Hi MY,
I can confirm that there will be a 4.1.1 release. Unfortunately I do not have any specifics whatsoever on its release date. I guess you will have to be patient for a little while longer. The eval download link still references the 4.1 version.
Thanks for your interest in NI products!

  • Question on replication in Oracle 10G Release 2

    Good day,
    I have a few questions on setting up replication that fits my scenario described below. Thank you in advance for reading and answering my post.
    Scenario
    I need to replicate 100-200 tables from the first OLTP server to the second DSS server that is read-only. The servers are physically located in different countries. Both servers use Oracle 10G Release 2. Required frequency of refreshes is 1-3 hours.
    Questions
    1. Is it optimal to use materialized views with fast/force refreshes for implementation of this scenario? If no, what are the better options?
    2. How do network interruptions and latency affect stability of work of replication with materialized views?
    3. How big is additional performance overhead at OLTP (source) server due to setting up replication with materialized views?

    1) I guess it depends on how you define "optimal". It's certainly a reasonable option. You might also look at Streams or even logical standby databases. There are various trade-offs involved, so it really depends on your environment.
    2) What does "stability of work of replication" mean, exactly? Obviously, if the network fails, the replication job(s) will generate errors. Depending on how you set things up, the replication process will be retried after increasing intervals until it succeeds.
    3) Maintaining materialized view logs on the OLTP system could certainly impact performance-- the logs have to be maintained synchronously with the OLTP transactions. That may or may not noticably impact OLTP transaction performance-- it's probably roughly equivalent to putting a trigger on each of the 100-200 tables. Something like Streams is designed to put less load on the source system because changes are captured asynchronously.

  • Questions about buttons: onRelease and on(release)

    I have been experimenting with buttons lately and am trying to use a function that uses the release mouse event. I was a little confused at first, since I found some tutorials that used onRelease() and some that used on(release) {...can somebody explain the differences to these and how to use either of them?

    if you're using as2, both onRelease and on(release) can be used.  on(release) is attached to the button or movieclip (highly undesirable) and onRelease is attached to a frame using the button/movieclip's instance name:
    // if your objects instance name is your_btn:
    your_btn.onRelease=function(){
    // code here
    if you're using as3, neither will work.

  • Beginner question about Web Services pack just released

    Hi all,
    I have seen that Sun just released Web Services early access Api. I'd like to
    know if this Api are compatible with Weblogic standards for Web Services. For
    example can I use the Sun's JAXM Api with Weblogic for creating and sending Messages?
    or do I have to use weblogic Api to do this?
    Thanks
    Francesco

    It defines what the parameter names should be exposed as in the wsdl.
    Without specifying it JAX-WS for example would just name the arguments as arg0 and arg1 which i not very meaningful to the client programmer who will use your web service.

  • Satellite P200: Question about ATI HD 2600 drivers release

    Will there be a release for a FULL XP HD2600 driver for the P200?
    I am waiting, since I bought my laptop for drivers, but it is still a BETA.
    I wrote several mails to Toshiba. I am seriously thinking of buy an other laptop with an NVIDIA card:
    1 & 2. Answer:
    There is a new driver available ---- no, it was every time the same driver, it has been only re-uploaded, there were NO changes
    3. Answer:
    use omega drivers --- haha, they dont work with 2k cards
    4. Answer:
    go to laptopvideo2go.com --- lol, they only have NVIDIA drivers!!!
    Because of that I want to ask here:
    Are there any informations for a driver release for a P200 XP Ati HD 2600 driver?
    I only want to know, if they will release a driver?

    Hi guys
    I have already provided answered your first thread in the gaming area!!!
    http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=27484&tstart=0
    One more info;
    Many different Toshiba notebooks series are delivered with the same graphic cards.
    So sometimes the newer drivers can be found in other notebook series area on the Toshiba driver page. Just take a look into different notebook series which were delivered with the same GPU and check for newer version.
    But there should be also a possibility to use the ATI drivers.
    You have to download the driver package from ATI and should install the driver from device manager.
    There choose Install from a list or specific location -> Dont search. I will choose the driver to install.
    Then choose simply the INF file which was downloaded with the package.
    But note; such drivers can be used only at your own risk!!!

  • [iPhone] Question about properties/ivars and retain/release

    I'm not sure I am understanding how the retain/release policy works for properties fully. I have the following property declaration:
    @property (nonatomic, retain) AudioPlayer *audioPlayer;
    An instance is created using the following code:
    self.audioPlayer = [[AudioPlayer alloc] initWithDelegate:self];
    If I call the following, the dealloc method of audioPlayer does not get called:
    [audioPlayer release];
    audioPlayer = nil;
    If I call this, the dealloc method does get called:
    [audioPlayer release];
    self.audioPlayer = nil;
    What about setting the pointer to nil using the 'dot' property notation makes the reference count get to zero when it does not in the above code block?

