Question on plugin outputs.

While recording on Logic I use plugins like Native Instruments & Logic plugins too, that offer more than just a mono or Stereo out.Some of the plugins offer 8 mono/stereo outs etc.I have never used more than the regular stereo outs & I'm not too sure if it really helps.(Please let me know ).While recording in Logic,even if I select for example 4 stereo outs for a plug in,on the mixer I ony see the usual stereo bus & not 4 stereo busses.While using VST's in Nuendo I remember seeing 4 busses if I selected 4 outs for example.Please let me know how I could accessl the multi out option on Logic.
Thanks.

Hi
In Logic, once you have added a Multi Output Instrument plugin, you have to open the Mixer and manually add the extra output Aux chanels using the + sign at the bottom of the channel strip

  • CBWFQ: Question about the output of "show policy-map interface" command

    Hi everyone,
    I have a question about the output of "show policy-map interface" command.
    The following is the output of this command and lower side of the output shows
    (total queued/total drops/no-buffer drops) 0/342/0
    If the packets drop occur due to the situation of no enough buffer,
    "no-buffer drops" counted up. But "no-buffer drops" has not been counted up.
    The "no-buffer drops" is 0 (zero) but "total drops" are counted as 342.
    I guess there are other factors except "no-buffer drops" to add "total drops".
    But I can not find any information about "other factors".
    So I would like to know the "other factors" added to "total drops".

  • Eclipse plugin output

    I'm having, or at least think I'm having, a problem with the Eclipse
    plugin that I'm hoping somebody can help me with. I'm not getting any sort
    of feedback when I enhance or perform schema operations. The Kodo View in
    Eclipse shows nothing and one or both of the Log/Output panes of the View

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Its probable that when you select yes, that actual work is not getting
    done and the error is not being logged correctly. How did you configure
    your database connection? If you select yes (e.g. actually create the
    tables), can you see the changes being made in the database? If not, are
    you able to connect using Kodo standalone?
    We focus our plugins towards major releases and can't verify our plugin
    compatibility with each minor or milestone release. Sorry about the
    difficulty there. Unfortunately, Eclipse's API often changes drastically
    without notice.

  • Help, basic question, no audio output?

    I have a Mac Pro running latest version of Logic Pro. I'm not new to audio software (come from a Cakewalk background on the Windows platform), but I'm relatively new to Mac Pro and Logic Pro.
    I seem unable to get any audio output from my setup when using a Logic Midi Track (i.e. GM Device Piano).
    My hardware:
    Mac Pro
    M-Audio Axiom 25 Keyboard/controller (connected via USB to Mac Pro)
    MOTU UltraLite (connected via FireWire to Mac Pro)
    M-Audio ProjectMix I/O (connected via FireWire to Mac Pro)
    I can bring up the Loop Browser and play loops and place loops in the Arrange view but I can't seem to use my USB/MIDI M-Audio Keyboard to generate any Audio via the Motu.
    Also, I can see the Midi events in the Logic Transport Window.
    If I load up garageband the M-Audio & Motu Ultralite work just fine, so I'm confused as to what I'm not doing right in Logic Pro? It must be something really basic I'm missing.
    Sorry for such a basic lame question, but I'm stumped!
    Thanks, Rob.

    well of course there is no official word on when an update to logic will arrive with a significant GUI overhaul. personally I hope that such a step is taken carefully.. this software is the backbone of many people's working life, so and big changes to the interface are hopefully being considered and integrated carefully.
    I'd hope that a major overhaul to the logic UI won't just be cosmetic. there is a lot of legacy code left over from emagic days that do not make use of the latest OSX technology and so are not optimised. an example - look at how slow the screenset changes are. there is always a delay in response time to when you change a screenset, in some cases this can actually be slower than it was on older machines running OS9. as far as I can tell this is because it's all part of some custom graphics code in logic and doesn't make use of OSX quartz and probably not the graphics card effectively either. as a comparison, look at how incredibly responsive exposé is. it always seems to stay that responsive regardless of CPU load, so there has got to be a way to make the GUI features of logic perform just as snappily as the system ones.
    same goes for the painful, annoying delay in mouse click response time, which is worse since OSX than it was under os9. a rewrite of logic's UI will hopefully sort this problem out too.
    these things may seem like irrelevant nitpicks, but trust me, when you become a power user and you are cutting audio and throwing parts of your arrangement around like nobody's business, the sticky slow response of the GUI really penalises you.

