Question as to why I can't read online pdfs

I am unable to read pdfs in Safari. Suddenly. I have Adobe Reader 11.0.04. What should I do?

Hi There-
I am using Firefox for my browser and if I try to open any online pdf page I get the following message
"The Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser. please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your web browser and try again"
I have checked for updates in Firefox, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe reader, which is 9.3 version. But to no avail,,,I still get the same message. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I upgraded from OS Leopard 10.5 to OS Snow Leopard 10.6 recently, which is why I mentioned it could be "the" cause or "one" cause of me not being able to read online pdf's. My online pdf bank statements do not open up with Reader 9.3.3. The website simply says I need to download "Asian Font Pack" in order to read the pdf document. I've downloaded all languages, yet I'm still getting the same message. I've also triple checked to see if I have an older version of Reader that might be of hindrance. I only have 9.3.3 installed.
I am able to read pdf's already downloaded on my computer, just not the online pdf's I want to open.
So, I'm not sure if the problem is Adobe Reader or me upgrading to Snow Leopard (since I was able to read pdf's with Leopard).
I hope this clarifies my previous plea for help. Thanks.

If you aren't getting the reset link on the Password & Security section of your account then you don't have a rescue email address (an alternate email address is different), and you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions - you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

I can't read some pdf documents on my computer

I can't read some pdf documents on my computer with the Adobe Reader X programme.
Sometimes i can read old documents, but in the last months sometimes is possible and sometimes it's impossible.
My OS is a windows 7. I just disinstalled and reinstalled the Adobe Reader X programme but the problem persist.

If you are seeing the same blank PDF, then I suppose that you are not having the latest version of Adobe Reader i.e 10.1.4 or it can be that the browser is being used in 64-bit mode. Please use 32-bit mode of your browser.

In order to read the pdf either you need Acrobat or Adobe Reader,
Acrobat is a paid software and used to read and edit the pdf files.
Reader is the free software used to just read the pdf files.

Can't read my PDFs

I've a new MacBook Air and can't read my PDFs using Acrobat for more than a few seconds. I get a message saying it's part of a suite and I need to activate another component such as Photoshop. When I try to do that I get another message saying licensing has stopped. The error is 150.30. This is really annoying. Can anyone help? Thank you.

I have Adobe Reader XI but I can not read a pdf online, I must save it and then open. This never happened before.

The system attempts to download the pdf, but it is a dark grey screen. I can save this as a file and then open it using Adobe. Why two steps? I should be able to read the first one. This is extremely annoying.

How can I read a pdf file using an ALC process

I have a pdf form with a schema, I want to read the pdf form in to an xml with same schema so that i can process the data that i get from the pdf file.
I have tried the following
I have created an input document variable (where i ll give my pdf form as input)
I have created an output xml variable with the same schema as the input pdf document.
I have created a process with set value service which assign the input pdf into the xml variable(so that i ll get the data from the pdf in to xml)
Is the above approch is correct ..
If any one knows, please suggest an approch to read my pdf.

The fact that you have used a schema merely meand that the submission of the form data will be in the format defined by the schema. Generally when you submit the form you associate an XML variable in the user step to recieve that data (this assumes that your form is setup to submit xdp data). If you associate your schema with that XML variable you will be able to expand and see teh structure of your schema when using SetValue services etc. If you are merely interested in getting what was submitted (say to validate the data against the schema) you will have to assign the inbound data to another variable and remove the outer nodes that were added for our internal purposes (xfa.datasets.data). This is done in a setValue where you woudl use an XPath expresion of xfa/datasets/data/* (meaning that all nodes below the data norde are copied to the named variable.

Why is floating toolbar on online pdf files inactive?

I am running Windows 7 Professional and Adobe Reader 10.1.2. When trying to save online PDF files to my hard drive I cannot make use of the save button on the floating toolbar (see image). Can anybody explain why and what if any settings I need to change?

Dear Ankit, I reverted the check box option in Adobe Reader and rebooted my computer to make sure the changes took effect. When I tried to save the file for which you had included the link, I found the buttons in the reader toolbar on top still inactive. See first screenprint. No floating toolbar in this document. As stated previously the only way to save this file to my computer is to use the command toolbar on my browser. I then tried to save a PDF file downloaded from a Sony website (see link below and 2nd and 3rd screenshot). This time the floating toolbar showed up but again, it was inactive. I don't understand why the floating toolbar on some PDF files shows while on others it doesn't. Regardless, in either case the reader toolbars are inactive. Please try this yourself by going to the link below. I wonder if you experience any of my problems. Thanks!

How can I read a PDF stored on iCloud on my iPhone?

Dear all,
I'd like to store and retrieve PDF's on iCloud on my iPhone. So far I can't figure out how to retrieve a PDF from iCloud and read it on my iPhone. Is there an app I should down load? How is this done? Any help would be great.

ITunes 11.1.5 Why I can't see added PDF files!

I added some PDF files to my Library and I still can't see them on the left side menu where I can se my Videos, music and Apps...
what could be the reason?

You no longer use iTunes to handle pdfs.
iBooks > File > Add to library.
If the pdf is an email attachment: control click > Open with > iBooks.
Some pdfs on websites have the option to 'Open in iBooks'.
