Question for Printing - Local Administrators can See all printers but ordinary users and additional administrators cannot

Hello, this is urgent. This is the setting, Using Citrixx XenApp, branch users will print into the head office. The built-in admin can see all printer sessions in head office and branch but ordinary users and additional administrators cannot.
Even though, I'll put the users in the group Administrators,still, they cannot see all the printers, they can just see their own. But, I need to see ALL.
Please help me. Thanks.

Please understand that this forum is used for the discussion about issues related Windows 7 operating system usage, any 3rd-party software usage issue would not be supported here.
The curent situation is when you are using Citrixx XenApp for the printing task, please seek help at their official website support forum.
Meanwhile, if we are in a domain environment, please take a look at the group policies settings, which might be the cause of the issue you encountered.
Besides, take a look at the following path:
Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers
See if the printers would be listed there.

Windows machine on local network can see all volumes mounted on my MBP

I have a Macbook Pro running 10.6.4 with 4 volumes mounted (Macintosh HD, Scratch Drive, Files, & Media). On this same network I have a Windows 7 machine. I just noticed today that in the Windows File Explorer I can see all 4 of the volumes that I have mounted on my Mac. Not only can I see the volumes, I can drill down into folders on my Mac, open files, and even make changes to and save those files.
I've checked all the Sharing options on my Mac and everything is turned off and my firewall is turned on. I know that in the past I wasn't able to see these volumes from the Windows machine. I recently upgraded to 10.6.4 but don't know if that has anything to do with this as I rarely do anything with that Windows machine so I'm not really sure when this started.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

then
go to the options ------------->
and See if SMB sharing on or not .
this is the only place which is sharing with windows .......

The computer that I first used to download iTunes, to buy songs and to sync my iPod Nano to iTunes is no more. I have a new computer that I inadvertently set my wife up on. When I sign in, while I can see all my music in the iTunes library, when I tried to 'sync', I have lost all my music in my iPod and I now have my wife's library on there instead.
I subscribed to iTunes Match, thinking that this would help. It hasn't and I'm not happy!
I have arranged to take my iPod into an Apple store next Tuesday but isn't there something you can tel me to do that ties my iPod wth my music and leaves my wife's music for her iPod? Please help, I am so frustrated and have wasted so much time on this, reinstalling iTunes, restoring my iPod....

My Epson XP-710 Series, printer/scanner: I can see the drivers but not the software - where is it?

Just bought the above. When I read the instructions, it tells me to go to Applications, and click on the software. All I have in Applications is the driver. I cannot see what Epson says I should have, ie, colourful screens to use. I downloaded the drivers from Apple, as Epson was !!!!! Any ideas anyone? Trying to scan an application form to see if I can fill-in as opposed to using my pen. I can't even find out if I can do this. Help.

I am now losing my sanity over this darned machine. I have now done as follows: 'EPSONPrintDriver2.18.dmg' for OS X Mavericks was downloaded from Apple. I clicked on this in Downloads & then this led to 'EPSONPrinterDrivers.pkg' opening, which led on to installing the Epson Printer Software. Apparently as per Epson and Apple I should not be having such a hard time. Yes sure! I gave up on the disc that came with the printer; Apple does say this though. I did as described but to be honest printing and scanning does not have the look of WOW. It all looks grey/brown and drab. Epson web makes it look so wonderful and easy. I may not have needed to download the 2 as described; any ideas? Maybe just one would suffice?
Re: image capture. I though this was from Epson, but apparently it is from Apple. I use this icon to access scanning, but it is so laborious. It takes a while after clicking the Epson icon within it, for scanning to start. If this is the Apple option, can't I use the Epson option (if there is one). I can go into Printers and Scanners in my mbp and I see the same. Is image capture the same as scanning via Printers and Scanners? So many Qs; sorry.
Any idea how I can print in draft? This comes in handy sometimes, but when I do see the slider which looks likes I can move said slider, it won't ever slide to draft, no matter what type of paper I chose, eg, photo, plain paper etc. Any ideas? The opportunity exists with the slider, but it won't stay on drafts. Thanks in anticipation of any further advice. Helen

Iphoto : can see all thumbnails but not full size

I imported about 1000 photos into ipod and I can see the thumbnails just fine. But, when I double click on any thumbnail, all I see is a big white empty box with a ? inside. Please help!

Give this a try: download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, substituting your account name for mine. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.

Hi, well I did get a black screen with (!) In a triangle, but now I have tried to repair the library and all the other options rebuild etc and now I can't even see the thumbnails they are black also. So guess what ever the problem was I made it worse....:)

My Pages has locked up. I can see my documents but nothing will open. I cannot open a new document either. Any ideas?

I have used my Pages software for years. All of a sudden, I cannot open anything. It shows my documents on the "open" tab but then in will not open them. Also, when I try and create a new document, I get the error message stating that "Starting point 'blank.template' couldn't be found. It was moved or deleted." So I'm thinking my whole Pages application has been deleted somehow. Is there a way to re-install it without repurchasing it? Help!

Where and how did you buy it? As a DVD from a store, a download from Apple or from the Mac App Store?
If you got it from the Mac App Store, just delete it and (re)install it from the Purchases section.
If you received a DVD when you bought it you just need to delete it, reinstall it and update it.
The best way to completely remove iWork from your Mac is to use Yvan Koenig's AppleScript:
Go to https://public.me.com/koenigyvan
Choose For iWork > iWork '09 > Uninstall iWork '09.zip
Download Uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button

I have not idea how you do it with Picasa but with iPhoto you either export the photos to a desktop folder and upload from there or burns that folder to CD - or from the upload window use the media browser in the lower left hand corner of the upload windows - media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

Thanks Barney, I tried that but all that comes up in Spotlight are the log files that show the file paths! I don't know how Steam works. Are all the files held by Steam on their server perhaps?

User can see all resources, not only Permitted for his/her Organization

I have set three self-serviceable resources as Permitted Resources for a specific organization. So if I click on Permitted Resources for that organization I can see only those three...
When an user of that organization clicks on Request New Resources, all self-serviceable resources are listed to the user, not only the Permitted Resources. I thought the user could see only the permitted resources...
If I log as sys admin and Request Resources for an user of this organization, I can see only the three permitted resources.

Sorry, but I do not understand your last reply. You mentioned the following:
for option B, even when option A is unchecked, you can set self-request only for a specific organization when assign permitted resources.
Isnt this what you wanted? You should set the resource as permitted resources in all the organizations whose users can request that resource. I have implemented this and it works just fine. It works for both types of requests. a) My resources -> request new resources and b) Requests -> Resources -> Grant resources.
In case of b, depending on the organization to which the selected user belongs, the Resource is displayed. all resources are not displayed.
So the solution is to uncheck in RO and put the resource under specific organizations permitted resources and make it self-requestable. It should work fine. Let me know your exact issue if it does not work this way.

That is expected behavior.
You can see the all addresses of account in the list as long as the purpose condition is satisfied. Linking is only for defaulting and not for controlling. If you do not want to see you can create a different account for the B address.