    The synthesized property adds 1 to the retain count. But the object was born with a retain count of 1, and 1+1=2.
    Splitting the first line into two may make it clearer:
    AudioPlayer * temp=[[AudioPlayer alloc] initWithDelegate:self];
    allocates the object with a retain count of 1.
    self.audioPlayer=temp;
    increases the retain count by 1.
    To get the result you want (retain count=1), do this:
    AudioPlayer * temp=[[AudioPlayer alloc] initWithDelegate:self]; // 1
    self.audioPlayer=temp; // 2
    [temp release]; // 1
    or this:
    self.audioPlayer=[[[AudioPlayer alloc] initWithDelegate:self] autorelease];
    This creates the object with a retain count of 1, increases the retain count by 1 because the object pointer is being stored into a property, and arranges for the retain count to be decremented by 1 in the not too distant future.
    You could also do this:
    audioPlayer=[[AudioPlayer alloc] initWithDelegate:self];
    which doesn't invoke the property setter but stores the pointer directly in the class variable. If you confine yourself strictly to doing this once only, at the beginning of everything, then it's quite safe. Otherwise the autorelease form is probably the best compromise in terms of readability.

  • Question sur livre blanc NI TestStand Shared Drive Deployment Reference Architecture (7061)

    La page suivante http://www.ni.com/white-paper/7061/en (NI TestStand Shared Drive Deployment Reference Architecture) décrit l'architecture possible en utilisant TestStand et lecteur réseau partagé.
    Je ne comprends pas l'explication suivante dans la chapitre Engine concernant le moteur TestStand : "A TestStand system can use a number of different engines.  With the exception of the TestStand Engine, you must install engines on the systems that utilize them."
    Pourquoi "With the exception of the TestStand Engine" ? On doit bien avoir le moteur d'exécution de TestStand installé sur chaque poste/banc de test pour pouvoir executer celui-ci, non ???

    Hi,
    Thanks to Google translator i could read your question.
    TestStand Runtime engine is required in every workstation/test machines if we need to run a test sequence (.seq files).

  • How to release process model sequence file object?

    Calling engine's method GetStationModelSequenceFile we get the reference to the process model sequence file object. According to TestStand Help, you should "Release this reference when you are done using it." The question is: how do you release it? Call engine's method ReleaseSequenceFileEx passing the reference to the model sequence file gotten from GetStationModelSequenceFile won't work, it returns FALSE which means the sequence file can't be released. Similar problems exist with methods SequenceFile.GetModelSequenceFile, Execution.GetModelSequenceFile. My aplication is written in VB. Using the statement like
    Set modelSequenceFile = Nothing also does not solve the problem.  I want to get some information of process model, such as version number, so I call those API functions in my code, which was developed under TestStand 3.1. I post this question because when I ran my application with TestStand 3.5 or 4.0 beta, I got the warning dialog when loading a sequence file and then closing the application. The dialog listed all the unreleased objects which I figured out is due to that the process model file was not released. Because message in the dialog is as following:
    The following top-level objects were not released:
            Sequences [1 object(s) not released]
                Sequence #1:
                    Name: Test UUTs
            Type Definitions [43 object(s) not released]
                Type Definition #1:
                    Name: TimeDetails
                Type Definition #2:
                    Name: ReportOptions
    Of course there are more in the list, but the sequence file loaded into the application is released correctly by calling engine's method ReleaseSequenceFileEx, so it does not appear in the list.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Here are what I did after launch the operator interface:
    1) Call Engine.GetSequenceFileEx to get a reference to a sequence file.
    2) Display steps of MainSequence of the sequence file in GUI.
    3) Call Engine.GetStationModelSequenceFile to get a reference to the station process model sequence file. The variable used to save the reference of process model sequence file is modelSequenceFile.
    4) Loop through all the sequences in process model sequence file, get the references of entrypoint sequences in the process model and put them in a container (VB Collection).
    At this point,
    Calling modelSequenceFile.CanUnload returns TRUE
    Calling modelSequenceFile.IsExecuting returns FALSE
    Calling Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx(modelSequenceFile, ReleaseSeqFile_UnloadFile) returns FALSE
    There is no other loaded process model sequence file reference at this point.

