Question for incident manager notification (OEM 12c)

If an incident manager's owner is changed. Can the notification sent to the old owner and new owner?
I can setup a rule on "Incident update", but the notification only sent to the new owner. Is it possible to notify both the new and old owner?

    Hi All,
    It is mentioned in the Oracle Documents that Exception Management is a part of Business Transaction Management feature which can ne achieved by enabling SOA management pack EE on the target which in turn provides transaction alerting and searching to locate exceptions and errors in transactions that span multiple application components.
    But then can any one please tell me how can I achieve this? That means what all configuration (other than soa management packEE) is required for this exception management and how can I do this OEM . I am not able to find a good document which explain the exception management in OEM 12c cloud control.

    Business transaction Management 12c (BTM)is licensed with SOA Manangement pack Enterprise Edition along with WLS Mgmt Pack and management pack for non-oracle middleware. So, if you have SOA Mgmt Pack EE, then you are already licensed for BTM 12c.
    You need to download BTM12c (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/oem/downloads/btw-downloads-207704.html) and then you need to install it (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/install.121/e37016/toc.htm) . Once the installation is complete, you will need to send traffic through your managed targets, where you would have already deployed the BTM observers (Ref. installation guide). Once traffic will be sent, your services will get discovered and then you will need to create transactions (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e37014/transactions.htm#sthref186) that you may wanna monitor. As part of the transaction creation, you can enable logging on the transaction and once that's done, you will be able to search and manage exceptions by monitoring your transactions.

  • SCSM - SCOM Integration for Incident Management Automation(Auto-ticketing)

    I have been doing lot of research on integrating SCSM and SCOM for Incident Management Automation(Auto-ticketing). I did configurations in SCSM, SCOM and it worked pretty well! :) However, I need some clarifications on Incident Priority calculations. 
    Environment - SCSM 2012 R2, SCOM 2012 R2
    Objective - To automate Incident Management for Each Service, I have picked Lync 2013 for Pilot testing.
    - Created SCOM Alert Connector action account
    - Created 3 SCSM incident templates for Incident Priority calculations (P1, P2 and P3)
       - Lync P1 Incidents (Impact - High, Urgency - High)
       - Lync P2 Incidents (Impact - High, Urgency - Medium)
       - Lync P3 Incidents (Impact - Medium, Urgency - Medium)
    - Attached is our incident priority settings in SCSM.
    - Created SCOM Alert Connector. In Alert Routing rules, I have picked couple of Lync classes (LS Registrar, LS Response Group, LS Data Conferencing, LS Centralized Logging Agent etc). (I don't want to target whole Lync MP as of now. Once the priority classification
    is successful, I can target alerts from whole Lync MP.) While adding routing rules, I have selected the specific template for a specific class. For ex- LS Registrars class, P2 Incident template. Alerts that do not fit the routing criteria would pick up P3
    template as default. Both check boxes "Close alerts in Ops Mgr when Incidents are resolved or closed" and "Resolve Incidents automatically when the alerts in Ops Mgr are closed" are checked.
    - In SCOM internal connector subscription, I have targeted all Lync Servers group and selected ONLY specific Lync classes (In approve targets) that I used in routing rules. Enabled "Error, Warning" and "High, Medium" check boxes in alert
    criteria
    Now, the incidents are getting generated, but with wrong priority calculations. I may be wrong in configuring routing rules. Is there any best way to configure routing rules for different priorities? If I remove all routing rules for specific classes and target
    entire Lync MP, how to configure the Incident Templates which I created for different priorities?
    Any help is much appreciated.

    In Screenshot, it was a typo error in Rule Name, should have been Lync P3(Stupid error from my side!) Is it a correct of targeting individual classes in routing rules? Because, Any class may contain lot of rules/monitors in it. And if we choose P2 incident
    template for one class, all alerts triggered out of this class would create P2 incidents. Is my understanding correct? Moreover, this just pilot testing of Lync MP and we have identified only few classes which are responsible for generating TOP 10 alerts for
    last month. Going forward, we would like to configure the whole MP in routing rule. Then, how should I configure routing rules for 3 different priorities? Can you also confirm Incident Priority calculation is done via SCSM templates or SCOM alert priority

    I am a BW Consultant & got the requirement to develop the Incident Management Reports.
    we have SAP standard Extractors for Incident Management to load the Data.
    I want to know
    1. I need to reconcile my bw report, what are the T.codes for Incident Management,
    2. is EHSM is web based / SAP GUI based, if web based...how to login.
    3. I have access to ECC where the EHSM is instaled, but I am very new & dont have Idea to login.
    Please help me in this...since I dont have any functional consultant here.

