Hi, experts. Today i have one question
i'm trying to make the widget by using Adbe(air)..and i can make it!
However, I wonder if i can use the SAP BW conncection .
if so, what am I supposed to do ??
I'm strugring and trouble with making the widget having SAP BW connection.
Every answer you give might be helpful.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Welcome to the Apple community.
You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go tomanage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices)

Questions for Opinions and Ideas.

I have a couple of questions for a few of you to respond.
1) What is the best site for keeping up to date on Java?
2) What is the best site for keeping up to date on technology?
3) What is the best site for news and events in general?
Search questions
1) I have been noticing that when I search on google I seem to get hits that are 3 or more years old? Has the internet become lack luster?
2) Is open source just another way for corporate to give away technology to another country and then outsource to them on pretense that they cannot find anything in the US?
3) Should all open source licenses be for American companies only?

enron or mci or delphi or maybe the 100's of other
companies that were backdating options or reporting
wrong results. You must also be one who is for
illegal immigrants? I can get more benefits being an
illegal immigrant than I can being an unemployed
white male (never been unemployed until now). I was
one of 3000 that got laid off due to outsourcing.
(company will remain anonymous) Their explanation
was, "They could not get enough technical resources
here in the US, so they were contracting to an
outsourcing company for the services". And so they likely lied. The predominate reason for outsourcing is that the company thinks that they can save money.
Very large companies often can "save" money because...
1. They have absolutely no process control and fail to deliver anything useful with the existing staff anyways. So they save money because it costs less to deliver nothing. (One large company I was aware of one time had a software development department which hadn't delivered anything in 18 months.)
2. They do have stringent process control and thus can deliver actual requirements that means something to the outsourced firm. Given their careful process control they are likely to have found an outsource company that can actually deliver what they promised. This sort of company is very rare.
Smaller companies will never succeed at this unless they have stringent process control as well. And failure here means that the company will be unlikely to survive.
Most companies that think they have process control do not in fact have it. Even with written requirements and written designs the actual product is often built via word of mouth requirements and products don't resemble the designs at all.
Presumably you can judge where your company fits into the above.
Before you
dismiss someone else make sure you think about the
question and why someone would ask. I wish I could
laugh with you.I worked at a company where they laid off 5% of the work force a week before they announced record profits. It had nothing to do with outsourcing.
I have been laid off from several places simply because they weren't making money. In several cases they never made any money. Nothing to do with outsourcing.
One company even had one of those money making ventures in place that involved phony offshore corporations doing phony sales. One of the owners of the company set that up. That had nothing to do with outsourcing either.
In all cases being a competent professional it took me very little time to find another job.

Software update question for iTunes and Safari

Preface -
I only use the software update in the Apple to check for new software, then download it manually and install it following all the directions so carefully specified here by many of you good folks.
So, first some the rhetorical questions - How much does SU check? Does it look at other Apple apps running at the same time? Does it check OS (it must!)? Does it look to see if what it suggests needs to be updated is compatible with what is there?)
Background information -
I have Safari 3.2.3. Since Safari doesn't work for me and I never use it, I have not updated it. Several of you told me not to bother updating Safari since v4x probably wouldn't work if 3 doesn't (what doesn't work is I can't quit without force quitting and there appears to be no fix).
The latest SU tells me new versions of iTunes - 9.0.3 - and Safari - 4.0.4 - are available. I am running iTunes 7.7. According to the download page, iTunes 9 has to have Safari 4.
The questions -
So, why does SU tell me updates for iT and Safari are available without specifying that I MUST do both updates and do them so that Safari 4 is in place before I update iTunes (or iTunes will die?) Note - I never visit the iTunes store; I just use iTunes to transfer to my iPod my own CDs which I've copied onto the computer in lossless.
Since, I never use Safari anyway, will it cause any difficulty if I DO do the update to 4 and just let it sit in a folder unused as 3.2.3 sits there doing nothing? OR does iTunes USE Safari to access the library of CD track info when it makes suggestions for labeling tracks on CDs I've downloaded to my library?
I hope this makes sense, I fear I am rambling on here...

First of all, thank you for tackling my issue with Safari. I have to begin by saying it was intermittent, but Mr H and I have just stopped using Safari. I just tried it and it was fine - but I don't know how long that will last.
And, by the way, we have the same issue occasionally for all three of our Tiger Macs - I have reinstalled OS, done the combo reinstall - OS plus Safari (I believe that's the term - combo?; it's been a while and I can't remember exactly what I was instructed here to do - but I did it).

Klaus1 was ever so patient and the final advice, I believe, was - just don't use Safari. It was a memory hog - using what looked like even more than 100% of memory - which made no sense - and it just wouldn't allow me to quit without force quitting. Everything else works just fine...or so it seems to me and has done so for ages (except that we've been gone for several months so I can't count that...)
Do you suggest doing this first?

