my question is Do i have to increase that to 128mb to get the full performance of my new video card (geforce fx5900xt 128mb)??

I believe the question is understood, but no one has announced the upgrade terms, if the speeds will change to the new tiers, or what the costs will be. If someone is saying a specific date, then I suspect the terms of the change will be announced prior to that date. But who knows, it could be announced after that date. We are all waiting for that news. I am at 35/35, and it would be nice to wake up at some point and see 75/35, but as I stated, I have not seen any of those terms of service announced at this time. So everyone is guessing right now at what might happen. We just need to wait and see. I would like to know, just like everyone else.

Question about the setup page for WRT54G2

I haven't really tinkered much on my router since I had a friend installed mine a couple years back but I did remember him saying to check for updates on it's firmware once in a while. I did just that but I came at a rather confusing point in my update... namely I found that you can acceess the page by typing in 192.168.1.1 in thhe browser but before I found that I ran into this site first:

that site is just a demonstration of what the Linksys router's administration page looks like. it's basically for instructional purposes only. anything you do on that page WILL NOT affect your router settings.
on the other hand, accessing http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change your router's settings.

No it wont and will not be made dual memory channel for 754 .
Thats one of the reasons for that 939 has increased from 754 to 939 pins (added connections to external memory sockets and internal cpu lanes)
A DDR has 184pins and add this second ddr channel to 754 and you get 938 .
(i don't know where the last pin comes in)

The site allows you to select 2 cards to compare. The list is not that comprehensive, but check it out and see how much performance difference there is between the cards.

Question about dual-monitor setup - advanced dock + PCIe card

I just got a Z60t at work. I had been using a dual monitor setup, but it doesn't look like my current config is going to fly w/ the new machine. Anyway, here's what I've got:
Primary monitor: Acer AL2416W (1920x1200 DVI)
Secondary monitor: Dell 1901FP (1280x1024 VGA)
I've read that the advanced dock might be able to let me use this setup with the Z60t if i put a PCIe video card in it. So here are my questions:
1. Will the advanced dock + PCIe video card allow me to run the two monitors listed above (I don't use the laptop screen at all)?
2. Which PCIe cards are compatible with the advanced dock?
3. Can I achieve the same resolutions with the advanced dock + PCIe card?
4. Will I need to split the VGA output, or can i use VGA + DVI like I do now (since the Z60t has no native DVI support)?

Gary -- don't turn on the OS Display Mirroring. Turn it off.
You want Aperture to control how it uses your dual monitors. (You do not want the OS to determine it.)
Once you've turned off the OS "Display Mirroring", the set-up I specified above should give you what you want.
That set-up is:
"View → Main Viewer → {anything}", and
"View → Secondary Viewer → Alternate"
You must have the Viewer active (not the Browser) in order to change the "Secondary Viewer" setting. If you are in the Browser, activate the Viewer by double-clicking an Image.
Let me know if that doesn't work.

Questions about the AMD 6450 Video card

I just got an HP 8200 elite and love it so far. It came with this card....
Windows 7 pro
Radeon 6450 512MB Video card.
My questions are these:
1. I have read it can support dual monitors. I know I can use a vga Y adapter but can I use vga and dv-1 at the same time?
2. Is there a manuel somewhere for this I cant find? I would think some vid cards that state dual monitor support would be able to split screens?????
3. Whats better to go to my TV to use as a monitor, VGA or dv-1?????

When I setup my new MacBook Pro, something slipped by me and my computer was named First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro (using my real first and last name).
I changed the computer name in Preferences/Sharing to a new name and Preferences/Accounts to just be Mike. I can right click on my account name, choose advanced, and see that everything looks right.
However, If I do a scan of my network with my iPhone using the free version of IP Scanner, it lists my computer as First-Lasts-MacBook-Pro! And it lists the user as First-Last.
So even though another Mac just sees my new computer name, and my home folder is Mike, somewhere in the system the original setup with my full name is still stored. And it's available on a network scan. So my full name might show up at a coffee shop.
Can I fully change the name without doing a complete re-install of Lion and all my apps?

One thought... you said the iPhone displayed your computer's old name? I think that you must have used the iPhone with this computer before you changed the name. So no one else's iPhone should display your full name unless that iPhone had previously connected to your Mac. For example, I did this exact same change, and I use the Keynote Remote app to connect with my MacBook Pro. It would no longer link with my MacBook Pro under the old name, and I found that I had to unlink and then create a new link under the new name. So the answer to your question is, there is nothing you need to do on the Mac, but rather the phone, and no other phone will display your full name.

Not sure if I'm following you. I have 4 hard drives installed on my Mac Pro. I had a RAID 5 configured and functional for about 5 months. My battery died on the RAID card. I replaced the battery, seated the RAID card back in the slot I removed it from. When I booted to the USB drive to look in the RAID utility, I could see the battery is charged but my volumes are not showing.
The drives don't show in disk Utility. I built the RAID with the RAID Utility and they did show there. I have a early 2008 Mac Pro, Mavricks OS running Mac Server

The Verizon iPhone 5 is sold as unlocked. You can buy it full retail and use it anywhere you want. However, you won't get LTE in Europe and you won't be eligible for warranty service unless you take the phone back to the U.S. You won't be able to buy one on a contract unless you can pass a U.S. credit check. The minimum monthly cost would be $59.99 plus tax. I assume that all of this information will be true of of the 5C as well.

I also have a question regarding the Knock out questionnaires in EHP4. I have set up a single selection questionnaire. I would like to see a green light for all but one of the answers and I can not make this happen. If I mark the 4 I want green as "Expected" they appear red as does the one that I don't want to be expected. If I gradually mark them 100, 90, 80, 60, they are all green, even the one I marked with zero points. If I gradually mark them and mark them expected they are ready. I have tried 9 different variations.

When you redeem multiple gift cards to your accounts, the premium months just stack with each other. You'll be just fine when you redeem your 6-month gift card, which will just extend your premium subscription for another 6 months for a total of 9 months. :)