    First you will have to ensure you have EHSM roles asssigned to you(i.e SAP_EHSM_MASTER or customized role of it)
    Second :once you login select Health and Safety->Overview where you would be able to see incident and incident reports ; also you can select analytical reports to viewing BI data

    can I install Oracle VM Template for Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c Media Pack ?
    Is it the wrong plan ?
    What to do if I need to set VLAN №1 ? (according note of installer I have to choose number between 2 and 4094 )

    Yes, you can install Oracle VM Manager, create a server pool with the one parent Oracle VM server in it, and then deploy the Oracle VM template in the pool. Once EM VM is up and running, you can register the same Oracle VM Manager with EM, to manage the pool.
    In general, it is not recommended that you use the OVM server backend directly. But for bootstrapping the EM environment, you can also try the following:
    Download the OVM Template on the Oracle VM server. From the OVM server terminal itself you can do "xm create" to spin a new virtual machine using the Oracle VM teamplate. Once the VM comes up, VNC into the VM and configure the EM OMS and agent.

    I have two questions that I need to ask in relation to Incident Management SOLMAN 7.1:
    1) Can Business Partner (BP) master data be mass updated via a catt script? (recording of transaction BP)
    2) What BP roles can I use if i need to capture profit center, cost center and department info for each BP and to be able to display those info from Incident Management (CRM Web UI)?

    Just FYI, i need to create/change approx. 25,000 Business Partners in SOLMAN 7.1 by 1)creating system users in SOLMAN and 2) execute report AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN to generate/update BP IDs accordingly.
    My question was, lets say if i needed to enter profit center, cost center and division info into each BP. In what BP role and fields, besides the standard BUP001 (Contact Person) & BUP003 (Employee), that I can use to enter those type of information?
    For example, profit center - 88KUL186; cost center - 88KUL186; division - KLIA.

    You should open an SR and support can assist you with it. The only current case where that feature is known to not work is in the case where the Dehydration Store is running on RAC. Otherwise, it should be possible to get it to work. The main thing is that you need to have DB configuration properties (host, port, sid) that have a 3-way string match between the JDBC data source configuration in the WLS server, the JDBC properties you add to the Monitoring Properties of the SOA Infrastructure target, and the connect settings of the Database target in EM that matches to the dehydration DB.
    If there isn't a match in all 3, the Dehydration Diagnostics page will not work. But again, to look into your specific setup, you should file an SR and work with support.

    Is it possible within Solution Manager to have different mailboxes for different monitored systems.
    We like to send the alert notifications for the DEV en QAS to 1 mailbox and the alerts for the PRD to another mailbox.
    It looks like that I only can set a mailbox for all monitored systems.
    Has anybody an idee?

    Hi Van,
    What is exactly you are referring as mail box?  you referring mail groups distribution list?
    You can have different monitor groups for even individual alert level in technical monitoring too,

    in your case, if you create different template for dev and prd, you can assign different mail recipient lists.
    Please check and update.

    First of all is there any way to not implement Solution manager but to still be able to patch the system.?
    i really need it only for this.
    If there is no way to avoid the solution manager, tell me is the saprouter the only way for connection to SAP for the patches download. I don't need anything else for now.
    IS there a way to use a direct connection to SAP,?
    do the sAP router has to have 2 NICs where one is the public and one the private IP?

    you do not need Solution Manager to patch the systems but you need Solution Manager to approve download basket for downloading pacthes.

  • Creating Installation Media component for Database Provisioning in OEM 12c

    When creating installation media to use in a database provisioning procedure, do I have to unzip and rezip Disk 1 and 2 before I load them into OEM?  I mean can't I just upload the zip files and tell OEM which is the "Main File" via the drop down box in the "Specify Source" section of the "Select Files" tab of the software library entity page?

  • Scheduling question for Config Manager Software updates (Patching)

    Hi,
    With the normal WSUS process, we were able to set the time the system would start installing the update.
    What is the equivalent of this in Config Manager 2012 sp1?  
    Is the installation deadline time, when the software is installed or is it when its made available?
    How do we force it to do the update between 6-7am?  
    Would we set the available time to 6am and installation deadline to 7am?

    If you use maintenance window, you'd have to look at the logs to see why it did not deploy during the maintenance window. If the client failed to download the policies before or during the maintenance window.
    Servicewindowmanager.log tells you when it detects windows and what's available.
    Updatesdeployment.log shoudl tell you when updates are deployed, if they are.

    You need to adopt the Mobile strategy for ITSM to use this. Broadly speaking, the ITSM apps can be accessible either via internet or intranet. If you plan to use the apps outside your company network then you would need Sybase tools to enable this as shown below;
