i am basically a closed small offset printing company...in 2006 or so i bought CS2 and was using it
uptil about 2010..? Recently i have had need of photoshop and re-installed CS2 on my MacBook ,
(i uninstalled it cause i wasnt using it and it took up space). i installed it again i it keeps telling me i have to register it. I have used up my 30 days it gave me all the while trying to register and it would not take it. 30 days later and i cant do anything now. I contacted Customer service and they tell me it is registered and there shouldnt be a problem...I also told them it was originally registered under [email removed] but now i have my computer at home and i am using [email removed] which is current...They didnt have anymore answers and gave me this link for help...Thank you in advance

I chose the twangy electric or the distorted strat but i only hear clean sounds. No matter what kind of guitar sound i chose in the library it only produces clean guitar. How can i make it sound like it supposed to? Did i miss something i should do?

This definitely has me stumped as I'm unsure as to why your guitar can be heard, but with none of the channel strips plugins applied to the sound.
On the record enabled channel strip that contains your guitar input, is the "I" button located near the "R" active? Also, if you record your guitar, can you hear the FX applied to it when you play back the recorded track?

Small virtual company setup

I am trying to set up a small virtual company and am not sure how to find topics that discuss how to do it. Sorry if this question has been answered before.
We have three computers shared by two users at the main office. Both users have laptops and travel. I intend to use the third computer as OS X server. We are on cable with dhcp and no fixed ip address.
We have two employees in different offices with an imac on cable without a fixed ip, but sometimes they come to the office and will sign in on one of our laptops or the server machine.
We have a web server running OS X on a fixed ip currently running webstar, but are in the process of converting to OS X server for web, mail, etc.
Our biggest issue is sharing common files. If I set up share points and have each log in to the web server to share the same files, they are slow to open because many are 3 or more mb. I would like to sync local and server files for users to access everywhere.
Am thinking about using the web server for only web, email, etc.
Am also thinking of using the office server (no fixed ip, but could use DYNDNS so offsite machines can login via name instead of ip address) as the place to login, sync user folders, sync share points, etc.
How do I do this? I can figure a lot out if someone would please point me in the right direction.

you're welcome, but no, acrobat 7 cannot legally be used by non-licensed users for any length of time.
and while there are non-current adobe trial versions available back to certain versions, for acrobat, version 8 is the oldest trial version available. so, you can legally download and use (for 30 days) unlicensed acrobat versions, 8, 9, X and the current version XI.
the acrobat pro 7 that adobe is making available is only legal to use by licensed acrobat 7 owners. it is not legal to use for 30 days, or any other duration (limited or not), for non-licensed users.

A few questions about the basics

I just want to understand this whole framework better, so please help me where possible.
I have a selectOneMenu that I am populating through a database query. This works fine. I then have a password field that is next to it. I want to do one main thing.
Make the user select a user, type in a password. And I want my bean to validate it, im not talking about encryption, just plain text for now.
here is what I have for the login:

Basic question - Problems with basic query - Mask = INSIDE

I'm doing a basic query on Oracle 10g Spatial, is to determine the intersection between two layers (one point called "Calidad1") and other polygons, called "Parishes")
For issuing the following query based on the documentation of oracle:

If you go with the designer you will need to get Crystal Reports 2008 as it is the only version compatible with VS.NET 2008. There is no developer/standard/professional editions any longer. It is just a single product now.

Hi,
Technically you can use OBIEE with OLTP as well. However real world scenarios pertaining to OLTP makes it difficult for OBIEE to create Star schema from OLTP. Also OBIEE is an engine to perform analytics queries, while in most cases queries generated against OLTP schemas are operational in nature. Better option is to use BI publisher and do away with OBIEE when querying against OLTP.
OBIEE works with any database if you force to do. If you want to follow best practices, its recommended to use with OLAP systems. After all OBIEE is analytics reporting tool and OLAP databases were designed for reporting requirements. So its always advised use the OLAP to get better performance and better analytics from OBIEE.
Bottom line, you can use OLTP with OBIEE but performance will be an issue (not advisable).

Accounting software for small trucking company

I have been looking for accounting software specific to the truckin industry for mac. I really don't want to go back to a PC just for this. I can't seem to find anything at all...
Any feedback would be appreciated...

Industry-specific accounting and business management software is quite specialized and tends to the platform the most companies run, which even after all the gains in Mac market share is still Windows. So it's quite likely that the only software you'll find for the trucking industry is for Windows. That won't preclude you from keeping your Mac, though, if you have an Intel-based Mac. You can run Windows and Windows software on it either by Boot Camp (which runs a bit faster but requires you to reboot your Mac to switch) or one of the virtualization solutions (VMWare Fusion, Parallels Desktop, VirtualBox) which run Windows within Mac OS X and so doesn't require rebooting. You don't get quite as good performance with virtualization, but for an accounting package it should be more than sufficient.
