Question on iSetup and the files used

I have a customer on 115.10.2 and they are using iSetup to transfer data from their Hyperion DRM instance into their Oracle E-Business Instance.
The customer is moving the key flexfields data from the Hyperion DRM Instance to the Oracle E-Business Instance and has a question on the format of the file that contains the data.
The customer's file has all the fields that they want to upload into the Oracle E-Business Suite and this loads the data without any errors. However, the customer has concerns over the file and the fact that its structure is not a supported one.
Therefore the question that the customer has is:
The ldt file that the customer is using, does this have to be of a particular format/structure to be supported with iSetup when it calls the API's to load the data ?
The customer was concerned that if the file that they were using was not of a specific format then they would not be supported when uploading the data, as it may be classed as customisation.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated

Generally at the beginning of a data file (LDT), a dbdrv hint comment will specify the configuration file (*.lct file) to be used for uploading this data file. You should use a compatible LCT file (some times version is also important).
When data is downloaded using the loader, it writes out the entity definition for each unique entity type that was downloaded in the DEFINE block. Though not used while UPLOAD, it is a ready reference to validate the structure of the LDT.
During Upload, loader parses the config file (lct file) to get entity definitions for the data records

The "square" symbol that you are referring to is probably a CRLF (Carriage Return - Life Feed) Control Character.
This is more commonly known as a "Enter" at the end of a line / sentence.
To clean this character from strings in Java, please use:
String patternStr = "(?m)$^|[\\r\\n]+\\z";
String replaceStr = " ";
Pattern pattern = Pattern.compile(patternStr);
Matcher matcher = pattern.matcher(inputStr);
return matcher.replaceAll(replaceStr);

Industry standard files such as JPEG are compatible with many brands/versions of programs
Proprietary files such as those created by InDesign are often not backwards compatible, due to new features in newer program versions
This is not unique to Adobe... MS Word DOCX files are not backwards compatible with earlier versions of MS Word

If you're exporting a project then you'll only get the images in that project. Also if any of the masters are referenced then you won't get those masters unless you check Consolidate masters into exported library
It might be best if you started from the beginning and explained what it is your are trying to do and how you're going about doing it. Also a description of you're hardware/software setup would be helpful.

I have a file that has 8 columns. I need to add a line at the end of the file using VB script
I need this line to add numbers of amount column and put 22 in 7th column and leave the rest empty.

I am sorry but I don't think any of us can understand what you are trying to ask. What software? VBScript is a scripting language that you use to write a script. It cannot modify a file that is open by another process.
We posted the suggestion to look into using the FileSystemObject to append a line to a file. The examples show you how to do this.
I suspect that the real problem is that, since you don't speak English natively, we are not understanding what you are trying to ask. I know that, for me, what you are asking doesn't make sense. Another guess is that you have a program that is able
to use VB to do things. Is that what you mean by "softwares". Are you saying that another program is written in VBScript and you want to modify it?
You have to clarify these things.

Making a .EVO and .MAP file using DVD studio Pro..............

I am trying to make a .EVO and .MAP file using DVD Studio Pro. Please dont respond to this if you have no idea what this is. Dealing in real HD situaiton....trying to find a quick and dirty way to make these files as placeholders, was hoping DVD studio Pro could do it. Thanks.

you cant make them using DVD Studi pro, since they are for TRULY 1080p (23.98fps) projects using vc1.
funny thing is if you know about these files, you would also KNOW that DVDSP does not do this!
i have seen this files on the toshiba GUI but have not seen them with the blu-ray authroing compile.
also, i am going to have to say that if you are TRULY "Dealing in real HD situaiton." you wouldnt NEED DVDSP.
so ease up with the chip and if you have a REAL question ask it, if yo uare just here to show your feathers.. not interested!

I'm not sure what you mean by the 'apple support contact wont open' (?). If you mean the 'contact iTunes Store support' link on the page that you posted from I've just tried it and it seems to wok ok for me, though I haven't gone as far as to actually contact them.
You can contact either iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

This worked...found on a prior discussion:
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page)...

From the link above (near the top of the page)....Under 'download locations' click on 'download@majorgeeks'
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you just downloaded and ran.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Restart your computer.
Re-download Itunes (latest version form Itunes website) and install. It worked!

Use a utility such as Graphic Converter to change the image to a jpeg using options to reduce the size of the converted image.

I have a requirement of printing messages in log file and output file using dbms_output.put_line instead of fnd_file.put_line API.
Please let me know how can I achieve this.
I tried using a function to print messages and calling that function in my main package where ever there is fnd_file.put_line. But this approach is not required by the business.
So let me know how I can achieve this functionality.

Print without opening the file (using two Adobe versions)

I used this a lot but recently it's not working. Right click on the file, hit Print from the drop down and the file magiclly prints. (this magic saves a lot of time)
Now, when I right click and hit print I get a "Open With" dialog box, forcing me to open the file and then print.
I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Pro and also Adobe Reader 9.1 installed. I have reader because many websites require 8.0 or higher for pdf browser viewing. I am guessing the problem is somewhere in the file type association but don't know how to fix it.
It used to work for me but after some update it's not workinig no more

If you have a postscript printer or rip which has the ability to create hot folders to link to the printer queues you could simply drag-n-drop and PDL (page description language) file like PDF, PS, EPS to that hot folder to initiate printing. Again, very dependent on your printer/rip device.
