Question on order of actions for slide objects.

Dear friends:
I am trying to set up some effects on my presentations but am struggling with one special effect that involves actions.
So far I have been able to do most of what I need but the last thing I need is to be able to make two or more actions occur at the same time. In the build drawer on the side of the inspector window I tried setting two different actions with the same build order number but can't seem to be able to make it work.
How can I assign the same build order number to two or more different actions so that they run at the same time ?
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance,
Joseph Chamberlain

Have you applied both actions to the images and have them run automatically with each other? To apply two actions to an object, apply the first action, then click the "Add Action" plus-sign button to add a second action to the same object. Then, in the Build Order drawer, you can specify that both actions occur with each other.
Second (unlike what happens with the Grid smart build) as the images are scaled to more than 100% they become pixilated (as if they were being stretched beyond their native resolution). The images I am using are all as large as the projector screen and are re-sized within Keynote but their native resolution remain large enough so that in being scaled they should still render very good quality images. What is the problem here ?
The problem is the brain-dead way that Keynote does its scaling in Actions. What it seems to do is apply the scaling to the object as it first appears on the slide. In other words, even if you have a high-resolution image, if you've scaled it down on the screen, when you apply the Scale action to it, the action will scale up the pixels of the image on the screen, and not use the resolution information in the original image. (Note that the Smart Builds don't seem to have this limitation.)
Now, the hard way around this is to start with the full-sized image on the slide, and use an invisible Scale action to scale it down to the starting size. That way, when you do the scale up, the resolution you're working with is the original image, and not the smaller size's resolution. To do this procedure, for each image put the full-sized version on the screen, a) give it a Scale action to reduce it to its desired starting size (setting the timing of this action to as short as possible), b) make the image transparent (in the Graphics Inspector), and c) use an Opacity action to make it visible, set to run after the Scale action is finished (and again, set the Opacity action duration to as short as possible). What the audience will see is a small version of the image appearing on the screen -- the scaling down will be invisible. Now, with the image set this way, you can add whatever scaling and movement you like, and the scaling up shouldn't suffer from the same pixelation.
As an alternative to shrinking down the image first, you can also try a simpler approach that I've used to good effect, which is to do the scaling as you have, but immediately after the scale action is finished, dissolve in a full-resolution image of the same size on top of the scaled version. The pixelation in the scaling action is most noticeable when the action finishes, so if you dissolve in a full-res version as soon as the action stops, the pixelation isn't an issue.
Last but not least I noticed that the scale action allows images to be scaled to no more than 200% the initial size unlike the Grid smart build that actually stretches images to fill the whole screen. I would like to accomplish this same effect but using actions instead of the Grid smart build. How can I do this ?
If you want this effect, you will have to "chain" multiple Scale actions together -- start with a small image and scale it up 200%, then have the image at that size immediately appear and scale up a further 200%, and so on. You can use the Metrics Inspector to set the starting sizes of the images exactly, so that you know what size the scaled up image will be.

  • ACTIONS for OM.

    Dear Gurus,
How can i configure different action actions for OM so that i can regulate the flow of infotypes while creating the OBJECTS.
How to configure the actions for OM What are the steps involved in the same????
    Need your assistance on this.

    Hi,
IMG:  Personnel Management --> Organizational Management --> Baasic Settings --> Maintain Personnel Actions (or transaction OOMT)
Here you will find the standard actions for creating objects as well as the ability to create your own.  In most cases, you just need to list the infotypes you want for the object - starting with IT1000 and IT1001and any others you want to add.
Then use transaction PP03 to create your new object.

