Question on Adding Outlook Account
My school uses Microsoft Outlook. Is there anyway to sync that account to my iPhone?

This is what I have done since my original post; for the new songs on the laptop, I made a smart playlist to just show me the new music added as of a certain date. Then, in that playlist, I selected all the songs and did a right click>copy and pasted them into a single folder on my external hard drive. Doing it this way, put only the new song files all in a single folder with no subfolders.
Before I did anything more, on the desktop PC, I created a backup of the entire existing music folder just in case something went wrong.
Then I hooked the hard drive up to my desktop PC and copied the files into the "My Music" folder. After that, I dragged a few files at a time from the music folder into the iTunes library. iTunes then organized them into artist/album subfolders while adding them to the library. So far this seems to be doing what I want as far as dealing with the new song files.
Once I finish loading all the new music into iTunes, I will deal with replacing the existing songs with the updated ones, perhaps by making another smart playlist to deal with only the existing files and do the same thing as I did for the new files.
I would assume by doing it this way for the existing files, this will create duplicates in iTunes but then I can then delete the duplicates via iTunes.

Outlook is a mail client for PC's (and Macs). It is not a type of account. Do you mean an "Exchange Account"?
If so, then re-add it. The calendar events live on the Exchange Server. The only way to get them back is to re-add the account to the phone. The contents of Exchange and IMAP accounts are not part of the 'backup' as they already exist elsewhere. -
Hello, I try to sync ICloud with Outlook 2010 on a PC and it work well. When I tried to sync iCloud on a second computer (PC) with Outlook 2010 it didn't work. My question is, can I sync ICloud on two different Outlook account? Thank you.

It sounds like an earlier version of the BlackBerry® Desktop Software installed on your PC may be conflicting with this installation.
I would advise uninstalling both versions of the BlackBerry Desktop Software then reinstalling the latest version.

Ihave two outlook accounts...one is for my husband and that is the default one.....when looking cannot select the other "Outlook Ginny"....is ther a way two have both accounts show...both have separate passwords and separate emails

Why is my outlook account on iOS mail not logging in?
I have an outlook account that was logged in and used to work on the mail app on my iPhone 4s. Then it stopped receiving mail so I logged the account out and logged back in and a message keeps on popping up saying that it is unable to verify the account. So I deleted the account and re-added it yet the same message pops up. All software is up to date.
(The password and email address entered is correct, I can still log on into mail on a web browser)Ask Microsoft... It's their server that's rejecting your credentials, not the phone.

How do I get Share to use my outlook account?
when I try to use share to email a photo, Mail comes up. I select that and it tells me to add an email account. I try to add my Outlook account -I'm told I've already added that account. Circular reference! drives me nuts.

This issue might be caused by disabling mail sync, and it makes that account hidden but still present.
Please open the charm bar when mail application open, select Accounts from the charms bar in and then enable mail sync for the account.
Also you could remove this account then try adding it again.
1. Close the mail application
2. Disconnect from the internet
3. Launch mail application
4. Go to settings for the account
5. remove the account for this pc
6. Connect back to the internet
7. Re-adding the offending mail account

Unable to Set Up Outlook Account for HP ePrint
My company just bought a HP Laserjet Enterprise 500 M551 last week. I was able to download ePrint in my boss' mobile devices - iPhone and iPad, enable picture ePrint and added her Gmail account to ePrint. But I couldn't figure out how to add her Outlook account to ePrint, as I don't know those three - POP or IMAP, hostname and port number.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Outlook account unable to verify account informaion

I have a iphone and I have always been able to check my hotmail ( microsoft outlook) from my phone. Now when I tried to check my email I get a message OUTLOOK ACCOUNT UNABLE TO VERFIY ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I changed my password called the Microsoft support and spend $70.00 with them but the problem still is not resolved. What can I do?Hi I m no tech wizz or anything your tags says that you have an iphone 4, ios 7.1. Well ios 7.1 can have a range of issues some people are lucky. Well to answer your question if you have updated and the email doesn't work but before it does than I suggest backing up all of your data and try to restore your iphone.

I follow these step to set up my e-mail account
-setting Mail, Contacts, Calendars
-add new mail account
-selected Outlook.com
-entered my outlook.com address (hotmail) and my password.
-after that I recieved error "Unable to verify account information"
But when I follow these step I can get e-mail on iPhone 5S

-entered e-mail address and password
-enter IMAP hostname

What's causing email spoofing FROM my Outlook account
I detected email spoofing of my company email address through a notification that a message was undeliverable. My sys admin said to install antispam software on my Mac, but is that the problem? Does that protect against sending spam too? Is a virus on my machine a possibility? Or is it more likely on the server?
I'm not highly technical on system issues so I'm not sure what information is useful in detecting the source of the spoofing. Obviously it's important that my business email isn't spamming or infecting clients' machines, who are mostly PC, by the way. I use Outlook 2011 and also have an IMAP account on Apple Mail for the same company email. My Outlook account syncs to MS Sharepoint online.
I have no antivirus software installed. I use Flash and Java for work. I'm running Mavericks 10.9.4 and installed the update July 12, 2014. My system is running very slowly now, but that could be an unrelated issue with this 2008 model laptop.

It looks like my email address was spoofed in forwarding some spam about 6 hours after it was received. The initial spam message was sent to a group info@ address at my company from a domain in Asia and the content was in an Asian language script. That was then somehow forwarded from 'me' to a Mexican domain and rejected. [email protected] That address isn't in any contacts list on my machine and I've never seen it before.
It seems like a nasty little virus, but being a Mac user, I'm not at all experienced in those !
I also appreciate your comments on the SMTP protocol. It's really a shame it's so easy to do. I'm aware that there's a code you can set on your account that will verify an email came from you. My mail host added it to my personal account.

You can use your existing Skype account to avail Skype WiFi feature. Now, if your Skype account is merged to your Microsoft account, it should still work. You just have to use your Skype credentials to sign in to the Skype WiFi application or Skype application, not your Microsoft account credentials. You cannot use Microsoft account yet for Skype WiFi feature.
