What is the best way to contact them about sending my iPod to them?
    2. Does the APP cover battery replacement?
    3. Has Apple discontinued the making of iPod photos?
    4. If so, will they still replace my battery or will they just send me a completely new iPod?

    1) You can arrange online service here.
    Service request.
    2) Yes.
    3) Yes.
    4) They will send a replacement iPod photo. They have stock just for this purpose.

  • A few questions about Text

    1) Is there any key that allows you to scale the area type, without having to select the scale tool?
    2) Is there any possibility to reduce the area of the area type with a single clic in any of the bottons of the area (like you can do in FreeHand)?
    3) Can you convert a title type into an area type and vice versa in a quick way?

    Vaca,
    Welcome to the real world.
Neither Illustrator nor InDesign provide anything like FreeHand's auto-fitting textframes.
Neither Illustrator nor InDesign provide anything like FreeHand's wrapping tabs.
FreeHand provides proper paragraph rules; Illustrator only has its lame underscore and strikethrough.
FreeHand provides an end-column formatting character.
One text object in FreeHand does more than Illustrator's two.
One text tool in FreeHand does more than Illustrator's six.
One selector tool FreeHand does more than Illustrator's three.
One pen tool in FreeHand is more powerful than Illustrator's four (three pens plus one convert).
One polygon tool in FreeHand does more than Illustrator's two (star and polygon).
FreeHand provides more grad types than Illustrator.
FreeHand knows the difference between a path being selected as an object vs. having all its anchorpoints selected.
FreeHand can drag-bend a straight segment without adding an unwanted anchorpoint.
FreeHand snaps are reliable at any zoom.
FreeHand's speed blows the doors off Illustrator.
So-called "power duplication" is more powerful in FreeHand than in Illustrator.
Select-through is quick and fluid in FreeHand; cumbersome and tedious in Illustrator.
FreeHand provides for disallowing fills on open paths; Illustrator doesn't.
FreeHand's cutting tool can cut its own open, unfilled paths (duh!).
FreeHand's path operations are more logical than Illustrator's cluttered and confused Pathfinders.
In FreeHand, winding direction in compound paths is more reliable.
FreeHand's interface doesn't encourage the creation of stray points.
FreeHand provides a proper hairline stroke weight.
FreeHand provides Connector Points to ensure tangency of curves to straight segments.
FreeHand provides a proper, straightforward, reverse path command.
FreeHand can auto-extend, auto-retract anchor handles.
    FreeHand provides connector lines.
Illustrator never kept up with FreeHand in most basic functionality.
FreeHand always allowed editing in preview mode. It took several versions for Illustrator to catch up to that and, incredulously, AI users actually defended that inability.
It took fifteen years for Illustrator to acquire a Fit To Page print command.
It took twenty years for Illustrator be able to add page 2.
Illustrator still doesn't provide for user-defined drawing scales.
Illustrator still doesn't even provide live shape primitives (live polygons, arcs, ellipses, etc.)--among the most basic constructs common to vector drawing programs.
I could go on and on an on with this list. Users have been pointing these things out literally for decades. Illustrator is simply the most archaic, cumbersome, tedious, confused, and cluttered mainstream vector program on the market. Much of the basic feature set is sub-standard (see custom arrowheads). The interface is worst-of-class. Those who don't know better encounter its confused awkwardness and mistake it for "sophistication."
And we're talking about superior functionality that remains in a program Adobe acquired and discontinued how many years ago?

  • General question about syncing/photos

maybe this is the most ridiculous question i can ask, but i just can't grasp syncing photos.
say i have photos on my phone and photos in my iphotos and itunes is set up to sync photos with iphoto, will the photos on my phone just be added to my iphoto or will the iphone photo gallery be made to replicate my iphoto gallery?
i have lots of photos on my iphone i would love to separate into different galleries on my iphone.
i've also had an issue where lots of photos seem to have gone missing from my phone after syncing ant they are no where to be found...
i'm just generally not having a fun experience dealing with my photos on my iphone and through iphoto as i never feel like i have full control over where the files end up and how they are moved...

The photo sync process is ONE -WAY - computer to iphone. You go to the photo tab and select the folders/albums that you would like to sync. Those folders/album will be reflected on your iphone ( but in lower resolution) You cannot sync these photos back to your computer. The iphone is NOT a backup device.
Pics taken/saved with iphone ( Camera Roll) should be imported ( as you would import from any digital camera) to your computer regularly. You can then organize and sync them to iphone.

  • Iphone question about texts

hey guys my aunt just gave me a iphone, and i currently have at&t. I just swapped sim cards out of my old phone and put it in the iphone. On my current package i have unlimited texting and when i am working on getting my phone set up there is a fee of i think 20$ to have internet and what not on the phone each month. But there is also something about adding more sms to your new iphone set up. Should i be worrired about this sense i have unlimited texting already or do i have to pay the extra 20 just to get unlimited texting on the iphone

Since you already have unlimited texting, you won't need to add more texting just the data plan.

