Question for Karl, Lennart, Dan or any other expert?

I have recently completed an iMovie 5.02 project which consist of scanned stills, slides and VHS video clips that were converted to digital through my Sony TRV 27 camcorder set on 16 bit. The stills and slides were imported into iPhoto, cropped 4:3, enhanced and saved. I then imported them into iMovie from that folder. I chose not to use too many transitions. The movie’s file is 28.06 GB and has a run time of approximately 1 hour 18 minutes. My computer is a G4 733 mh using 10.3.9 and quicktime 6.5.2. It has 512 ram. It has two 60 gig internal drives with 6.89 gig available on the main drive and 15.56 available on the slave internal drive. I also have an external IOMEGA 250 gig with 183.8 gig available. The entire movie project is on the external drive which does not have an operating system on it. Both of the other drives have 10.3.9. I have kept all of the drives maintained and repair permissions quite often. The movie project is very good quality. I am thrilled with the clarity of the stills, slides, etc.
My problem is that when I burn the final DVD it contains spots where it pauses, and on some players it will revert back to the theme beginning. I am using Verbatium printable DVD disk that I purchased at Sam’s Club. These blanks are advertised to be compatible with speeds up to 16X. The friend that I am doing this for needs 11 copies. When I completed all of these, only five of them would play all the way through without pausing or stopping and reverting back to the beginning. The inconsistency has me puzzled. What suggestions would you have? Thanks so much for your help.

of them. Two of them are one year old, and the other
is about three years old.
Then, as Matt said, I'd be suspicious of the DVD media too.
You didn't say how you burned the 11 copies. That may be important.
To rule out problems with the media, here's what I'd try.
1. Export the iMovie project to a Full Quality DV movie.
2. Import that movie to iDVD. (You'll lose chapters. To preserve chapters, use QuickTime Pro to do a Save As of the reference movie iMovie stores in the Shared folder of the project. Save as a standalone movie. There's a folder for iDVD inside the Shared Folder.)
3. Use iDVD to burn to a disk image instead of burning to a physical DVD.
4. Use Disk Utility to burn that disk image to a DVD. If that plays okay in all DVD players, we know this method works on at least one (good) DVD.
5. Burn additional DVDs and test as made. If they show problems, it's this media that's the problem. They are inconsistent.
6. After you get new media, burn again with Disk Utility. If they work okay, that suggests again it was a media problem and the new media is okay.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

No XMP fields for columns in Bridge? Any other programs?

I'd like to use bridge to explore a folder, but need to sort using XMP fields (ie, creator, description, and date created from xmp). Is there any way for these items to be added as column headings in the Bridge Metadata View (using the list view)?
It seems there isn't. In which case, does anyone know of any programs that allow XMP fields to be used as column headings. I've looked at explorer++ and Directory Opus, but neither seems to allow XMP (or indeed IPTC) values to be used. And, of couse, Windows Explorer and the Windows OS does not allow these fields.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like the sensor is bad. Just a thought. I'm sure that Draegonis's 111c has to be wrong or the PCU would have failed by now.

Question about the EXSP24 sampler (or any other samples) bundled with Logic

Are there any Clarinet samples in Logic?
Are there any French Horn samples in Logic as well?
I'm not looking for loops, just samples (like the ones for trumpet, tenor sax etc.)
If not, how would I find these and place them in the application so I could use them in Logic Express.

I think you probably mean the Garageband instruments that you use with Logic - I'm not sure if Clarinet and French Horn come with Garageband so if they aren't there you'd need to buy the appropriate Apple Jam Pack or get something similar elsewhere (Google 'Orchestral samples' for some free ones) - the Jam Packs are pretty good quality sounds on the whole and good value for money.
If you want something better quality you'd need to be looking at something like the Mirosalav Vitous sets which are very pricy but you can get brilliant results from them with a bit of effort.

It's my first time writing here and i hope i can get some help ... i have created a payroll system using java and jsp techniques and mysql as the database, i want to create a backup page that will let the use to choose the destination folder for the back up, the backup is basically a mysqldump command that will get the destination folder as an argument and create the sql file there. the problem is i couldn't find anyway to let the user browse his local machine and choose the folder , which in returns return the folder path to be used in mysqldump....
I know that html have <input type=file> but it's used for selecting file not folder...
can someone come up with a solution for me coz it's urgent and i have to finish the project by the end of this week.,.

TS3432 It doesn't show the icon anymore for repeat and regular! Any other suggestion?

Lightroom CC crashes on startup and "sign out, sign in" solution doesn't work, any other solutions?

I downloaded LR CC on myMacbookpro and iMac.
LR5 was installed on both of them previously.
After installing, LR CC works fine onM Pro, but keeps crashing on iMac.
I've tried the "sign out, sign in" solution, but never works for me.
Is there any other solution I can try?
Since the update, I've edited photos on my 13' M pro instead of 27' iMac and it is getting annoying...

hello, there's a general regression in firefox 27 that won't allow files to download directly into a root drive. please try to create a subfolder (like ''E:\Downloads'') and set this as default location for downloads...
