Question on - GWIA - Relay Host for outbound messages setting

We are being forced to use a "centralized" message relay host due to
State mandates. So . . . most everything is working except messages
sent to comcast.net. For some reason the GWIA is trying to communicate
directly with comcast.net (76.96.62.116). Here is my configuration
(all my GW systems are GW 7.0.3 lastest service patch, NW6.5SP8 server):
PO - on its own server
PO MTA - on its own server
GWIA MTA and GWIA - on their own server
GWIA is configured to use "Relay Host for outbound messages:" -
domain.com
The following is from my GWIA Log showing where I sent a message to my
comcast and hotmail e-mail accounts. For some reason, the GWIA is
trying to send my comcast.net addressed message directly to comcast
server instead of relaying thourgh my relay host. Is there some
setting or config file I need to look at to see how this is
happening?????

  • GWIA Relay Host for outbound messages

    Hi,
In GW2012 I had two relay hosts configured for outbound messages. The IP addresses were separated by a space. Since the upgrade to GW2014, I can no longer add two relay hosts in the GWIA SMTP/MIME tab. When I add the second one, separated by a space, the admin console throws an error. The error says: "Internet address provided is invalid". According to the admin guide, it should still be possible.
    How can I resolve this?

This morning I did just that. However I don't see the switch being used. I checked the GWIA log and the GWIA web console and don't see any mention of it.

  • Relay Host for Outbound Messages not being used...

I have a new v7 GWIA on a new domain that is using the relay settings from the original GWIA (on a separate domain) despite its own settings.
    Anyone seen this before?
    Regards

Check your GWIA.CFG file as anything in there will override settings from eDirectory. I think the switch is /mh which is your Mail relay Host.
If that isn't it, when you say it's a new GWIA, is this a new GWIA installation? Is it a whole new object? Or is it a new server that is running against the existing GWIA object?

  • Using existing XSD for Outbound Messages

    Hello,
I am tasked with creating a new outbound message to send xmls to a SOA. I have been provided with the wsdl and xsd files that are being currently being used by the current system and I am hoping to use these exact same files in CC&B. Is there anyway to do this?

Looks like I asked this question too soon. I found that I could just reference the existing xsd files in my xsl file.

  • How to implement message throttling in DB adapter for outbound message

    Hi all,
In my current we need to insert huge amount of data in the Oracle database. But the database will provide us limited amount connection. As per our observation number of total incoming request will exceed the total number available connection. In this case we have to throttle the incoming message. I know message throttling can be done very easily using OSB. But in this project we are not using OSB. We are using BPEL Process Manager and Mediator. I tried to specify the number of thread in the outbound DB adapter but it seems there is no such property in oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBWriteInteractionSpec or oracle.tip.adapter.db.DBStoredProcedureInteractionSpec.
Can anybody inform me what is the possible solution. Thanks in advance.

    Check http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/core.1111/e10108/adapters.htm#BABDJIGB
Unfortunatly currently valves are not supported by JMS or Database Adapter – only for file and ftp. Maybe you could use it on the incomming side check http://technology.amis.nl/blog/13849/soa-suite-file-adapter-pre-and-post-processing-using-valves-and-pipelines
little off topic; would it be possible to use ODI? Seems more suitable for the job...

  • Multiple Relay Host question

In the GWIA settings under SMTP/MIME, the "Relay Host for outbound messages" we have the address for a Cisco Ironport c170 that filters our messages.
We want to add another Ironport for failover. If I add a second IP, can this be prioritized so the 2nd unit will only be used if the 1st is down?
What logic will/might be used when a second relay host is used?
Am I approaching this right or should I plan to let it send from either relay host?
Thank you for any help you can offer.

    I Like that answer!!!
On the Public side we are going to have different priorities on the MX Records.
I would prefer that One Ironport get all the messages, but realize they both most likely will.
We Quarantine all messages with attachments and manually release them "if" the recipient calls us to let us know they were expecting the message or know he sender.
So I assume we will have to check both Ironports to see which did the quarantine.
We will be using the Ironport Centralized Management to keep the two Ironport configurations the same.
If you have any recommendations or tips, Please share.
    Thank You

We are also using a clustered IronPort solution. We have both IP's
specified in the Relay Host configuration. It is my understanding that
the first IP is always used until it fails.