  • Question About Texting on iPod Touch

Against my will I am being dragged into the world of texting.... that being said please forgive me if this is a "dumb" question but I'm a real "texting newby".
If I receive a text message on my phone ( not an iPhone )from someone that may, or may not have the same wireless carrier as me can I reply to that person using some type of texting application on my iPod Touch? If so, where can I find instructions?
    Thanks !
    Chuck :- )

I use a free app I downloaded called textPlus. The itouch will only be able to send messages with a wifi connection. The person receiving the message will be charged for receiving your text. But messages you send from the itouch will be free.

  • Questions about Text and headings CS5.5

    Hey guys,
I have a quick question.  I am currently working on a contact page for my website and I want to lay it out where the category of what you are contacting is in one font style while the email address (written beneath each category) is in a different font style.
Basically it would be like this
    President (in brown font)
[email protected] (in smaller black font)
    Vice President (in brown font)
[email protected] (in smaller black font)
    etc.
I was playing with making the brown font categories h3 and the email address in h4.  However they can't line up right because the fonts are different sizes so the space between each of the lines is different.  Is there an easy to achieve this? I admit I am new to the program haha.  Should I make the text in html code as opposed to using CSS?
    Any help would be great!
    Thank you =)

You would never want to publish email addresses on your publicly accessible web site.  Spammers will flock to them like white on rice!  Eventually, the person's inbox will be inundated with spam mail.
For best results, build an HTML form that is styled with CSS.
    http://speckyboy.com/2009/07/02/20-resources-and-tutorials-for-creative-forms-using-css/
Then use a form-to-email processing script in whichever server-side language your web host recommends.  Ideally, your script should contain the email addresses (not the form) and have anti-spam measures built-in.

  • Question About Text Message With LG Env3 phone

I'm getting an arrow and it's sending a text from one Verizon phone to another.  What does this mean?
<Branched to a new discussion for more exposure.>
Message was edited by: Verizon Moderator

Here's my understanding and experience with two Verizon Env3's and other LG phones - the green check means the message was successfully sent to another Verizon (mobile) phone number.  The green arrow means the message was successfully sent, but the number is outside the Verizon network.  If sending to an iPhone or Android, even if the phone is Verizon, the recipient may be using a texting app rather than regular text messaging.  In that case you'd get the green arrow instead of the green check mark.

  • Question about import photos into iphoto/aperture

I have my own folder of photos in my hard drive. If I want to import them into iphoto/aperture, will all the photos be dupilicated on my hard drive?
If yes, this will use double of my hard drive space, it's not a good thing, right?

There are a couple of ways to answer this.
    1. Yes... and no... and no
By default iPhoto copies the files into the iPhoto Library when importing. This is called a Managed Library  If you work in the default setting then your "own folder of photos" is pointless and you can trash it.
You can set iPhoto to simply reference the files - that is not copy them. However, I strongly urge you not to do this, especially if you're new to Mac and/or iPhoto. For more on this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3062728?tstart=0
In the case of Aperture there are less pitfalls running a Referenced Library. You can also run Managed Library with it.
In any case, with either app, if you go the Managed route then the idea is to trash your own filing system. It becomes pointless.
More importantly, if you use either iPhoto or Aperture then you never access the files in those folders anyway. Anything and everything you want or need to do via your Photos is done via the Manger - i.e. iPhoto or Aperture. These apps quite replace the Finder for the task.

    TD

  • Question about syncing photos

If I sync the photos between windows xp and iPod, will it delete whatever music I no longer having in my library in iTunes?? Or will it just delete whatever pictures on the iPod that I no longer have??

I'm still unclear exactly how you're syncing or from what app you're syncing them from.  You should be able to sync as many different "albums" (folders) as you want.

  • Another question about merging photos

I am trying to take a person from one photo and p
lace her in another, The hair selection is what is getting me. She has blond hair and is on a solid background, Is there a way I can remove the background and nmake her hair selection look better. I am new to this so, if anyone knows how to do this, could tou please post instructions. I have Photoshop elements 9.

Try using the magic selector to select the solid background rather than the subject.
Then on the top menu click Select >>Inverse
That will automatically select the subject. Then press Ctrl+J to put the subject on it’s own transparent layer.
You can then drag in the photo you want to use and place it below the transparent layer.
Use the move tool to position it.

  • Question about Tagging Photos

I know that you can Tag photos INSIDE iphoto, but is there a way (program or method or function) that allows you to tag photos OUTSIDE of iphoto (for example, if the photo is on my computer in some random folder) and then later on import into iPhoto and have the tags be recognized by iphoto?
I would appreciate any advice or help.
    Thanks.

What kind of Tag are you speaking of?
Any tag that is in the correct EXIF or IPTC field will import to iPhoto - not all fields can be accessed in iPhoto
