Question concerning simple mail

I use simple mail with Firefox and I would like to transfer a complete folder of emails to Entourage. Can somebody please help me? Where are stocked the email files of simple mail on the Mac? Many thanks for your help.

Mail/.Mac question concerning deleted mail

Is there a way to have my mail downloaded onto my computer (.mac server) such that when I delete the message from the server it doesn't disappear locally as well? In other words, my Mail app "syncs" with the .Mac server whenever it gets new mail, and I want to be able to remove messages from the server without removing them from my computer. Is this possible? If not, why is it not possible? Thanks.

With a .mac account configured in the normal mode of Account Type .mac, the account is the same as an IMAP account. With an IMAP account the Inbox actually resides on the server, as does normally at least the Sent mailbox. This is the advantage of IMAP account, such that multiple computers can see the same Inbox and same Sent mailbox, and whatever other folders are setup to reside on the server. This has great application in commercial, business environments, as you can imagine.
So, with Account Type .mac the messages are not downloaded to the computer, except temporarily for viewing, and in some cases for viewing while Offline.
You have two choices to do what you have asked:
1) Create one or more New Mailboxes (from the command in the Pull-Down under Mailbox in the menubar) to be On My Mac, and Select All or a portion of the messages in the Inbox and either Move To or Copy To the new On My Mac mailboxes., or
2) Remove the .mac account, which for the moment will not alter the contents of the server, and then set the .mac account up again, but this time as Account Type POP. As a POP account server the messages will actually be downloaded to your computer as you check the account, and then you can elect to have the message removed immediately from the server, or later as per a schedule that can be set in Mail Preferences/Accounts/Advanced. As a POP, deleting from the server will not impact the messages already downloaded to your Mac.
With a POP account the Sent mailbox is never on the server, and thus any Sent messages will only be available to the one computer from which they were sent.

I got some questions concerning Simple Transformations:
1.) When editing a simple transformation, how to insert comments? In pure ABAP, a comment line must have as asterisk in the first column...
2.) I use <tt:loop>...</tt:loop> and want to use the index of the currently processed entry, like SY-TABIX when implementing a "LOOP AT itab" in ABAP. Is there a way?

With the simple transformation tt cond statment you can make an XML tag optional. In below example during deserialisation xml tag <INCO1> will be skipped when not availabke in the xml and SAP data E1EDL20.INCO1 will not be filled by the transformation.

I can't empty the trash in Simple Mail

This is the second time I am asking this question. The last time, I was only given a link to a non-Mozilla site, and they can't help me.
I tried enabling the "empty trash on exit" box, but it has no effect.
I tried right-clicking on the trash folder and clicking "empty," but I get an error message: Invalid response: no such message.
I am now storing 250 read messages in the trash and climbing. I need some real help, please.

That extension isn't made by Mozilla, even though AMO hosts that extension it is made by a 3rd party. There is a link on the AMO download page - [http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2497499 Support site] - which is the link that I posted in your first question about Simple Mail. Each extension developer has the responsibility of supporting their extension. We do try to answer questions about extensions which we are familiar with, but as I said before, I don't use that extension myself. And since no one else answered your other two postings about Simple Mail, I can only assume that no one else coming here is familiar with that extension either.

Question concerning hand-me-down RAM...

Wasn't sure where to post this since it concerns both a Macbook Pro 15" (2010) and a Macbook 13" (2010).
Both my wife and bought new laptops in May.
Me: Macbook Pro 15" (2010) (macbookpro6,2) with 4 gigs of Ram
Her: Macbook 13" (2010) (macbook7,1) with 2 gigs of Ram.
I want to upgrade to 8 gigs of Ram.
My question is simple -- Will the 2 sticks of 2 gig Ram taken out of my macbookpro work in her Macbook 13"? i.e. I want to replace the two 1 gig sticks in hers with the two 2 gig sticks.
I've been all over OWC's website and they don't seem to list "macbook7,1" on any of the chips. I'm wondering if they just haven't gotten around to updating it or if I'm missing something.

Both of those Macs use 204 pin PC3-8500 (1066mhz) DDR3 SO-DIMMS.

Question concerning Servicing

Hey all.
I have a question concerning the servicing of my Macbook.
My laptop (less than a year old and still under warrenty) has several dead pixels on the display and the case has developed a chip on the palm rest when the display lid (prongs) meets the palm rest (I believe that this is a popular problem). I did initiate a self repair on the chipped palm rest with super glue to fix it temporarily.
The question is if i take my laptop to the Genius bar, will I be able to get both the screen repaired and the palm rest repaired. And if so how long do you think it will take to replace both and any indication about costs.