  • Setting a Conditional Action for Pre-Test questions: Skipping Content Slides

OK boys and girls, let's see if this is even possible within one course SCO, or if this a multi-SCO solution (which means I'm toast, because we don't have the multi-SCO aggregator)?
I want to set up a prescriptive pre-test. In my ideal world, answers to each individual question would either enable or disable the content slides connected to the question. If the user passes the pre-test, they could opt to skip the prescriptive stuff and complete the course. If the user fails the pretest, they would have to view the enabled content.
Is this even possible in a single SCO world?
    Justenuf

Jim belongs in that pantheon of good guys as well, so many here have pointed me in the right direction and helped me move forward with the capabilities of this software. And, in that spirit - here's my work around for the pretest/post test in a SCORM 1.2 environment:
Created an entrance slide that allows opting totake the pretest or not - but only allows you to take it once.
Created one test (take off the question x of x widget) split it and slide the content in between it. In this case, 10 questions with 5 in each set.
Titled the first set of questions as a PreTest and the second set as a Post Test.
Set my passing score at 4 correct. (the user only needs to get 4 out 5 on either set correct to pass - and I'm setting up an action that only allows the user to see the questions they missed if they fail the pretest.)
Created variables for each "pretest" question and set them at 0. Created on Enter advanced actions on each slide following a question that toggled the variable to 1 if the question was answered correctly  if "CpQuizInfoLastSlidepointScored is equal to 1" then "Assign Question<x> with 1"
Created an On Enter advanced action for each content area slide "Skip #" that allowed prescription:
"If Question # is equal to 1 or cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1, then Go to Next Slide"
Only the content connected to the missed questions in the pretest is seen.
Copied the same On Enter advanced action the Post test questions and renamed it "SkipPost #" that allowed prescription:
"If Question # is equal to 1 or cpQuizInfoPassFail is equal to 1, then Go to Next Slide"
Only the questions related to the reviewed content are seen
The sum total of these activities is the following -
The user can choose to take the pretest and complete the course by gettiong 4 or 5 questions correct and jump to the exit page.
If the user takes the pretest and scores lower than 80%, the content for the missed questions is viewed and the user must answer the questions regarding
that content. The user passes the course when he/she answers the fourth question correctly.
The user can choose to view the content, take the post test and pass the course by answering 4 of 5 correctly.
it's running right in preview, in web browser preview and on my LMS previewer, with one navigation error.
the error: after failing the pretest, taking the prescribed content and anse wering the questions correctly, the course occasionally jumps to the results page
and s displays a failure message, then freezes in place. it does NOT happen each time, which is why I am cy urrently scurrying back to my happy place to dwell
         on this mystery awhile.

  • The requested action is not supported for this object. [message 131-171]

    Hi,
One user is having the below error message appear when she attempts to print remittances. This has only started happening since yesterday and all other documents are still printing.
"The requested action is not supported for this object. [message 131-171]"
Any ideas what could be the problem?

    Hi Johnson,
I have not tried your suggestion till now as I am waiting for the database copy from my client.
Just a quick question, As I already mentioned earlier and I also keep getting the issues from the users reporting that the user's get this error only if they print 'remittance advise reports' has multiple invoices.
The report prints fine if it has single invoice even if it is a check payment.
Will your suggestions address this as well?

  • Keynote 6.5 Loses Ability to Keep Master Slide Objects Static for Object Transitions

A gripe that I'm hoping many of you are as infuriated with as me – and hopefully maybe someone can point out something I am not seeing.
In past versions of Keynote 6:
    Premise:
An object is placed on a Master Slide (not a placeholder)
That master is applied to slides.
An Object Transition (Cube, Revolve, Pop, Push, Flip, Zoom Perspective) is applied to that slide (which is followed by a slide with the same master)
    Result:
Only objects not on the master slide would animate during the transition leading to a premium feeling transition.
    Keynote 6.5
    Premise:
    Same as above
    Result:
All objects animate, including non placeholder Master Slide objects resulting in "too much" happening on screen.
As a presentation designer who makes a living on Keynote, this is a huge step back. I used to trick Keynote 5.3 into getting the effect that I wanted by taking screenshots of a blank slide and then making that screen shot the background of a slide. It was a time suck, often somewhat pixelated, a huge addition to file size (especially for templating), and cumbersome to make small changes like adjusting position of logos.
Apple... I hope one of your engineers are reading this and creates a fix for this in the near future.

