Question about USMM: SSCR keys related

Hi  All,
I met a problem when using USMM.
When I excute user classification, I found some users with SSCR key are not developer,
so I deleted their SSCR registrations from SAP Support Portal,
but after that, I can still see they are with SSCR key in user classification.
And a related question, should I check this in development system or in production system?
I check them both, and in both of them I can still see they are with SSCR key in user classification.
Please give some advice if someone know it.
Regards,
              Allen

Hi,
1
Should the SSCR key data only locate in development system?
I also found SSCR key data in production system and QAS system.
(our system landscape are 3 system structure: development, QAS, production ).
Should I also delete the data in them?
In general, no changes should be allowed in QAS and the PRD servers. So, as a good pracice we should not have the users registered as developers in the QAS ans PRD.
2
Is it neccessary to delete the SSCR key user record from Sap Support Portal ?
If you are sure that the developers are no longer with ur firm, you can remove their developer key from SAP SMP. For ur reference in future, u better have the list of developers from the SAP SMP for ur firm and then delete them in SAP SMP.

  • A question about the XS key

    Hi,
    I have a quick question about the XS key used for Logic. Now, the XS key is a small piece of hardware and it is very susceptible to being misplaced or lost.
    If someone were to lose the XS key, how would one be able to obtain another XS Key? Would that person need to buy Logic all over again? Or can they make a special order to get another one based on proof of ownership of Logic?
    it's just a small question.
    thanks

    There have been threads about this recently if you search for them.
    I think someone said they got theirs replaced for about $80.

  • Quick question about Quicktime media keys.......

    I had a question about encoding video and media keys. It seems to me that the only codec that allows you to encode it with a media key is Sorenson (Sorenson 3 I think). Why are they the only ones that are enabling that in their codecs? Is it kind of a dying technology or practice? I've experimented with Sorenson 3 and Sorenson Squeeze trials and, even though it looks ok, it simply doesn't stack up to others like Apple's H.264 or open-source x264 or even Xvid. I guess I wish there were a way to be able to use media key options with all the new H.264 codecs. Is it possible to do that, either with Xcode or AppleScript? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    QuickTime has supported 'media keys" since version 3 but you can only add them using the third party software.
    You would be better served by contacting Sorenson and asking them about their support for newer codecs.

  • Question about table row key

    Hi,
    There is a table named mytable in the JSF page. After I retrieve rows from database and execute the method on one of the rows: System.out.println(mytable.getRowKey());
    the following message is printed on the Jdev console:
    [oracle.jbo.Key[rrpm BK 9712 2 AAAHdMAAWAAAAfZAAG ]]
    That is a composite row key. Now I want to get part of the row key like BK.
    How can I get that?
    Thanks
    Stephen

    Krithika,
    Thanks for the reply.
    To get part of the row key using the substring method is not practical because the length of each part of the row key may change row by row.
    Any other idea to get part of a table row key precisely?
    Thanks

  • Question about SAP standard functionality related to the GL master record.

    My question is;
    Is this a SAP standard functionality to update the description ( long text or short) of a GL account (in master record) in one company code when we change the description of the same GL account in another company code which is assigned to the same chart of account?
    For example we have two company codes and both are assigned to the same chart of account and we are changing long text of one GL account in one CoCd. Should it update the long text of the same GL account in other CoCd assigned to the same chart of account? If so, then is this a standard SAP functionality or there is any setting where we can turn this functionality on or off.
    Thanks in advance for help n answer.

    Hi
    GL accounts control takes place two leval

  • Question about Win7 product key and Win8 upgrade

    Please correct me if i am wrong .
    I have got the impression that this is a general product key found on the back of many laptops HYF8J-CVRMY-CM74G-RPHKF--****
    if i bought the win 8 upgrade and it activated on my *desktop* (supposing i installed win7 using this key) what does that mean? since this is a general key on many laptops.
    Does it mean that I am legally eligible to the upgrade?

    Hi
    First of all the Win 7 key which you can find on the bottom belongs to the preinstalled image.
    This is Win 7 key. Your Win 7 system was already activated by default
    Now to Win 8 upgrade:
    Visit this Toshiba EU Win 8 upgrade page to get details:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/generic/windows8-message
    The Win 8 upgrade is available if you have purchased a PC preloaded with genuine Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013.
    If your notebook is was NOT purchased between June 2, 2012 and January 31, 2013 you will not be able to upgrade Win 7 to Win 8 but you will need to purchase the full Win 8 version.
    The key would be supplied by Microsoft via mail.

  • Question about active queue and related msg of Nets.Messaging server 4.15

    I have Netscape Messaging Server 4.15 Patch 7 (buil

    Why?
    Very often number of file are few hundred, when the emulator of sendmail shows only twenty-thirty messages.
    And I see that the messages in active queue (if I open them with commands like more, view...) are all for local domains on server, so mailbox-deliver.
    There are sometimes a lot of messages of months ago...