I would think you would have no problem with just a simple super-gluing of the palm rest, provided you didn't get it all over the rest of the case. Dead pixels may be another issue. Industry standards say that a certain amount of dead pixels are acceptable. Yield would go way down if all LCD panels were required to be perfect and stay perfect. Your best course of action is to make an appointment and ask. Good luck.

Dreamweaver cs6 suite development questions/concerns

I am new a new creative cloud subscriber. I have past experience with programming a java environments and SQL. I am new to HTML5/CSS3 and have read a book on the subject to understand the design concepts in effort to find a good environment to develop mobile applications. I like what I see using fireworks to create HTML5/CSS3 to create code for more complex objects/elements.
Additionally, watched all the videos and am ready to roll up my sleeves and get started. As I have watched the videos and goggled allot of forums regarding DM CS6 and web applications I have a few questions and concerns. I will preface this with the understanding that this involves new features/ technologies and will suffer some growing pains.
Questions/ Concerns:
1) Fluid Grid Layout tool:
Can I create a mobile application with this tool that will work on both tablets and smart phones (not desktops) compiling a single optimized site using the phone gap tool; or do I have to create 2 separate site and compile?
2) Phone Gap
I have read that there are allot of issues with compiling applications. Even watching the adobe road show video, they could not get it to work (yikes).I have also read that I phone product code need to be compiled using xcode(tools); needed to have an apple subscription (which I have access to) What are the known issues compiling mobile applications for the different device platforms?
3) Sever-Side Mobile Applications
a) As I understand it, this cannot be accomplished with this environment without a web service that communicates to the server-side scripting/ Database server.
b) Reading about local storage, what are the limitations and how do they effect mobile applications if there is more complex scripting and large record sets?
C) Are there ways to create user/ security roles (I would imagine the integrity issues with security would be staggering)?
4) Responsiveness
I have played around DM, I have noticed it crashing and being very sluggish. I know its not memory or processing issues as I have read several posts on the topic.
It seems that adobe is making it easier to design and develop within one product/suite. These tools seem very powerful. The direction makes sense as I like elements of both development and design. I am concerned that I will hit walls and want to avoid banging my head. I am still new to this environment and the mistakes may be mine. With that being said, do you think Adobe will get these issues resolved out and have a great environment and development model.
Thanks in advance for the light anyone can shed on these subjects as I am eager to get started (but a bit worried).

Item 3:
Are you talking about apps. or web pages on mobile devices, (they are not the same thing)?
If web pages then the server/database side is no different to a normal web page which does require a server supporting these. As for local storage, (works whilst off-line) this is normally done via javascript and a local database, but I would not use this feature for anything too complicated as the database is stored on the users computer/device, and only 'communicates' with your server/database when the user is once again on-line and connected to your web page.
As for item 3.c. - Doing this for off-line use is a complete waste of time, as the user has access to any encryption code and the database entry's, which they can then use when on-line again. A simpler solution would be to require just the users credentials and store this locally, (still not ideal, but at least all the users DB is not downloaded).
Regarding item 4. Some users have reported problems, but for me personally 99.9% of them I have not experienced with the release version of CS6, and performance issues for me all vanished when I upgraded my PC to an i7 processor with 16Gb memory, an extreme solution for many I admit, but your computers speed and memory will have a dramatic effect on the user experience.

Create a simple mail form

I want to create a simple mail form using portal. The form must not use the HTML "mailto:", cause this requires a mail client to be installed at the customers computer. So I want to use the UTL_SMTP package. I managed to send mails with this package, but the problem is: how do I build my form with lets say 3 fields, so that i can pass the entered values to the SendMail-Funtion? I tried to create a form based on a table, then add new items and delete the table-based-items, but that doesnt work. I cant access the not table-based-items and found the reasons for that in the forums here. Then I tried to do it with a dynamic page, but I didnt succeed in calling my send-mail-function from the dynamic page. How can I do it?

In the settings Adobe Bridge - in "open RAW-files by double-clicking in Adobe Camera Raw» box is checked. When you try any changes in the settings Adobe Bridge system displays a message:

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.

There is no such thing as 'master iPad'. If you're using Configurator or Profile Manager control of the setup is done from a Macintosh.

Suddenly I see the usual blue box with question mark inside mail messages instead of pix.
That did not happen before.
It happened only on certain pages with Safari, like the google news feed which did not display pix.
However, this new mail problem is really disturbing.
I checked Little Snitch and port 80 is open.
I checked java pref.
I am at a loss.
PLEASE HELP!

That indicates that your Mail preferences are setup to not display remote images in email messages. You should check Mail->Preferences->Viewing and make surre the box to 'Display remote images in HTML messages' is checked.
I checked java pref.
Java has nothing to do with Mail, or displaying images in it or any browser.