  • Data collection for cost object hierarchy - no data at order level!

    Hi everyone,
When using transaction KKP6 to see my hierarchy for cost object, the system displays all the values that are allocated on my hierarchy nodes, but I do not have the values that should come from the production orders (repetitive manufacturing with production version).
I use transaction KKRZ to collect data for cost object hierarchy, but it seems that the system does not retrieve any information from the orders.
Would someone know about this point customizing steps to follow to retrieve my orders values?
Thanks in advance for your answer. Rewards guaranteed!
    Ronan

    Hi Amadeus,
To do so, I have used transaction OKZ5 in the customizing and ticked "always cost object hierarchy" and "distribution".
By doing so, you enable the system to distribute costs within a cost hierarchy. Otherwise the system will only determine costs on the hierarchy.
Try this, it may work for you as well. During your period-end closing, you sould now use "cost object hierarchy" instead of product cost collector.

  • Action for Replacing Contents of a Smart Object

I am using CS5/PS to create a collage created of several images (smart object layers) that I have positioned using individual clipping masks.
I would like to be able to replace the contents of the images, which I can do via Layer>Smart Objects>Replace Contents...,   but I'd like to have an action for a "one-click" process instead of three clicks.  Problem is, when I try to record the action, it requires me to complete the replacement, and then the action gets hard-wired to replace the image used in the action "record", and therefore doesn't allow me to select which image I'd like to use.
This functionality is available in PS Elements, so I believe it can be done.  I'm sure I'm missing something pretty basic, I just don't know what!!
    Thanks in advance,

  • No authorization for action: CRE with object: ADCP

    Hi,
I encountered the following error when creating an index:
No authorization for action: CRE with object: ADCP
    I was at transaction DB02 -> 'Checks' -> Database<->ABAP/4 Dictionary.
The checks indicate that there are some optional indexes that are not created.
The error is encountered when I select one of these indexes (eg. ADCP-I01) and try to create it using the 'Create in DB' button.
Do I have to assign some certain permission to my account? I am already holding the SAP_ALL and S_A.SYSTEM profiles.
    Thanks for any help,
    Tzyy Ming

    Hello,
As i had expected DDIC userid did the needful.
to see whether the index is created, you need to do the following.
    start transaction DB02
    click on the refresh button
You would then get a new pop up with two different buttons.
now on this pop up click the 'perform database checks' button.
System might give you a warning 'This will take time' , click yes and wait for the system to refresh the data.
Once system has refreshed the database data, you should be able to see your newly created index.

  • Editing the display time for grouped objects

Hello, I am having issues editing the display time for grouped items. I am using Captivate 7 and I love how now the grouped items only show as one item in the timeline because it reduces the number of rows visiblein the timeline for each object on a slide. However, now that the grouped objects no longer individually appear in the timeline, I can't make any display adjustments to the grouped objects as a whole.
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a work around? My main issue is that if I have to extend or shorten the audio for the slide, and I have assigned an advanced action to the grouped object, in order to adjust the grouped object to match the audio, I have to now ungroup, make the adjustment, regroup, then reset the advanced action using the new group name. It is frustrating and time consuming.

To expand and view the grouped items on the timeline, you need to click the Arrow symbol next to the group name. Once you expand, you can select the individual object and adjust the timings.
Alternatively, you can select the individual object of the group on the slide and adjust the timings from the Timing accordion. You can do this without ungrouping.