  • A question about foreign key to multiple tables

    Hello everybody,
    I have a question about creating foreign key and I would appreciate if you could kindly give me a hand. Here are my tables:
    CREATE TABLE TEAM1(team_id VARCHAR2(20), project_id VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE TEAM1 ADD CONSTRAINT PK_TEAM1 PRIMARY KEY(team_id);
    CREATE TABLE TEAM2(team_id VARCHAR2(20), project_id VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE TEAM2 ADD CONSTRAINT PK_TEAM2 PRIMARY KEY(team_id);although the structure of both the tables is exactly the same, the values (in particular team_id) in both tables are different.
    Also I have another table named AGENT
    CREATE TABLE AGENT(agent_id VARCHAR2(20), team_id VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE AGENT ADD CONSTRAINT PK_AGENT PRIMARY KEY(agent_id)Now the problem is that the column team_id in AGENT table is actually a foreign key, but the value can be in either TEAM1 or TEAM2. As far as I know a foreign key points only to one table.
    How can I deal with this problem? Whenever there is an INSERT or UPDATE I have to make sure that the value of the column "team_id" in the table "AGENT" is a valid value either in "TEAM1" or "TEAM2"
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind Regards,
    Dariyoosh

    Do you have the ability to change the data model? If so a more appropriate structure may be something like this:
    CREATE TABLE TEAM(team_id VARCHAR2(20), team_name VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE TEAM ADD CONSTRAINT PK_TEAM PRIMARY KEY(team_id);
    ALTER TABLE TEAM ADD CONSTRAINT UK_TEAM UNIQUE (team_name);
    CREATE TABLE TEAM_PROJECT(team_id VARCHAR2(20), project_id VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE TEAM ADD CONSTRAINT PK_TEAM_PROJECT PRIMARY KEY(team_id, project_id);
    ALTER TABLE AGENT ADD CONSTRAINT FK_TEAM_PROJECT1 FOREIGN KEY (team_id) REFERENCES TEAM(team_id);
    CREATE TABLE AGENT(agent_id VARCHAR2(20), team_id VARCHAR2(20));
    ALTER TABLE AGENT ADD CONSTRAINT PK_AGENT PRIMARY KEY(agent_id);
    ALTER TABLE AGENT ADD CONSTRAINT FK_TEAM FOREIGN KEY (team_id) REFERENCES TEAM(team_id);Edited by: Centinul on Jun 25, 2010 10:50 AM

    Q. if you have an Employee class with related EmployeeSubordinate and
    EmployeeSalaryHistory classes, should these all be in the same plan?
    A It is better to have them in the same plan.It depends on the design

    Q Why should the Managers be separated from their business classes?
    A Managers are usually service objects which might require different
    resources.
    These managers when deployed might be required by several other

    Seperating them as a different plan will help in just using one

    Q If you have the Database managers separate, what scope does each DB

    A It is better to have the DB managers in user scope.
    It depends on the numbers of users, u have for the system.
    Since u are talking about 100 tables. It's a huge system.

    Hi there,
    We are in the middle of designing the structure of a new system.
    I have read/heard that it is best to break down the plans into the
    following categories:
    Business Classes
    Managers/Services
    Clients
    I have a few questions about this structure:
    Should related business classes be grouped together in Plans? E.g. if
    you have an Employee class with related EmployeeSubordinate and
    EmployeeSalaryHistory classes, should these all be in the same plan?
    Why should the Managers be separated from their business classes?
    E.g. if there is an EmployeeMgr service which deals with anything to do
    with the Employee business class, why separate them in different
    plans? If you need the manager to access the class, you will always
    need both.
    Some of the Forte documentation talks about "Policy" managers and
    "Database" managers. How do the functions of these managers differ
    for a simple CRUD (Create Read Update Delete) class?
    If you have the Database managers separate, what scope does each
    DB manager cover? I.e. do you have one for the entire database (over
    100 tables in our case), or do you break it down by sub-system?
    Thanks in advance for any answers.

  • Some basic questions about foriegn key , and relationships.

    Hi
    Thank you for reading my post
    I read some documents about foreugn key and tables relation ships.
    but i still can not understnad some stuff.
    1-when we have a foreign key , we have two tables that we want to relate them together
    in a way that one of ? table columns forced to be a value from ?? table column.
    what is name of those two tables , i saw , child-parent , ..... which confuse me.
    can some one please tell me correct name of those two tables ?
    2-some times we need some kind of master details relation like :
    one-to-many : i this case MANY table will have a column to point a record in ONE table , can this relation be a foreign key relation ?
    3-we can achieve many-to-many relation only by using a helper table to host both tables primary keys in a record to relate them together.
    can you point me to some resources that help me to find answers to this questions ?
    or explain them to me ?
    thank you for your time.

