Question for getting iPhone replaced

I have a question for those who had to replace their iPhone with a 2nd or 3rd iPhone under warranty due to problems.
How did you go about taking care of this? I have an Apple Retail store just a few miles from me. Do I go there or do I need to call Apple Care first?
I am having problems with my iPhone. Yes I have all the latest updates, etc.

I'm sure they don't deny walk-ins..but to ensure that you get the attention you need. It's recommended that you do. Believe me, I walk into my Apple Stores..(I have 2 less than 3 miles from me)..and you wouldn't believe the customers there with their iPhones asking questions about this and that...! I mean they're all not "technical questions" either. Anything from BT to what case is better, etc.
So, if you want their undivided attention.. I'd make the appointment.

Am I still eligible for an iPhone replacement..?

I've had this phone for around 2 years? Anyways, I was just wondering if I could still be eligible for an iPhone replacement and I did purchase the Apple Care which expires in April 2013. The reason why I'm asking is because during the summer of 2012 I had to replace my iPhone due to a microphone issue and I did get a new one.
However, the SAME exact problem is occuring again (Jan 17. 2013) and since my Apple Care hasn't expired yet.. am I still eligible for a second iPhone 4 replacement without any charge?

Due o he device bein out of warranty it is not eligible for a free replacement. It is eligible for an Out of Warranty Replacement at the normal cost, $149 for the iPhone 4 and older models, $199 for the 4S.

Apple is giving me a new iphone because my sleep/wake button is broken, however i do not have the original charger, will i still be able to get it replaced?

Question about getting Iphone 4

Tomorrow my wife was going to go down and try to get us the new Iphone 4's. I'm not sure if the account is under just my name or not. If it is it's only because I was the one that picked up the phones last year. All our cards, bank accounts are shared. Is she going to be ok picking the phones up for our account of course if were lucky to get them? I only ask because I've seen posts were kids ask if they can pick it up on there parents account. You need to authorize her on the account. It can probably be done over the phone. Once she is an authorized user, she can buy/exchange phones, make changes and so on.
I got this info from my local AT&T store. I'm in a similar situation: my husband is out of state for work and I'll be dealing with the iphone swap @ AT&T; he will even mail me his phone so I can return it when we get the new ones.

Check your webmail for your Yahoo account and see if the folders still exist on Yahoo's server. If they do, try deleting the account on your phone and recreating it.

Basic Questions for Getting Started

I want to make a DVD with a menu that will link to video files that will not be compressed at DVD SD size 720 x 480 (I think that is the right size for DVD?) Instead, I need to make the window size of the videos smaller so I can fit as many as possible on a single-layer disc.
1. Will there be any issues with linking to video files that are not full screen, whether it is played in a computer DVD or a home one?
2. What is the best format for bringing video in from FCP for doing this? I am guessing that since DVD SP compresses as MPG-2, I should bring the video in a non-compressed format so it does not get double compressed.
3. Does anyone have any recommendations for a smaller window size that displays well on screen? 400 by something???

I can only suggest that you try it and see, or ask on the Final Cut Pro discussion forum and someone there will know.

Yes. You should bring it into DVD SP as a QT file (.mov) which you export from Final Cut, presumably using the option "using QT Compression" which I think gives options for size. However, I have never had luck when using the QT compression option. There may be other utilities which can reduce the size of a QT movie.
I suppose that you know to use Compressor to make a more efficient compression than the one built in to DVD SP, and to use APack (or whatever it is called in DVD SP 4) to compress sound - that saves a lot of disc space.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to get information from multiple lists once a user was selected.
There is no out of the box way to accomplish this with SharePoint.
As a workaround, I recommend to create a list to store the user names. Then you can create relationships between lists using the browser UI. Once you select the user name in the parent list, the associated items will be displayed in the child lists.

Interesting question for original iPhone owners

I was looking at the back of my device today while it was out of the case (more then usual) and when looking at the two lines of text (below the word "iPhone" but above the memory size icon...in my case mine says "8GB" with a square around it, if you look at the two lines really closely it looks like the lines of text are not straight (more on the right part of the two lines verses the left part of the two lines.
When I turn the phone sideways looking at the text, then it pretty much looks aligned. I'm wondering if what I'm seeing is just an optical illusion when looking at it right side up or are the two lines really not imprinted on the device in a straight line?
Intersted to hear other owners in their findings. It's kinda bugging me now so I wanted to ask other people if they see the same thing as I do.

Are you referring to the second line, beginning roughly with the IMEI number? Using a Schaedler Precision rule, magnification glasses, and a lot of squinting under a halogen lamp, it appears the capital letter height of IMEI is approx. 1/64th of an inch taller than the capital letters ~ FCC ID ~ on the far left of that line. 1/64th is the smallest unit on this ruler. The IMEI on my phone is aligned on the upper portions of the FCC letters, but not along the IMEI baseline of that second line. It's optically insignificant to me, especially since it's on the back and in a case. Hope this helps.

The developers of WhatsApp no longer support the iPhone 3G. It is what it is. If you want to use that app, you'll have to upgrade your phone.

Simple question for getting a wifi connection for Graphite Ibook..

I have a Graphite 466mghz Ibook with a airport card. My home computers are on a highspeed cable modem and then through a router to; one windows pc and one mac G4. I want my laptop to be wireless in my home and still leave my home system in it's current setup with both accessing the net. Any help would be appreciated... I am assuming that your current router is not wireless, so that you would need either a wireless router or access point to allow your iBook to connect wirelessly.
One option would be to acquire a Wireless Access Point (WAP), like the Linksys WAP54G. With this option, you would just need to connect the WAP directly, using an Ethernet cable, to your existing router, and the WAP will provide wireless connectivity to your local network.

Hello, I have been having issues with my iPhone 5C for about a month now. I have unlimited everything, including data, & so randomly, starting about 2 weeks ago, my data basically does not work for any apps, besides like iMessage & Safari. So like if I have full LTE signal, I can try to open the Instagram app, and it will tell me "no internet connection", & it tells me that with ANY app, besides iMessage & Safari. Which is super frustrating, especially when I try to use like Maps or something & it jut does not load, & tells me that "there is not an internet connection", so I have to use apps & stuff only on wifi, in order for them to work. I went to the Sprint store, and had them try and update the data profile, reset data network, soft reset, etc (they basically did everything that I did), & they could NOT figure out what was wrong with my phone. So, they looked into my warranty information, and told me to take my phone to the Apple Store, and just get a replacement & that it would cost me only $50, since it is still covered under warranty. I am not up for an upgrade until April of 2016, & as far as I know, when it comes to replacements, Apple will either give me a new/refurbished iPhone 5C as a replacement. I don't really mind having to pay a little extra if I have to, in order to get a 5S , & I also don't care if the 5S would be either new or refurbished. So, my question is, could I maybe get a 5S as a replacement, instead of another 5C?