  • XAI outbound messages and JMS

I was hoping someone had some better (or more complete) documentation on how to go about setting up XAI for outbound messages using JMS.
I find XAI documentation rather sparse on this subject so I was hoping for some expert tips ;-)
Our setup is CC&B 2.2.0 with Weblogic 10 as application server. I am new to CC&B so I am not sure if I can just turn messaging on for everything or if it is business object/service specific.
To be more concrete - I would like to place Field Activity messages onto queue once Field Activity has been created/modified/canceled.
    thanks in advance

    1) Who and when are these outbound messages are required to be sent out..Kindly explain with an example.
Whenever the Outbound Message is created with Pending Status the framework will start to process
    for Example:-
I've have a change handler for Account entiry. so whenever the Account entity modified or created the change handler will be invoked. In the
change handler i've a code that will create a Outbound Message and i m storing the xml content in the XML Source of the Outbound Message.
So now the outbound message is created with the XML content and status is pending. Once the message created the framework will process for sending
    to External system
    2) Is my Outbound message a XML request enclosed in SOAP envelope.
Use the Message XSL file under External System page if you want enclose the xml content with SOAP envelope
    3) We configure an external system , with an outbound message type, XAI sender etc.So does that mean that the services of external syatem is interfaced through with CC&B through maybe the database, and the services of external system are defined in XAI inbound services. So that the MPL server reads the request, invokes the service name defined in the outbound request.
No... the process is very simple...
+1. you have created Outbound message type+
    +2. created XAI Sender+
+3. and External System(in the this page u've included all the abv configuration).+
+4. if create a outbound message the Framework will process and invoke(sending request to external system) the external system with the xml content+
wht u've stored in side xml source column.

  • Steps to Configure Port and Partner Profile for Outbound process

    Hi,
I want to Configure the partner profile and Port definition for outbound Message type REMADV ( for Vendor).
Could anyone please tell me the steps to configure.
    Thank you,
    Renu

    Hi Renu,
In partner profile we define the system which are going to communicate between themself and send data, here we give some logical name for the system which are going to be partners in data communication.we set it using WE20
Port is a medium through which we send the data it connect one system with the system in other end its unique, depend on the scenario we use diff ports like file port(EDI) transactoional port(ALE) internet port(for internet apl), like this i dont remember all the name, so according to our application type we select the ports we set port using WE21 usally tport name start with A*** something like this. withour defining a port we cant communicate with other system its the linker b/w the 2 system.

  • What triggers idoc posting in outbound message from sap ?

Do change or create events can be used to trigger Posting to IDOC? Have any body used idoc for outbound message sending from SAP?

    Hi Reddy,
    Posting IDoc Packets
Two groups of function modules are used to post IDocs:
    · Function modules which process IDocs in mass. These transfer packets of IDocs for which individual IDocs are updated in the same Logical Unit of Work (LUW).
    · Function modules which process one IDoc per call.
    · INPUTTYP contains the code for posting function modules.
To display the function module's INPUTTYP on the ALE Development screen, choose IDoc ® Inbound Processing ® Function Module® Maintain Attributes (BD51).
INPUTTYP can contain the following values:
    · "0", for function modules which process IDocs in packets.
"1" and "2" for function modules which process one IDoc per call:
If you post the IDocs immediately, the SAP sending system determines the packet size. ALE inbound processing can recognize if the posting function module allows packet processing and if so, passes the IDoc packet to it. If not, the IDoc packet is split into individual IDocs.
If IDocs are posted in the background, you can specify the size of the IDocs to be generated in the program RBDAPP01.
If you use function modules that can process IDocs in mass, the database load is reduced.
If you group IDocs into packets, this may also be practical for function modules that post inbound IDocs one at a time, because the ALE layer calls the function module several times in the same dialog process, thereby reducing the administrative load on the SAP system.
If program RBDAPP01 carries out the background processing, as a guide, you should use a packet size of between 20 and 100 IDocs.
Packet processing and parallelism complement one another. Packet processing and parallelism complement each other, although in some situations they may compete with each other. If the size of the packet is too big, this may mean that not all the available dialog processes are being used.
    Scheduling IDoc Posting
There are two ways of posting IDocs in ALE inbound processing:
    ·        Immediate processing:
Upon receipt inbound IDocs are immediately released for posting. ALE inbound processing splits the IDoc packets into individual IDocs.
    ·        Background processing
Inbound IDocs and IDoc packets are first saved in the database. IDoc packets are split into single IDocs beforehand.
The program RBDAPP01 later releases the saved IDocs for processing. Single IDocs can be put into packets and then processed.
    Perform the following steps:
    1.       Set-up background processing (IDoc/ALE area menu):
    IDoc Interface/ALE ® Administration ® Runtime Settings ® Partner Profiles (WE20)
Then the required setting is: In the detail screen Inbound Parameters select the option Trigger by background program.
    2.       Schedule posting (ALE customizing):
    Transaction SALE ® Set-Up System Monitoring ®
Posting IDocs in Recipient System ®Schedule
You can also process the IDocs manually by passing them to the posting function module.  In ALE Administration choose Monitoring ®Status Monitor (BD87), select the IDocs and then select Process.
    Regards,
    Kumar.

