2 Questions I'm affraid
Question 1
I am using Captivate 5. Is there a way to say have 10 questions in a question bank but randomly only ever show 5 questions.
For example two people sitting next to each other at a PC both taking the same course which has 5 questions, however they both see different questions.
Question 2
can I attach more than one question bank to a test. For example: A person is being tested on several different subjects from say Pain management to fire saftey. Is there away to set up several question banks and attach them to one test and randomly take questions from each bank. ie
Question Bank 1 Fire Safety . . 10 questions
Question Bank 2 Pain Management . . 10 Questions
Question Bank 3 Resucitation . . 10 Questions
I want the acutual test to randomly take five questions from each bank.

What you describe should be possible using question pools in Captivate.
A question pool can have dozens of questions but if you only have 5 slides in your movie linked to that question pool then your users will only ever see 5 randomly selected questions each time the movie is played.
Just be aware that those same 5 questions will be visible during that session no matter how many times the learner retakes the quiz. In order to see a different set of 5 randomised questions from the same pool the learner would need to relaunch the entire lesson again.
If two people log onto the same PC and each launches the same lesson (separately) then they will see a different randomised set of questions from the same pool.
You can have multiple question banks in the same project, and each can have as many questions as you need. All you need to do is insert question slides in your movie and select the option that they are randomised questions. When you select this option, you get the drop down menu that allows you to select which question pool the questions will be drawn from for that slide. If you later decide you want the slide to draw from a different pool, you can easily change this in the Properties tab.

If you think a bit outside the box there is. You could create
a few different Captivate movies that are nothing more than
question sets. You could then use some coding in an HTML page to
randomize the different Captivate movies. But other than that, no.
I've seen more than a few folks asking for this

VidhyaFor concept of question bank - Yes, you can do this...just build all the questions you wish to be associated with the test through the Test Author. Then make sure at the item group level, you define the item number to be used for Dynamic Item Selection. You also need to remember to select checkbox for Dynamic item selection on the Test Attributes screen so it is enabled.

For question randomization, this is also possible. Set the Random Sequence on the Test Attributes page to whatever you desire. -

CP7 quizzes with multiple question banks not working
Hello there
I have worked 2 weeks on creating a quiz to be published in HTML5 and now that I am finally ready to publish it appears that CP7 has a problem when publishing a quiz with all random questions taken from more than 4 question pools.
Up to 3 question pools HTML5 works like a charm but add a 4th one and it all goes to hell.
I have 60 questions taken from 11 question pools and many questions appear blank (just the background appears and the slide keeps going for its 3 seconds untill it automatically jumps to the next question not giving the possibility to answer and therefore scoring it negatively. (the answer all questions is active).
Now if I publish the same project as SWF the quiz has no problems and works just fine but I would really like to be able to have people take the quiz on their iPad and also I was actually going to convert it into an iPad app but that now appears impossible to do.
Is there a solution to the problem? Is CP7 limited to 3 Question Pools when publishing as HTML5?

During HTML5 publish, are you getting a warning with the text ' There are more random question slides than questions available in the pool...’. If yes, then can you please take the corrective action and see it resolves the issue or not?
In case if you are facing this issue with proper number of question, random question slides, then please share the .cptx file with us so that we can investigate the issue at our end. Please upload it to a shared workspace (Acrobat.com) and send me the link to [email protected]

Hello everyone!
I could use some help. We've transition to SAP B1 in June and I have very little training on how it works. Here are my questions:
1) I entered payments in Business1 for vendors that payments are auto deducted from our bank account using Outgoing payments>check tab and now all these auto payments are in my document printng page. There are a bunch of them.
How do I get them out of there? These payments were taken out of the bank already so i don't want to print these payments.
I guess what I should done is chose the bank transfer tab so that the payments automatically reduced my bank account balance.
2) When I issue the checks to vendors, I went to outgoing payments tab and change the GL code from Bank account to Check Clearing Account. With my previous software i use this account for vendor payments and when the checks clear the bank, i move them to the bank account. I guess with SAP BI, Checking clearning account only applies to deposited check payments . So now I am stuck, don't know how to move these cleared payments to my Bank account. Can anyone help?

My husband and I both have i phone 4 on the same itune acct but his phone is saying its a new device and will not let him buy anything off of our acct without answering security questions. these questions are not the ones we set up the acct with. my iphone device is not having this problem. Help!

What I need to know is "how" I can separate or rather create another Apple ID for my son-who is currently using "my Apple ID?" If there is a way to let him keep "all" his info on his phone (eg-contacts, music, app's, etc.) without doing a "reset?') Somehow I need to go into his phone's setting-create a new Apple ID and possibly a new password so he can still use our combined iCloud & Itunes account?
Also then letting me take back my Apple ID & password, but again allowing us (my son and I) to use the same iCloud & Itunes account? Does that make more sense??? I'm sincerely trying to get this cleared up once and for all----just need guidance from someone who has a true understanding of the whole Apple iCloud/Itunes system!

