Question in swedish regarding font appearance

Kanske en dum fråga, men jag har en kund som ställer följande fråga till mig. Jag är trött på att klicka i drop down listan för teckensnitt(familj) för att se dom under liggande teckensnitten. Finns det någon form av visning inställning som gör att när man har mus pekaren över teckensnittet så öppnas dom underliggande upp med automatik.

I currently am building up the courage to delete Font Book off my macbook.
As always, Font Book has no special, or dire functional need for the OS. It's just another font manager. Delete away.
I use Font Explorer X but I feel that my fonts are all over the place (in various folders).  Should I keep my fonts in one folder?
As long as you're not trying to keep them in one of the three main Fonts folders, it doesn't really matter where they are. For myself, I have all of my fonts on a separate partition in a folder named (big surprise), Fonts. Within that, they're all separated out by how they were purchased or acquired free with other software. The basic gist is that I keep them all in one place and activate them as needed.
I would always suggest setting up FEX (or Suitcase) to open fonts in place, and not to copy them anywhere when activated. There is simply no need to.
Also, I tend to have many fonts (being a teacher, I use different fonts and doodlebats), but many do not show in the drop-down menu when I am using Word 2008 for Mac.  Why is that?
I assume you mean dingbats, rather than doodlebats. But anyway, if only Word is affected, then the most likely reason is that its font cache files are damaged. Office keeps its own font cache data. To clear them:
Close all Office applications. Remove the following files. The tilde (~) indicates your home account.
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache (11)
For Office 2008, the location of the second item is:
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Office Font Cache (12)
For Office 2011, the location is:
~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2011/Office Font Cache
Is Font Explorer X enough, or do I need Font Doctor also?
FEX has a good font analyzer built in. There isn't much of a need to purchase Font Doctor.