Possibly in the /Home/Library/Safari/ folder or a problem with the /Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist file or /Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/ folder. Start by deleting the latter two.
Should someone move this discussion over to Safari?

Adobe design question for barcodes and including PDFs

Hi all,
I am new to using Adobe LC ES 8.2. I have been reading this forum and it has been very helpful. We have certainrigid requirements for our application that is making it difficult to come up with a clean solution. I am hoping this forum will be able to answer some of my questions:
Use case: Our application needs to mail correspondence to users (printed PDFs not fillable forms). We plan to use Adobe LC ES Designer to design all the forms and Assembler Service to assemble the documents together. The plan is to merge the templates with XML business data dynamically and then assemble them. When the documents are assembled together, documents to be assembled include Cover Pages Templates, Notice Templates, Attachments (could be templates or static PDFs) and decisions that will be converted into PDF from an RTF document using Adobe Professional 8. The user creates the document in RTF and convert it into PDF using Adobe Acrobat Professional and store it for assembly process. Our Print Shop requires the entire assembled mailing to have bar codes on each of the pages with the following information:
1 D 3of9 barcode - JOB ID (can be sent dynamically) + PIECE ID (number of mailing) + SHEET ID (page number with in the PIECE ID - front and back of the page get the same number)
Following are the questions we have:
1. What ways are available to apply the bar code to the assembled document as one piece of information in the bar code is the SHEET ID for the entire mailing? I would know the total number of pages only after assembly.
2. If there is a way to manipulate the barcode information after assembly, I am not sure how we can handle bar coding the Decision PDFs that will be converted from RTF using Adobe Professional 8.

Thank you. So, using Form Services we can manipulate the document (barcode object) after assembly.This is great.I will look into this. When we spoke to Adobe, they wanted us to complete all merge prior to assembly and said we cannot manipulate the document after assembly.
How would I handle a barcode for a PDF that has been converted into PDF from a RTF document? My concern is that even if the RTF has a barcode, will it be a format that can be manipulated after it is converted into PDF by the user and submitted to the assembly process?
One of my ideas is to maybe convert this PDF into images and include it in the XML data as base64 images and merge it with an Adobe Form template having image fields. This is not a clean approach and I am very concerned about performance issues with the size of the data XML.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time Firefox starts.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor (right-click: Open with) if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time Firefox is started and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Coverting question for Ipod and Quicktime

I edited a movie to wmv (im using a pc). Then transfered it to mpeg1 thinking i can play it on the ipod. Didn't work so that I converted the mpeg1 to mpg4 and the format to play on the ipod, for some reason, quicktime converted the file with no sound, and it's doing it over and over again. How can I go about playing my movie on the ipod?

Search these forums and you will get a clear answer to your questions. This has already been asked many times here. THe general answer has been no there is no way of streaming music from the ipod touch to the airport all by itself. THe ipod touch can receive wifi from the airport and then allow you to surf the internet on the safari app from the ipod touch.

Scrub question for dreamweaver and flash

It has been forever since I have used Dreamweaver. I pretty much stick to print design with the exception of my own stuff, and my last few sites have all been done 100% in Flash. So I am in the process of putting together my new site in dreamweaver and have gone through a few hours worth of tutorials so think I am well on my way to getting something up.
My plan is to have a flash header that I am hoping can stay the same throughout the site. In other words, I dont want it to reload each time it goes to a new page, just keep playing. Is there a way for me to easily accomplish this? I am assuming this would be on the DW side, but if need be I can post on the Flash forums.
Now the one other thing, if its something that can be done but is a total nightmare to deal, or just too far out of my league since I havent used DW any time recently just let me know and I will come up with a new plan.

Thanks for the feedback. I knew going into those last sites what limitations flash brings to the table. Beleive it or not those two didn't really play into my thought process at all. I get very little traffic, most of it from people actually typing in the web address or linking to it from after I email it to them. It does on the other hand let me do some really creative stuff like a drag and drop resume that was modeled after a pantone book. Anyways, the big thing thing that is pushing me to go the the other direction at this point is mobile devices. Just driving me up the wall that I cant see my site on my iphone.
As far as the current project goes, thanks again. I think I will just skip the flash at this point, and I have already been thinking about a back up plan. No point in trying to figure out how to do something that is already dated.
Now for question two. I have a client that I do print work for that has a similar issue. He has a "music player" on his site that has a similar problem. Any time someone changes pages the song stops, and when the new page loads so does a new song. No idea what sort of technology/ program/ addons were used for this, but it drives me nuts anytime I go to his site. Would it be a similar process for the music player to conitinue pllaying? Meaning the frames? Would just like to be able to point him in the right direction so he can tell his web guy.