  • General questions on IDOCs and IDOCs for 2 Accounting Interface BAPIs

This post involves several questions pertaining to the topic of IDOC creation. I downloaded a couple of PDFs and tried googling for material on that, but things are far from being clear in my mind.
I tried to put my questions in some order, so we can follow a line of reasoning. Here we go, then:
I have one code where I there are calls to 2 BAPIs:
    - BAPI_ACC_ACT_POSTINGS_REVERSE and
    - BAPI_ACC_GL_POSTING_REV_POST
I am supposed to prepare/create an IDOC to perform the activities these BAPIs are responsible for, for the sole purpose of providing us much more details on the activities being executed in the system - this is one of the IDOC's features, if I got it right, its highly detailed logging of everything that is going on behind.
    Now, the 1st question arises:
From the material I read, I understood that IDOCs are nothing more than data containers, whose sole purpose is to provide a means of communication between two different systems/parties - one of them would usually be SAP. If this is right, than what sort of IDOC would be this one I am supposed to build - if there's not going to be any inter-system communication ? Doesn't it sound strange that pure "data containers" can work as "logging functions" ? Please share some light here.
The 2nd question - after I understand what an IDOC really is - is
then connected to the job I have to do. I found 2 IDOCs which I think have the proper/correspondent basic types for the 2 aforementioned BAPIs. They are, respectively:
    - ACC_DOCUMENT_REVERSE01 and
    - ACC_GL_POSTING_REVERSE01
Getting back to my understanding of IDOCs, I got that every IDOC is generally made of one control record, data record(s), and status record(s). 3rd question: Where do the segments fit in ? Are the segments definitions of the Data Records ? And why is it that some IDOC types have header segments only and others doesn't have one ? (header segments are not the same as control records, right ?)
Finally, what is the general process flow for creating/preparing an IDOC ? I looked over a couple of forum posts about this but some of them differ one from another in the order of the steps, some don't mention this or that step, so I am still confused.
4th and last question: what comes first ? The definition of a partner, the bonding of a message type with an IDOC basic type, definitions of the inbound/outbound interfaces ?
Any help here would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Avraham

    Hi Jaya,
Answer 1. Class is a template for creating objects. Object can also be called as instance.
Interfaces allow you to use different classes in a uniform way (polymorphism).
Answer 2. Normal abap is a procedural programming where as by using abap objects we can achieve object oriented programing.
    Answer 6. Source code:
In below code i have created a interface and a class which is implementing the interface. I have declared a reference variable of type interface and created a object. Then i have called a method.
    REPORT  ZABAPOBJECTS_INTERF.
          INTERFACE I1
    INTERFACE I1.
      METHODS METH1.
    ENDINTERFACE.                    "I1
          CLASS C1 DEFINITION
    CLASS C1 DEFINITION.
      PUBLIC SECTION.
        METHODS: METH2.
        INTERFACES: I1.
    ENDCLASS.                    "C1 DEFINITION
          CLASS C1 IMPLEMENTATION
    CLASS C1 IMPLEMENTATION.
      METHOD I1~METH1.
WRITE: / 'This is a method one'.
      ENDMETHOD.                                                "I1~METH1
      METHOD METH2.
WRITE: / 'This is a method two'.
      ENDMETHOD.                                                "METH2
    ENDCLASS.                    "C1 IMPLEMENTATION
    START-OF-SELECTION.
      DATA : REF1 TYPE REF TO I1.
      CREATE OBJECT REF1 TYPE C1.
      CALL METHOD REF1->METH1.
Question 7: Yes we need to create a class but most probably we use the existing classes.

  • MTO Sales order is NOT a COST OBJECT

    Hi All,
I'm working on MTO process and i have some question.i would like to clarify MTO process.
If we are using Valuated MTO process and Sales order is NOT a COST OBJECT
1.Are we going to run material cost estimate for MTO materials?
2.How can i configure or make Sales order is NOT a Cost Object?
3.If Saleso order is not a cost object, how production order process will work from controlling point of you?are we going calculate WIP on production order and WIP is settled to sales order or FI/PCA?
4.Once production order is complete,Goods Receipt will post to Inventory or Sales order stock?
5.Once production order is complete,we are going to calculate variance on production orders?
    Any help is appreciated...
    Thanks,
    Anusha

