Hi,
I am curious as to wether Apple is aware of the problems with RME users and QuickTime 7 (there are previous posts on this subject).
Is a workaround planned / being worked on?
QT7 compatibility is important for my business and it would be nice to know wether this issue is going to be resolved or not (so at least I (and others) would know wether or not to migrate to another format)

Why would the security question for Apple ID be different to those I answered when I set up the account.

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
Whichever method you use, you probably won't get a response until the 26th. If you absolutely must make a purchase before then, create a new Apple ID; you won't be able to transfer previous purchases or iTunes Store credit to it.

Parallels has it. VMWare Fusion has it. Why can't Boot Camp do 'trackpad click'???
I'm buggered if I can work out what was actually UPGRADED in BC 2.0 -- seems to work exactly the same as the beta versions.

And FWIW, I hate trackpad click. Whenever I try to help someone on a laptop which has it on by default, I end up clicking on everything when I'm only trying to move the mouse pointer. So I'm ecstatic that Apple is smart enough to turn it off by default. But I agree that people who have been trained to use this horrible feature ought to have it as an option. But I'm hoping Apple provides the option of focus-follows-mouse for Mac OS X first.

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account - if you've just added an address then it will be an alternate/secondary email address, which is a different setting/address on your account (a rescue email address can only be added by answering 2 of your questions).
You will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I'm sorry that you weren't able to reset your security questions. I know it must be frustrating not being able to remember the answers, and I will certainly get you to the correct team to help.
For security reasons, you'll need to contact our Account Security team.
You can speak to an Account Security Advisor by calling our AppleCare technical support team. To find the right phone number for your country, see this article:

When you call, ask to speak to the Account Security team.
They will need to verify two of the following: Device serial number( if one is set up with your account information), one security question answer, and/ or a credit card number you have on file.

I see that you do not have credit card information on your account, you can add this by :
1) Make sure you are using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple website:

2) Verify that you have an active network connection and open iTunes.
3) From the Store pull-down menu at the top, select Sign In.
4) Enter your account name and password then click Sign In.
5) From the Store menu, select View My Account.
6) Enter your account name and password again, then click View My Account.
7) On your Apple Account Information page, click Edit Payment Information. Here you can add your card.
You may remove this after speaking to the Account Security team, and verifying your account with them.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

You'd think I'm going to ask for a link on how to reset my security questions.. well, no. It's not that simple. I know how to reset these security questions and I've apparently been "Sent" the email on instructions to reset my security questions. But here's the twist - they never get sent. I've clicked the link on resetting 11 times (give or take a few) and it has said every time "Email sent, instructions on how to reset your security questions are included" or something. I've checked my inbox, my trash, my spam, and I've even changed the email on my Apple ID and tried sending it there, but nothing has happened either. I have $15 on my account that's blocked and I want to spend it. Help, please.

If you don't have a rescue email address set, then you're SoL.
If you do, then reset your info and check in there.
If not, you'll have to contact iTS, and wait for God knows how long for Apple to complete its pending investigation in this SNAFU.

answer the security question.... if you answer correctly then you should be straight and go to your profile. Im having the same issue but the thing is i set up my security questions so long ago, i dont remember my answers.... The answers that i know are correct do not match what i gave them when i signed up an account. Difference between then and now is that I am sober now and wasnt then. I just would like to know... the capacity bar in iTunes for my iPod shows audio in blue and video in purple. The capacity bar for my Apple TV shows audio in purple and video in blue.
It's so unlike Apple to be inconsistent like this, so I'll assume it was intentional. So my question is, "Why?"

I would like to see a tear-apart also. The CD drive slot looks to be lower as well.

Imac as a remote for apple tv sync'ed audio

Hey guys,
Ive got a setup that i'm looking to maximise. the setup i'm running is an apple tv gen1/itunes with some audio sync'ed to the HDD on the apple tv. I know the 'remote' app for my iphone lets me control playback, but was wondering if in app existed to use my imac as a remote. The reason i dont want to use airplay is that some of the lossless files that are streamed to the apple tv get cut during playback.

due to the file size that lossless files are, combined with an overused wifi network, sometimes playback is choppy.
looking into maybe going a wired route through the optical out of my imac to a DAC to my amp....