Interview Questions :: Correct questions to ask ?

I just got off another Interview that I took & was disappointed once again.
We are looking for mid-level Programmers who can write good code ( which would initiate good debates ) as well as "think" on thier own ( not just patch freely avaliable code from Google & dish out average solutions ).
I was initailly impressed with a Candidate's Profile, but when I interviewed the Candidate on the "nuts & bolts" of the stuff in the Profile, I came to understand that the person could code, but not analyze :( ( a subjective viewpoint ).
Here are a few questions that I posed :-
1. Can you run two JVMs off the same JDK ?
2. If yes ( to Question #1 ), how would you call a class in JVM1 in JVM2.
3. Why does the JDBC Specification have so many Interfaces & just a couple of Concrete classes ?
4. Can you develop an RDBMS using only Java / J2EE ?
5. Can you access www.Google.com in a simple POJO running in a standalone JVM ?
Well, the answers to all these Questions are usually a blunt "No" or "I don't know".
I find it amazing that many programmers, who spend 2-3 yrs coding in Java do not reflect on some of the bare fundamentals.
I request the opinion of the people who participate in this Forum - am I aksing the wrong questions or am I talking to the wrong people in the Interviews?
I apologize if this is not the best place to ask the question, but I am trying to reach out to a large number of Java Enthusiasts like myself.

I think I would rephrase it in this manner :- " If yes to Question #1, How do you invoke a class in JVM2 from JVM 1".
A couple of my colleagues read my Post & opined that it all depended on "Exposure" vs. "Experience" - i.e:-
Exposure :- How many different "things" have you done in the past xx years ?
Experience :- How many times have you done the same "thing" in the past xx years ?
I defenitely don't subscribe to this view ( or the definitions) - I strongly believe that after some exposure to J2EE, your inner curiosity is awakened & you start asking questions to yourself - the "why" questions rather than the "how" questions. I do have my own arguments with the Architects, QAs, etc. & these talks do light many bulbs.
We are still arguing here while reading the intersting viewpoints......

You can use these steps to reset your Apple ID security questions:
Navigate to My Apple ID using your web browser.
Click "Manage your account"
When prompted, sign in using your Apple ID and password.
Click Password & Security
You'll be asked to answer 2 of your 3 security questions before you can make any modifications. If you are unable to remember your answers, you can choose to send an email to your rescue email to reset your security questions.

Newbie question - general question about e-mail sync
Hi,
I have a general question about email sync and BlackBerry smartphones. Are there any devices that allow email syncing with a Microsoft Exchange 2007 system that do not require the BlackBerry Enterprise server?
Thanks; sorry if this has been asked before but I was unable to find it in the forums, documentation, etc. Everything I found assumes that for this kind of environment you will be using a BlackBerry Enterprise solution, but I can't assume.

If the Exchange server has anything that faces the internet (OWA, POP, IMAP), then BIS can be used to handle email (only email...calendar and contacts require BES to sync OTA).
Or, a PC, inside the network (but with an internet path) and logged into the email server (using Outlook), can be left running, using the RIM Desktop Software's Desktop Redirector capability to forward messages to the BB.
Those are basically the options.

PL/SQL has no mechanism for promting the user and getting keyboard input. You'll have to do that through your front end. If you're using SQL*Plus, you can use the SQL*Plus ACCEPT command to prompt the user, get input and store it in a substitution variable.

Indent your code to show the extent of structural statements, like BEGIN and IF, and also to make long expressions (such as the multi-part || operations) easier to read and debug.
Noramlly, all functions are included in the package spec. If you didn't want users calling a function directly (say, for security reasons) then you include the function in the package body only. Is there any reason not to include these functions in the package spec?
When using dbms_output, remember to SET SERVEROUTPUT ON.

Multiclip multi questions (audio question and syncing question)
I have two questions concerning multiclip editing:
1. How do you select the audio from one angle to remain the audio throughout as opposed to the audio track changing every time you select a different video source?
2. If one camera in a three camera set-up stops recording for a technical issue and then goes back up, is there a way to sync both of those files to one angle of a multiclip? If not, is there a way to make them separate angles and sync via input on three angles and on output for the fourth angle?

instead of "Video + Audio".
2. Sorry, neither of your ideas will work. Multiclips work with actual media
clips, so two clips will be two angles; and the sync method (in, out, timecode)
is the same for all clips.
I suggest you assemble the two files from the camera in a sequence (using
identical settings as the clips), sync them up exactly (with a little space
between them), and export them using the same settings to make a new clip,
which you can then import and use for your multiclip.