  • Questions on HTML5 Output in FrameMaker 12

    I have a couple questions about the HTML5 Output:
    1. I have images that are not appearing in the output (they are in the source FM file, but not in the HTML5 output). What am I doing wrong?
    2. Is there a way to disable the glossary function so that it doesn't appear as an option in the HTML5 output?
    Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    1. Are all of the images in anchored frames? Have you edited any of the settings under Style mapping > Image?
    2. Currently, AFAIK, this is hardwired. You could try spelunking in a saved settings.sts file (it's just a zip container) to see if this can be turned off there [if you're quite familiar with XML, DTD's (.slp file), HTML and javascript],

  • Apostrophes are replaced by question marks in output string?

    Hi Guys
    I think this is an encoding problem but I cannot find it in the forum archives. My apostrophes are being replaced by question marks on my jsp output?
    Any idea why and how to get them back to apostrophes
    Cheers, ADC

    Guys, the 3rd party product has no trouble at all
    showing the apostrophes from the self-same database
    that I get question marks from.
    This MUST be an encoding issue, so anyone that knows
    about encoding and changing it please could you
    suggest something. You can take for granted that one
    way or another the character in the database IS an
    apostrophe as verified by viewing it via the 3rd party
    product we have.You said...
    In the SQL database view they come out as squares
    Were you referring to the normal applications that are available for viewing data for the database (like SQL*Plus or Enterprise Manager?)
    If yes, then if it was me then I would presume it was not an apostrophe and that the third party tool was mapping the real character to an apostrophe. A 'square' indicates an unusual character in viewers.
    Are you using EBCDIC? Unless EBCDIC is involved apostrophe has the same value in most if not all character sets because ANSI forms the lower range for most character sets. I know for example that Korean, Japanese and Chinese character sets use ANSI, as does unicode (with padded zeros for the wider ranges.)

  • Questions regarding PO output in SRM 4.0

    Hi All
    I have several questions regarding the settings for PO output in SRM 4.0 ( Ext. classic)
    Would really appreciate if someone provides me the rationale and business reasons behind some config settings:
    I am referring to BBP_PO_ACTION_DEF transaction in IMG
    1) What is the difference between Processing when saving document & immediate processing. SHouldn't the PO output be always processed after the PO is changed and saved?
    2) In the Determination technology what is the significance of the term ' Transportable conditions'. Why would it be different if the conditions were manual and not transportable?
    3) In the Rule type what is the signifcance of Workflow conditions? How workflow controls the output?
    4) What is the meaning of ' Action merging' in layman's terms and what do each of the choices like "Max. 1 Unprocessed Action for Each Processing Type" signify.
    5) What powers do the 'changeable in dialog' & 'executable in dialog' indicators assign to the user processing the PO. What happens if these indicators are not set.
    6) What does ' Archive mode' in processing type signify. Are the PO outputs archived and stored?
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hello,
    Have a look at note 564826. It has some information.
    As far as I know, processing time 'Immediate Processing' is not allowed. I really don't know the reason.
    "Processing Time" should be defined as "Process using Selection Report" when an output should be processed by a report, such as RSPPFPROCESS, for example.
    If you set this as "Process when Saving document", then the output will be sent immediately, otherwise you have to process it with transaction BBP_PPF.
    I hope I could help you a little.
    Kind regards,
    Ricardo

  • 2 Dumb Questions: Toggle Script Output tab / Set Serverouput Toggle

    I use SQL Developer quite a lot, but I need some basic help
    I'm using SQL Develeoper 3.0.04
    Question 1.
    If I ever close [X] the Script Output tab/window, I have a huge headache trying to open/unhide it again. I can't do it!
    I've looked in the menus,
    Preferences / Keyboard shortcuts etc but I just can't see it.
    So how to a make the Script Output tab re-appear? THere must be a toggle somewhere.
    Question 2.
    In a previous version of SQL developer, I used SET SERVEROUTPUT ON.
    The output from all my dbms_output.print_line statements would appear in the script output window FOR THE ENTIRE SESSION.
    In this version that I'm using, everytime I run an anon block I have to preceed the block with SET SERVEROUTPUT ON.
    It doesn't remain ON for the entire session. It only affects the next block of code that I try to execute.
    An I doing something wrong?
    Thanks for any help.

    Have you tried using the DBMS_OUTPUT window?
    Select 'view -> DBMS Output
    Then if you roll-over the '+' sign on the DBMS Output Window toolbar you will see that it says 'ENABLE DBMS_OUTPUT FOR CONNECTION'.
    Click it and all output should display in the window.