    Hi,
When the MTO is created from sales end it will create the Planned order then it will convert to Production or Process order.
Once the production do GR or confirm Produced QTY the stock will go to Sales stock not to inventory stock. From there the sales can do PGI to customer.once PGI has done the account entry for the customer account will take place automatically.
Once the production completed the Production order need to calculate for the variance & the Settlement need to be done for the production order against the Material which you produced & sale to customer. The difference & variane amount will post to Price difference & moved to Product cost of the material automatically & COPA entry will be done automatically.
The MTO Material need to run for the Cost estimate also.
The WIP can be calculated & difference can be posted against the production order & the material which you produce.
The Process is same as the Make TO Stock scenario.Only the difference is the Production will get generate automatically when the MTO order get created & the stock will post to sales stock automatically.Rest the CO part is same as MTS scenario.

  • EMIGALL performance for migration object OBJCLASS

    Hi all,
my previous question, was Classification of IFLOT & EQUI via CLB2 / CLB1  & was focused on improving performance of classification of IFLOT & EQUI objects.
Testing EMIGALL for migration object OBJCLASS I am seeing no performance gains between a single thread update & parallel update threads.  IE the single thread throughput is reported as ~the same as the parallel threads throughput combined.
    I note in the job logs of my various tests;
for a single thread, that no messages are logged between the start & end of the migration.
for parallel threads, that message C4 200 'Class "CLASSNAMEHERE" is locked' appearing many times.
I don't see any unexpected migration errors in ether case.
Are there any insights on how I might improve over all throughput using this method? I cant see any control parameters for this object, nor does the Guideline have much information on OBJCLASS.
    First world problems :-/

    Hello Daniel,
Without having much insight into your system and infrastructure details or the volume that you are working with, I suggest for you to try below for performance improvement.
    1. Run DB Statistics on functional location and Equipment related tables such as EQUI, IFLOT, ILOA, etc. (these are HLO objects that you are updating by way of classification). Also update classification table such as AUSP. These tables mentioned here as a starting point.
    2. Also strongly suggest that a performance trace be done on this job to analyze and identify another table or steps that may be a performance bottleneck and maybe a candidate for DB statistics refresh Or some other corrective action.
    3. The locks maybe occurring due to a mass update which is as expected. Perhaps to get by that you may want to use "commit buffering allowed" option for this migration object and set to say a number "10" or "20" to start with and see if it helps better the performance. As you would have noticed, locks will also impact performance.
    4. Please also refer to Cookbook for ISUMIG Performance and refer to sections for DEVICE, CONNOBJ and DEVLOC. These are HLO objects for classification and there may be some useful insight in that document too.
    Hope this helps.

  • Define Actions for Document Output - Activate / link std. Interactive Forms

    Hello,
The transactions 'Actions for Document Output' help tells me the following:
If the processing type External Communication is used for document output using SAP Interactive Forms, the following configuration needs to be done:
SRM Document (Action Profile)      Form Name            Format
    Purchase Order (BBP_PD_PO)      BBP_PO_ADB       BBP_PO_ADB_PRN
The interactive forms are available in our SRM system. Still up on searching the forms for f.e. the Purchase Order definition it can not be found. Only smartforms are listed. How come?
Has the setting in transaction 'PDF-based Forms for SAP ERP' -> 'Activate PDF-Based Forms' got anything to do with this?
    Kind regards,
    Tim

    Hi Jay,
I tried searching for it where you should link the form with the BUS object.
Following path (PO): Cross-Application Basic Settings -> Set Output Actions and Output Format ->  Define Actions for Document Output -> Action Profile: BBP_PD_PO -> Tab: Processing Types -> Smart Forms Print -> Search for Form doesn't include the Interactive forms.
I just realised: I need to add a new entry 'External Communication', would this entry be applicable for all communication methods? Thus fax + print + e-mail? And how did you go about setting it up, i suppose adding an 'external communication' entry next to the smartform entries in the std. SAP BBP_PO would be double (system wouldn't know which 1 to choose).
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • Order of execution of Callable objects in an ExecutorService

what determines the order of execution of Callable objects in an ExecutorService ?