  • Adobe RoboHelp 8 is released! TCS2, too

    I've been using RoboHelp since 1992 and this is huge. Not
    only is Adobe RoboHelp 8 released, but the entire Adobe Technical
    Communication Suite 2 (now with Adobe Photoshop!)
    The Trial for individual releases as well as the entire TCS 2
    suite is ready for download and I certainly recommend you do so.
    I've had the priviledge of beta testing the entire suite and
    so many items on our "wish list" made it into this release. My
    congratulations goes out to Vivek Jain, Akshay Madan, Vivek Kumar,
    RJ Jacquez and so many folks who have put their heart and minds
    into so many new features. I'm sure our pal across the pond, Peter
    Grainge and Robowizard Rick Stone will be chiming in soon with
    their take. Hopefully we'll hear from some of the other beta
    testers, too.
    There will be much more information released by many folks
    I'm sure, but I've collected a roundup of links on my site that you
    may find helpful. They are all collected there for quick reference.
    I will be putting up some of my own original content as well.
    www.hypertexas.com
    There will also be 8 Adobe Captivate demos and the much
    requested 60-page Reviewer's Guide similar to last year with
    tutorials and such posted soon. I'd suggest giving it a test drive.
    Funny. After 3 releases within 2 years and a major Adobe
    suite, I don't hear much from those loud naysayers about whether
    Adobe is supporting RoboHelp and FrameMaker anymore. I can't
    imagine a software company putting more faith and engineering into
    this fine group of products for technical authors and elearning
    instructional designers.
    Thanx
    john

    Hey, Jared!
    Good news for how to respond to those upgrade questions as
    managers evaluate the new release.
    The
    Adobe
    RoboHelp 8 Reviewer's Guide has just been posted. It has 61
    pages of details feature-by-feature along with
    Try-It-Exercises
    that can be downloaded and used in conjunction with the Reviewer's
    Guide to explore and test-drive the new features.
    As you follow that link, be sure to download the Reviewer's
    Guide PDF so that you can more comfortably play all 7 of the Adobe
    Captivate feature/how-to demos which are embedded toward the end of
    the Guide.
    Also the
    Adobe Tech Comm blog
    has a summary of the RoboHelp 8 features and more links.
    This is definitely a major, major release. The thing I like
    about it is that it not only makes the author's job easier, but
    also has a lot of features for the end-user - particularly with
    navigation and *Search* (always a popular request)
    Thanks,
    John

  • Release necessary after GetInterface?

    My Acrobat plugin implements inter app communication support - it exposes an interface that I can access thru AcroExch.App.
    My question is - do I need to Release the object when done? eg myObj->Release()? Or is there another way to release the interface?
    Having recently tried this on Win2008, I am suddenly seeing a DEP (Data Execution Protection) exception on the Release call. Either that is unnecessary, or something else is going on (always seemed to work fine when it was run on Win2003, which doesn't have DEP[?]).

    You've not given us a lot of information to go on.
    If this is that important, then I recommend that you submit a formal support request though Acrobat Developer support...

  • Purchase requisition release (WS00000038)

    Hi
    I'm, testing the workflow WS00000038 for liberate purchases requisition.
    The workflow run succesfully, when i liberate the purchase requisition, this follow the standard flow correctly and send the respective workitems (TS00007986, TS00008018 ), to the respectives actors.
    But in the case when i receive the request for liberate but reject the position, the workflow don't execute the TS00008014, negative conformation, the workflow, follow the alternative events (SIGNIFICATLYCHANGED), that finish the workflow, and don't send message to the initiator of workflow.
    I don't know why the workflow don't execute the standard task (TS00008014) when the event was triggered, in the transacción when i execute the reject of position.
    For your suggestions.
    Thanks

    Hi all,
    Here's the scenario: We are developing our workflow strategy for purchase reqs. We have several levels of approval based on Purchasing group,Rel code, amount, and so forth. My problem is when the first rel code is release PR and he has also able to release other .my question is if one rel code release a person does not authorised to release other . I am using standard workflow template like WS00000038.
    Is that possible? If so, please advice..
    Thanks in advance. Points will be given..

  • MIR7 doesn't get PO and PO release strategy

    I can see PO item 10, 10000 MYR in ME23N, and it is already released.
    In MIR7, PO reference tab, I put PO number and item number, but mesages says no item number. and it didn't populate item from PO.
    what's the reason?
    also I create PR and released PR, but when I run ME59N and input PR number, it says  No suitable purchase requisitions found
    Message no. ME261? I can't generate PO automatically. I have to use ME21N, what's the wrong with my system?
    I tried one purchase group and PO can't be released, but when I change purchase group, it is ok, may i know the SPRO configuration to define certain purchase group for release strategy?
    also how can we set certain PO document type with release strategy and some PO document type without release strategy ?

    Hello
    For first question, Please check in the PO line item level Invoice tab, whether GR based invoice verification is checked. If yes, then system will allow you perform MIR7 after Goods receipt.
    Second question:
    ME59N should display the open PRs for PO creation. Please cross check once agian the input selection parameters.
    Third Question
    Yes, you can configure the Release procedure based on Purchasing document type/Pur group. You need to define the paramter as Charactetristic and assign to the Release class.
    warm regards