  • Level of plugin output remains the same despite varying velocities

    For some reason, no matter where I vary the velocity of the midi hit, the level of the output my plugins produce remain the same. In other words, if I set up 10 different snare hits in BFD drum module, they will all come out at the exact same dynamic level...and this goes for all of my plugins.
    The strange thing is, for the midi hits I had already mapped before the problem arose, the dynamics vary just like they should when I play them in real time...but for everything new I try to program, the dynamics stay the same as I am actively programming them and as I play them back. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated
    -Andrew

    tbird, a correction:  there isn't a filter that filters velocity. It's only notes, globally.
    OK, time to do some serious troubleshooting here.
    1. Go to the clicks/ports layer, select ALL, and hit DELETE. That's right, you're going to get rid of everything you see there. This will NOT affect MIDI from getting into Logic. Doing this absolutely ensures that there's nothing to prevent incoming velocity data from being altered.
    2. Open a Transport and look at the MIDI monitor portion. The top line shows incoming MIDI. The bottom line shows outgoing MIDI. If your thru parameters are set to alter MIDI in any amount, the velocity values you see at top will not match those at bottom. So click on one of the tracks where velocity is not having any response and play some notes, keeping an eye on the velocity values of the MIDI monitor. Are top and bottom showing the same values?
    3. Save the channel strip for your BFD. Close your song entirely. Open a new autoload song, go to an instrument, and load that channel strip. Play the sound that wasn't responding to velocity. Is it responding correctly now?
    4. The sound source (plug, outboard MIDI) has to be programmed to be velocity sensitive to some degree in order for velocity to have an effect. Look at whatever programming parameters are available in your plug and confirm for yourself that they are indeed set to respond to velocity.
    Now, I don't know BFD, but Jord mentioned something about velocity curves. There could well be a velocity curve that results in any incoming velocity values being mapped to 127. Check to see if this is the case.

  • PL/SQL...Unsure how to loop thru multiple questions and display output?

    This is my first pl/sql program, I've written psudocode on paper, but not sure what to do for two parts.
    What I'm trying to do is write pl/sql that will check a row based on an employee id #.
    declare
    cursor cur is
    select *
    from employee
    where employee_id = foo;What we are checking are the results the employee answered. They have answered 180 questions and I want to find when the answer a 0, 7, and 9.
    Basically the pl/sql has to loop thru the 180 questions
    loop
    v_count := vcount + 1
    select *
    from employee
    where q1 thru q180 in (0, 7, 9);
    end loop;
    dbms_output.put_line ('Employee ID' || employee_id);
    dbms_output.put_line ('Q1 - Q180' || q1 - q180); I'm not sure how to write the pl/sql to loop thur all 180 questions.
    I'm not sure how to display the output to show what question they scored a 0, 7, and/or a 9 on.
    thanks

    536 columns in one table? Yowsa. Without a normalized table, you are going to need dynamic pl/sql and a messy solution.
    I would rethink your design, and come up with something more like so:
    employee
    questions
    employee_responses
    So that would you could easily do something like this:
    declare
      cursor c1 is
        select ers.question_id,
               que.question_name,
               ers.rating
          from employee emp,
               questions que,
               employee_responses ers
         where emp.employee_id = ers.employee_id and
               que.question_id = ers.question_id and
               emp.employee_id = v_employee_id and
               ers.rating in (0, 7, 9) and
               que.enabled_flag = 'Y';
    begin
      for r1 in c1 loop
        dbms_output.put_line('Question: '||r1.question_name);
        dbms_output.put_line('Employee Rated this: '||r1.rating);
      end loop;
    end;Thats how I would do it - I think you are going down the wrong path. What happens if you need to create a new question or delete one? You constantly have to modify the table. Hope this helps

  • Hey Guys stupid question for final output.