}i ran this code within NetBeans on one XP machine. and ran it from the command line on a different XP machine.
    the sequence is always:
    *6*
    *9*
    *4*
    *3*
    *8*
    *1*
    *0*
    *5*
    *2*
    *7*
the sequence should be random because of the random wait???
the sequence looks random. why does "6" come before "9"? why is "7" last?
yet, the sequence is always the same.
i can't understand the order of execution of the Callable objects.
    note:
what i'm trying to do is implement my own version of the ExecutorService interface.
so, its important to understand the above question?

Normally it is a FIFO, but one can imagine using a PriorityQueue, given some kind of priority implementation in the submitted tasks.just to be clear for others who may be reading this, the order of submission is controlled by the queue implementation (where submission is the movement of a Callable from a queue to a thread). once the Callables are passed to threads, their actual order of execution is undefined (where execution is the invocation of the "call" method). And not only that, but even if we knew that the order of execution were call1, call2, call3, that still doesn't tell us anything, since there's no synchronization here, and hence any thread can be swapped out at any time. Call1 could be entered, but then swapped out before it gets to print anything, etc.
Bottom line: When you're dealing with multiple threads, unless you use synchronization, wait, notify(All), or higher level java.util.concurrent constructs, you have no ability to control or predict what executes when.

  • Order of execution for event listeners..??

    Hi there,
Looking at the JDK source, I see that all classes that generate events, iterate through the listeners in reverse order. What is more, they start at size - 2. I am first, confused as to why it goes in this direction, and second, why size - 2 is used. Does the last added one not get called?
As for reverse order, the problem I see with this is if a class that implements a listener in one way, then you want to add a listener, but your listener code depends on something being done within the first listener. For example, I created a simple file selection component. On the left is all files. On the right is the selected files. The component works fine. You can dbl-click a file to move it, or click the > or >> (or < or <<) to move selected files or ALL files in one direction or the other. The problem is, my component implements the ActionListener of the > and >> buttons. I made it public so that classes using this component could also add listeners. The main reason is, in the case of a "wizad", you do NOT want the NEXT button to be enabled until at least one selected file is in the right list box. So, when I add the listener, the component listener does NOT get called before my newly added listener. That listener does the job of moving the file and redisplaying the list of all files and selected files. But since my listener gets called first, that is not done, therefore the "selected" files list is NOT yet updated based on the button clicked. I am guessing that this occurs because of the reverse execution of listeners, and my listener is added after the component listener.
So, is there any way to reverse this without having to reimplement the list myself? I'd hate to extend JButton just to handle executing listeners in the order they are added. Seems silly to me that this is not at least an optional boolean choice to indicate the direction to execute listeners, but I sure would love to know why Sun has gone this direction.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply.
That seems very odd to me, that it puts two entries per one listener. So let me ask you this, is this so that it can store the listeners in a list, but also store the type of listener? While at first this seems an odd way to use a list, I have come across several times when I wish I could store two objects in the list as one. I thus have created an inner class taking the two objects (usually a String for a "key" and an object), and then stored that in the list. The reson is, I want to store MORE than one of the same type, so a Set is out of the question, but a list only adds one object. I wish there was a class that allowed multiple values stored under the same key. I guess this would be easy enough to create, but it seems like something so often used that the JDK would have this in it already. Unless I am mistaken, I have not seen any Collection implementec class that can have multiple keys, and each key can have multiple values. Have you? So, I take it, just to verify, that the reason for storing the class type, then the actual instance is just this reason..to figure out the type it is, then the actual object that implements it (the reference to it).
    Thanks.