  • Mac Mail: Check for new messages doesn't work

    Hi,
In Mac Mail the setting at  "Preferences -> Check For New Messages" I have set for manual and yet Mail still fetches emails when I haven't asked it too. I previously had this setting set to check for messages every hour but it ignored that setting too so I set it to manual but this setting is ignored. Ideally I'd like to check mail every four hours but there isn't a setting for that.
I'm running Lion and have IMAP email accounts.
Any idea how I can get Mac Mail not to ignore my Check For New Messages setting?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the link. Well I never would have found that out without some help. I saw the IDLE in the IMAP settings I didn't know it was a kind of PUSH / FETCH thing. Anyway I've got it on manual now and only seems to get emails when I send one or press the button. I've only changed it a little while ago so I hope this is actually fixed.
Thanks again it was driving me nuts!

I Can't get music from iTunes it keeps asking for a secruity questions I was not asked for when I set up my itunes

If you log into your account via the 'manage your apple id' button on http://appleid.apple.com and select the Password And Security section of your account are you able to set the questions ? If not then is there a reset link beneath the questions on that screen (the link will only show if you have a rescue email address, which is not the same thing as an alternate email address, on your account) ?
If you can't set them or reset them yourself then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security.
If your country isn't on that page then try this form and explain and see what they reply with : https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
When they've been reset, and if you don't already have a rescue email address, you can then add one for potential future use : Manage your Apple ID primary, rescue, alternate, and notification email addresses
Or if it's available in your country you could change to 2-step verification : Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID

  • Delete messages stuck in status 12, Recorded for Outbound Processing

I am on a PI 7.10 SP8 system.  I have 59,000 XML messages showing in status 12 ( Recorded for Outbound Processing) that I would like to just delete or cancel.  These have accumulated over several days of testing interfaces.  If I have to allow them to be processed, that would also work but is not needed.  I have read about 6 different forum threads and tried several things but nothing has worked yet. <br>

  • Troubleshoot: How to process messages in "Recorded for Outbound processing"

    Dear Experts,
I have File >XI(3.0)>IDoc scenario with 10-25 interfaces. Per interface an average of 200 msges.
Now we have an issue. from past 6 days all the messages for one of the interfaces are in status: "Recorded for Outbound processing"(with that single small black right arrow) in SXMB_MONI(around 1760 till now). Other than this few 100 messages for couple other interfaces are also in same status. There are other message interfaces using the same Idoc type; but they dont have this problem.
I have checked the queues: SMQ1/Q2. There are no errors. The other threads mention about some reports; but all are for error messages. So that also did not help!
On the first day someone had deleted the error queue entry. They had first checked the message in the queues but  that was not showing any status. (This is very strange... but for some messages , the left most status column is not showing any status at all.. but while clicking on the end time column; I am getting the pop up which says succesfully processed). But this is not our problem right now.
Please help me process the messages in the "Recorded for Outbound processing" status.. some how!!!
Thanks in advance for your inputs....
P.N: Runtime workbench here is not configured properly. No CC monitoring tab; message monitoring shows only adapter messages etc.... So cannot check anything here

    Thank you for your inputs.
    @Udo.... SMQR- no issues.
    The RFC destination is fine.
@Abhishek The Idoc has not reached SAP. The xml messages in XI are in "Recorded for outbound processing" which is kinda like Scheduled, i think. Anyway I checked the R/3 cant find the messages or errors.
Any help would be highly appreciated....

  • "Scheduled for Outbound processing" message

    Hi,
My scenario is: R/3 (IDoc Customer) -> XI -> PC (file) and I use a BPM with option "multi to single".
In the Message Monitoring, I have two steps:
    1. Idoc DEBMAS06 --> BPM:
status = "Processed successfully". Thus it's ok.
    2. BPM --> my PC:
status = "Scheduled for Outbound processing" and in column "outbound" I have not "IENGINE". There is no other error message and obviously no data are sent to my PC.
Have you already seen this message?
    And have you a solution?
Note: Last friday, the same scenario was ok. I have just changed some data inside the mapping (occurence was not change).
    Mickael.

    Hi,
Try resetting the status to "Ready".
If you get SYSFAIL again, try deleting that particular LUW. If there are other messages waiting in the queue, just click on the unlock queue button and the remaining messages will flow thru.

  • To Monitor inbound and outbound messages for ECC 6.0 business system

    Hi Guys,
I am working on ABAP proxy. I want to monitor the flow of Inbound and Outbound messages for my Business system (ECC 6.0).
XI server is on a different system.
I understand that SXMB_MONI is used for tracking XML messages. What kind of tracking can we do by this transaction in our Business system and the XI system?
And how do I know whether the outbound XML message sent is lying in the Sending Business system or in the XI system?
When I am testing my interface, there is a fault message generated. How do I know whether the fault message is being sent to XI?
    Thanks,
    James.

    James,
Go to SXMB_MONI in your sending system.
Here you will find a message ID fro your Message.
Go to XI, --> SXMB_MONI -->Monitor For Processed XML messages --> Advanced Selection Crieteria and use the Message ID here to see if the Message has hit XI or not.
Likeiwse it can be traced in the target system as well.
The basic point,  The messages will have same Message Id on your R3 and on XI.
    Regards
    Bhavesh