    Heres a dumb one guys. Ive been working long enough with this program and ought to know but Im having a terrible time. Let me start from the end.
    Final output is 1280 X 720 QT movie inserted into keynote 08' in a new imac 20"
    Knowing that computer displays, display a square pixel I start there.. here are my project settings.
    preset: custom
    1280 x 720
    8 bit
    ntscd1/dv
    field order none
    dither -unchecked
    field rendering and motion blur off
    All looks good here... then off to FCS2 timeline.. here are those settings
    1280x720 (hdtv 720p 16x9 pulldown
    pixel aspect ratio: square
    field dom: none
    Compressor: dv/dvcpro ntsc
    So heres the deal...my video all looks great once on the imac, My GFX however are blown out and somewhat blurry...... I have messed and messed with this thing. My original thinking was to stick with broadcast specs and all would be fine, Now ive starred at this for so long Im losing focus.
    So heres the big question.. knowing we going to a computer display what settings would you guys use??
    Thanks

    I don't know a huge amount about NTSC, but you seem to be mixing square and non-square pixels here from what you have written.
    If you drag a rendered clip into a new timeline do you not get the dialogue box asking if you want to make the sequence into the same format as the clip?
    Check render settings too

  • Questions regarding analog output

    I want to build a LabVIEW file to generate analog output signal. Basically, if a variable (say, temperature) is between 250 and 500, voltage will be applied to a valve and open the valve. The attached is my first try using LabVIEW. But there is an error:
    Error -200077 occurred at Property Node DAQmx Timing (arg 1) in DAQmx Timing (Sample Clock).vi:1->pulse based valve control.vi
    Possible reason(s): Requested value is not a supported value for this property.
    Property: SampTimingType
    You Have Requested: Sample Clock
    You Can Select: On Demand
    Task Name: _unnamedTask<2>
    The DAQ device I used is USB-6009. I tried different sample modes, but nothing worked. How can I fix this problem?
    Also, for the next step, I will use AI (temperature) and AO (voltage) in the same LabVIEW file. Here are some other questions.
    1. Is it necessary to set sample rates for the AI and AO channels?
    2. Is it necessary to synchronize the sample clocks for AI and AO channels?
    Thanks,
    Bei

    Hi Qifu,
    If you are new to LabVIEW and DAQmx, I would suggest reading
    this tutorial. The shipping examples are also a wealth of knowledge.  (Help >> Find Examples >>
    Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx >> Synchronization >>
    Multi-
    Function)
    You did not specify how fast you will be acquiring
    data.  I will assume that you will be
    acquiring and generating at a slow rate since you are measuring
    temperature.  Yes, you should set the
    sampling rate and sample clocks the same for both the AI and AO.  I would refer to the example (Multi-Function-Synch
    AI-AO) in the example finder on how to accomplish this.

    My primary question is how exactly is the html file that is playhed by the browser created in Encore?  I have tired this and I am simply unable to located the html file as seen in the tutorials on this subject.  I see that these tutorials have templates which I don't see when I select the flash output.  Do I need these to crreate a simple flash file that is playable on a website?  Where to the templates come from?  This is not explained in the tutorials.
    Is the index.html file created automatically when Flash output is selected as the format?  Maybe I am doing something wrong but I have never found them?
    Please help as I am having to go through a two step process to create the requied index.html and embeded player from which the SWF is played.on a site.  I am only interested in creating progressively encoded web site playable files from Encore.  Please help!.

    Encore creates the HTML file when you export to Flash - it's in the folder named on export, along with all the other files you'll need.

  • Questions about input/output streams

    In the following tutorial:
    http://chortle.ccsu.ctstateu.edu/CS151/Notes/chap85/ch85_10.html
    It mentions that some methods, such as write(), writeByte(), writeBytes(), and writeChar(), return the low eight bits of the argument to the output stream. I am a little unsure of what exactly that means, might somebody be able to clarify for me?
    In addition, I've been encountering the flush() method in some of the byte- and character-streaming objects that deal with buffers. What exactly is the flush() method's purpose, and when might it be used? Thank you.

    flush pushes the data out of the buffer. the write methods write to the buffer, when the buffer is full, it flushes itself (usually), or it could block the write methods (in theory). flush just lets you make sure that it's flushed.
    I'm not sure there's any reason to worry about high and low bytes in Java most of the time. I suppose, like anything, there's times you need to, but I can't think of any offhand.

  • 2 part question about PDF output in RoboHelp 8

    I've been able to generate fairly clean-looking PDFs in RoboHelp with the entire Help contents.
    My 2 questions are:
    1)  Is there a way to generate a Word document from the Help contents?  I notice that when I choose "batch generate" it appears to generate
    a Word doc that behaves as a distiller file and then creates a PDF.  Is there a way to generate just a Word document?
    2)  If not, is there a way to set the settings within RoboHelp to allow you to edit the text in the generated PDF?
    I do not have the full version of Acrobat and can't edit text with Adobe Reader.
    thanks for any feedback!