    These are critical database basics that you need to understand. I would seriously recommend getting some study in, because proper relational database design relies on the basic principle of data and relationships and a process called normalization.
    In reality, you only really need one gigantic table to host data. It would include everything you would want to know about something - let's take a sales order for example. You would have to record the customer's name, address, etc. along with every item they ordered, etc. You would have a HUGE table full of data that appeared over and over and over again. This is bad design for two basic reasons: it is difficult to query, and it is very easy to have minor mistakes like capitalization or alternate spellings that prevent things from matching up properly. For example, let's say Bob orders 40 widgets and 40 digits. In our hypothetical table, we could put it in as Bob - 40 widgets and Robert - 40 digits. See how confusing this can get even in a simple example? And let's say you wanted to correct all of Robert's orders to say Bob and you found out there were 40 orders from "Robert" How would you know which ones to change?
    The process of normalization helps to reduce the chance for these types of errors in addition to creating a good basis for indexes. You normalize the data by creating sets of parent/child tables with a "key" value to match them. In our hypothetical situation, you could create a table for orders and a table for customers. In the customers table you give all the detail for the customer in one place, and you assign each customer a unique number or ID. In the orders table we add the customer ID (NOT the name) and we ensure that we are getting the customer we want, in addition to saving a lot of space and eliminating redundancy. In our example, the customers table is the "parent" table and the orders table is the "child" table. The child table references the unique entries in the parent table via that id. That reference is referred to as a foreign key. The foreign key in the child table points back to the original and complete record in the parent table and eliminates the redundancy of keeping all that extra data for every order. Foreign keys in child tables always refer to a primary/unique key in the parent field.
    That help?

  • A simple question about Drag and Relate navigation

    Dear experts
    I have found SAP help or related manuals only good at talking difficult things such as how to customise the drag and relate targets, etc.  However, after I followed exactly and then how to test.
    Then I just see pieces of information, very unstructured.  Spending me a whole day, even I can't get a good simple example on how to really perform a drag and relate at least for the proof of concept at EP 6.0.   It spent a lot of time in describing what the navgiation panels about, what drag and relate targets.  Then how to do it in once transversal.  That is, with all customisation, how to drag and relate an object.
    My step is with iview A, shows a purchase order details showing a drag and relate enabled object like vendor no.
    Then I try to drag this vendor no. to a display vendor iview, iview B.
    I have known I have to put iview A and iview B to a Drag-and-relate targets.  I am sure I have done this.  Does it mean opening the portal, I will see both iview A and iview B appearing at the same time in the drag-and-relate target area?  However, in my case, it is not, iview A only appears in that area when I load it once, same to view B.  When I load iview B, iview A links from D&R target will be wiped off.  Then how I can drag an item from iview A to B while each one of them can only appear at any time.
    Can anyone give me a simple guide (don't give me an internet link from help.com) I have been tired of this.
    First, I would to make sure if my so called self-learnt drag-and-relate simple action is correct in the steps or really I have made something wrong in the customisation or even a bug there.
    Can anyone on the planet have this experience, pls. act as my teacher in this area?
    Rgds
    Stephen

    Thanks
    I have tried the 1st way already.  But I can see both iviews existing in the D & R targets.  Now I try to drag an item with business object BUS2002 from iview A to relate to LFA1 of iview B of the same back end system.
    But iview B shown up with that data of LFA1 shown up (in my case the vendor no.)
    I have used autocomplete relationship and I have checked it has been well-defined already.  Also check from metadata at backend they are both active.
    Do you have any clues to the pitfall in my case?

  • Two basic, related questions about external HDs and trashing/erasing

    I have a couple of questions about using an external hard drive that I can't seem to get answered by surfing around. They'll probably seem stupid and basic, but ... Here they are:
    1. When you drag a file from your external hard drive to the trash, does that file actually transfer to the main hard drive's trash, and thus the main hard drive? For instance, say I'm deleting a 4 GIG file. Will I temporarily add 4 GIGs to my main drive in the process of deleting it?
    2. With a multipartitioned ext. drive, can you erase the contents of a single partition with the disk utility, thus bypassing having to drag-trash everything on that partition?
    Thanks.
    G5 iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.2)   Powerbook (10.4.6)

    1. No. The files are moved to an invisible .Trash directory on the external volume. No copying of data takes place between volumes when you move stuff to the trash.
    2. Yes. You can use Disk Utility to erase or securely erase just a single Volume on a disk, leaving the other volumes unaffected. Simply click on the name of the Volume in the left pane of Disk Utilitly, click on the Erase tab in the right pane, and choose the options you want for erasing the volume.
